2Inhibition effects of benzalkonium chloride on Chlorella vulgaris induced corrosion of carbon steel显示文摘In this work,a surfactant,benzalkonium chloride(BAC),was used to study its effects on both the growth of Chlorella vulgaris and the corrosion caused by its biofilm.Experimental results indicated that BAC at a low concentration of 3 mg/L suppressed C.vulgaris growth and achieved 81%corrosion inhibition based on weight loss reduction.The inhibition effects increased when the BAC dosage was increased.At 30 mg/L,the corrosion inhibition increased to 95%.Electrochemical results supported surface pitting analysis,weight loss results data and confirmed the corrosion inhibition.Junlei Wang Tiansui Zhang Xinxin Zhang Muhammed Asif Lipei Jiang Shuang Dong Tingyue Gu Hongfang Liu 2020Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,36,8:4
3Multifunctional HDPE/CNTs/PW composite phase change materials with excellent thermal and electrical conductivities显示文摘The risk of leakage and low thermal conductivity severely hinder the wide application of phase change materials(PCMs).In this work,the high-density polyethylene/carbon nanotubes(HDPE/CNTs)porous scaffolds were successfully fabricated via a sacrificial template method followed by the general melt blending and water solvent etching.Subsequently,a series of paraffin wax HDPE/CNTs/PW composite PCMs were obtained combined with the simple vacuum impregnation method.The obtained HDPE/CNTs porous scaffolds can effectively avoid the leakage of PW,meanwhile,the thermal conductivity and electrical conductivity of HDPE/CNTs/PW-3:7 are increased by 2.94 times and 13 orders of magnitude compared with the HDPE/PW-3:7 respectively,also,it exhibits high phase change enthalpy(153.95 J/g for melting enthalpy and 152.82 J/g for crystallization enthalpy).From the above perspectives,the HDPE/CNTs/PW-3:7 has promising potential value in the application of light-to-thermal conversion,electro-to-thermal conversion and thermal energy storage.Xiaolong Li Xinxin Sheng Yongqiang Guo Xiang Lu Hao Wu Ying Chen Li Zhang Junwei Gu 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,27:4

6Evaluation of the ventilation system in an LNG cargo tank construction platform (CTCP) by the AHP-entropy weight method显示文摘Owing to the vulnerability of Invar to moisture in the membranes of LNG tanker cargo tank construction platforms(CTCPs),an energy-efficient ventilation system is needed to maintain a suitable thermal-moisture environment and a healthy workplace.However,the optimal distribution of supply and return devices that would guarantee worker satisfaction,air quality,and energy efficiency is unclear.Therefore,we conducted numerical simulations to determine the worker satisfaction indices(temperature,relative humidity,and carbon monoxide concentration satisfactions),air quality index(contaminant-removal efficiency),and energy efficiency index(heat-removal efficiency)with supply vane angles ranging from-75°to 0°and two return vent positions(the bottom return vent and the top return vent).The analytic hierarchy process(AHP)entropy weight method was employed to determine the optimal supply vane angle and return vent position for three design targets by considering these indices simultaneously.The results indicated that,with a supply angle of-45°and a bottom return vent,worker satisfaction and air quality were prioritized.Furthermore,a high energy performance of the ventilation system was achieved with a-15°supply angle and a bottom return vent.Moreover,a comprehensive graph of supply vane angles at both return heights,which could provide a reference for optimizing the ventilation system in LNG-CTCPs,is described.Dachuan Shi Yuejiao Guo Xinxin Gu Guozeng Feng Yang Xu Shaozhe Sun 2022Building Simulation2022,15,7:2

8Anchoring Single Nickel Atoms on Carbon-vacant Carbon Nitride Nanosheets for Efficient Photocatalytic Hydrogen Evolution显示文摘Polymeric carbon nitride(PCN)has emerged as a promising candidate for photocatalytic hydrogen evolution,but its dependence on scarce and high-cost noble metal co-catalysts severely limits its extensive application.It will be of great promise to develop non-noble metal single-atom co-catalysts with low-cost and high atom utilization to improve the photocatalytic performance over PCN.Herein,single Ni atoms are successfully anchored onto carbon-vacant PCN nanosheets(CCN-SANi)via a two-step ammonia thermal treatment and photo-deposition process.Theoretical calculations and experimental results demonstrate that the optical absorption property and the charge transfer ability of CCN-SANi have been significantly improved with the introduction of single Ni atoms to form Ni-N3 sites.In comparison to carbon-vacant PCN(CCN)loaded with Ni clusters,the obtained CCN-SANi exhibits 11.4 times increased photocatalytic performance,with the highest hydrogen evolution rate reaching 511μmol/(g·h),which is even 1.7 times higher than that of CCN loaded with Pt clusters.This research proposes an inspiring and reliable strategy to design novel single-atom semiconducting polymers with electronic structures manipulated for efficient photocatalysis.LIN Zhi ZHANG Zhengqi WANG Yiqing PENG Zhiming WANG Xinxin WANG Ruizhe HUANG Yu-Cheng MENG Fanqi LI Mingtao DONG Chung-Li ZHANG Qinghua GU Lin SHEN Shaohua 2022Chemical Research in Chinese Universities2022,38,5:1
9Information metasurfaces and intelligent metasurfaces显示文摘Metamaterials and metasurfaces have inspired worldwide interest in the recent two decades due to their extraordinary performance in controlling material parameters and electromagnetic properties.However,most studies on metamaterials and metasurfaces are focused on manipulations of electromagnetic fields and waves,because of their analog natures.The concepts of digital coding and programmable metasurfaces proposed in 2014 have opened a new perspective to characterize and design metasurfaces in a digital way,and made it possible to control electromagnetic fields/waves and process digital information simultaneously,yielding the birth of a new direction of information metasurfaces.On the other hand,artificial intelligence(AI)has become more important in automatic designs of metasurfaces.In this review paper,we first show the intrinsic natures and advantages of information metasurfaces,including information operations,programmable and real-time control capabilities,and space–time-coding strategies.Then we introduce the recent advances in designing metasurfaces using AI technologies,and particularly discuss the close combinations of information metasurfaces and AI to generate intelligent metasurfaces.We present self-adaptively smart metasurfaces,AI-based intelligent imagers,microwave cameras,and programmable AI machines based on optical neural networks.Finally,we indicate the challenges,applications,and future directions of information and intelligent metasurfaces.Qian Ma Che Liu Qiang Xiao Ze Gu Xinxin Gao Lianlin Li Tie Jun Cui 2022Photonics Insights2022,1,1:1

14Impact of the PV Location in Distribution Networks on Network Power Losses and Voltage Fluctuations with PSO Analysis显示文摘Increased grid integration of photovoltaic(PV)has aggravated the uncertainty of distribution network operations.For a distribution network with PV,the impact of the PV location on the network power losses and voltage fluctuations is investigated with analytical derivations reflected by the line impedance.Optimization approaches of the PV location with consideration of two aspects,i.e.,minimum network power losses and minimum voltage fluctuations,are analyzed.A particle swarm optimization(PSO)algorithm is used to synthesize an optimal compromised solution so as to determine the PV location.A 10 kV distribution network with one PV is established on the time-domain simulation environment PSCAD/EMTDC.The simulation results justify the theoretical analysis and indicate that when the active power of the PV is more/less than twice that of the overall loads/end loads,the network power losses and node voltage fluctuations are both minimum when the PV is integrated into the head/tail end of the network.When the active power of the PV is between the above two conditions,nodes t/f can be identified for the integration of the PV between the head/end nodes of the network to achieve the minimum network power losses/voltage fluctuations,respectively.The effectiveness of the proposed optimization approach is verified and can provide a reference for selecting the PV location in the distribution network.Puyu Wang Fangyu Liang Jinyuan Song Ningqiang Jiang Xiao-Ping Zhang Ling Guo Xinxin Gu 2022CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2022,8,2:1
15Intersected functional zone of transcriptional regulators patterns stemness within stem cell niche of root apical meristem显示文摘Root stem cell niche(SCN)consists of a quiescent center(QC)and surrounding stem cells.Disrupted symplastic communication leads to loss of stemness in the whole SCN.Several SCN regulators were reported to move between cells for SCN main-tenance.However,single mutant of these regulators is insu?cient to abolish QC stemness despite the high differentiation rate in surrounding stem cells.To dis-sect the mechanism behind such distinct stemness in SCN,we combined the mis-expression strategy with pWOX5:icals3m system in which QC is symplastically isolated.We found the starch accumulation in QC could be synergistically repressed by WUSCHEL-RE-LATED HOMEOBOX 5(WOX5),SHORT-ROOT(SHR),SCARCROW(SCR),and PLETHORA(PLT).Like PLTs,other core regulators also exhibited dimorphicfunctions by inhibiting differentiation at a higher dose while promoting cell division at a low protein level.Being located in the center of the intersected ex-pression zones,QC cells receive the highest level of core regulators,forming the most robust stemness within SCN.WUSCHEL-RELATED HOMEOBOX 5 was su?cient to activate PLT1/2 expression,contributing to the QC-enriched PLTs.Our results provide ex-perimental evidence supporting the long-standing hypothesis that the combination of spatial ex-pression,synergistic function and dosage effect of core regulators result in spatially distinct stemness in SCN.Meizhi Xu Xu Gu Nengsong Liang Xinxin Bian Hong Wang Yaxin Qin Limin Pi Shuang Wu 2020Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2020,62,7:1
16Dry-etched ultrahigh-Q silica microdisk resonators on a silicon chip显示文摘We demonstrate the fabrication of ultrahigh quality(Q) factor silica microdisk resonators on a silicon chip by inductively coupled plasma(ICP) etching. We achieve a dry-etched optical microresonator with an intrinsic Q factor as high as 1.94×10^(8) from a 1-mm-diameter silica microdisk with a thickness of 4 μm. 18Cyclic and Linear Thiopeptides from Soil-Derived Streptomyces sp.CPCC 203702 with Antiviral and Antibacterial Activities显示文摘A new cyclic thiopeptide,berninamycin F(3),three new linear thiopeptides,berninamycins G—I(4-6),and two known berninamycin derivatives,berninamycins C and D(1 and 2)were isolated from Streptomyces sp.CPCC 203702.Their structures were elucidated through HRESIMS and one-and two-dimensional NMR data,and the absolute configurations were assigned using Marfey's method.Compounds 4-6 are the first examples of linear berninamycin analogs.Notably,compound 4 is the first example of linear thiopeptide with a 1-(oxazol-2-yl)ethan-1-one group,compound 6 is the first linear thiopeptide derivative with methylated oxoacetate moiety.Compounds 1-6 exhibited excellent anti-Zika virus activities with IC_(50) values in the range of 4.4-10.5μmol/L,which were superior to that of the positive control ribavirin(IC_(50)=49.2μmol/L).Compounds 1 and 3 showed strong anti-influenza A virus activities with the IC_(50) values of 15.6 and 3.2μmol/L,respectively.Compound 1 exhibited good antibacterial activities against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus and vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus spp.pathogens.Dewu Zhang Yujia Wang Xinxin Hu Xiaoyu Wang Linzi Li Guowei Gu Bingyuan Zhang Shan Cen Xuefu You Liyan Yu 2021Chinese Journal of Chemistry2021,39,12:1
19Directly wireless communication of human minds via non-invasive brain-computer-metasurface platform显示文摘Brain-computer interfaces(BCIs),invasive or non-invasive,have projected unparalleled vision and promise for assisting patients in need to better their interaction with the surroundings.Inspired by the BCI-based rehabilitation technologies for nerve-system impairments and amputation,we propose an electromagnetic brain-computer-metasurface(EBCM)paradigm,regulated by human’s cognition by brain signals directly and non-invasively.We experimentally show that our EBCM platform can translate human’s mind from evoked potentials of P300-based electroencephalography to digital coding information in the electromagnetic domain non-invasively,which can be further processed and transported by an information metasurface in automated and wireless fashions.Directly wireless communications of the human minds are performed between two EBCM operators with accurate text transmissions.Moreover,several other proof-of-concept mind-control schemes are presented using the same EBCM platform,exhibiting flexibly-customized capabilities of information processing and synthesis like visual-beam scanning,wave modulations,and pattern encoding.Qian Ma Wei Gao Qiang Xiao Lingsong Ding Tianyi Gao Yajun Zhou Xinxin Gao Tao Yan Che Liu Ze Gu Xianghong Kong Qammer HAbbasi Lianlin Li Cheng‑Wei Qiu Yuanqing Li Tie Jun Cui 2022eLight2022,2,1:1
