1Clinical risk score for invasive fungal diseases in patients with hematological malignancies undergoing chemotherapy:China Assessment of Antifungal Therapy in Hematological Diseases (CAESAR) study显示文摘Invasive fungal disease (IFD) is a major infectious complication in patients with hematological malignancies.In this study,we examined 4889 courses of chemotherapy in patients with hematological diseases to establish a training dataset (n=3500) by simple random sampling to develop a weighted risk score for proven or probable IFD through multivariate regression,which included the following variables: male patients,induction chemotherapy for newly diagnosed or relapsed disease,neutropenia,neutropenia longer than 10 days,hypoalbuminemia,central-venous catheter,and history of IFD.The patients were classified into three groups,which had low (0-10,~1.2%),intermediate (11-15,6.4%),and high risk (> 15,17.5%) of IFD.In the validation set (n=1389),the IFD incidences of the groups were ~1.4%,5.0%,and 21.4%.In addition,we demonstrated that antifungal prophylaxis offered no benefits in low-risk patients,whereas benefits were documented in intermediate (2.1% vs.6.6%,P=0.007) and high-risk patients (8.4% vs.23.3%,P=0.007).To make the risk score applicable for clinical settings,a pre-chemo risk score that deleted all unpredictable factors before chemotherapy was established,and it confirmed that anti-fungal prophylaxis was beneficial in patients with intermediate and high risk of IFD.In conclusion,an objective,weighted risk score for IFD was developed,and it may be useful in guiding antifungal prophylaxis.Ling Wang Ying Wang Jiong Hu Yuqian Sun He Huang Jing Chen Jianyong Li Jun Ma Juan Li Yingmin Liang Jianmin Wang Yan Li Kang Yu Jianda Hu Jie Jin Chun Wang Depei Wu Yang Xiao Xiaojun Huang 2019Frontiers of Medicine2019,13,3:10

3Preparation and evaluation of sustained-release diltiazem hydrochloride pellets显示文摘In this study,diltiazem hydrochloride(DTZ)pellets were prepared successfully by extrusionespheronization method.Then methacrylic acid and ethylcellulose coating formulations were employed to make the DTZ pellets sustained release.The pellets with different coatings were investigated by in vitro dissolution tests.At last,the pellets with the best coating copolymer were subjected to pharmacokinetic studies in beagle dogs.The dissolution profiles of pellets coated with EudragitNE30D were similar to Herbesser,one of the marketed sustained release capsules.In the bioavailability study,the principal pharmacokinetic parameters of self-made pellets and the marketed ones were comparable;the relative bioavailability of DTZ sustained release capsules compared with Herbesserwas 98.536.4%.All the data indicated self-made sustained pellets could prolong the release of DTZ,decrease the fluctuation of drug level in vivo,and increase the compliance of patients.Xiaopeng Han Linan Wang Yinghua Sun Xiaohong Liu Wanjun Liu Yuqian Du Lin Li Jin Sun 2013Asian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences2013,8,4:3
4Downregulation of MEIS1 mediated by ELFN1-AS1/EZH2/DNMT3a axis promotes tumorigenesis and oxaliplatin resistance in colorectal cancer显示文摘Oxaliplatin is widely used in the frontline treatment of colorectal cancer(CRC),but an estimated 50%of patients will eventually stop responding to treatment due to acquired resistance.This study revealed that diminished MEIS1 expression was detected in CRC and harmed the survival of CRC patients.MEIS1 impaired CRC cell viabilities and tumor growth in mice and enhanced CRC cell sensitivity to oxaliplatin by preventing DNA damage repair.Mechanistically,oxaliplatin resistance following MEIS1 suppression was critically dependent on enhanced FEN1 expression.Subsequently,we confirmed that EZH2-DNMT3a was assisted by lncRNA ELFN1-AS1 in locating the promoter of MEIS1 to suppress MEIS1 transcription epigenetically.Based on the above,therapeutics targeting the role of MEIS1 in oxaliplatin resistance were developed and our results suggested that the combination of oxaliplatin with either ELFN1-AS1 ASO or EZH2 inhibitor GSK126 could largely suppress tumor growth and reverse oxaliplatin resistance.This study highlights the potential of therapeutics targeting ELFN1-AS1 and EZH2 in cell survival and oxaliplatin resistance,based on their controlling of MEIS1 expression,which deserve further verification as a prospective therapeutic strategy.Yimin Li Yaqi Gan Jiaxin Liu Juanni Li Zhengwei Zhou Ruotong Tian Ruizheng Sun Jiaqi Liu Qing Xiao Yuanyuan Li Pengyan Lu Yulong Peng Yuqian Peng Guang Shu Gang Yin 2022Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2022,7,4:2

6Development and evaluation of taste-masked dry suspension of cefuroxime axetil for enhancement of oral bioavailability显示文摘Cefuroxime axetil(CA)is an ester prodrug of cefuroxime with an unpleasant taste when administrated orally.This work was to mask the bitter taste of CA and enhance its oral bioavailability.Dry suspensions were prepared by means of wet granulation method and solid dispersion method.Binders,suspending agents and other compositions involved in the formulation were optimized.The differential scanning calorimetry(DSC)analysis indicated that CA was amorphous in the solid dispersion with stearic acid as the carrier,which contributed to an improvement of the dissolution rate.Taste evaluation was performed by three volunteers and taste masking was successfully achieved by the methods mentioned above.A pH 7.0 phosphate buffer was adopted to study the in vitro dissolution performance of the three formulations,i.e.,two self-made dry suspensions and the commercial one.With a better release characteristic and a satisfying taste masking ability,the solid dispersion suspension was selected as the optimal formulation for the further pharmacokinetic study in beagle dogs.The values of Cmax and AUC0e12 for the solid dispersion suspension were about 1.78-fold and 2.17-fold higher than these of reference suspension,respectively.The obtained results demonstrated that the solid dispersion can efficiently mask the bitter taste of CA and significantly enhance its oral bioavailability.Yuqian Du Yinglei Zhai Juhong Zhang Chunnuan Wu Cong Luo Jin Sun Zhonggui He 2013Asian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences2013,8,5:1
7A Simulation Research Towards Better Leverage of Sales Ranking显示文摘As a kind of the most significantly popular information in markets,the sales ranking has great impacts on consumer choice.However,there are few discussions on how sales ranking should be provided to consumers in the literature.This paper aims to answer the following two questions:1)To what extent does the sales ranking influence consumer choices;2)When the sales ranking should be provided to consumers.To do so,this paper first constructs a sales ranking model and then provides detailed simulation experiments to demonstrate the model.The experimental results show that for markets where consumer preferences are dramatically different,such as music and movie markets,sales rankings do not have significant influences on consumer choices and should not be provided to consumers until a large number of early independent consumer choices have been accumulated.But for markets in which consumer preferences are similar,such as markets for official supplies,sales rankings have more influences on consumer choices and should be provided to consumers earlier.Furthermore,an evolution strategy is proposed to ascertain the most suitable sales rankings(characterised by suitable influence strength and suitable release time)for some specified online markets.The comparison results show that the optimized sales rankings not only can help consumers discover higher-quality products but also can improve overall sales.Lin Tang Leilei Sun Chonghui Guo Yuqian Zuo Zhen Zhang 2021Journal of Systems Science and Systems Engineering2021,30,1:1

9Second unmanipulated allogeneic transplantation could be used as a salvage option for patients with relapsed acute leukemia post-chemotherapy plus modified donor lymphocyte infusion显示文摘Relapse is the main problem after allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation(allo-HSCT).The outcome of a second allo-HSCT(HSCT2)for relapse post-HSCT has shown promising results in some previous studies.However,little is known about the efficacy of HSCT2 in patients with relapsed/refractory acute leukemia(AL)post-chemotherapy plus modified donor lymphocyte infusion(post-Chemo+m-DLI)after the first allo-HSCT(HSCT1).Therefore,we retrospectively analyzed the efficacy of HSCT2 in 28 patients with relapsed/refractory AL post-Chemo+m-DLI in our center.With a median follow-up of 918(457–1732)days,26 patients(92.9%)achieved complete remission,and 2 patients exhibited persistent disease.The probabilities of overall survival(OS)and disease-free survival(DFS)1 year after HSCT2 were 25.0%and 21.4%,respectively.The cumulative incidences of nonrelapse mortality on day 100 and at 1 year post-HSCT2 were 7.1%±4.9%and 25.0%±8.4%.The cumulative incidences of relapse were 50.0%±9.8%and 53.5%±9.9%at 1 and 2 years post-HSCT2,respectively.Risk stratification prior to HSCT1 and percentage of blasts before HSCT2 were independent risk factors for OS post-HSCT2,and relapse within 6 months post-HSCT1 was an independent risk factor for DFS and relapse post-HSCT2.Our findings suggest that HSCT2 could be a salvage option for patients with relapsed AL post-Chemo+m-DLI.Tingting Han Yuqian Sun Yang Liu Chenhua Yan Yu Wang Lanping Xu Kaiyan Liu Xiaojun Huang Xiaohui Zhang 2021Frontiers of Medicine2021,15,5:1

11Chromium trioxide modified spiro-OMeTAD for highly efficient and stable planar perovskite solar cells显示文摘Hole transporting materials(HTMs)play an unparalleled role in heightening the stability and photovoltaic performance of perovskite solar cells(PSCs).The organic small molecule spiro-OMeTAD is frequently utilized for HTM in PSCs.However,the raw spiro-OMeTAD without dopant would be harmful to the development of highly efficient PSCs,due to its unsatisfied hole mobility and conductivity.Therefore,we introduce an inorganic dopant(chromium trioxide,CrO_(3))into the lithium-salt doped spiro-OMeTAD.Because of the exclamatory oxidizability of CrO_(3),it can accelerate the oxidation of spiro-OMeTAD and thereby enhancing the hole mobility of HTM.The introduction of CrO_(3) not only substantially decreases the density of defects,but also adjusts spiro-OMeTAD energy band,and thus effectively suppresses the hysteresis and improving stability of PSCs.In the end,we obtained a power conversion efficiency(PCE)as high as 22.6%after doping CrO_(3) in spiro-OMeTAD.The facile,low cost and outstanding photovoltaic performance render CrO_(3) an excellent dopant for HTMs in PSCs.Xiaobing Wang Jihuai Wu Yuqian Yang Guodong Li Zeyu Song Xuping Liu Weihai Sun Zhang Lan Peng Gao 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,10:1

14Influence of the degree of donor bone marrow hyperplasia on patient clinical outcomes after allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation显示文摘This study evaluated the influence of the degree of donor bone marrow(BM)hyperplasia on patient clinical outcomes after allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation(allo-HSCT).Twelve patients received allo-HSCT from hypoplastic BM donors between January 2010 and December 2017.Forty-eight patients whose donors demonstrated BM hyperplasia were selected using a propensity score matching method(1:4).Primary graft failure including poor graft function and graft rejection did not occur in two groups.In BM hypoplasia and hyperplasia groups,the cumulative incidence(CI)of neutrophil engraftment at day 28(91.7%vs.93.8%,P=0.75),platelet engraftment at day 150(83.3%vs.93.8%,P=0.48),the median time to myeloid engraftment(14 days vs.14 days,P=0.85)and platelet engraftment(14 days vs.14 days,P=0.85)were comparable.The 3-year progression-free survival,overall survival,CI of non-relapse mortality and relapse were 67.8%vs.71.7%(P=0.98),69.8%vs.77.8%(P=0.69),18.5%vs.13.6%(P=0.66),and 10.2%vs.10.4%(P=0.82),respectively.In multivariate analysis,donor BM hypoplasia did not affect patient clinical outcomes after allo-HSCT.If patients have no other suitable donor,a donor with BM hypoplasia can be used for patients receiving allo-HSCT if the donor Complete Blood Count and other examinations are normal.Feifei Tang Xiaodong Mo Xiaohui Zhang Yu Wang Chenhua Yan Yuhong Chen Huan Chen Wei Han Yao Chen Fengrong Wang Jingzhi Wang Yuqian Sun Yuanyuan Zhang Kaiyan Liu Xiaojun Huang Lanping Xu 2020Science China(Life Sciences)2020,63,1:0

16Response of nitrogen fractions in the rhizosphere and bulk soil to organic mulching in an urban forest plantation显示文摘Nitrogen is an essential component in forest ecosystem nutrient cycling.Nitrogen fractions,such as dissolved nitrogen,ammonium,nitrate,and microbial biomass nitrogen,are sensitive indicators of soil nitrogen pools which affect soil fertility and nutrient cycling.However,the responses of nitrogen fractions in forest soils to organic mulching are less well understood.The rhizosphere is an important micro-region that must be considered to better understand element cycling between plants and the soil.A field investigation was carried out on the effect of mulching soil in a 15-year-old Ligustrum lucidum urban plantation.Changes in total nitrogen and nitrogen fractions in rhizosphere and bulk soil in the topsoil(upper 20 cm)and in the subsoil(20-40 cm)were evaluated following different levels of mulching,in addition to nitrogen contents in fine roots,leaves,and organic mulch.The relationships between nitrogen fractions and other measured variables were analysed.Organic mulching had no significant effect on most nitrogen fractions except for the rhizosphere microbial biomass nitrogen(MBN),and the thinnest(5 cm)mulching layer showed greater effects than other treatments.Rhizosphere MBN was more sensitive to mulching compared to bulk soil,and was more affected by soil environmental changes.Season and soil depth had more pronounced effects on nitrogen fractions than mulching.Total nitrogen and dissolved nitrogen were correlated to soil phosphorus,whereas other nitrogen fractions were strongly affected by soil physical properties(temperature,water content,bulk density).Mulching also decreased leaf nitrogen content,which was more related to soil nitrogen fractions(except for MBN)than nitrogen contents in either fine roots or organic mulch.Frequent applications of small quantities of organic mulch contribute to nitrogen transformation and utilization in urban forests.Xiaodan Sun Gang Wang Yuqian Ye Qingxu Ma Qingwei Guan Davey L.Jones 2021Journal of Forestry Research2021,32,6:0
17Single-cell profiling reveals Müller glia coordinate retinal intercellular communication during light/dark adaptation via thyroid hormone signaling显示文摘Light adaptation enables the vertebrate visual system to operate over a wide range of ambient illumination.Regulation of phototransduction in photoreceptors is considered a major mechanism underlying light adaptation.However,various types of neurons and glial cells exist in the retina,and whether and how all retinal cells interact to adapt to light/dark conditions at the cellular and molecular levels requires systematic investigation.Therefore,we utilized single-cell RNA sequencing to dissect retinal cell-type-specific transcriptomes during light/dark adaptation in mice.The results demonstrated that,in addition to photoreceptors,other retinal cell types also showed dynamic molecular changes and specifically enriched signaling pathways under light/dark adaptation.Importantly,Müller glial cells(MGs)were identified as hub cells for intercellular interactions,displaying complex cell‒cell communication with other retinal cells.Furthermore,light increased the transcription of the deiodinase Dio2 in MGs,which converted thyroxine(T4)to active triiodothyronine(T3).Subsequently,light increased T3 levels and regulated mitochondrial respiration in retinal cells in response to light conditions.As cones specifically express the thyroid hormone receptor Thrb,they responded to the increase in T3 by adjusting light responsiveness.Loss of the expression of Dio2 specifically in MGs decreased the light responsive ability of cones.These results suggest that retinal cells display global transcriptional changes under light/dark adaptation and that MGs coordinate intercellular communication during light/dark adaptation via thyroid hormone signaling.Min Wei Yanping Sun Shouzhen Li Yunuo Chen Longfei Li Minghao Fang Ronghua Shi Dali Tong Jutao Chen Yuqian Ma Kun Qu Mei Zhang Tian Xue 2023Protein & Cell2023,14,8:0

19In situ synthesis of FeS/Carbon fibers for the effective removal of Cr(Ⅵ)in aqueous solution显示文摘Iron sulfide(FeS)nanoparticles(termed FSNs)have attracted much attention for the removal of pollutants due to their high efficiency and low cost,and because they are environmentally friendly.However,issues of agglomeration,transformation,and the loss of active components limit their application.Therefore,this study investigates in situ synthesized FeS/carbon fibers with an Fecarrageenan biomass as a precursor and nontoxic sulfur source to ascertain the removal efficiency of the fibers.The enrichment of sulfate groups as well as the double-helix structure in i-carrageenan-Fe could effectively avoid the aggregation and loss of FSNs in practical applications.The obtained FeS/carbon fibers were used to control a Cr(Ⅵ)polluted solution,and exhibited a relatively high removal capacity(81.62 mg/g).T he main mechanisms included the reduction of FeS,electrostatic adsorption of carbon fibers,and Cr(Ⅲ)-Fe(Ⅲ)complexation reaction.The pseudo-second-order kinetic model and Langmuir adsorption model both provided a good fit of the reaction process;hence,the removal process was mainly controlled by chemical adsorption,specifically monolayer adsorption on a uniform surface.Furthermore,co-existing anions,column,and regeneration experiments indicated that the FeS/carbon fibers are a promising remediation material for practical application.Rongrong Zhang Daohao Li Jin Sun Yuqian Cui Yuanyuan Sun 2020Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2020,14,4:0
