1Al_(80)Ni_6Y_8Co_4Cu_2 GLASS ALLOYS CONTAINING NANOSCALEPARTICLES BY ISOTHERMAL ANNEALING OR QUENCHING显示文摘Al80Ni6 Y8 Co4 Cu2 amorphous ribbons were isothermally annealed and a mixed structure consisting of α-Al particle with a size of less than 15nm and Al3Ni compound with a size of about 30nm was obtained. The crystallization kinetics of Al80Ni6 Y8 Co4 Cu2 amorphous alloy shows that the precipitation of α-Al particles is the growth process controlled by diffusion of the solute elements rejected from the growing crystals. By quenching at different cooling rates, a mixed structure consisting of nanoscale α-Al particles and the remaining glass matrix or structure consisting of nanoscale particle (Al phase or Al3Ni compound) with a size of about 100nm was formed. The addition of Co elements and Cu elements to Al-Ni-Y alloy systems increases the glass formation ability of the alloy and the thermal stability of the supercooled liquid region against crystallization, which results from significant difference of atomic size, strong bonding nature among constituent elements and the low diffisivity of the solute elements due to the concentration gradient in the growing front of crystals.Z. 2Evolutionary Significance of Pylentonemid Radiolarians and Their Late Devonian Species from Southwestern Tianshan,China显示文摘A group of radiolarian fossils with a complete morphological gradient of increasing polarization are reported from upper Devonian successions in southwestern Tianshan,China.Specifically,the important transitional mophotypes,Pylentonema transitorum sp.nov.,Archocyrtium medium sp.nov.and Quadrapesus transitivus sp.nov.,were found.Based on the fact that the new transitional radiolarian fossils resemble more closely to pylentonemids(cyrtoid nassellarians)than to entactinids(spumellarians)in morphology,they are assigned to pylentonemids.Pylentonemids share characters of both the Nassellaria(e.g.,horned cephalis,basal opening with pylome)and Spumellaria(e.g.,system of trabecular spicules),and they are thus of evolutionary significance.The evolutionary trend from spumellarians to nassellarians is characterized by(1)internal spicule:from simple trabecular spicules to complicate components(A;lr,ll;D;V;Lr,Li;MB);(2)polarization of the radiolarian tests due to rearrangment of spine,from radial to an axial symmetry;(3)the gradual formation of a basal opening(aperture,pylome,or podome);and the transition from a pseudopylome,a primative pylome with a narrow margin on the outer shell,to a true pylome rimmed with a narrow,elevated impermite wall.LIU Yu HAO Shougang 2006Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2006,80,5:13
3An analysis of soil composition and mechanical properties of riverbanks in a braided reach of the Lower Yellow River显示文摘The channel adjustment in a braided reach is very prominent in the fluvial processes of the Lower Yel-low River, in which the process of bank erosion plays an important role, especially during the period of clear water scouring. The process of bank erosion is closely related to soil composition and mechani-cal properties of the riverbanks. In this paper, the recent bank erosion process in a braided reach be-tween Huayuankou and Gaocun was firstly investigated after the water impoundment and sediment detention of the Xiaolangdi Reservoir, and then a field observation and indoor soil tests were con-ducted at 10 typical riverbanks in the braided reach. Through analyzing the experimental results, changes of riverbank-soil composition and mechanical properties were found, and the two real reasons causing serious bank erosion in the braided reach were identified. The following conclusions were drawn from this study: (i) the majority of riverbanks are made up of cohesive soil, and can be charac-terized by obvious vertical stratification structures of soil composition; (ii) these riverbanks are very erodible due to the lower clay-content and weak erosion-resistant strength in the bank soil, with its critical shear stress value (0.1―0.3 Pa) being much less than that of the average near-bank flow shear stress (2.0―3.0 Pa), which is one important reason causing serious bank erosion; (iii) frequent occur-rence of bank failure during flood seasons usually results from the fact that the values of shear strength parameters such as the cohesion and internal friction angle decrease with the increase of water content in riverbank soil, and the value of cohesion reduces drastically from 34 to 4 kPa with the increase of water content, which is another important reason causing serious bank erosion in the braided reach.XlA JunQiang WU BaoSheng WANG YanPing ZHAO ShouGang 2008Chinese Science Bulletin2008,53,15:11
4Dome Combustion Hot Blast Stove for Huge Blast Furnace显示文摘In Shougang Jingtang 5 500m 3 huge blast furnace ( BF ) design , dome combustion hot blast stove ( DCHBS ) technology is developed.DCHBS process is optimized and integrated , and reasonable hot blast stove ( HBS ) technical parameters are determined.Mathematic model is established and adopted by computational fluid dynamics ( CFD ) .The transmission theory is studied for hot blast stove combustion and gas flow , and distribution results of HBS velocity field , CO density field and temperature field are achieved.Physical test model and hot trail unit are established , and the numeral calculation result is verified through test and investigation.3-D simulation design is adopted.HBS process flow and process layout are optimized and designed.Combustion air two-stage high temperature preheating technology is designed and developed.Two sets of small size DCHBSs are adopted to preheat the combustion air to 520-600℃.With the precondition of BF gas combustion , the hot blast stove dome temperature can exceed 1 420 ℃. 5Surface Defects of Cold-Rolled Ti-IF Steel Sheets due to Non-Metallic Inclusions显示文摘Surface defects of the cold-rolled sheets of Ti-IF steel were studied and analyzed. After analyzing surface defects of cold-rolled sheets, such as shelling defects, holes and sliver defects by SEM/EDS, a variety of inclusions were found. In addition, the distribution of macro-inclusions in slabs was analyzed by MIDAS method. The results show the macroscopic inclusion bands of head slabs and normal slabs are in 1/8 slab thickness regions of both inner arc side and outer arc side. The formation process of the defects in the cold-rolled sheets was simulated with an experimental cold-rolling machine for comparison. 6Electrochemical behavior of microbiologically influenced corrosion on Fe_3Al in marine environment显示文摘In this article,microbiologically influenced corrosion behavior of Fe3Al intermetal-lic compound in microorganism culture medium has been investigated by using weight loss methods,electrochemical techniques,and electron microscopy.Polar-ization curves showed that a sharp electrical current peak caused by surface pitting could be observed after Fe3Al electrodes were immersed in culture medium for 15 days when the polarization potential was about-790 mV vs SCE.Based on the electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS)and the equivalent circuit parameters of the associated system,the corrosion products were found to exhibit a two-layer structured feature and the microorganisms could induce pitting and erosion corrosion of the inner layer.In addition,the passivating film of the inner layer was absolutely destroyed by microbial metabolic products.Xueting CHANG Shougang CHEN Guanhui GAO Yansheng YIN Sha CHENG Tao LIU 2009Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2009,22,4:5

9A New Lycopsid, Zhenglia radiata gen. et sp. nov., from the Lower Devonian Posongchong Formation of Southeastern Yunnan, China, and Its Evolutionary Significance显示文摘A new plant, Zhenglia radiata gen. et sp. nov., from the Posongchong Formation (Early Devonian, Pragian age) of the Wenshan District of southeastern Yunnan Province, China is a small herbaceous lycopsid. The aerial branches divide into foliar and fertile stems. The arrangement of the leaf bases on the stem shows lepidodendroid-like phyllotaxy. Possibly the leaf base bears a ligulate pit. The microphyll consists of a swollen, decurrent base, and an entire, linear lamina. The fertile axis is composed of sporophylls arranged helically, forming a compact area similar to cone-like structure. Each sporophyll consists of a widened lateral extension and a distal lamina. The ovoid-elongate sporangia are attached adaxially on the surface of sporophylls. Based on morphological similarities, especially the undivided microphylls, the style of phyllotaxy, the form of the cone-like structures and sporangia, the new lycopsid Zhenglia radiata is placed in the order Protolepidodendrales and a possible evolutionary relationship with the arborescent lycopsids of the Late Devonian and Carboniferous is considered.HAO Shougang WANG Deming WANG Qi XUE Jinzhuang 2006Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2006,80,1:4
10The precipitation and effect of nano nitrides in HSLC steel显示文摘The existing forms of N and Al in HSLC (high strength low carbon) steel produced by TSCR (thin slab casting and rolling process), the precipitation thermodynamics and kinetics of AlN, and its effects on structure and mechanical property are studied. The experimental results show that only a small quantity of nitrogen is com- bined into AlN in HSLC steel produced by TSCR and most of the nitrogen in steel is still free nitrogen. Aluminum-nitride is mainly precipitated during the period of slow air cooling after coiling, but not during rolling and water cooling. The acid-soluble aluminum has no obvious effect on the grain size and mechanical property of HSLC steel produced by TSCR whose acid-soluble aluminum content is 0.005%―0.043%. The precipitation of AlN is not the main cause of grain refinement of HSLC steel produced by TSCR, nor is AlN the dominating precipitate that has precipitation strengthening effect. 11Earliest record of megaphylls and leafy structures, and their initial diversification显示文摘Evolutionary changes in the structure of leaves have had far-reaching effects on the anatomy and physiology of vascular plants, resulting in morphological diversity and species expansion. People have long been interested in the question of the nature of the morphology of early leaves and how they were attained. At least five lineages of euphyllophytes can be recognized among the Early Devonian fossil plants (Pragian age, ca. 410 Ma ago) of South China. Their different leaf precursors or 'branch-leaf complexes' are believed to foreshadow true megaphylls with different venation patterns and configurations, indicating that multiple origins of megaphylls had occurred by the Early Devonian, much earlier than has previously been recognized. In addition to megaphylls in euphyllophytes, the laminate leaf-like appendages (sporophylls or bracts) occurred independently in several distantly related Early Devonian plant lineages, probably as a response to ecological factors such as high atmospheric CO 2 concentrations. 12Formulation of Determining the Gravity Potential Difference Using Ultra-High Precise Clocks via Optical Fiber Frequency Transfer Technique显示文摘Based on gravity frequency shift effect predicted by general relativity theory, this study discusses an approach for determining the gravity potential(geopotential) difference between arbitrary two points P and Q by remote comparison of two precise optical clocks via optical fiber frequency transfer. After synchronization, by measuring the signal's frequency shift based upon the comparison of bidirectional frequency signals from P and Q oscillators connected with two optical atomic clocks via remote optical fiber frequency transfer technique, the geopotential difference between the two points could be determined, and its accuracy depends on the stabilities of the optical clocks and the frequency transfer comparison technique. Due to the fact that the present stability of optical clocks achieves 1.6×10-18 and the present frequency transfer comparison via optical fiber provides stabilities as high as 10-19 level, this approach is prospective to determine geopotential difference with an equivalent accuracy of 1.5 cm. 14Correlation of diffusion tensor imaging and cognitive function in patients with leukoaraiosis显示文摘Conventional imaging technology does not measure white matter lesions of the brain or cognitive impairment.Diffusion tensor imaging is able to detect changes in the microstructure of white matter,and correlating vascular risk factors with cognitive dysfunction seems feasible using this technique.A total of 60 leukoaraiosis patients and 30 healthy elderly controls received diffusion tensor imaging examination to detect the average diffusion coefficient and fractional anisotropy of leukoaraiosis lesion and normal white matter.Leukoaraiosis severity positively correlated with average diffusion coefficient but negatively correlated with fraction anisotropy.Neuropsychology tests(mini-mental state examination) were related to average diffusion coefficient and fraction anisotropy of normal white matter in leukoaraiosis patients,especially in the anterior horn and centrum semiovale.The average diffusion coefficient and fraction anisotropy of leukoaraiosis displayed characteristic changes.Therefore,diffusion tensor imaging can detect the macrostructural changes in white matter with normal magnetic resonance imaging,and these changes are related to cognitive function.Application of diffusion tensor imaging techniques to analyze the correlation between vascular risk factors and cognitive dysfunction is feasible.Chuanqiang Qu Shougang Guo Hongzhi Guo Xiangshui Meng Chunjuan Wang Lin Ma Yan He 2010Neural Regeneration Research2010,5,15:2

16Final Temperature Prediction Model of Molten Steel in RH-TOP Refining Process for IF Steel Production显示文摘In order to precisely control the final temperature of molten steel in RH (Ruhrstahl Heraeus)-TOP blowing refining, the final temperature prediction models of molten steel in RH-TOP blowing refining process for Interstitial Free (IF) steel production were established under the condition of oxygen blowing and non-oxygen blowing respectively. The results show that the beginning molten steel temperature of refining and the amount of added scrap were influential factors, the baking temperature in vacuum chamber was a factor that had small influence. When the model was operated, the hitting probability was above 95% (under the condition of both oxygen blowing and non-oxygen blowing) of prediction deviation of ±10 ℃. 18A triboelectric/electromagnetic hybrid generator for efficient wind energy collection and power supply for electronic devices显示文摘Harvesting energy from ambient environment has been considered as a promising strategy for driving portable electronic devices in a sustainable way. A wind driven triboelectric-electromagnetic hybrid nanogenerator has been fabricated to convert wind energy into electricity. It is composed of an electromagnetic generator(EMG) and a triboelectric nanogenerator(TENG) with the output power of 35 and 0.32 mW, respectively when the wind speed is 5 m/s. Generally, TENG shows a low current output with a high voltage output characteristic, on the contrary the EMG shows a high current output and a low voltage output. This hybrid nanogenerator overcomes these problems and exhibits comprehensive and efficient performance on scavenging energy.Moreover, in view of the output performance and charging ability of the hybrid nanogenerator, it shows high stability, making it suitable for charging capacitors or batteries and driving portable electronics sustainably. 20Effect of olfactory ensheathing cell transplantation on myelin repair and motor function in a rat model of experimental allergic encephalomyelitis显示文摘BACKGROUND:Olfactory ensheathing cell transplantation can activate axonal regeneration and enhance myelin repair,which are beneficial for treating demyelinating diseases. OBJECTIVE:To explore the effects of olfactory ensheathing cell transplantation on myelin repair, synaptophysin expression,and motor function in a rat model of experimental allergic encephalomyelitis. DESIGN,TIME AND SETTING:A randomized,controlled experiment was performed at the Laboratory of Provincial Hospital affiliated to Shandong University between August 2006 and September 2007. MATERIALS:Dibenzylamine(Hoechst 33342),luxol fast blue,and rabbit anti-rat synaptophysin antibody were provided by Sigma,USA. METHODS:Olfactory ensheathing cells extracted from neonatal Wistar rats were cultured for 10-14 days and labeled with dibenzylamine.Spinal cord extracted from a healthy guinea pig was homogenized and equally mixed with complete Freund's adjuvant;thereafter,the mixture was intracutaneously injected into two posterior voix pedis of healthy male Wistar rats to establish models of experimental allergic encephalomyelitis.Rats were randomly divided into a control encephalomyelitis group and an olfactory ensheathing cell transplantation group,36 rats in each group.Physiological saline(2μL) or an olfactory ensheathing cell suspension(2μL) was separately injected along lateral cerebral ventricle at day 7 post-model induction. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:The migration and distribution of olfactory ensheathing cells were observed under fluorescence microscopy;myelin repair was detected using hematoxylin-eosin staining and luxol fast blue staining;synaptophysin expression was measured using immunohistochemical staining;motor function was evaluated using a motor function scale. RESULTS:Olfactory ensheathing cells could survive in vivo and migrate to the distal end of the transplant focus and spinal cord,and survived 21 days.Hematoxylin-eosin staining and luxol fast blue staining indicated that myelin in the transplantation group was intact,and the inflammatory focus gradually disappeared.Transplantation increased synaptophysin expression(P<0.05 versus control) and motor function(P<0.05).
