1Effects of annexins II and V on survival of neurons and astrocytes in υitro显示文摘AIM: To study the effects of annexins II and V on the survival and neurite outgrowth of primary cultured neuronsand the survival of astrocytes after peroxide and hypoxia insults in vitro. METHODS: Annexins II and V proteinsand/or corresponding antibodies were added to the medium of primary neocortical cultures. H2O2 and NaN3 wereused to induce neuron injury, respectively. Lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) release was measured. RESULTS:Addition of annexin II or V into the culture medium did not affect the normal survival and neurite outgrowth ofcortical neurons. However, when an antibody against annexin II or V was added to the culture, the survival andneurite outgrowth of these neurons markedly declined. Further, addition of the two annexins into cortical culturesafter peroxide and hypoxia insults markedly reduced the LDH release and cell death. 2Optimization of Rural Settlement Distributions Based On the Ecological Security Pattern: A Case Study of Da’an City in Jilin Province of China显示文摘Following the trends of Chinese rural transformation development, and the sustainable development goals for resources and environment, reasonable arranging the potential development space and the ecological space, so as to optimize the distributions of rural settlement would be the key challenge for rural areas in ecologically fragile regions. From the perspective of maintaining regional ecological security, this paper takes Da’an City, a typical ecological fragile region in Jilin Province, as the case area, constructing the comprehensive ecological security pattern(ESP) on basis of landscape ecology, and applying the landscape pattern indexes to quantitative analysis the spatial distribution characteristics of rural settlements. Then, different optimization directions and management strategies are put forward for rural settlements in each secure zone under the comprehensive ESP. The experimental results showed that 1) the area of the low security zone, the general security zone, the moderate security zone and the extreme security zone was 1570.18 km^2, 1463.36 km^2, 1215.80 km^2 and 629.77 km^2, representing 32.18%, 29.99%, 24.92% and 12.91% of the total area of the target area, respectively. 2) The rural settlements in Da’an City were characterized by a high degree of fragmentation with a large number of small-scale patches. 3) The area of rural settlements in the ecological relocation zone, the in situ remediation zone, the limited development zone and the key development zone was 22.80 km^2, 42.31 km^2, 36.28 km^2 and 19.40 km^2, accounting for 18.88%, 35.03%, 30.04% and 16.06% of the total area of rural settlements, respectively. Then, different measures were proposed for settlements in different optimization zones in order to scientifically plan important ecological space, production space and living space in rural areas. 3Fine particulate matter(PM_(2.5)/PM_(1.0)) in Beijing,China: Variations and chemical compositions as well as sources显示文摘Particulate matter(i.e.,PM_(1.0) and PM_(2.5)),considered as the key atmospheric pollutants,exerts negative effects on visibility,global climate,and human health by associated chemical compositions.However,our understanding of PM and its chemical compositions in Beijing under the current atmospheric environment is still not complete after witnessing marked alleviation during 2013–2017.Continuous measurements can be crucial for further air quality improvement by better characterizing PM pollution and chemical compositions in Beijing.Here,we conducted simultaneous measurements on PM in Beijing during 2018–2019.Results indicate that annualmean PM_(1.0) and PM_(2.5) concentrations were 35.49±18.61μg/m^(3) and 66.58±60.17μg/m^(3),showing a positive response to emission controls.The contribution of sulfate,nitrate,and ammonium(SNA)played an enhanced role with elevated PM loading and acted as the main contributors to pollution episodes.Discrepancies observed among chemical species between PM_(1.0) and PM_(2.5) in spring suggest that sand particles trend to accumulate in the range of 1–2.5μm.Pollution episodes occurred accompanied with southerly clusters and high formation of SNA by heterogeneous reactions in summer and winter,respectively.Results from positive matrix factorization(PMF)combined with potential source contribution function(PSCF)models showed that potential areas were seasonal dependent,secondary and vehicular sources became much more important compared with previous studies in Beijing.Our study presented a continuous investigation on PM and sources origins in Beijing,which provides a better understanding for further emission control as well as a reference for other cities in developing countries.Lining Luo Xiaoxuan Bai Shuhan Liu Bobo Wu Wei Liu Yunqian Lv Zhihui Guo Shumin Lin Shuang Zhao Yan Hao Jiming Hao Kai Zhang Aihua Zheng Hezhong Tian 2022Journal of Environmental Sciences2022,34,11:3

5Using an image segmentation and support vector machine method for identifying two locust species and instars显示文摘Locusts are agricultural pests around the world. To cognize how locust distribution density and community structure are related to the hydrothermal and vegetation growth conditions of their habitats and thereby providing rapid and accurate warning of locust invasions, it is important to develop efficient and accurate techniques for acquiring locust information. In this paper, by analyzing the differences between the morphological features of Locusta migratoria manilensis and Oedaleus decorus asiaticus, we proposed a semi-automatic locust species and instar information detection model based on locust image segmentation, locust feature variable extraction and support vector machine(SVM) classification. And we subsequently examined its applicability and accuracy based on sample image data acquired in the field. Locust image segmentation experiment showed that the proposed GrabCut-based interactive segmentation method can be used to rapidly extract images of various locust body parts and exhibits excellent operability. In a locust feature variable extraction experiment, the textural, color and morphological features of various locust body parts were calculated. Based on the results, eight feature variables were selected to identify locust species and instars using outlier detection, variable function calculation and principal component analysis. An SVM-based locust classification experiment achieved a semi-automatic detection accuracy of 96.16% when a polynomial kernel function with a penalty factor parameter c of 2 040 and a gamma parameter g of 0.5 was used. 6A Quantification of the Effects of Erosion on the Productivity of Purple Soils显示文摘Research on the effects of soil erosion on soil productivity has attracted increasing attention.Purple soil is one of the main soil types in China and plays an important role in the national economy.However,the relationship between erosion and the productivity of purple soils has not been well studied.The purpose of this research was to determine if soil depth,which is dependent on the rate of erosion,has an influence on crop yield and growth.Plot and pot experiments at different soil depths were performed.Results indicate that soils from different parental materials had different growth features and crop yields due to the differential fertility of the derived soils.The yield reduction rate increases exponentially with the depth of eroded soil(level of erosion).The yield reduction rate per unit eroded soil horizon(10 cm) is approximately 10.5% for maize and wheat.ZHAO Li JIN Jie DU Shuhan LIU Gangcai 2012Journal of Mountain Science2012,9,1:2
7Spatial and Temporal Evolution Characteristics of PM2.5 in China from 1998 to 2016显示文摘The rapid development of China’s economy and urbanization has given rise to noticeable environmental problems,among which the change of air quality has received extensive attention.The panel data of PM2.5(particles with an aerodynamic diameter of 2.5μm or less)in 343 prefecture-level cities in China from 1998 to 2016 were statistically analyzed to reveal the characteristics of the temporal evolution and spatial variation of China’s air quality in the past two decades.The results show that:1)the overall deterioration trend of air quality is obvious throughout the country.The variation trend of PM2.5 was divided into three phases:rapid-growth phase(1998–2007),lag phase(2006–2011)and mildly-incremental phase(2012–2016),with their average growth rates of 7.19%,-3.59%and 0.52%,respectively.2)The spatial difference of PM2.5 values in China increased significantly with time.Since 2003,the high-value area in the east has expanded rapidly,and polarization became much more pronounced.The change rate of PM2.5 is high in the east and west and low in the middle.The change rates of most areas in the west exceed more than 80%,and in the east lie somewhere between 40%and 60%.In the midlands,the change rate is not large and some regions even show a negative growth.3)The change rate of PM2.5 is also high in areas with higher values.However,in regions where the change rate of PM2.5 is high,the value of PM2.5 is not always high.The high change rate is mainly attributable to the low base value of PM2.5 and the cities concerned belong to sensitive areas.4)According to the PM2.5 warning index,the number of strong,medium,weak and non-warning areas in China is 45,85,159 and 54,respectively.LI Hua TONG Helong WU Xianhua LU Xiaoli MENG Shuhan 2020Chinese Geographical Science2020,30,6:2
8Analysis of oral microorganism diversity in healthy individuals before and after chewing areca nuts using PCR-denatured gradient gel electrophoresis显示文摘To analyze oral microbial diversity in the saliva of 8 healthy individuals before and after chewing areca nuts. Saliva samples were collected before chewing areca nuts, after chewing areca nuts for 5 min and after chewing areca nuts for 30 min. DNA was extracted, and microbial diversity was examined using PCR-denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis(PCR-DGGE). When examining DGGE profiles collectively,the bands associated with Streptococcus and Veillonella were the most intense, making them the most prevalent bacteria. Furthermore, the band intensities did not decrease after chewing areca nuts for 5 or30 min; thus, these bacteria were unaffected. However, when examining some individuals, the band intensities for Streptococcus and Veillonella became more intense after 5 min of chewing and then returned to the pre-chewing level. This difference may be attributed to the mechanical movements of the oral cavity or individual differences. 10FeeNeC single atom nanozymes with dual enzyme-mimicking activities for colorimetric detection of hydrogen peroxide and glutathione显示文摘H_(2)O_(2) and glutathione(GSH)are critical redox molecules in the organism.Abnormal levels of cellular H_(2)O_(2) and GSH are closely related to some diseases.Thus,it is imperative to detect H_(2)O_(2) and GSH effi-ciently.In this work,FeeNeC single atom nanozymes(SANs)with both peroxidase and oxidasemimicking activities were successfully prepared with the help of formamide condensation by one-step hydrothermal method.The FeeNeC SANs show excellent peroxidase-like activity,which possess a higher affinity for H_(2)O_(2) and 3,30,5,50-tetramethylbenzidine(TMB)than horseradish peroxidase(HRP).Then,based on the chromogenic reaction of TMB,a colorimetric biosensor to detect H_(2)O_(2) and GSH was developed.This biosensor has the linear ranges of 10-600 mmol/L for H_(2)O_(2) with a low detection limit of 4.360 mmol/L and 100-400 mmol/L for GSH with a low detection limit of 78.33 mmol/L.Besides,this colorimetric biosensor exhibited a good recovery of H_(2)O_(2) and GSH in diluted human serum.Finally,the FeeNeC SANs were encapsulated into agar gel to self-quantitatively detect GSH by naked eyes.This work provides a non-pyrolytic way to prepare SANs,which broadens the synthetic method of SANs and may promote the development of SANs for biosensor application.Wei Lu Shuhan Chen Haifeng Zhang Jiajun Qiu Xuanyong Liu 2022Journal of Materiomics2022,8,6:2
11Stability of Land-use/Land-cover in National Nature Reserves of Jilin Province, China显示文摘National nature reserves are an important part of classification management on ecological protection in China. Taking the national nature reserves of Jilin Province as examples, this paper introduced the stability index by referring to the intensity model of landuse and land-cover change(LUCC), and analyzed the overall stability of land-use and land-cover(LULC) in the study area from the time interval level and land category level. The stability of LULC in different types of nature reserves was tracked and identified by extracting land-use change trajectory, and the land-use change trajectory was divided into three types: stable type, sub-stable type and unstable type. The impact of LUCC on regional ecosystem services was studied by using hotspot analysis and gravity center analysis. The results showed that: 1) The LULC in the study area was stable on the whole, and the proportion of stable land area reached 86.08%. The intensity of LUCC showed an increasing trend in recent 20 years, and the conversion of cultivated land and construction land was active in continuous time interval. 2) The stability of LULC in forest ecological reserves and wildlife reserves in the eastern part of Jilin Province was the highest, while that in inland wetland reserves and geological relic reserves in the central and western part of Jilin Province was lower.3) The LUCC in national nature reserves not only changed the value of its own ecosystem service function, but also affected the ecosystem service function of the whole region. 12Ferric oxide nanosheet-engineered Mg alloy for synergetic osteosarcoma photothermal/chemodynamic therapy显示文摘Osteosarcoma(OS)is a malignant tumor with a high rate of recurrence.Recently,biodegradable Mg-based implants have become a new therapeutic platform for bone-related diseases.However,poor biosafety and deficient intelligent tumor-killing ability of Mg-based implants are still the main challenges for the pre-cise treatment of OS.Herein,based on the excellent catalytic and photothermal conversion properties of nanozyme ferric oxide(Fe_(3)O_(4)),a novel two-step hydrothermal method for in situ preparation of Fe_(3)O_(4)nanosheets on the surface of plasma electrolytic oxidation(PEO)-treated Mg alloy using Mg-Fe layered double hydroxides(Mg-Fe LDH)as precursor was proposed.Compared with Mg alloy,there were no obvious corrosion cracks on the surface of Fe_(3)O_(4)nanosheets-coated Mg alloy(Fe_(3)O_(4)-NS)immersed in 0.9 wt.%NaCl for 14 days,which demonstrated the corrosion resistance of Mg alloy was significantly enhanced.Cytocompatibility experiments and hemolysis assay confirmed the great biocompatibility of Fe_(3)O_(4)-NS,especially,hemolysis ratio was lower than 1%.Meanwhile,Fe_(3)O_(4)-NS presented excellent cat-alytic oxidation capacity in the presence of H_(2)O_(2),and its temperature can significantly increase from 27℃to approximately 56℃under NIR irradiation.Therefore,intelligent responsive Fe_(3)O_(4)nanosheets-engineered Mg-based implants demonstrated excellent antitumor properties in vivo and in vitro due to their photothermal and chemodynamic synergetic effects.This study provides a novel approach for the preparation of Fe_(3)O_(4)coatings on the surface of Mg alloys and a new strategy for the treatment of OS.Huihui Du Dongdong Zhang Ru Xu Juning Xie Shiwei Guan Shuhan Chen Feng Peng Shi Qian Xuanyong Liu 2023Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,7:2
13A Dynamic Model for Simulating Atmospheric, Surface and Soil Water interactions in Hillslope of Loess Area Under Natural Conditions and Its Application显示文摘The mechanism of atmospheric, surface and soil water interactions (water transformation) in hillslope under natural conditions was analyzed, and a dynamic model was developed to simulate infiltration, overland flow and soil water movement during natural rainfall in hillslope, by bringing forward concepts such. as rainfall intensity on slope and a correction coefficient of saturated soil water content for soil surface seal. Some factors, including slope angle, slope orientation and raindrop inclination, which affect the rainfall amount on slope, were taken into account while developing the dynamic model. The effect of surface seal on infiltration and water balance under a boundary condition of the second kind was also considered. 14Zinc-based metal organic framework with antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties for promoting wound healing显示文摘The synergistic effect of antibacterial and anti-inflammatory is needed to overcome the problem of wound healing difficulties.Based on the favorable antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effect of zinc ions(Zn^(2+))and the physicochemical properties of metal organic frameworks(MOFs),we prepared nanosized zinc-based MOF:Zn-BTC with the ability to slowly release Zn^(2+).In cellular levels,Zn-BTC possessed lower toxicity to fibroblasts and enhanced capacity of cell proliferation and migration.It also had good bactericidal effect on multiple drug-resistant bacteria by reducing 41.4%MRSA and 47.2%Escherichia coli.In addition,Zn-BTC also displayed the ability of lowering the expression of antioxidant genes:superoxide dismutase 1,superoxide dismutase 2 and interleukin 6,and enhancing the expression of wound healing genes:transforming growth factors-b and type I collagen.Finally,it also demonstrated that Zn-BTC could effectively improve the skin wound healing of SD rats and had no toxicity on major organs.The favorable biocompatibility,antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties of Zn-BTC gave a new insight of designing novel MOFs for promoting skin wound healing.Yuting Chen Jinhong Cai Dachang Liu Shuhan Liu Doudou Lei Li Zheng Qingjun Wei Ming Gao 2022Regenerative Biomaterials2022,9,1:2
15Supramolecular Prodrug Micelles Constructed by Drug-Drug Conjugate with Water Soluble Pillar[6]arene for Controllable and Rapid Drug Release显示文摘The first attempt of constructing supramolecular prodrug micelles based on the host-guest interaction between water-soluble pillar[6]arene(WP6)and a novel doxorubicin(DOX)-based drug-drug conjugate(G)is reported,in which the drug-drug conjugate is synthesized by conjugating anticancer drug DOX with another drug isoniazide via the acid-cleavable hydrazone bond.The obtained WP6⊃G micelles are stable under physiological conditions,whereas the cumulative release of DOX is approximate to 100%within 30 min at pH 5.5 by simulating the endo-lysosomal environment at 37℃.Therefore,this WP6-based prodrug micelles can achieve efficient DOX ac-cumulation in the acidic tumor cells within a short period of time,which is very important and valuable;meanwhile it can also reduce the unexpected premature burst release under physiological condition.Furthermore,cellular in-ternalization and localization experiments demonstrated that these prodrug micelles enter cancer cells mainly via endocytosis and can lead to significant drug accumulation in SKOV3 cancer cells,implying its promising future for cancer therapy.Yu Cao Xiaochun Zou Shuhan Xiong Yan Li Yingzhong Shen Xiaoyu Hu Leyong Wang 2015Chinese Journal of Chemistry2015,33,3:2
16Geographic,Geometrical and Semantic Reconstruction of Urban Scene from High Resolution Oblique Aerial Images显示文摘An effective approach is proposed for 3D urban scene reconstruction in the form of point cloud with semantic labeling. Starting from high resolution oblique aerial images,our approach proceeds through three main stages: geographic reconstruction, geometrical reconstruction and semantic reconstruction. The absolute position and orientation of all the cameras relative to the real world are recovered in the geographic reconstruction stage. Then, in the geometrical reconstruction stage,an improved multi-view stereo matching method is employed to produce 3D dense points with color and normal information by taking into account the prior knowledge of aerial imagery.Finally the point cloud is classified into three classes(building,vegetation, and ground) by a rule-based hierarchical approach in the semantic reconstruction step. 19A Novel Bidirectional LSTM and Attention Mechanism Based Neural Network for Answer Selection in Community Question Answering显示文摘Deep learning models have been shown to have great advantages in answer selection tasks.The existing models,which employ encoder-decoder recurrent neural network(RNN),have been demonstrated to be effective.However,the traditional RNN-based models still suffer from limitations such as 1)high-dimensional data representation in natural language processing and 2)biased attentive weights for subsequent words in traditional time series models.In this study,a new answer selection model is proposed based on the Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory(Bi-LSTM)and attention mechanism.The proposed model is able to generate the more effective question-answer pair representation.Experiments on a question answering dataset that includes information from multiple fields show the great advantages of our proposed model.Specifically,we achieve a maximum improvement of 3.8%over the classical LSTM model in terms of mean average precision.Bo Zhang Haowen Wang Longquan Jiang Shuhan Yuan Meizi Li 2020Computers, Materials & Continua2020,,3:1
