1Coupled biodegradation of p-nitrophenol and p-aminophenol in bioelectrochemical system:Mechanism and microbial functional diversity显示文摘Biodegradation mechanisms and microbial functional diversity during coupled pnitrophenol(PNP)and p-aminophenol(PAP)degradation were studied in a bioelectrochemical system.PNP in the biocathode and PAP in the bioanode were almost completely removed within 28 hr and 68 hr respectively.The degradation followed the steps including hydrating hydroxyalkylation,dehydrogenating carbonylation,and hydrolating ring cleavage,etc.Metagemomic analysis based on the KEGG and egg NOG database annotations revealed the microbial composition and functional genes/enzymes related to phenol degradation in the system.The predominant bacteria genera were Lautropia,Pandoraea,Thiobacillus,Ignavibacterium,Truepera and Hyphomicrobium.The recognized biodegradation genes/enzymes related to pollutant degradation were as follows:pmo,hbd,&ppo for phenol degradation,nzba,amie,&badh for aromatic degradation,and CYP&p450 for xenobiotics degradation,etc.The co-occurrence of ARGs(antibiotic resistant genes),such as ade F,Mex J,Erm F,PDC-93 and Escherichiacolimdf A,etc.,were annotated in CARD database during the biodegradation process.The Proteobacteria&Actinobacteria phylum was the primary host of both the biodegradation genes&ARGs in this system.The microbial functional diversity ensured the effective biodegradation of the phenol pollutants in the bioelectrochemical system.Jianjun Luo Yuxi Xu Jing Wang Libin Zhang Xinbai Jiang Jinyou Shen 2021Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,10:2
2Effect of moxibustion on autophagy and the inflammatory response of synovial cells in rheumatoid arthritis model rats显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effect of moxibustion on synovitis and the autophagy of synoviocytes in rheumatoid arthritis(RA).METHODS:Forty Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into a normal group,model group,moxibustion group,cigarette moxibustion group,and medicine group,with eight rats included in each group.The RA model was established by subcutaneous injection of complete Freund's adjuvant into the left posterior toe.Rats in the model group were not interfered with.In the moxibustion group,rats were treated by moxibustion,where a 1-cm diameter moxa stick was applied at the left Zusanli(ST 36)point.The distance of the moxa stick to the skin was 2 cm and moxibustion was completed for 20 min daily for 15 d total.In the cigarette moxibustion group,the moxa stick was replaced by a common cigarette.In the medicine group,rats were treated with a tripterygium glycoside suspension(8 mg/kg)once a day for 15 d total.In each group,the left hind limb toe volume was measured with a toe volume meter;the synovial cells were observed by hematoxylin and eosin staining;the interleukin(IL)-4,IL-6,IL-10,IL-1β,IL-23,IL-17,and tumor necrosis factor(TNF)-αlevels in serum were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay;the erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR)were detected by Westergren sedimentation rate testing;the C-reactive protein(CRP)and rheumatoid factor(RF)levels in serum were detected by rate nephelometry;the expression levels of ULK1,autophagy-associated protein(Atg)3,Atg5,and Atg12 messenger RNA(m RNA)in synovium were detected by real time-quantitative polymerase chain reaction(RT-q PCR);and the protein expression levels of phosphatidylinositol-3-kinase(PI3K),protein kinase B(Akt),mammalian target of rapamycin(mTOR),LC3-Ⅱ,beclin-1,phosphorylated-PI3K(p-PI3K),p-Akt,p-mTOR in synovium were detected by Western blotting.RESULTS:Among the RA model rats,joint swelling,an inflammatory reaction,and the proliferation of synovial tissue were obvious and the signal of the PI3K/Akt/mTOR pathway was active,while autophagy was inhibited.Moxibustion at Zusanli(ST36)or intragastric administration of Tripterygium wilfordii glycosides could alleviate the inflammatory reaction of RA rats;relieve the swelling of the toes;downregulate the levels of ESR,CRF,RF;lower the levels of IL-6,IL-1β,TNF-α,and IL-17;and increase the IL-4 and IL-10.At the same time,the m RNA expression levels of ULK1,Atg3,Atg5,and Atg12 and those of LC3-Ⅱand beclin-1 were increased,while the PI3K,Akt,mTOR,p-PI3K,p-Akt,p-mTOR were decreased.Cigarette moxibustion did not significantly reduce the swelling of the toe joint in RA rats,and was not as good as that of moxibustion or Tripterygium wilfordii polyglycosides in the effects of inflammation relief and the influences of the levels of ESR,CRF,RF.While cigarette moxibustion has a weak effect to affect the expression of corresponding molecules in autophages and the expression level of the autophagy biomaker in synovial tissue.Moxibustion and tripterygium glycosides can significantly reduce the joint swelling,relieve synovitis and synovial hyperplasia,and inhibit the PI3K/Akt/mTOR signaling pathway to increase autophagy in a manner superior to cigarette moxibustion.CONCLUSION:Moxibustion can limit the proliferation of synoviocytes in RA rats by inhibiting the PI3K/Akt/mTOR signaling pathway,promoting autophagy,effectively reducing synovitis,and alleviating joint swelling.HAO Feng WANG Qiang LIU Lei WU Libin CAI Ronglin SANG Jiajia HU Jun WANG Jie YU Qing HE Lu SHEN Yingchao MIAO Yiming HU Ling WU Zijian 2022Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2022,42,1:1

4Unveiling exceptional sinterability of ultrafine a-Al2O_(3) nanopowders显示文摘Scalable pressureless sintering of nanocrystalline alumina(Al2O_(3))ceramics is a challenging problem with great scientific and technological interest.This challenge was addressed in our recent works utilizing ultrafine a-Al2O_(3) nanopowders with exceptional sinterability combined with two-step sintering technique.Here the sintering mechanism and kinetic parameters(grain boundary diffusivity and its activation energy)were analyzed from constant heating-rate sintering experiments by three different sintering models and compared with existing sintering data in the literature.We found that the lowtemperature sintering of 4.7 nm a-Al2O_(3) nanopowders can be well explained by conventional sintering mechanism via grain boundary diffusion,with reasonable activation energy of 4e5 eV that is smaller than that of coarse Al2O_(3) powders and enhanced diffusivity.However,unphysically small activation energy could be obtained if an inappropriate model was used.Lastly,successful two-step sintering was demonstrated under different heating rates.Our work illustrates that the exceptional sinterability of ultrafine a-Al2O_(3) nanopowders are most likely contributed by small size(short diffusion distance),large surface area(large sintering driving force)and good dispersity rather than new sintering mechanism,and highlights the importance of fast firing and the non-equilibrium nature for the low-temperature sintering of such nanopowders.Hongbing Yang Lu Li Yuanyuan Li Bing Shen Yueming Kang Libin Zhao Jiajie Li Yanhao Dong Jiangong Li 2021Journal of Materiomics2021,7,4:0
5Synergistic effects of plant hormones on spontaneous late-ripening mutant of'Jinghong'peach detected by transcriptome analysis显示文摘Objectives:Peach(Prunus persica L.)is an ancient fruit tree that originated from China.It is the climacteric fruit belonging to genus Prunus in family Rosaceae.Ethylene,which is produced during ripening,accelerates fruit softening,and therefore peaches cannot be stored for a long time.Materials and Methods:To study the mechanism of fruit late ripening,transcriptome analysis of the fruit of a late-ripening mutant of'Jinghong'peach was performed to identify genes and pathways involved in fruit late ripening.Results:A total of 1805,1511,and 2309 genes were found to be differentially expressed in W2_vs_M1,W3_vs_M2,and W3_vs_M3,respectively.Functional enrichment analysis of the differentially expressed genes showed they were related to carotenoid biosynthesis,starch and sucrose metabolism plant hormone signal transduction,flavonoid biosynthesis,and photosynthesis.The expression trends of ripening-related genes that encode transcription factors and plant hormone signal transduction-related genes that encode enzymes were similar.Conclusions:It will help to elucidate the transcriptional regulatory network of fruit development in the spontaneous late-ripening mutant of‘Jinghong’peach and provide a theoretical basis for understanding the molecular regulatory mechanism of fruit ripening.Man Zhang Tingting Du Yarui Yin Hongyan Cao Zhihua Song Mao Ye Yating Liu Yanhong Shen Libin Zhang Qing Yang Dong Meng Junkai Wu 2022Food Quality and Safety2022,6,1:0
