| 1 | Mullite Oxidation Resistant Coating for SiC-coated Carbon/Carbon Composites by Supersonic Plasma Spraying显示文摘To improve the oxidation resistance of carbon/carbon (C/C) composites, mullite coating was prepared on the surface of SiC-coated C/C composites by supersonic plasma spraying. Phases and microstructures of mullite coating were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The coating primarily consists of a single phase of mullite (3Al2O3-2SiO2). The SEM results show that mullite coating was continuous and well bonded with the SiC inner layer without penetrating crack. Mullite coating exhibited good oxidation resistance. | 2 | Hierarchical,seamless,edge-rich nanocarbon hybrid foams for highly efficient electromagnetic-interference shielding显示文摘Lightweight,flexible,ultrahigh-performance electromagnetic-interfe rence(EMI)shielding materials are urgently required in the areas of aircraft/aerospace,portable and wearable electronics.Herein,1 D carbon nanotubes(CNT)and carbon nanofibers(CNF)with 2 D edge-rich graphene(ERG)are used to form a lightweight,flexible CNT-ERG-CNF hybrid foam.This foam was fabricated through a self-sacrificial templating chemical vapor deposition process,where nanocarbons bond through covalent bonding,forming a hierarchical 3 D hybridized carbon nanostructure.Multistage conductive networks and heterogeneous interfaces were constructed using edge-rich nanocarbons to increase the induced currents and interfacial polarization which makes great contributions to achieve high absorption electromagnetic shielding effectiveness(SEA).The CNT-ERG-CNF hybrid foam exhibits EMI shielding effectiveness(SE)exceeding55.4 dB in the X-band while the specific SE(SSE,SE divided by mass density)achieves 9200 dB cm^(3)g^(-1),which surpasses that of nearly all other carbon-based composite materials.Furthermore,the structural stability and durability of the flexible CNT-ERG-CNF hybrid foams is examined by measuring EMI SE after 10000 times cyclic bending.Remarkably,this work not only provides a new idea for preparing hierarchical carbon materials for a wide range of applications,but presents some fundamental insights for achieving higher absorption losses in EMI shielding materials. | Liyuan Han Qiang Song Kezhi Li Xuemin Yin Jiajia Sun Hejun Li Fengpei Zhang Xinran Ren Xi Wang | 2021 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,13: | 2 |
| 3 | Enhancing both strength and toughness of carbon/carbon composites by heat-treated interface modification显示文摘A simple method to increase both strength and toughness of carbon/carbon(C/C) composites is presented.This method is based on the heat treatment of the pre-deposited thin carbon coating, leading to the formation of more orderly pyrolytic carbon(PyC) as a functional interlayer between fiber and matrix that could optimize the interfacial sliding strength in C/C composites. Effects of such a heat-treated PyC layers on the microstructure, tensile strength and fracture behavior of unidirectional C/C composites were investigated. Results showed that although the in-situ fiber strength was deteriorated after the introduction of interfacial layer, tensile strength of the specimen was greatly improved by 38.5% compared with pure C/C composites without any treatment. The interfacial sliding stress sharply decreased, which was interpreted from finite element analysis and verified by Raman spectra. Therefore, the fracture behavior was changed from brittle fracture to multiple-matrix cracking induced non-linear mechanical behavior.Finally, the ultimate strength can be predicted by different models according to the interfacial sliding stress. | 12 | QTL Detection for Albinism-Related Loci in Chinese Tongue Sole(Cynoglossus semilaevis)显示文摘The Chinese tongue sole(Cynoglossus semilaevis) is widely cultured in the coastal region of East Asia and has excellent economic value. However, the high albino rate of the breeding population has caused a significant loss to the aquaculture industry. To study the molecular mechanism of albinism, the present study used an albino Chinese tongue sole family to construct three simple sequence repeat(SSR) linkage groups, and draft a preliminary linkage map related to albinism. After albinism-related loci mapping, 18 albinism-related loci were detected under two models(containing 2407 genes) compared to the Chinese tongue sole genome. One of these loci, the tyrosinase related protein(tyrp2), which has been reported previously as an important gene regulating both eumelanin and phaeomelanin levels, was indicated to be the possible cause of albinism. Thirty-five Gene Ontology(GO) terms and 14 Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genome pathways were annotated via bioinformatic analyses. One GO term with protein tyrosine kinase activity, which contained 10 genes, was previously suggested to affect fish albinism. | 19 | Molecular Dynamics and Preparation of HO-PAMAM-2.5G Protected Lanthanum Cluster显示文摘HO-PAMAM-2.5 G-protected lanthanum cluster was studied by Virtual Molecule(VM) software. Molecular dynamics (MD) simulation of the nanocomposite system was performed from the view-points of molecular structure and energy′s fluctuation in NVT system. The motivation of this work was to understand the stability and mechanism of the nanocomposite in different proportion. The molecular dynamics simulation results reveal that when the quantity of La in per HO-PAMAM-2.5G amounted to 0~60, the radius of gyration of HO-PAMAM-2.5/La nanocomposite is obviously decreased. The potential energy (PE) that determines the stability of nanocomposite is different according to the quantity of La. The energy of the nanocomposite fluctuated clearly within the range of 0~50 La atoms and this fluctuation gradually tends to flatness in 50~80. While the quantity of La reaches 60, the energy of the nanocomposite drops to the lowest point, the system is steady relatively. Whereafter, according to the simulation results, HO-PAMAM-2.5 G-protected lanthanum clusters were prepared and characterized by transmission electron microscopy (TEM).
