1Surveillance of Hand,Foot,and Mouth Disease in China's Mainland (2008-2009)显示文摘Objective Since HFMD was designated as a class C communicable disease in May 2008,18 months surveillance data have been accumulated to December 2009.This article was to describe the distribution of HFMD for age,sex,area,and time between 2008 and 2009,to reveal the characteristics of the epidemic.Methods We analyzed weekly reported cases of HFMD from May 2008 to December 2009,and presented data on the distribution of age,sex,area and time.A discrete Poisson model was used to detect spatial-temporal clusters of HFMD.Results More than 1 065 000 cases of HFMD were reported in China's Mainland from May 2008 to December 2009 (total incidence:12.47 per 10 000).Male incidence was higher than female for all ages and 91.9% of patients were <5 years old.The incidence was highest in Beijing,Shanghai,Zhejiang and Hainan.The highest peak of HFMD cases was in April and the number of cases remained high from April to August.The spatial-temporal distribution detected four clusters.Conclusion Children <5 years old were susceptible to HFMD and we should be aware of their vulnerability.The incidence was higher in urban than rural areas,and an annual pandemic usually starts in April.ZHU Qi HAO YuanTao MA JiaQi YU ShiCheng WANG Yu 2011Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2011,24,4:73

3A Road Extraction Method for Remote Sensing Image Based on Encoder-Decoder Network显示文摘According to the characteristics of the road features,an Encoder-Decoder deep semantic segmentation network is designed for the road extraction of remote sensing images.Firstly,as the features of the road target are rich in local details and simple in semantic features,an Encoder-Decoder network with shallow layers and high resolution is designed to improve the ability to represent detail information.Secondly,as the road area is a small proportion in remote sensing images,the cross-entropy loss function is improved,which solves the imbalance between positive and negative samples in the training process.Experiments on large road extraction datasets show that the proposed method gets the recall rate 83.9%,precision 82.5%and F1-score 82.9%,which can extract the road targets in remote sensing images completely and accurately.The Encoder-Decoder network designed in this paper performs well in the road extraction task and needs less artificial participation,so it has a good application prospect.Hao HE Shuyang WANG Shicheng WANG Dongfang YANG Xing LIU 2020Journal of Geodesy and Geoinformation Science2020,3,2:20

6Apatite fission track dating evidence on the tectonization of Gangdese block, south Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau显示文摘This work makes the quantitative constrain on tectonizations of the Gangdese block, south Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau. Apatite fission track (AFT) dating analyses of 15 samples collected across the Gangdese block show that the Gangdese block went through two periods of tectonizations, during -37.2-18.5 Ma and 18.5 - 8.0 Ma in the south Gangdese block, and during -47.6-5.3 Ma and 5.3-0 Ma in the middle Gangdese block. Different upliftings did not take place in the first period and rapid uplifting occurred in the late period. Meantime, there are some differences be-tween the south and middle Gangdese block. Their uplifting rate is 180 m/Ma and 70 m/Ma respectively. The rapid up-lifting time in the middle Gangdese block lagged behind the time in the south Gangdese block. 7Real-time fault detection method based on belief rule base for aircraft navigation system显示文摘Real-time and accurate fault detection is essential to enhance the aircraft navigation system's reliability and safety. The existent detection methods based on analytical model draws back at simultaneously detecting gradual and sudden faults. On account of this reason, we propose an online detection solution based on non-analytical model. In this article, the navigation system fault detection model is established based on belief rule base (BRB), where the system measuring residual and its changing rate are used as the inputs of BRB model and the fault detection function as the output. To overcome the drawbacks of current parameter optimization algorithms for BRB and achieve online update, a parameter recursive estimation algorithm is presented for online BRB detection model based on expectation maximization (EM) algorithm. Furthermore, the proposed method is verified by navigation experiment. Experimental results show that the proposed method is able to effectively realize online parameter evaluation in navigation system fault detection model. The output of the detection model can track the fault state very well, and the faults can be diagnosed in real time and accurately. 8Design and demonstration of a next-generation air quality attainment assessment system for PM_(2.5)and O_3显示文摘Due to the increasingly stringent standards, it is important to assess whether the proposed emission reduction will result in ambient concentrations that meet the standards. The Software for Model Attainment Test—Community Edition(SMAT-CE) is developed for demonstrating attainment of air quality standards of O3 and PM2.5. SMAT-CE improves computational efficiency and provides a number of advanced visualization and analytical functionalities on an integrated GIS platform. SMAT-CE incorporates historical measurements of air quality parameters and simulated air pollutant concentrations under a number of emission inventory scenarios to project the level of compliance to air quality standards in a targeted future year. 9Development and case study of a science-based software platform to support policy making on air quality显示文摘This article describes the development and implementations of a novel software platform that supports real-time, science-based policy making on air quality through a user-friendly interface. The software, RSM-VAT, uses a response surface modeling(RSM) methodology and serves as a visualization and analysis tool(VAT) for three-dimensional air quality data obtained by atmospheric models. The software features a number of powerful and intuitive data visualization functions for illustrating the complex nonlinear relationship between emission reductions and air quality benefits. 10A two-step lineage reprogramming strategy to generate functionally competent human hepatocytes from fibroblasts显示文摘Terminally differentiated cells can be generated by lineage reprogramming,which is,however,hindered by incomplete conversion with residual initial cell identity and partial functionality. Here, we demonstrate a new reprogramming strategy by mimicking the natural regeneration route, which permits generating expandable hepatic progenitor cells and functionally competent human hepatocytes. Fibroblasts were first induced into human hepatic progenitor-like cells (hHPLCs), which could robustly expand in vitro and efficiently engraft in vivo. Moreover, hHPLCs could be efficiently induced into mature human hepatocytes (hiHeps) in vitro, whose molecular identity highly resembles primary human hepatocytes (PHHs). Most importantly, hiHeps could be generated in large quantity and were functionally competent to replace PHHs for drug-metabolism estimation, toxicity prediction and hepatitis B virus infection modeling. Our results highlight the advantages of the progenitor stage for successful lineage reprogramming. 11A case study of development and application of a streamlined control and response modeling system for PM_(2.5)attainment assessment in China显示文摘This article describes the development and application of a streamlined air control and response modeling system with a novel response surface modeling-linear coupled fitting method and a new module to provide streamlined model data for PM_(2.5) attainment assessment in China.This method is capable of significantly reducing the dimensions required to establish a response surface model,as well as capturing more realistic response of PM_(2.5) to emission changes with a limited number of model simulations.The newly developed module establishes a data link between the system and the Software for Model Attainment Test—Community Edition(SMAT-CE),and has the ability to rapidly provide model responses to emission control scenarios for SMAT-CE using a simple interface.The performance of this streamlined system is demonstrated through a case study of the Yangtze River Delta(YRD) in China.Our results show that this system is capable of reproducing the Community Multi-Scale Air Quality(CMAQ) model simulation results with maximum mean normalized error < 3.5%.It is also demonstrated that primary emissions make a major contribution to ambient levels of PM_(2.5) in January and August(e.g.,more than50%contributed by primary emissions in Shanghai),and Shanghai needs to have regional emission control both locally and in its neighboring provinces to meet China's annual PM_(2.5)National Ambient Air Quality Standard.The streamlined system provides a real-time control/response assessment to identify the contributions of major emission sources to ambient PM_(2.5)(and potentially O_3 as well) and streamline air quality data for SMAT-CE to perform attainment assessments.Shicheng Long Yun Zhu Carey Jang Che-Jen Lin Shuxiao Wang Bin Zhao Jian Gao Shuang Deng Junping Xie Xuezhen Qiu 2016Journal of Environmental Sciences2016,28,3:9
12Application of GIS in Mineral Resource Prediction of Synthetic Information显示文摘This paper introduces the formation mechanism and synthetic information prediction of large and superlarge deposits in Shandong Province by analyzing and studying on the GIS platform. The authors established a prospecting model of synthetic information from large and superlarge gold deposit concentration region, and the multi-source spatial database from concentration region of deposits and anomalies. On the basis of the spatial database, a target map layer, a model map layer and a predictive map layer were set up. Based on these map layers, geological variables of the model unit and predictive unit were extracted, then launched location and quantitative prediction of the gold deposit concentration region. 13Evaluating the accuracy of Chinese pasture data in global historical land use datasets显示文摘Global historical land use datasets are widely used in global environmental change studies; however, uncertainties in the included pasture data have not been evaluated. In this study, using trend, relative difference ratio(RDR), and spatial comparisons, we evaluated the accuracy of China pasture data in the HYDE(versions 3.1 and 3.2), SAGE, and PJ datasets using historical document-based reconstructions, including the land use datasets for China covering 1935–1997(hereafter Ge-dataset)and Northeast China covering the 1700 s–2000(hereafter Ye-dataset), and the satellite-based China's Land-Use/cover Datasets(CLUDs) for 1980–2015. Four important results were obtained.(1) China pasture area in the HYDE, SAGE, and PJ datasets and grassland area in the Ge-dataset, Ye-dataset, and CLUDs show both disparate trends and large differences in absolute values.(2)Spatially, 50.9%, 52.8%, and 63.0% pasture/grassland grids in 2000 had RDRs greater than 60% between HYDE3.1, HYDE3.2,and SAGE datasets, and CLUDs, respectively. The percentage of grids with RDRs less than 20% were 24.9%, 26.7%, and 16.0%,respectively.(3) Based on HYDE3.2, the spatial distribution of pasture in Northeast China over the last 300 year has expanded,which is in contrast to the results from the Ye-dataset, which shows the spatial distribution of grassland shrinking because of human reclamation activities.(4) The large contrasts between the global datasets and Chinese native datasets are due to differences in pasture/grassland definitions, land use practices, and spatial reconstruction methods.Fanneng HE Shicheng LI Fan YANG Meijiao LI 2018Science China Earth Sciences2018,61,11:7

15Mulching mode and planting density affect canopy interception loss of rainfall and water use efficiency of dryland maize on the Loess Plateau of China显示文摘High and efficient use of limited rainwater resources is of crucial importance for the crop production in arid and semi-arid areas. To investigate the effects of different soil and crop management practices(i.e., mulching mode treatments: flat cultivation with non-mulching, flat cultivation with straw mulching, plastic-covered ridge with bare furrow and plastic-covered ridge with straw-covered furrow; and planting density treatments: low planting density of 45,000 plants/hm^2, medium planting density of 67,500 plants/hm^2 and high planting density of 90,000 plants/hm^2) on rainfall partitioning by dryland maize canopy, especially the resulted net rainfall input beneath the maize canopy, we measured the gross rainfall, throughfall and stemflow at different growth stages of dryland maize in 2015 and 2016 on the Loess Plateau of China. The canopy interception loss was estimated by the water balance method. Soil water storage, leaf area index, grain yield(as well as it components) and water use efficiency of dryland maize were measured or calculated. Results showed that the cumulative throughfall, cumulative stemflow and cumulative canopy interception loss during the whole growing season accounted for 42.3%–77.5%, 15.1%–36.3% and 7.4%–21.4% of the total gross rainfall under different treatments, respectively. Soil mulching could promote the growth and development of dryland maize and enhance the capability of stemflow production and canopy interception loss, thereby increasing the relative stemflow and relative canopy interception loss and reducing the relative throughfall. The relative stemflow and relative canopy interception loss generally increased with increasing planting density, while the relative throughfall decreased with increasing planting density. During the two experimental years, mulching mode had no significant influence on net rainfall due to the compensation between throughfall and stemflow, whereas planting density significantly affected net rainfall. The highest grain yield and water use efficiency of dryland maize were obtained under the combination of medium planting density of 67,500 plants/hm^2 and mulching mode of plastic-covered ridge with straw-covered furrow. Soil mulching can reduce soil evaporation and retain more soil water for dryland maize without reducing the net rainfall input beneath the maize canopy, which may alleviate the contradiction between high soil water consumption and insufficient rainfall input of the soil. 17Numerical and experimental investigation into hypersonic boundary layer transition induced by roughness elements显示文摘In this work, the Direct Numerical Simulation(DNS) and Oil-Film Interferometry(OFI)technique are used to investigate the hypersonic boundary layer transition induced by single and double roughness elements at Mach number 5. For single roughness, the DNS results showed that both horseshoe vortices and hairpin vortices caused by shear layer instability can affect the boundary layer instability. The generation of the near-wall unstable structure is the key point of boundary layer transition behind the roughness element. At the downstream of the roughness element, the interaction between horseshoe vortices and hairpin vortices will spread in the spanwise direction.For double roughness elements, the effect of the spacing between roughness elements on the transition is studied. It is found that the case of higher spacing between roughness elements is more effective for inducing transition than the lower one. The interaction between two adjacent roughness elements can suppress the evolution of horseshoe vortices in the downstream and trigger the instability of shear layer. 18High-throughput droplet microfluidic synthesis of hierarchical metal-organic framework nanosheet microcapsules显示文摘Using two-dimensional(2D)metal-organic framework(MOF)nanosheets as new building blocks to create more complex architectures at the mesoscopic/macroscopic scale has attracted extensive interest in recent years.Nevertheless,it remains a great challenge to assemble MOF nanosheets into hierarchical hollow structures so far.In this paper,we describe a successful example of hierarchical MOF nanosheet microcapsules,with precisely controlled sizes,produced on large scale within minutes with a continuous droplet microfluidic strategy.Following a reaction/diffusion growth mechanism,the microcapsule shells feature a continuous smooth inner layer and a porous outer layer.Such hierarchical structure enables the encapsulation of magnetite nanoparticles inside and loading of dense gold nanoparticles outside the microcapsules,which exhibit highly efficient heterogeneous catalytic activity and easy recyclability.The present microfluidic assembly method offers a new pathway for preparing hierarchical MOF nanosheet structures,with the potential for extension to the formation of other 2D nanosheets in general.Songting Wu Zhong Xin Shicheng Zhao Shengtong Sun 2019Nano Research2019,12,11:6

20A new method to optimize the fracture geometry of a frac-packed well in unconsolidated sandstone heavy oil reservoirs显示文摘The worldwide proven recoverable reserves of conventional oil are less than the amount of the heavy oil.Owing to weakly consolidated formation,sand production is an important problem encountered during oil production in heavy oil reservoirs,for which frac-pack technique is one of the most common treatments.Hence,how to obtain the optimal fracture geometry is the key to increasing well production and preventing sand.Due to the faultiness that current optimization of the fracture geometry only depends on well productivity,fracture-flow fraction was used to describe the contribution of the fracture collecting and conducting fluids from the reservoir.The higher the fracture-flow fraction,the more likely bilinear flow pattern occurs,thus leading to smaller flow resistance and better results in oil productivity and sand prevention.A reservoir numerical simulation model was established to simulate the long-term production dynamic of a fractured well in rectangular drainage areas.In order to reach the aim of increasing productivity meanwhile preventing sand,a new method based on Unified Fracture Design was developed to optimize the fracture geometry.For a specific reservoir and a certain amount of proppant injected to the target layer,there exits an optimal dimensionless fracture conductivity which corresponds to the maximum fracture-flow fraction,accordingly we can get the optimal fracture geometry.The formulas of the optimal fracture geometry were presented on square drainage area conditions,which are very convenient to apply.Equivalent Proppant Number was used to eliminate the impact of aspect ratios of rectangular drainage area,then,the same method to optimize the fracture geometry as mentioned for square drainage areas could be adopted too.BIAN XiaoBing ZHANG ShiCheng ZHANG JingChen WANG Fei 2012Science China(Technological Sciences)2012,55,6:5
