1Optical spin-symmetry breaking for high-efficiency directional helicity-multiplexed metaholograms显示文摘Helicity-multiplexed metasurfaces based on symmetric spin–orbit interactions (SOIs) have practical limits because they cannot provide central-symmetric holographic imaging. Asymmetric SOIs can effectively address such limitations, with several exciting applications in various fields ranging from asymmetric data inscription in communications to dual side displays in smart mobile devices. Low-loss dielectric materials provide an excellent platform for realizing such exotic phenomena efficiently. In this paper, we demonstrate an asymmetric SOI-dependent transmission-type metasurface in the visible domain using hydrogenated amorphous silicon (a-Si:H) nanoresonators. The proposed design approach is equipped with an additional degree of freedom in designing bi-directional helicity-multiplexed metasurfaces by breaking the conventional limit imposed by the symmetric SOI in half employment of metasurfaces for one circular handedness. Two on-axis, distinct wavefronts are produced with high transmission efficiencies, demonstrating the concept of asymmetric wavefront generation in two antiparallel directions. Additionally, the CMOS compatibility of a-Si:H makes it a cost-effective alternative to gallium nitride (GaN) and titanium dioxide (TiO2) for visible light. 5Strategies to enhance cottonseed oil contents and reshape fatty acid profile employing different breeding and genetic engineering approaches显示文摘Cottonseed oil is the valuable byproduct extracted after seed cotton processing for lint. It confers a huge contribution to total vegetable oil production and ranked the 2nd to meet global edible oil requirements. Over centuries, breeders mainly focused to improve lint production and fiber quality. Now attention has been given to improve the cottonseed oil percentage, its functional and nutritional properties. However, these efforts are less than other major oilseed crops which left cottonseed oil market behind in term of consumer demand and kept cott on seed oil industry at vuln erable positi on. Con siderable progress has been made to alter the relative percentage of fatty acid composition still intensified efforts have been required to meet the global oilseed demand. 9Phosphorus-Mobilizing Rhizobacterial Strain Bacillus cereus GS6 Improves Symbiotic Efficiency of Soybean on an Aridisol Amended with Phosphorus-Enriched Compost显示文摘Legume plants are an essential component of sustainable farming systems.Phosphorus(P) deficiency is a significant constraint for legume production, especially in nutrient-poor soils of arid and semi-arid regions.In the present study, we conducted a pot experiment to evaluate the effects of a phosphorus-mobilizing plant-growth promoting rhizobacterial strain Bacillus cereus GS6, either alone or combined with phosphate-enriched compost(PEC) on the symbiotic(nodulation-N_2 fixation) performance of soybean(Glycine max(L.) Merr.) on an Aridisol.The PEC was produced by composting food waste with addition of single super phosphate.The bacterial strain B.cereus GS6 showed considerable potential for P solubilization and mobilization by releasing carboxylates in insoluble P(rock phosphate)-enriched medium.Inoculation of B.cereus GS6 in combination with PEC application significantly improved nodulation and nodule N_2 fixation efficiency.Compared to the control(without B.cereus GS6 and PEC), the combined application of B.cereus GS6 with PEC resulted in significantly higher accumulation of nitrogen(N), P, and potassium(K) in grain, shoot, and nodule.The N:P and P:K ratios in nodules were significantly altered by the application of PEC and B.cereus GS6, which reflected the important roles of P and K in symbiotic performance of soybean.The combined application of PEC and B.cereus GS6 also significantly increased the soil dehydrogenase and phosphomonoesterase activities, as well as the soil available N, P, and K contents.Significant positive relationships were found between soil organic carbon(C) content, dehydrogenase and phosphomonoesterase activities, and available N, P, and K contents.This study suggests that inoculation of P-mobilizing rhizobacteria, such as B.cereus GS6, in combination with PEC application might enhance legume productivity by improving nodulation and nodule N_2 fixation efficiency.Muhammad Saleem ARIF Muhammad RIAZ Sher Muhammad SHAHZAD Tahira YASMEEN Shafaqat ALI Muhammad Javed AKHTAR 2017Pedosphere2017,27,6:1

12Analysis and Power Quality Improvement in Hybrid Distributed Generation System with Utilization of Unified Power Quality Conditioner显示文摘This paper presents a comprehensive study that includes the sizing and power flow by series and parallel inverters in a distributed generation system(DGs)that integrates the system of hybrid wind photovoltaic with a unified power quality conditioner(UPQC).In addition to supplying active power to the utility grid,the system of hybrid wind photovoltaic functions as a UPQC,compensating reactive power and suppressing the harmonic load currents.Additionally,the load is supplied with harmonic-free,balanced and regulated output voltages.Since PVWind-UPQC is established on a dual compensation scheme,the series inverter works like a sinusoidal current source,while the parallel inverter works like a sinusoidal voltage source.Consequently,a smooth alteration from interconnected operating modes to island operating modes and vice versa can be achieved without load voltage transients.Since PV-Wind-UPQC inverters handle the energy generated through the hybrid wind photovoltaic system and the energy demanded through the load,the converters should be sized cautiously.A detailed study of the flow of power via the PV-Wind-UPQC is imperative to gain a complete understanding of the system operation and the proper design of the converters.Thus,curves that allow the sizing of the power converters according to the power flow via the converters are presented and discussed.Simulation results are presented to assess both steady state and dynamic performances of the grid connected hybrid system of PV-Wind-UPQC.This investigation is verified by simulating and analyzing the results with Matlab/Simulink.Noor Zanib Munira Batool Saleem Riaz Farkhanda Afzal Sufian Munawar Ibtisam Daqqa Najma Saleem 2023Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2023,,2:0

14Accelerated Iterative Learning Control for Linear Discrete Systems with Parametric Perturbation and Measurement Noise显示文摘An iterative learning control algorithm based on error backward association and control parameter correction has been proposed for a class of linear discrete time-invariant systems with repeated operation characteristics,parameter disturbance,and measurement noise taking PD type example.Firstly,the concrete form of the accelerated learning law is presented,based on the detailed description of how the control factor is obtained in the algorithm.Secondly,with the help of the vector method,the convergence of the algorithm for the strict mathematical proof,combined with the theory of spectral radius,sufficient conditions for the convergence of the algorithm is presented for parameter determination and no noise,parameter uncertainty but excluding measurement noise,parameters uncertainty and with measurement noise,and the measurement noise of four types of scenarios respectively.Finally,the theoretical results show that the convergence rate mainly depends on the size of the controlled object,the learning parameters of the control law,the correction coefficient,the association factor and the learning interval.Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm has a faster convergence rate than the traditional PD algorithm under the same conditions.Xiaoxin Yang Saleem Riaz 2022Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2022,,8:0
15Optimizing Steering Angle Predictive Convolutional Neural Network for Autonomous Car显示文摘Deep learning techniques,particularly convolutional neural networks(CNNs),have exhibited remarkable performance in solving visionrelated problems,especially in unpredictable,dynamic,and challenging environments.In autonomous vehicles,imitation-learning-based steering angle prediction is viable due to the visual imagery comprehension of CNNs.In this regard,globally,researchers are currently focusing on the architectural design and optimization of the hyperparameters of CNNs to achieve the best results.Literature has proven the superiority of metaheuristic algorithms over the manual-tuning of CNNs.However,to the best of our knowledge,these techniques are yet to be applied to address the problem of imitationlearning-based steering angle prediction.Thus,in this study,we examine the application of the bat algorithm and particle swarm optimization algorithm for the optimization of the CNN model and its hyperparameters,which are employed to solve the steering angle prediction problem.To validate the performance of each hyperparameters’set and architectural parameters’set,we utilized the Udacity steering angle dataset and obtained the best results at the following hyperparameter set:optimizer,Adagrad;learning rate,0.0052;and nonlinear activation function,exponential linear unit.As per our findings,we determined that the deep learning models show better results but require more training epochs and time as compared to shallower ones.Results show the superiority of our approach in optimizing CNNs through metaheuristic algorithms as compared with the manual-tuning approach.Infield testing was also performed using the model trained with the optimal architecture,which we developed using our approach.Hajira Saleem Faisal Riaz Asadullah Shaikh Khairan Rajab Adel Rajab Muhammad Akram Mana Saleh Al Reshan 2022Computers, Materials & Continua2022,,5:0
