Recent progress in methane dehydroaromatization: From laboratory curiosities to promising technology显示文摘Direct conversion of methane to benzene or other valuable chemicals is a very promising process for the efficient application of natural gas. Compared with conversion processes that require oxidants, non-oxidative direct conversion is more attractive due to high selectivity to the target product. In this paper, an alternative route for methane dehydrogenation and selective conversion to benzene and hydrogen without the participation of oxygen is discussed. A brief review of the catalysts used in methane dehydroaromatization (MDA) is first given, followed by our current understanding of the location and the active phase of Mo species, the reaction mechanism, the mechanism of carbonaceous deposit and the deactivation of Mo/zeolite catalysts are systematically discussed. Ways to improve the catalytic activity and stability are described in detail based on catalyst and reaction as well as reactor design. Future prospects for methane dehydroaromatization process are also presented.Shuqi Ma Xiaoguang Guo Lingxiao Zhao Susannah Scott Xinhe Bao 2013Journal of Energy Chemistry2013,22,1:17
Efficient one-pot synthesis of n-butyl levulinate from carbohydrates catalyzed by Fe_2(SO_4)_3显示文摘Butyl levulinate(BL) is a promising new candidate as diesel fuel and fuel additive. In this study, an efficient process for a one-pot synthesis of BL from biomass-derived carbohydrates in butanol medium with the catalysis of metal sulfates was developed. The catalytic activity of a series of metal sulfates for the synthesis of BL from fructose was investigated. Among various metal sulfates, ferric sulfate Fe_2(SO_4)_3 was found to be the most efficient catalyst, which gave a remarkably high BL yield of 62.8 mol% under the conditions of 463 K, 3 h, a catalyst dosage of 5.0 g/L, and fructose concentration of 25 g/L. Different carbohydrates including glucose, cellulose, inulin and sucrose were also used for one-pot synthesis of BL with the catalysis of Fe_2(SO_4)_3, showing the yields of 39.6, 30.5, 56.6 and 50.1 mol%, respectively. In addition, the recycling and reuse of Fe_2(SO_4)_3 was studied by characterizing them using powder X-ray diffraction(XRD), scanning electron microscope(SEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS). A plausible reaction pathway for the one-pot synthesis of BL from fructose was proposed. This study provides a facile and feasible way for the synthesis of BL from biomass.Ran An Guizhuan Xu Chun Chang Jing Bai Shuqi Fang 2017Journal of Energy Chemistry2017,26,3:8
Recent Advances of Persistent Luminescence Nanoparticles in Bioapplications显示文摘Persistent luminescence phosphors are a novel group of promising luminescent materials with afterglow properties after the stoppage of excitation. In the past decade, persistent luminescence nanoparticles(PLNPs)with intriguing optical properties have attracted a wide range of attention in various areas.Especially in recent years, the development and applications in biomedical fields have been widely explored.Owing to the efficient elimination of the autofluorescence interferences from biotissues and the ultra-long near-infrared afterglow emission, many researches have focused on the manipulation of PLNPs in biosensing, cell tracking, bioimaging and cancer therapy. These achievements stimulated the growing interest in designing new types of PLNPs with desired superior characteristics and multiple functions. In this review,we summarize the works on synthesis methods, bioapplications, biomembrane modification and biosafety of PLNPs and highlight the recent advances in biosensing, imaging and imaging-guided therapy. We further discuss the new types of PLNPs as a newly emerged class of functional biomaterials for multiple applications. Finally, the remaining problems and challenges are discussed with suggestions and prospects for potential future directions in the biomedical applications.Shuqi Wu Yang Li Weihang Ding Letong Xu Yuan Ma Lianbing Zhang 2020Nano-Micro Letters2020,12,6:8
Controllable optical activity with non-chiral plasmonic metasurfaces显示文摘Optical activity is the rotation of the plane of linearly polarized light along the propagation direction as the light travels through optically active materials. In existing methods, the strength of the optical activity is determined by the chirality of the materials, which is difficult to control quantitatively. Here we numerically and experimentally investigated an alternative approach to realize and control the optical activity with non-chiral plasmonic metasurfaces.Through judicious design of the structural units of the metasurfaces, the right and left circular polarization components of the linearly polarized light have different phase retardations after transmitting through the metasurfaces, leading to large optical activity. Moreover, the strength of the optical activity can be easily and accurately tuned by directly adjusting the phase difference. The proposed approach based on non-chiral plasmonic metasurfaces exhibits large optical activity with a high controllable degree of freedom, which may provide more possibilities for applications in photonics.Ping Yu Jianxiong Li Chengchun Tang Hua Cheng Zhaocheng Liu Zhancheng Li Zhe Liu Changzhi Gu Junjie Li Shuqi Chen Jianguo Tian 2016Light(Science & Applications)2016,5,1:8
The Influence of Extractable Organic Matter on Pore Development in the Late Triassic Chang 7 Lacustrine Shales, Yanchang Formation, Ordos Basin, China显示文摘To investigate the influence of extractable organic matter(EOM) on pore evolution of lacustrine shales, Soxhlet extraction, using dichloromethane, was performed on a series of Chang 7 shale samples(Ordos Basin, China) with vitrinite reflectance of 0.64% to 1.34%. Low-pressure gas adsorption experiments were conducted on the samples before and after extraction. The pore structure parameters were calculated from the gas adsorption data. The results show complex changes to the pore volumes and surface areas after extraction. The pore development of both the initial and extracted samples is strongly controlled by total organic carbon(TOC) content. Micropores developed mainly in organic matter(OM), while mesopores and macropores predominantly developed in fractions other than OM. The influence of EOM on micropores is stronger than on mesopores and macropores. Organic solvents with a higher boiling point should be used to explore the effect of EOM on pore structure in the future.HAN Hui LIU Pengwei DING Zhengang SHI Pitong JIA Jianchao ZHANG Wei LIU Yan CHEN Shijia LU Jungang Chen Kang PENG Xudong WANG Zhiyong XIAO Shuqi GAO Yuans 2018Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2018,92,4:8
Host metabolism dysregulation and cell tropism identification in human airway and alveolar organoids upon SARS-CoV-2 infection显示文摘The coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic is caused by infection with the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2),which is spread primary via respiratory droplets and infects the lungs.Currently widely used cell lines and animals are unable to accurately mimic human physiological conditions because of the abnormal status of cell lines(transformed or cancer cells)and species differences between animals and humans.Organoids are stem cell-derived selforganized three-dimensional culture in vitro and model the physiological conditions of natural organs. Here we showed that SARS-CoV-2 infected and extensively replicated in human embryonic stem cells(hESCs)-derived lung organoids, including airway and alveolar organoids which covered the complete infection and spread route for SARS-CoV-2 within lungs. The infected ceils were ciliated, club, and alveolar type 2(AT2)cells,which were sequentially located from the proximal to the distal airway and terminal alveoli,respectively.Additionally,RNA-seq revealed early cell response to virus infection including an unexpected downregulation of the metabolic processes, especially lipid metabolism,in addition to the well-known upregulation of immune response.Further,Remdesivir and a human neutralizing antibody potently inhibited SARS-CoV-2 replication in lung organoids. Therefore, human lung organoids can serve as a pathophysiological model to investigate the underlying mechanism of SARS-CoV-2 infection and to discover and test therapeutic drugs for COVID-19.Rongjuan Pei Jianqi Feng Yecheng Zhang Hao Sun Lian Li Xuejie Yang Jiangping He Shuqi Xiao Jin Xiong Ying Lin Kun Wen Hongwei Zhou Jiekai Chen Zhili Rong Xinwen Chen 2021Protein & Cell2021,12,9:7
In vitro effect of iASPP on cell growth of oral tongue squamous cell carcinoma显示文摘iASPP is an inhibitory member of the apoptosis-stimulating proteins of P53(ASPP) family. iASPP is over expressed in several malignant tumors and potentially affects cancer progression. However, the expression and potential role of iASPP in oral tongue squamous cell carcinoma(OTSCC) have not been addressed. In our study, we detected iASPP expression in OTSCC by immunohistochemistry. iASPP expression is up-regulated in OTSCC tissues. Moreover, in clinical pathology specimens, we found that increased iASPP expression correlates with poor differentiation and lymph node metastasis. Using multicellular tumor spheroids(MTS) and flow cytometry, we demonstrated that iASPP down-regulation arrests OTSCC cells at the G0/G1 phase, induces OTSCC cell apoptosis and inhibits OTSCC cell proliferation. These results indicate that iASPP plays a significant role in the progression of OTSCC and may serve as a biomarker or therapeutic target for OTSCC patients.Yu Chen Wangxiang Yan Shuqi He Jiechun Chen Dan Chen Zhaoqiang Zhang Zhiguo Liu Xueqiang Ding Anxun Wang 2014Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2014,26,4:7
Multidimensional manipulation of wave fields based on artificial microstructures显示文摘Artificial microstructures, which allow us to control and change the properties of wave fields through changing the geometrical parameters and the arrangements of microstructures, have attracted plenty of attentions in the past few decades. Some artificial microstructure based research areas, such as metamaterials, metasurfaces and phononic topological insulators, have seen numerous novel applications and phenomena. The manipulation of different dimensions(phase, amplitude, frequency or polarization)of wave fields, particularly, can be easily achieved at subwavelength scales by metasurfaces. In this review,we focus on the recent developments of wave field manipulations based on artificial microstructures and classify some important applications from the viewpoint of different dimensional manipulations of wave fields. The development tendency of wave field manipulation from single-dimension to multidimensions provides a useful guide for researchers to realize miniaturized and integrated optical and acoustic devices.Yuebian Zhang Hui Liu Hua Cheng Jianguo Tian Shuqi Chen 2020Opto-Electronic Advances2020,3,11:7
Control mechanism and technique of floor heave with reinforcing solid coal side and floor corner in gob-side coal entry retaining显示文摘Floor heave is the most common convergence in gob-side entry retaining. The paper analyzes the form, process and characteristics of gob-side entry retaining with the comprehensive methods of theoretical analysis, numerical simulation and the field trial.Research results present that bending and folding floor heave is the main factor in the stage of the first panel mining;squeezing and fluidity floor heave plays a great role in the stable stage of gob-side entry retaining;the combination of the former two factors affects mainly the stage of the second mining ahead;abutment pressure is a fundamental contribution to the serious floor heave of gob-side entry retaining, and sides corners of solid coal body are key part in the case of floor heave controlling of gob-side entry retaining.Floor heave of gob-side entry retaining can be significantly controlled by reinforcing sides and corners of solid coal body, and influence rules on the floor heave of gob side entry retaining of sides supporting strength and the bottom bolt orientation in solid coal side are obtained.Research results have been successfully applied in gob-side entry retaining of G20-F23070 face haulage roadway in #2 coal mine of Pingmei Group, and the field observation shows that the proposed technique is an effective way in controlling the floor heave of gob-side entry retaining.Chen Yong Bai Jianbiao Yan Shuai Xu Ying Wang Xiangyu Ma Shuqi 2012International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2012,22,6:6
Methane dehydroaromatization with periodic CH_4-H_2 switch:A promising process for aromatics and hydrogen显示文摘Long-term stability test of Mo/HZSM-5-N catalysts(HZSM-5-N stands for nano-sized HZSM-5) in methane dehydroaromatization(MDA)reaction has been performed with periodic CH4-H2 switch at 1033-1073 K for more than 1000 h.During this test, methane conversion ranges from 13% to 16%,and mean yield to aromatics(i.e.benzene and naphthalene) exceeds 10%.N2-physisorption,XRD,NMR and TPO measurements were performed for the used Mo/HZSM-5 catalysts and coke deposition, and the results revealed that the periodic hydrogenation can effectively suppress coke deposition by removing the inert aromatic-type coke, thus ensuring Mo/HZSM-5 partly maintained its activity even in the presence of large amount of coke deposition. The effect of zeolite particle size on the catalytic activity was also explored, and the results showed that the nano-sized zeolite with low diffusion resistance performed better. It is recognized that the size effect was enhanced by reaction time, and it became more remarkable in a long-term MDA reaction even at a low space velocity.Changyong Sun Guangzong Fang Xiaoguang Guo Yuanli Hu Shuqi Ma Tianhua Yang Jie Han Hao Ma Dali Tan Xinhe Bao 2015Journal of Energy Chemistry2015,24,3:6
Induction of seed germination in Orobanche spp.by extracts of traditional Chinese medicinal herbs显示文摘The co-evolution of Orobanche spp.and their hosts within the same environment has resulted in a high degree of adaptation and effective parasitism whereby the host releases parasite germination stimulants, which are likely to be unstable in the soil. Our objective was to investigate whether extracts from non-host plants, specifically,Chinese medicinal plants, could stimulate germination of Orobanche spp.Samples of 606 Chinese medicinal herb species were extracted with deionized water and methanol. The extracts were used to induce germination of three Orobanche species;Orobanche minor,Orobanche cumana, and Orobanche aegyptiaca.O.minor exhibited a wide range of germination responses to the various herbal extracts.O.cumana and O.aegyptiaca exhibited an intermediate germination response to the herbal extracts.O.minor,which has a narrow host spectrum, showed higher germination rates in response to different herbal extracts compared with those of O.cumana and O.aegyptiaca, which have a broader host spectrum.Methanolic extracts of many Chinese herbal species effectively stimulated seed germination among the Orobanche spp.,even though they were not the typical hosts. The effective herbs represent interesting examples of potential trap crops.Different countries can also screen extracts from indigenous herbaceous plants for their ability to induce germination of Orobanche spp.seeds.The use of such species as trap plants could diminish the global soil seed bank of Orobanche.MA YongQing ZHANG Wei DONG ShuQi REN XiangXiang AN Yu LANG Ming 2012Science China(Life Sciences)2012,55,3:6
Static and dynamic finite element analysis of 304 stainless steel rod and wire hot continuous rolling process显示文摘Three-dimensional finite element models were developed to analyze 304 stainless steel rod and wire hot continuous rolling process with the help of MSC.Marc software. The entire 30-pass deformation process and the actual parameters of production line were taken into account.Static and dynamic procedures were used to study the continuous rolling process with the aid of the thermo-mechanical coupled FEM of elastic-plasticity.The properties of billets, such as deformation, temperature field and rolling force, were mainly discussed. The simulation results of temperature agree well with the measured values.Comparisons of the analy- sis results obtained using static implicit method and dynamic implicit method were presented. It is shown that static implicit proce- dure is more accurate than dynamic implicit procedure and is able to simulate the rolling process with a lower speed, such as a rough- ing mill.Whereas, dynamic analysis shows a higher efficiency than static analysis and is fit for simulating the rolling process with a higher speed, such as a finishing mill.Siyu Yuan Liwen Zhang Shulun Liao Mao Li Min Qi Yu Zhen Shuqi Guo 2008Journal of University of Science and Technology Beijing2008,15,3:5
The contribution of small and large sensory afferents to postural control in patients with peripheral neuropathy显示文摘Peripheral neuropathy(PN) is a multifarious disorder that is caused by damage to the peripheral nerves. Although the symptoms of PN vary with the etiology, most cases are characterized by impaired tactile and proprioceptive sensation that progresses in a distal to proximal manner. Balance also tends to deteriorate as the disorder becomes more severe, and those afflicted are substantially more likely to fall while walking compared with those who are healthy. Most patients with PN walk more cautiously and with greater stride variability than age-matched controls, but the majority of their falls occur when they must react to a perturbation such as a slippery or uneven surface. The purpose of this study was to first describe the role of somatosensory feedback in the control of posture and then discuss how that relationship is typically affected by the most common types of PN. A comprehensive review of the scientific literature was conducted using MEDLINE, and the relevant information was synthesized. The evidence indicates that the proprioceptive feedback that is conveyed primarily through larger type I afferents is important for postural control. However, the evidence indicates that the tactile feedback communicated through smaller type II afferents is particularly critical to the maintenance of balance. Many forms of PN often lead to chronic tactile desensitization in the soles of the feet and, although the central nervous system seems to adapt to this smaller type II afferent dysfunction by relying on more larger type I afferent reflex loops, the result is still decreased stability. We propose a model that is intended both to help explain the relationship between stability and the smaller type II afferent and the larger type I afferent feedback that may be impaired by PN and to assist in the development of pertinent rehabilitative interventions.Li Li Shuqi Zhang John Dobson 2019Journal of Sport and Health Science2019,8,3:5
Optical Micro/Nano Fibers Enabled Smart Textiles for Human-Machine Interface显示文摘Wearable human-machine interface(HMI)is an advanced technology that has a wide range of applications from robotics to augmented/virtual reality(AR/VR).In this study,an optically driven wearable human-interactive smart textile is proposed by integrating a polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS)patch embedded with optical micro/nanofibers(MNF)array with a piece of textiles.Enabled by the highly sensitive pressure dependent bending loss of MNF,the smart textile shows high sensitivity(65.5 kPa^(−1))and fast response(25 ms)for touch sensing.Benefiting from the warp and weft structure of the textile, the optical smart textile can feel slight finger slip along the MNF.Furthermore, machine learning is utilized to classify the touch manners, achieving a recognition accuracy as high as 98.1%.As a proof-of-concept,a remote-control robotic hand and a smart interactive doll are demonstrated based on the optical smart textile. This optical smart textile represents an ideal HMI for AR/VR and robotics applications.Shuqi Ma Xiaoyu Wang Pan Li Ni Yao Jianliang Xiao Haitao Liu Zhang Zhang Longteng Yu Guangming Tao Xiong Li Limin Tong Lei Zhang 2022Advanced Fiber Materials2022,4,5:5
Free longitudinal vibrations of non-uniform rods显示文摘Free longitudinal vibrations of non-uniform rods are investigated by a proposed method, which results in a series solution. In a special case, with the proposed method an exact solution with a concise form can be obtained, which imply four types of profiles with variation in geometry or material properties. However, the WKB (Wentzel-Kramers-Brillouin) method leads to a series solution, which is a Taylor expansion of the results of the proposed method. For the arbitrary non-uniform rods, the comparison indicates that the WKB method is simpler, but the convergent speed of the series solution resulting from the pro-posed method is faster than that of the WKB method, which is also validated numerically using an exact solution of a kind of non-uniform rods with Kummer functions.GUO ShuQi YANG ShaoPu 2011Science China(Technological Sciences)2011,54,10:5
Generalized ordered weighted averaging operators based methods for MADM in intuitionistic fuzzy set setting显示文摘Multiattribute decision making(MADM) problems, in which the weights and ratings of alternatives are expressed with intuitionistic fuzzy(IF) sets, are investigated.Firstly, the relative degrees of membership and the relative degrees of non-membership are formulated as IF sets, the weights and values of alternatives on both qualitative and quantitative attributes may be expressed as IF sets in a unified way. Then a MADM method based on generalized ordered weighted averaging operators is proposed. The proposed method is illustrated with a numerical example.Wang Shuqi Li Dengfeng Wu Zhiqian 2009Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2009,20,6:4
Highly Selective Biomimetic Flexible Tactile Sensor for Neuroprosthetics显示文摘Biomimetic flexible tactile sensors endow prosthetics with the ability to manipulate objects, similar to human hands. However,it is still a great challenge to selectively respond to static and sliding friction forces, which is crucial tactile information relevant to the perception of weight and slippage during grasps. Here, inspired by the structure of fingerprints and the selective response of Ruffini endings to friction forces,we developed a biomimetic flexible capacitive sensor to selectively detect static and sliding friction forces. The sensor is designed as a novel plane-parallel capacitor,in which silver nanowire-3D polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS)electrodes are placed in a spiral configuration and set perpendicular to the substrate.Silver nanowires are uniformly distributed on the surfaces of 3D polydimethylsiloxane microcolumns, and silicon rubber(Ecoflex^(■))acts as the dielectric material. The capacitance of the sensor remains nearly constant under different applied normal forces but increases with the static friction force and decreases when sliding occurs.Furthermore, aiming at the slippage perception of neuroprosthetics,a custom-designed signal encoding circuit was designed to transform the capacitance signal into a bionic pulsed signal modulated by the applied sliding friction force.Test results demonstrate the great potential of the novel biomimetic flexible sensors with directional and dynamic sensitivity of haptic force for smart neuroprosthetics.Yue Li Zhiguang Cao Tie Li Fuqin Sun Yuanyuan Bai Qifeng Lu Shuqi Wang Xianqing Yang Manzhao Hao Ning Lan Ting Zhang 2020Research2020,,1:4

Naringenin is a Potential Immunomodulator for Inhibiting Liver Fibrosis by Inhibiting the cGAS-STING Pathway显示文摘Background and Aims:Naringenin is an anti-inflammatory flavonoid that has been studied in chronic liver disease. The mechanism specific to its antifibrosis activity needs further investigation This study was to focused on the cyclic guanosine monophosphate-adenosine monophosphate synthase(cGAS)pathway in hepatic stellate cells and clarified the antifibrosis mechanism of naringenin. Methods:The relationship between the cGAS-stimulator of interferon genes(STING)pathway and liver fibrosis was analyzed using the Gene Expression Omnibus database.Histopathology, immunohistochemistry, fluorescence staining,Western blotting and polymerase chain reaction were performed to assess gene and protein expression levels associated with the cGAS pathway in clinical liver tissue samples and mouse livers.Molecular docking was performed to evaluate the relationship between naringenin and cGAS,and western blotting was performed to study the expression of inflammatory factors downstream of cGAS in vitro. Results:Clinical database analyses showed that the cGAS-STING pathway is involved in the occurrence of chronic liver disease.Naringenin ameliorated liver injury and liver fibrosis, decreased collagen deposition and cGAS expression, and inhibited inflammation in carbon tetrachloride(CCl4)-treated mice.Molecular docking found that cGAS may be a direct target of naringenin.Consistent with the in vivo results,we verified the inhibitory effect of naringenin on activated hepatic stellate cells(HSCs).By using the cGAS-specific agonist double-stranded(ds)DNA,we showed that naringenin attenuated the activation of cGAS and its inflammatory factors affected by dsDNA.We verified that naringenin inhibited the cGAS-STING pathway, thereby reducing the secretion of inflammatory factors by HSCs to ameliorate liver fibrosis. Conclusions:Interrupting the cGAS-STING pathway helped reverse the fibrosis process.Naringenin has potential as an antihepatic fibrosis drug.Li Chen Siwei Xia Shuqi Wang Yuanyuan Zhou Feixia Wang Zhanghao Li Yang Li Desong Kong Zili Zhang Jiangjuan Shao Xuefen Xu Feng Zhang Shizhong Zheng 2023Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology2023,11,1:3
The osmolyte-producing endophyte Streptomyces albidoflavus OsiLf-2 induces drought and salt tolerance in rice via a multi-level mechanism显示文摘Drought and salinity are major environmental stresses that impair crop growth and productivity worldwide. Improving drought and salt tolerance of crops with microbial mutualists is an effective and environmentally sound strategy to meet the demands of the ever-growing world population. In the present study, we found that the Streptomyces albidoflavus Osi Lf-2, a moderately salt-tolerant endophytic actinomycete, produced abundant osmolytes, including proline, polysaccharides, and ectoine. Inoculation with Osi Lf-2 increased the osmotic-adjustment ability of the rice host by increasing the proline content(by250.3% and 49.4%) and soluble sugar(by 20.9% and 49.4%) in rice under drought and salt conditions, relative to the uninoculated control. Osi Lf-2 increased stress responses in the rice host at the physiological and biochemical levels(photosynthesis efficiency, osmolytes and antioxidant content), and the gene level(osmolytes synthesis, stress-responsive and ion-transport related genes), raising rice yields under both greenhouse and saline–alkaline soil conditions. The use of endophytic actinomycetes offers a promising biotechnological approach to developing stress-tolerant plants.Shuqi Niu Yan Gao Huixian Zi Ying Liu Xuanming Liu Xianqiu Xiong Qingqing Yao Ziwei Qin Ning Chen Liang Guo Yuanzhu Yang Peng Qin Jianzhong Lin Yonghua Zhu 2022The Crop Journal2022,10,2:3
