1Enhanced anti-sunward flow near local noon during a period of horizontal IMF and high solar wind velocity V_Y显示文摘It is believed that a southward interplanetary magnetic field (IMF) is mainly responsible for the energy input from solar wind into the magnetosphere.This paper presents an unusual case of strong anti-sunward plasma flow (up to 2 km/s) in the polar cap ionosphere and large cross-polar cap potential (CPCP) during a period of horizontal IMF (|BZ| < 2 nT) observed by both ACE (at the L1 point) and Geotail (on the dusk flank of the magnetosheath).The CPCP is even higher than that under preceding BZ ≈-23 nT.Furthermore,GOES8 observed that the magnetosheath field turns northward as the anti-sunward plasma flow and CPCP start to increase,which implies that the magnetosheath field interacting with the Earth's magnetopause has significantly rotated and differs from the IMF observed by ACE and Geotail.In accordance with previous theoretical work,we suggest that the magnetic field line draping produces a southward magnetosheath field and enhances anti-sunward plasma flow and the CPCP.WEI Yong ZONG QiuGang PU ZuYin WAN WeiXing LIU JianJun FU SuiYan SHI QuanQi 2011Chinese Science Bulletin2011,56,11:7
2Stability and bifurcation control of a neuron system under a novel fractional-order PD controller显示文摘In this paper, we address the problem of bifurcation control for a delayed neuron system. By introducing a new fractional-order Proportional-Derivative(PD) feedback controller, this paper aims to control the stability and Hopf bifurcation through adjusting the control gain parameters. The order chosen in PD controller is different with that of the integer-order neuron system. Sufficient conditions for guaranteeing the stability and generating Hopf bifurcation are constructed for the controlled neuron system. 4Experimental study on enhancement of the metastatic potential of portal vein tumor thrombus-originated hepatocellular carcinoma cells using portal vein serum显示文摘Objective: Portal vein metastasis of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) results in a poor prognosis and seriously affects the survival rate of patients. The mechanism underlying the formation of portal vein tumor thrombus(PVTT) is complex and is not yet fully understood. This study was conducted to investigate the impact of portal vein blood on the proliferation, metastasis, invasion and apoptosis of PVTT cells and to explore its possible mechanisms, which was expected to lay a foundation for ascertaining the mechanism underlying the portal vein metastasis of HCC.Methods: Peripheral blood and portal vein blood were collected from patients with HCC, and the sera from these two sources were used to culture the PVTT-originated HCC cell line CSQT-2. The cells were collected after 24 h, and flow cytometry was performed to detect cell proliferation, cell cycle stages and apoptosis. Transwell migration and invasion assays were applied to detect the metastasis and invasion of the cells in each group. The changes in the expression of MMP-2 and MMP-9 in cells were detected via Western blotting. The contents of IL-12, IFN-γ, IL-1β, IL-2 and TNF-α in the two groups of sera were quantified using corresponding kits. Results: Compared with the group of cells cultured with peripheral serum, the cells cultured with portal vein serum showed significantly lower apoptosis(P<0.01), significantly enhanced cell metastasis and invasion(P<0.01), whereas cell proliferation and the stages of the cell cycle did not differ significantly(P>0.05). A significantly increased expression level of MMP-2 has been observed in tumor cells treated portal vein serum. In addition, compared with peripheral serum, the content of IL-12 was significantly decreased in portal vein serum(P<0.05), while the contents of IFN-γ, IL-1β, IL-2, and TNF-α did not differ significantly(P>0.05). Conclusions: Portal vein serum from HCC patients could inhibit the apoptosis of PVTT-originated HCC cells and promote cell metastasis and invasion. 9A heterogeneous double chamber electro-Fenton with high production of H_(2)O_(2) using La–CeO_(2) modified graphite felt as cathode显示文摘Hydrogen peroxide synthesis by electro-reduction of O_(2) to substitute the current anthraquinone process has attracted a great deal of attention. Low oxygen utilization rate and low hydrogen peroxide production remain obstacles to electro-Fenton application. In situ H_(2)O_(2) generated by electrochemical reaction depends on the electrochemical performance of the cathode and the structure of the reactor. Here, novel graphite felt(GF) modified by La-doped CeO_(2)(La-CeO_(2)) was developed as a cathode. A new double chamber electro-Fenton reactor was proposed, where an organic ultrafiltration membrane was used to prevent H_(2)O_(2) from spreading to the anode. The effects of hydrothermal temperature, time and urea concentration on the electrochemical properties of graphite felt were investigated. The accumulated concentration of H_(2)O_(2) on the modified cathode reached 218.4 mg·L^(-1)in 1 h when the optimal conditions of hydrothermal temperature 120 ℃ and urea concentration 0.55%(mass) in 24 h. The degradation rate of methyl orange reached 98.29%. 17A local Martian crustal field model: Targeting the candidate landing site of the 2020 Chinese Mars Rover显示文摘Unlike Earth,Mars lacks a global dipolar magnetic field but is dominated by patches of a remnant crustal magnetic field.In 2021,the Chinese Mars Rover will land on the surface of Mars and measure the surface magnetic field along a moving path within the possible landing region of 20°W-50°W,20°N-30°N.One scientific target of the Rover is to monitor the variation in surface remnant magnetic fields and reveal the source of the ionospheric current.An accurate local crustal field model is thus considered necessary as a field reference.Here we establish a local crust field model for the candidate landing site based on the joint magnetic field data set from Mars Global Explorer(MGS)and Mars Atmosphere and Volatile Evolution(MAVEN)data combined.The model is composed of 1,296 dipoles,which are set on three layers but at different buried depths.The application of the dipole model to the joint data set allowed us to calculate the optimal parameters of their dipoles.The calculated results demonstrate that our model has less fitting error than two other state-of-the art global crustal field models,which would indicate a more reasonable assessment of the surface crustal field from our model.XinZhou Li ZhaoJin Rong JiaWei Gao Yong Wei Zhen Shi Tao Yu WeiXing Wan 2020Earth and Planetary Physics2020,4,4:1
