1Palaeoecological Analysis of Trace Fossil Sinusichnus sinuosus from the Middle Triassic Guanling Formationin Southwestern China显示文摘The Luoping Biota discovered from the early Middle Triassic(Anisian) Guanling Formation of southwestern China represents a fully recovered shallow marine ecosystem, marking the end point of Early Triassic biotic recovery following the end-Permian mass extinction. Contemporaneously preserved are prolific trace fossils, which offer good opportunities to understand the palaeoecology of marine invertebrates from a fully recovered shallow marine ecosystem. Here we present a newly discovered sinuous branching burrow from the fossil-bearing unit in Member II of the Guanling Formation. Several features, including the horizontal regular sinuous nature, the branching pattern, typical H-junction, and the small wavelength/amplitude ratio of these sinuous structures within the burrow systems justify assignment of these traces as Sinusichnus sinuosus, a trace possibly produced by decapod crustaceans. Close association of S. sinuosus with Rhizocorallium commune suggests a deposit-feeding strategy of these trace makers. The newly reported Anisian material from the Guanling Formation in Luoping represents first report of Sinusichnus from South China. The global record of Sinusichnus occurrence suggests that these burrows might have an older history than Early Middle Triassic.Mao Luo Yi-Ming Gong G. R. 4Recent progress and future perspectives of flexible metal‐air batteries显示文摘With the rapid development of wearable and intelligent flexible electronic devices(FEDs),the demand for flexible energy storage/conversion devices(ESCDs)has also increased.Rechargeable flexible metal‐air batteries(MABs)are expected to be one of the most ideal ESCDs due to their high theoretical energy density,cost advantage,and strong deformation adaptability.With the improvement of the device design,material assemblies,and manufacturing technology,the research on the electrochemical performance of flexible MABs has made significant progress.However,achieving the high mechanical flexibility,high safety,and wearable comfortability required by FEDs while maintaining the high performance of flexible MABs are still a daunting challenge.In this review,flexible Zn‐air and Li‐air batteries are mainly exemplified to describe the most recent progress and challenges of flexible MABs.We start with an overview of the structure and configuration of the flexible MABs and discuss their impact on battery performance and function.Then it focuses on the research progress of flexible metal anodes,gel polymer electrolytes,and air cathodes.Finally,the main challenges and future research perspectives involving flexible MABs for FEDs are proposed.Tingzhen Li Xinwen Peng Peng Cui Ge Shi Wu Yang Zehong Chen Yongfa Huang Yongkang Chen Jinyuan Peng Ren Zou Xiaoyan Zeng Jian Yu Jianyun Gan Zhiyuan Mu Yuling Chen Jiaming Zeng Juan Liu Yunyi Yang Yujia Wei Jun Lu 2021SmartMat2021,2,4:1
5Availability growth models and verification of power equipment显示文摘The general availability growth models for large scale complicated repairable system such as electric generating units, power station auxiliaries, and transmission and distribution installations are presented. The calculation formulas for the maintenance coefficient, mathematical expressions for general availability growth models, ways for estimating, and fitting on checking the parameters of the model are introduced. Availability growth models for electric generating units, power station auxiliaries, and transmission and distribution installations are given together with verification examples for availability growth models of 320–1000 MW nuclear power units and 1000 MW thermal power units, 200–1000 MW power station auxiliaries, and 220–500 kV transmission and distribution installations. The verification results for operation availability data show that the maintenance coefficients for electric generating units, power station auxiliaries, transmission and distribution installations conform to the power function, and general availability growth models conform to rules of availability growth tendency of power equipment.Jinyuan SHI Jiamin XU 2021Frontiers in Energy2021,15,2:0

8Equivalent model of multi-type distributed generators under faults with fast-iterative calculation method based on improved PSO algorithm显示文摘There are various types of distributed generators (DGs) with different grid integration strategies. The transient characteristics of the fault currents provided by the DGs are different to those of conventional synchronous generators. In this paper, a distribution network with multi-type DGs is investigated, including consideration of DG low-voltage ride through (LVRT). The fault current characteristics of two typical DGs, i.e. an inverter-interfaced distributed generator (IIDG) and a doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG), are analyzed, considering the specific operation modes. Based on analysis of the fault characteristics, an equivalent model of the multi-type DGs under symmetrical/asymmetrical fault conditions is established. A fast-iterative fault calculation method for enhancing the calculation efficiency while avoiding local convergence is then proposed using an improved particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm. A simulation system of the distribution network with multi-type DGs is established in PSCAD/EMTDC. The simulation results validate the high accuracy and calculation efficiency of the proposed calculation method of the fault components. 9Rapidly separating dissolving microneedles with sustained-release colchicine and stabilized uricase for simplified long-term gout management显示文摘Despite growing prevalence and incidence,the management of gout remains suboptimal.The intermittent nature of the gout makes the long-term urate-lowering therapy(ULT)particularly important for gout management.However,patients are reluctant to take medication day after day to manage incurable occasional gout flares,and suffer from possible long-term toxicity.Therefore,a safe and easy-tooperate drug delivery system with simple preparation for the long-term management of gout is very necessary.Here,a chitosan-containing sustained-release microneedle system co-loaded with colchicine and uricase liposomes were fabricated to achieve this goal.This microneedle system was confirmed to successfully deliver the drug to the skin and maintain a one-week drug retention.Furthermore,its powerful therapeutic potency to manage gout was investigated in both acute gouty and chronic gouty models.Besides,the drug co-delivery system could help avoid long-term daily oral colchicine,a drug with a narrow therapeutic index.This system also avoids mass injection of uricase by improving its stability,enhancing the clinical application value of uricase.In general,this two-drug system reduces the dosage of uricase and colchicine and improves the patient’s compliance,which has a strong clinical translation.Yao Yang Zimu Li Ping Huang Jiachan Lin Jinyuan Li Kexin Shi Jiahui Lin Jingwen Hu Zhuoxian Zhao Yongkang Yu Hongzhong Chen Xiaowei Zeng Lin Mei 2023Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2023,13,8:0
