| 1 | Geological characteristics and tectonic signifcance of unconformities in Mesoproterozoic successions in the northern margin of the North China Block显示文摘Several stratigraphic breaks and unconformities exist in the Mesoproterozoic successions in the northern margin of the North China Block.Geologic characters and spatial distributions of fve of these unconformities,which have resulted from different geological processes,have been studied.The unconformity beneath the Dahongyu Formation is interpreted as a breakup unconformity,representing the time of transition from continental rift to passive continental margin.The unconformities beneath the Gaoyuzhuang and the Yangzhuang formations are considered to be the consequence of regional eustatic fuctuations,leading to the exposure of highlands in passive margins during low sea-level stands and transgressive deposition on coastal regions during high sea-level stands.The unconformity atop the Tieling Formation might be caused by uplift due to contractional deformation in a back-arc setting,whereas the uplift after the deposition of the Xiamaling Formation might be attributed to a continental collision event.It is assumed that the occurrences of these unconformities in the Mesoproterozoic successions in the northern margin of the North China Block had a close bearing on the assemblage and breakup of the Columbia and Rodinia supercontinents. | Yongqiang Qu Jianguo Pan Shouxian Ma Zhiping Lei Lin Li Guoli Wu | 2014 | Geoscience Frontiers2014,5,1: | 7 |
| 2 | Numerical simulations of rip currents off arc-shaped coastlines显示文摘The rip currents induced by waves off arc-shaped coastlines are seriously harmful to humans, but understanding of their characteristics is lacking. In this study, the FUNWAVE model was used to calculate the wave-induced currents in the Haller experiment and the ideal arc-shaped coast similar to Sanya Dadonghai, Hainan Province,China. The results showed that the FUNWAVE model has considerable ability to simulate the rip currents, and it was used to further simulate rip currents off arc-shaped coastlines to investigate their characteristics. The rip currents were found to be stronger as the curvature of arc-shaped coastline increased. Coastal beach slope exerts a significant influence on rip currents; in particular, an overly steep or overly mild slope is not conducive to creating rip currents. Furthermore, the rip currents were found to become weaker as the size of arc-shaped coast decreased. | 4 | Evaluation of Low-Carbon Development of Chinese Cities in 2018显示文摘This paper evaluates the low-carbon development of 176 Chinese cities in 2018 using the Lowcarbon City Evaluation Indicator System developed by Research Institute for Eco-civilization,Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.The evaluation shows an overall improvement of lowcarbon development of cities in China,with 10 cities scoring 90 points and above,and 106 cities scoring 80–89 points.From the perspective of city category,the low-carbon development scores present an order as follows:service-oriented cities>comprehensive cities>ecology-prioritized cities>industrial cities.Geologically speaking,eastern cites perform best,western cities come second and central cities come last.Of the three batches of low-carbon city pilots,the scores follow the pattern of Batch 1>Batch 2>Batch 3.Most cities are characterized by high carbon consumption and reduced efforts in low-carbon management and capital investment.Finally,this paper proposes to attach more importance to low-carbon development and strengthen capacity building for low-carbon governance;intensify efforts for constructing low-carbon pilots in order to help achieve the goal of carbon emission peak during the“14th Five-Year Plan”period;and to improve the Low-carbon City Evaluation Indicator System. | CHEN Nan ZHUANG Guiyang ZHU Shouxian WANG Dong LI Jue | 2021 | Chinese Journal of Urban and Environmental Studies2021,9,1: | 1 |

| 8 | The proposal and realization on more exact modeling of COIL performance显示文摘The chemical oxygen–iodine laser(COIL)is the shortest-wavelength high-power chemical laser that has been demonstrated.The characteristics,such as good atmospheric propagation,short wavelength and excellent transmission through optical fibers,make the COIL a good candidate for high-power laser application.To model the complete COIL lasing interaction,a three-dimensional formulation of the fluid dynamics,species continuity and radiation transport equations is necessary.The computational effort to calculate the flow field over the entire nozzle bank with a grid fine enough to resolve the injection holes is so large as to preclude doing the calculation.The approach to modeling chemical lasers then has been to reduce the complexity of the model to correspond to the available computational capability,adding details as computing power increased.The modeling of lasing in the COIL medium is proposed,which is coupling with the effects induced by transverse injection of secondary gases,non-equilibrium chemical reactions,nozzle tail flow and boundary layer.The coupled steady solutions of the fluid dynamics and optics in a COIL complex three-dimensional cavity flow field are obtained following the proposal.The modeling results show that these effects have some influence on the lasing properties.A feasible methodology and a theoretical tool are offered to predict the beam quality for large-scale COIL devices. | Shouxian Li Xiaojian Shu Yanyi Du Hua Su Yan Li Zhen Yu | 2013 | High Power Laser Science and Engineering2013,1,1: | 0 |
| 9 | A new statistical model of wave heights based on the concept of wave breaking critical zone显示文摘When waves propagate from deep water to shallow water, wave heights and steepness increase and then waves roll back and break. This phenomenon is called surf. Currently, the present statistical calculation model of surf was derived mainly from the wave energy conservation equation and the linear wave dispersion relation, but it cannot reflect accurately the process which is a rapid increasing in wave height near the broken point. So, the concept of a surf breaking critical zone is presented. And the nearshore is divided as deep water zone, shallow water zone, surf breaking critical zone and after breaking zone. Besides, the calculation formula for the height of the surf breaking critical zone has founded based on flume experiments, thereby a new statistical calculation model on the surf has been established.
