1Prognostic factors of refractory NSCLC patients receiving anlotinib hydrochloride as the third-or further-line treatment显示文摘Objective:Anlotinib hydrochloride is a multitarget tyrosine kinase inhibitor that targets vascular endothelial growth factor receptor,fibroblast growth factor receptor,platelet-derived growth factor receptor,c-Kit,and c-MET;therefore,it exhibits both antitumor and anti-angiogenetic activities.A phase III trial has shown that anlotinib improved progression-free survival(PFS)and overall survival(OS)in patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC),who presented with progressive disease or intolerance after standard chemotherapy.This study aimed to analyze the characteristics of patients receiving anlotinib treatment to determine the dominant populations who are fit for the treatment.Methods:Data were collected from March 2015 to January 2017 from a randomized,double-blind,placebo-controlled,multicenter,phase III trial of anlotinib(ALTER0303).A total of 437 patients were enrolled and randomly allocated(2:1)to the anlotinib and placebo groups.Kaplan–Meier analysis and log-rank test were performed to compare PFS and OS.Cox proportional hazards model was adopted for multivariate prognostic analysis.Results:Multivariate analysis indicated that high post-therapeutic peripheral blood granulocyte/lymphocyte ratio and elevated alkaline phosphatase levels were independent risk factors for PFS.Meanwhile,elevated thyroid-stimulating hormone,blood glucose,and triglyceride levels;hypertension;and hand–foot syndrome were independent protective factors of PFS.High posttherapeutic peripheral blood granulocyte/lymphocyte ratio,an Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group(ECOG)score≥2,and the sum of the maximal target lesion length at baseline were independent risk factors of OS,and hypertriglyceridemia was an independent protective factor of OS.Conclusions:This study preliminarily explored the possible factors that affected PFS and OS after anlotinib treatment in patients with advanced refractory NSCLC,and the baseline characteristics of the therapeutically dominant populations were then identified.Jing Wang Yizhuo Zhao Qiming Wang Li Zhang Jianhua Shi Zhehai Wang Ying Cheng Jianxing He Yuankai Shi Hao Yu Yang Zhao Weiqiang Chen Yi Luo Xiuwen Wang Kejun Nan Faguang Jin Jian Dong Baolan Li Zhujun Liu Baohui Han Kai Li 2018Cancer Biology & Medicine2018,15,4:46
2Spectral Efficiency and Power Allocation for Mixed-ADC Massive MIMO System显示文摘This paper investigates the achievable uplink spectral efficiency(SE) of a massive multi-input multi-output(MIMO) system with a mixed analog-to-digital converter(ADC) receiver architecture, in which some antennas are equipped with full-resolution ADCs while others are deployed with low-resolution ADCs. We derive the theoretical results and corresponding approximate expressions of the achievable SE in multi-cell systems with maximum ratio combining(MRC) detector and in single-cell systems with zero-forcing(ZF) detector. Based on approximated results, the effects of physical parameters, including the transmit power, the number of antennas, the proportion of full-resolution ADCs and the quantization precision of the low-resolution ADCs on the achievable SE are revealed. Furthermore, we propose the power allocation algorithms based on the lower bound and upper bound of approximate achievable SE. Our results show that the total achievable SE improves by increasing the number of BS antennas, the signal-to-noise ratio(SNR), and the quantization precision. 3Spectral and Energy Efficiency of Downlink MU-MIMO Systems with MRT显示文摘This paper studies the achievable spectral efficiency(SE)of downlink multiuser multiple-input-multiple-output(MIMO)system,where the base station(BS)is deployed an arbitrary finite antenna number and communicates simultaneously with many users. We assume that the BS has accurate channel state information(CSI)and adopt maximum ratio transmission(MRT)precoding. An accurate analytical result for the achievable SE is obtained. Based on the analytical result on the achievable SE,we further study the achievable energy efficiency(EE)of multiuser MIMO system by considering an energy consumption model. Results indicate that the increasing number of BS antennas can boost the achievable SE of system,whilst the achievable SE tends to a saturated rate in the high signal-tonoise ratios(SNR)regime. 4Dynamic analysis of heat extraction rate by supercritical carbon dioxide in fractured rock mass based on a thermal-hydraulic-mechanics coupled model显示文摘Heat production from geothermal reservoirs is a typical heat transfer process involving a cold working fluid contacting a hot rock formation.Compared to the thermal-physical characteristics of water,supercritical CO_(2)(scCO_(2))has a higher heat storage capacity over a wide temperature-pressure range and may be favored as a heat transfer fluid.Singularly characteristic of scCO_(2)-based heat extraction is that the hydraulic-thermal properties of the scCO_(2) vary dramatically and dynamically with the spatial pressure gradient during unsteady-state flow along fracture.This highly nonlinear behavior presents a challenge in the accurate estimation of heat extraction efficiency in scCO_(2)-based EGS.In this paper,a thermal-h ydraulic-mechanical(THM)coupled model is developed by considering deformation of the fractured reservoir,non-Darcy flow and the varying thermal-physical properties of scCO_(2).The proposed model is validated by matching the modeling temperature distribution with published data.The results show that during continuous injection of scCO_(2),the fracture first widens and then narrows,ultimately reopening over the long term.The sequential fracture deformation behaviors are in response to the combined impacts of mechanical compression and thermally-induced deformation.By controlling the injection parameters of the scCO_(2),it is found that the heat extraction rate is positively correlated to its pore pressure or mass flow rate.The heat extraction rate can be significantly enhanced,when the inlet temperature of scCO_(2) is below its critical temperature.As a result,the heat increment recovered per unit mass of scCO_(2) decreases as the hot rock is gradually cooled.Meanwhile,the heat increment recovered per unit mass of scCO_(2) decreases by increasing the inlet temperature of scCO_(2) or its mass flow rate,but increases as the outlet pressure rises.Furthermore,multi-linear regression indicates that controlling the inlet temperature of the scCO_(2) can significantly improve the thermodynamic efficiency of heat extraction.Chunguang Wang Xingkai Shi Wei Zhang Derek Elsworth Guanglei Cui Shuqing Liu Hongxu Wang Weiqiang Song Songtao Hu Peng Zheng 2022International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2022,32,2:3
5Chirality-assisted lateral momentum transfer for bidirectional enantioselective separation显示文摘Lateral optical forces induced by linearly polarized laser beams have been predicted to deflect dipolar particles with opposite chiralities toward opposite transversal directions.These“chirality-dependent”forces can offer new possibilities for passive all-optical enantioselective sorting of chiral particles,which is essential to the nanoscience and drug industries.However,previous chiral sorting experiments focused on large particles with diameters in the geometrical-optics regime.Here,we demonstrate,for the first time,the robust sorting of Mie(size~wavelength)chiral particles with different handedness at an air–water interface using optical lateral forces induced by a single linearly polarized laser beam.The nontrivial physical interactions underlying these chirality-dependent forces distinctly differ from those predicted for dipolar or geometrical-optics particles.The lateral forces emerge from a complex interplay between the light polarization,lateral momentum enhancement,and out-of-plane light refraction at the particle-water interface.The sign of the lateral force could be reversed by changing the particle size,incident angle,and polarization of the obliquely incident light.Yuzhi Shi Tongtong Zhu Tianhang Zhang Alfredo Mazzulla Din Ping Tsai Weiqiang Ding Ai Qun Liu Gabriella Cipparrone Juan Jose Saenz Cheng-Wei Qiu 2020Light(Science & Applications)2020,9,1:3

10Preparation of WO3 thin films by dip film-drawing for photoelectrochemical performance显示文摘Here we report the WO3 thin films on F-doped SnO2 conducting glass (FTO) substrates which were prepared by using dip film-drawing method. Dip film-drawing was a simple, convenient, economical method and in largescale to prepare photoanodes for future applications. The FTO substrates were dipped in tungstic acid solution then film-drawn included 3, 6, 9, 12 and 15 times for prepared different thicknesses of WO3 thin film photoanodes. 12Mesenchymal stromal cells alleviate acute respiratory distress syndrome through the cholinergic anti-inflammatory pathway显示文摘Mesenchymal stromal cells(MSCs)have been considered a promising alternative for treatment of acute respiratory distress syndrome(ARDS).However,there is significant heterogeneity in their therapeutic efficacy,largely owing to the incomplete understanding of the mechanisms underlying the therapeutic activities of MSCs.Here,we hypothesize that the cholinergic antiinflammatory pathway(CAP),which is recognized as a neuroimmunological pathway,may be involved in the therapeutic mechanisms by which MSCs mitigate ARDS.Using lipopolysaccharide(LPS)and bacterial lung inflammation models,we found that inflammatory cell infiltration and Evans blue leakage were reduced and that the expression levels of choline acetyltransferase(ChAT)and vesicular acetylcholine transporter(VAChT)in lung tissue were significantly increased 6 hours after MSC infusion.When the vagus nerve was blocked orα7 nicotinic acetylcholine(ACh)receptor(α7nAChR)-knockout mice were used,the therapeutic effects of MSCs were significantly reduced,suggesting that the CAP may play an important role in the effects of MSCs in ARDS treatment.Our results further showed that MSC-derived prostaglandin E2(PGE2)likely promoted ACh synthesis and release.Additionally,based on the efficacy of nAChR andα7nAChR agonists,we found that lobeline,the nicotinic cholinergic receptor excitation stimulant,may attenuate pulmonary inflammation and alleviate respiratory symptoms of ARDS patients in a clinical study(ChiCTR2100047403).In summary,we reveal a previously unrecognized MSC-mediated mechanism of CAP activation as the means by which MSCs alleviate ARDS-like syndrome,providing insight into the clinical translation of MSCs or CAP-related strategies for the treatment of patients with ARDS.Xiaoran Zhang Xuxia Wei Yiwen Deng Xiaofeng Yuan Jiahao Shi Weijun Huang Jing Huang Xiaoyong Chen Shuwei Zheng Jieying Chen Keyu Chen Ruiming Xu Hongmiao Wang Weiqiang Li Shiyue Li Huimin Yi Andy Peng Xiang 2022Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2022,7,10:1

16Multiparticle resonant optical sorting using a topological photonic structure显示文摘Resonance between light and object is highly desired in optical manipulation because the optical forces reach maximum values in this case. However, in traditional waveguide structures, the resonant interaction also greatly perturbs the incident field and weakens or completely destroys the manipulation on the subsequent particles. In order to avoid this dilemma, we propose to perform optical manipulation in a topological photonic structure.Owing to the topological protection, the light mode can almost keep its original form when an object is being manipulated. Therefore, resonant optical sorting can be achieved in a multiple and high throughput manner. 18Potassium isotopic signatures of modern offshore detrital sediments from different climatic regimes and the implications显示文摘Potassium isotopes are a novel tracer for continental weathering.Previous K isotope studies on chemical weathering generally targeted weathering profiles under a particular climate region,yet the effects of chemical weathering on K isotopes under different climatic backgrounds remain unclear.Moreover,little is known about the K isotope signatures of modern unconsolidated detrital sediments.Here,we report K isotopic data of surficial seafloor sediments from continental shelves along the east coast of China(ECC),as well as those around the tropical Hainan island in the northern South China Sea.The ECC sediments have a relatively narrow distribution ofδ^(41)K(with reference to NIST3141a)values,which range from(-0.40±0.01)‰to(-0.57±0.04)‰,with an average of(-0.51±0.09)‰.By contrast,δ^(41)K values of Hainan offshore sediments display a larger variation,ranging from(-0.28±0.07)‰to(-0.67±0.02)‰.Theδ^(41)K values of Hainan offshore sediments exhibit negative correlations with the chemical index of alteration(CIA),Al/K,Ti/K,and total iron(FeT),which underlines the control of chemical weathering on K isotopic signatures of detritus inputs into oceans.We also measured Mg isotope compositions for the same samples;interestingly,the variability inδ^(26)Mg of the samples is small(~0.24‰)for all ECC and Hainan offshore sediments,andδ^(26)Mg values do not show clear correlations with indexes of chemical weathering.Our study demonstrates the link between K isotopic variability of detrital sediments and climatic conditions including rainfall intensity,which indicates that K isotopes of the detrital component of marine sediments could be applied to study Earth’s climate in deep time.Theδ^(41)K values of the offshore detrital sediments are significantly less variable than those of pelagic marine sediments,highlighting the importance of distinguishing the effects of diagenesis and neoformation of clay minerals from continental weathering in attempts to study deep-time climate-weathering link by K isotopes in detrital sedimentary records.Jun MU Tianyu CHEN Qian YU Shichao AN Jianfang CHEN Xuefa SHI Weiqiang LI 2024Science China Earth Sciences2024,67,2:0

20Low-Cost Massive MIMO:Pilot Length and ADC Resolution显示文摘When designing an energy efficient massive multiple-input multiple-output(MIMO)system where each receiver antenna is equipped with a low-resolution analog-to-digital converter(ADC),the number of base station(BS)antennas and quantization bits are generally two mutually conflicting system parameters.In this paper,we investigate the joint optimization of the number of BS antennas and ADC resolution in quantized massive MIMO systems,assuming imperfect channel state infor-mation(CSI).A tractable approximate expression for the uplink sum spectral efficiency(SE)using maximal ratio combining(MRC)receivers is derived,based on which the pilot length which maximizes the sum SE is put forward.Considering the effect of ADCs,a realistic model of total power consumption is given subsequently.Capitalizing on it,we formulate the optimization problem of selecting the number of BS antennas and ADC resolution to maximize the sum SE under a total power consumption constraint.Our results show that more pilot symbols should be assigned for massive MIMO systems with low-resolution ADCs,especially for the receivers with one-bit quantizers.Moreover,the results show the trade-off between the number of BS antennas and quantization bits.Numer-ical results suggest that there exists an optimal ADC resolution in massive MIMO systems,while lower quan-tization bits may cause a substantial degradation of the SE performance and higher one will consume more power.Dan Qiao Xi Yang Weiqiang Tan Chaokai Wen Shi Jin 2018Journal of Communications and Information Networks2018,3,2:0
