1Cadmium accumulation and tolerance of two castor cultivars in relation to antioxidant systems显示文摘To investigate the effects of Cd on tolerance and antioxidant activities of castor, two different castor(Ricinus communis L.) cultivars(Zibo No. 5 and Zibo No. 8) were used for a hydroponic experiment(0, 1 and 2 mg/L Cd) and a pot experiment using Cd-contaminated soil(34 mg/kg) with the addition of ethylenedinitrilotetraacetic acid(EDTA). The results indicated that there were significant differences between the two cultivars with respect to Cd uptake in shoots(113–248 mg/kg for Zibo No. 5 and 130–288 mg/kg Zibo No. 8), biomass tolerance indexes(64.9%–74.6% for Zibo No. 5 and 80.1%–90.9% for Zibo No. 8) in the hydroponic experiment and survival rates(0% for Zibo No. 5 and 100% for Zibo No. 8)determined by the addition of EDTA in the pot experiment, suggesting that Zibo No. 8 has higher tolerance than Zibo No. 5. Moreover, the castor cultivars have low bioconcentration factors(4.80% for Zibo No. 5 and 5.43% for Zibo No. 8) and low translocation factors(<1%).Consequently, Zibo No. 8 can participate in Cd phytostabilization in highly Cd-polluted areas. The results indicated that glutathione(GSH) as a non-enzymatic antioxidant, and antioxidant enzymes including superoxide dismutase(SOD), catalase(CAT) and guaiacol peroxidase(GPX), were cultivar- and dose-dependent. 2Overexpression of a dominant-negative mutant of SIRT1 in mouse heart causes cardiomyocyte apoptosis and early-onset heart failure显示文摘SIRT1,a mammalian ortholog of yeast silent information regulator 2(Sir2),is an NAD+-dependent protein deacetylase that plays a critical role in the regulation of vascular function.The current study aims to investigate the functional significance of deacetylase activity of SIRT1 in heart.Here we show that the early postnatal hearts expressed the highest level of SIRT1deacetylase activity compared to adult and aged hearts.We generated transgenic mice with cardiac-specific expression of a dominant-negative form of the human SIRT1(SIRT1H363Y),which represses endogenous SIRT1 activity.The transgenic mice displayed dilated atrial and ventricular chambers,and died early in the postnatal period.Pathological,echocardiographic and molecular phenotype confirmed the presence of dilated cardiomyopathy.Terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase-mediated dUTP nick-end-labeling analysis revealed a greater abundance of apoptotic nuclei in the hearts of transgenic mice.Furthermore,we show that cardiomyocyte apoptosis caused by suppression of SIRT1 activity is,at least in part,due to increased p53acetylation and upregulated Bax expression.These results indicate that dominant negative form of SIRT1(SIRT1H363Y)overexpression in mouse hearts causes cardiomyocyte apoptosis and early-onset heart failure,suggesting a critical role of SIRT1 in preserving normal cardiac development during the early postnatal period.MU WenLi ZHANG QingJun TANG XiaoQiang FU WenYan ZHENG Wei LU YunBiao LI HongLiang WEI YuSheng LI Li SHE ZhiGang CHEN HouZao LIU DePei 2014Science China(Life Sciences)2014,57,9:12
3Abnormal subchondral bone remodeling and its association with articular cartilage degradation in knees of type 2 diabetes patients显示文摘Type 2 diabetes(T2 D) is associated with systemic abnormal bone remodeling and bone loss. Meanwhile,abnormal subchondral bone remodeling induces cartilage degradation, resulting in osteoarthritis(OA).Accordingly, we investigated alterations in subchondral bone remodeling, microstructure and strength in knees from T2 D patients and their association with cartilage degradation. Tibial plateaus were collected from knee OA patients undergoing total knee arthroplasty and divided into non-diabetic(n = 70) and diabetes(n = 51) groups. Tibial plateaus were also collected from cadaver donors(n = 20) and used as controls.Subchondral bone microstructure was assessed using micro-computed tomography. Bone strength was evaluated by micro-finite-element analysis. Cartilage degradation was estimated using histology. The expression of tartrate-resistant acidic phosphatase(TRAP), osterix, and osteocalcin were calculated using immunohistochemistry. Osteoarthritis Research Society International(OARSI) scores of lateral tibial plateau did not differ between non-diabetic and diabetes groups, while higher OARSI scores on medial side were detected in diabetes group. Lower bone volume fraction and trabecular number and higher structure model index were found on both sides in diabetes group. These microstructural alterations translated into lower elastic modulus in diabetes group. Moreover, diabetes group had a larger number of TRAP^+ osteoclasts and lower number of Osterix^+ osteoprogenitors and Osteocalcin^+ osteoblasts. T2 D knees are characterized by abnormal subchondral bone remodeling and microstructural and mechanical impairments, which were associated with exacerbated cartilage degradation. 4Hepatitis C Virus Infection Downregulates the Ligands of the Activating Receptor NKG2D显示文摘Natural killer (NK) cells are a major component of the host innate immune defense against various pathogens. Several viruses, including hepatitis C virus (HCV), have developed strategies to evade the NK-cell response. In our study, we found HCV infection could trigger DNA damage response by both ataxia telangiectasia mutated (ATM) and ATM- and Rad3-related (ATR) pathways. Recent reports had revealed that NKG2D ligands (NK cell-activating ligands) were upregulated when a major DNA damage checkpoint pathway was activated. However, here we found that DNA damage response was activated but NKG2D ligands were downregulated upon HCV infection. Further studies showed that the protease NS3/4A of HCV which had been shown relation with immune invasion contributed to the reduced expression of NKG2D ligands. 5Methods for assessing the grooving corrosion of high-frequency electric resistance welded pipes显示文摘Grooving corrosion is a major form of corrosion and is prone to occur when high-frequency electric resistance welded (HFW) pipes are being used.Therefore,grooving corrosion is one of the performance indexes of HFW products.Grooving corrosion usually occurs along the welding fusion line,resulting in one or more corrosion grooves.The main factors affecting grooving corrosion include the contents of alloying elements and impurities (especially sulphur) in the steel,the microstructure of the welds and the steel substrate,welding parameters and the service environment as well.In this study,the existing methods for assessing grooving corrosion were systematically reviewed,improvements and new methods were proposed and developed to overcome the shortcomings of the existing methods,such as inaccuracy and excessive research time.By comparison with the existing methods,the operational procedures and the characteristics of the new methods are introduced,and issues regarding the behavior of grooving corrosion and their assessment methods,which both need further research,are discussed in this study.WANG Wei QI Huibin LIU Changsheng ZHOU Qingjun QIAN Yuhai SHEN Jianlan 2010Baosteel Technical Research2010,4,3:5
6Investigation into the flotation response of refractory molybdenum ore to depressant mixtures:A case study显示文摘In this paper, bulk flotation followed by separation was investigated to concentrate purified molybdenite product from Jinduicheng molybdenum ores(Shanxi province, China). The bench scale tests mainly focussed on separation of molybdenite from other sulfide minerals using the new type of depressants.The effect of each single depressant, including organic depressant-modified dextrin(MD), P-Nokes reagent(PN) and sodium trithiocarbonate(ST), and their mixtures on galena, chalcopyrite and other sulfide ores, was examined in turn by changing the concentrations used in cleaner flotation tests. Closed circuit experiments were carried out under the optimal condition and satisfying recovery and grade of molybdenite concentrate could be achieved(86.294% and 53.157%, respectively). 7Hot Mixing Behavior and Curing Process of Epoxy Asphalt显示文摘A new hot mixed epoxy asphalt system was developed. The reaction process of epoxy resin was characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). The viscosity was investigated by Brinell viscometer when epoxy resin was mixed with asphalt. The glass transition temperature (Tg), homogeneity, thermal stability and viscoelasticity of epoxy asphalt were analyzed by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), metallographic microscope, thermogravimetric (TG) and dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA). The results showed that the viscosity of epoxy resin modified asphalt reached 1000 mPa·s for more than 180 minutes at 180 ℃, while the best construction process is mixing at 180 ℃ for 2 hours and curing at 60 ℃ for 4 days. The particle size of asphalt is less than 50 μm. 8Mesoporous molecular sieve-based materials for catalytic oxidation of VOC: A review显示文摘As the main contributor of the formation of particulate matter as well as ozone, volatile organic compounds(VOCs) greatly affect human health and the environmental quality. Catalytic combustion/oxidation has been viewed as an efficient, economically feasible and environmentally friendly way for the elimination of VOCs. Supported metal catalyst is the preferred type of catalysts applied for VOCs catalytic combustion because of the synergy between active components and support as well as its flexibility in the composition. The presence of support not only plays the role of keeping the catalyst with good stability and mechanical strength, but also provides a large specific surface for the good dispersion of active components, which could effectively improve the performance of catalyst as well as decrease the usage of active components, especially the noble metal amount. Mesoporous molecular sieves, owing to their large surface area, unique porous structures, large pore size as well as uniform pore-size distribution, were viewed as superior support for dispersing active components. This review focuses on the recent development of mesoporous molecular sieve supported metal catalysts and their application in catalytic oxidation of VOCs. The effect of active component types, support structure, preparation method, precursors, etc. on the valence state, dispersion as well as the loading of active species were also discussed and summarized. 9Development of Mn-Si-MEL as a bi-functional adsorption-catalytic oxidation material for VOCs elimination显示文摘Mn-Si-MEL zeolite was developed as a bi-functional adsorption-catalytic oxidation material for volatile organic compounds(VOCs)elimination due to its good hydrophobicity&good organophileproperty brought by the substitution of Mn for Al in zeolite and the superior catalytic oxidation property endowed by the existence of Mn species.Various Mn-Si-MEL samples were obtained by introducing Mn to MEL crystallization system via different ways.It was found the incorporated Mn ways have a significant effect on the behavior of Mn being involved in the crystallization of MEL and finally influenced the distribution of Mn in zeolite as well the physicochemical properties of product zeolite.The seeding method(MnS2(Seed))is favorable for the good incorporation and uniform distribution of Mn in zeolite while both recrystallization method(Mn-S2(RC))and direct synthesis method(Mn-S2(DH))are favorable for obtaining more reducible Mn species and surface adsorbed oxygen species.The Mn amount incorporated into zeolite follows Mn-S2(RC)(1.96 wt%)>Mn-S2(Seed)(1.07 wt%)≈Mn-S2(DH)(0.97 wt%),the adsorption capacity of various samples follows Mn-S2(Seed)(83.3μmol/g)≈Mn-S2(RC)(82.1μmol/g)>Mn-S2(DH)(76.1μmol/g),while the catalytic oxidation ability of three samples follows Mn-S2(RC)≈Mn-S2(DH)>Mn-S2(Seed).Furthermore,Mn-S2(RC)which exhibits both superior adsorption capacity and catalytic oxidation ability shows good hydrophobicity and superior recyclability,demonstrating its great potential to be applied in the VOCs elimination by an enrichment-degradation route.Qingjun Yu Yongchao Feng Jinghui Wei Xiaolong Tang Honghong Yi 2022Chinese Chemical Letters2022,33,6:2

12Zinc-based metal organic framework with antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties for promoting wound healing显示文摘The synergistic effect of antibacterial and anti-inflammatory is needed to overcome the problem of wound healing difficulties.Based on the favorable antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effect of zinc ions(Zn^(2+))and the physicochemical properties of metal organic frameworks(MOFs),we prepared nanosized zinc-based MOF:Zn-BTC with the ability to slowly release Zn^(2+).In cellular levels,Zn-BTC possessed lower toxicity to fibroblasts and enhanced capacity of cell proliferation and migration.It also had good bactericidal effect on multiple drug-resistant bacteria by reducing 41.4%MRSA and 47.2%Escherichia coli.In addition,Zn-BTC also displayed the ability of lowering the expression of antioxidant genes:superoxide dismutase 1,superoxide dismutase 2 and interleukin 6,and enhancing the expression of wound healing genes:transforming growth factors-b and type I collagen.Finally,it also demonstrated that Zn-BTC could effectively improve the skin wound healing of SD rats and had no toxicity on major organs.The favorable biocompatibility,antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties of Zn-BTC gave a new insight of designing novel MOFs for promoting skin wound healing.Yuting Chen Jinhong Cai Dachang Liu Shuhan Liu Doudou Lei Li Zheng Qingjun Wei Ming Gao 2022Regenerative Biomaterials2022,9,1:2

14Intrinsic physical relationships between rotor modal shapes and instantaneous vibrational energy flow transmission characteristics:Theoretical and numerical analysis and application显示文摘The modal vibration of the rotor is the main cause of excessive vibration of the aeroengine overall structure.To attenuate the vibration of the rotor under different modal shapes from the perspective of energy control,the intrinsic physical relationships between rotor modal shapes and instantaneous vibrational energy flow transmission characteristics is derived from the general equation of motion base on the structural intensity method.A dual-rotor-support-casing coupling model subjected to the rotor unbalanced forces is established by the finite element method in this paper.The transmission,conversion and balance relationships of the vibrational energy flow for the rotors in the first-order bending modal shape,the conical whirling modal shape and the translational modal shape are analyzed,respectively.The results show that the vibrational energy flow transmitted to the structure can be converted into the strain energy,the kinetic energy and the energy dissipated by the damping of the structure.The vibrational energy flow transmission characteristics of rotors with different modal shapes are quite different.Especially for the first-order bending modal shape,the vibrational energy flow and the strain energy are transmitted and converted to each other in the middle part of the rotor shaft,resulting in large deformation at this part.To attenuate this harmful vibration,the influences of grooving on the shaft on the first-order bending vibration are studied from the perspective of transmission control of vibrational energy flow.This study can provide theoretical references and guidance for the vibration attenuation of the rotors in different modal shapes from a more essential perspective.Yingqun MA Qingjun ZHAO Wei ZHAO Binbin LIU Long HAO 2020Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2020,33,12:1

18A pH-responsive mesoporous silica nanoparticles-based drug delivery system with controlled release of andrographolide for OA treatment显示文摘Andrographolide(AG)has favorable anti-inflammatory and antioxidative capacity.However,it has low bioavailability due to high lipophilicity and can be easily cleared by the synovial fluid after intra-articular injection,leading to low therapeutic efficiency in osteoarthritis(OA).Herein,we designed a nano-sized pH-responsive drug delivery system(DDS)for OA treatment by using modified mesoporous silica nanoparticles(MSNs)with pH-responsive polyacrylic acid(PAA)for loading of AG to form AG@MSNs-PAA nanoplatform.The nanoparticles have uniform size(120 nm),high drug loading efficiency(22.3860.71%)and pH-responsive properties,beneficial to sustained release in OA environment.Compared with AG,AG@MSNs-PAA showed enhanced antiarthritic efficacy and chondro-protective capacity based on IL-1b-stimulated chondrocytes and anterior cruciate ligament transection-induced rat OA model,as demonstrated by lower expression of inflammatory factors and better prevention of proteoglycan loss.Therefore,the AG@MSNs-PAA nanoplatform may be developed as a promising OA-specific and on-demand DDS.Mingwei He Zainen Qin Xiaonan Liang Xixi He Bikang Zhu Zhenhui Lu Qingjun Wei Li Zheng 2021Regenerative Biomaterials2021,8,4:1
