| 2 | 1-MCP Regulates Ethanol Fermentation and GABA Shunt Pathway Involved in Kiwifruit Quality During Postharvest Storage显示文摘Kiwifruit(Actinidia deliciosa)‘Bruno’is prone to accumulate ethanol rapidly after respiratory climacteric during storage at ambient conditions without stresses,which causes quality deterioration of the fruit associated with alcohol off-flavor.For maintaining the postharvest quality of kiwifruit‘Bruno’,the effects of 1.0μL•L^−11-methylcyclopropene(1-MCP)treatment on regulating the ethanol fermentation andγ-aminobutyric acid(GABA)shunt pathway associated with control of alcohol off-flavor were investigated during storage at room temperature(24±1)°C for 27 days.The results showed that 1-MCP treatment significantly reduced the respiration rate,ethylene production,decay rate,ascorbic acid(AsA)loss,and delayed the decline in the firmness and titratable acidity(TA),and the increase in total soluble solid(TSS)in kiwifruit.Furthermore,1-MCP treatment effectively inhibited the increases in contents of acetaldehyde,ethanol,and GABA along with the suppressed activities of key enzymes involved in ethanol fermentation and GABA shunt pathway,such as pyruvate decarboxylase(PDC),alcohol dehydrogenase(ADH),glutamate decarboxylase(GAD),and GABA-transaminase(GABA-T)in kiwifruit during storage.In conclusion,1-MCP treatment efficiently regulated the ethanol fermentation and GABA shunt pathway by delaying the ripening process to avoid the alcohol off-flavor development,thereby contributed to maintaining the quality of the kiwifruit. | Maratab Ali Muhammad Ammar Raza Shenge Li Lichao Zhou Chen Huan Shen Shuling Xiaolin Zheng | 2021 | Horticultural Plant Journal2021,7,1: | 7 |
| 3 | Low-cost preparation of mesoporous silica with high pore volume显示文摘Mesoporous silica materials with high pore volume were successfully prepared by the chemical precipitation method, with water glass and a biodegradable nonionic surfactant polyethylene glycol (PEG). The obtained materials were characterized by trans-mission electron microscopy (TEM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), thermo gravimetric analyzer and differential scanning calorimetry (TG-DSC), nitrogen adsorption-desorption measurements, and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The results showed that the changes of the pore parameters depended on both the surfactant content and heat treatment temperature. When the content of PEG was 10wt/ and the obtained PEG/SiO2 composite was heated at 600°C, the mesoporous silica with a pore volume of 2.2 cm3/g, a BET specific surface area of 361.55 m2/g, and a diameter of 2-4 μm could be obtained. | 4 | Characterization of Water Quality in Xiao Xingkai Lake:Implications for Trophic Status and Management显示文摘Increasing cases of lake eutrophication globally have raised concerns among stakeholders,and particularly in China.Evaluating the causes of eutrophication in waterways is essential for effective pollution prevention and control.Xiao Xingkai Lake is part of and connected to Xingkai(Khanka)Lake,a boundary lake between China and Russia.In this study,we investigated the spatio-temporal variabilities in water quality(i.e.,dissolved oxygen(DO),total nitrogen(TN),total phosphorus(TP),chemical oxygen demand(CODMn)and ammonium-nitrogen(NH4+-N))in Xiao Xingkai Lake,from 2012 to 2014,after which a Trophic Level Index was used to evaluate trophic status,in addition to the factors influencing water quality variation in the lake.The DO,TN,TP,CODMn and NH4+-N concentrations were 0.44-15.57,0.16-5.11,0.01-0.45,0.16-48.31,and 0.19-0.78 mg/L,respectively.Compared to the Environmental Quality Standards for surface water(GB 3838-2002)in China,the lake transitioned to an oligotrophic status in 2013 and 2014 from a mesotrophic status in 2012,TN and TP concentrations were the key factors influencing water quality of Xiao Xingkai Lake.Non-para-metric test results showed that sampling time and sites had significant effects on water quality.Water quality was worse in summer and in tourism and aquaculture areas,followed by agricultural drainage areas.Furthermore,lake water trophic status fluctuated between medium eutrophic and light eutrophic status from September 2012 to September 2014,and was negatively correlated with water level.Water quality in tourism and aquaculture sites were medium eutrophic,while in agricultural areas were light eutrophic.According to the results,high water-level fluctuations and anthropogenic activities were the key factor driving variability in physicochemical parameters associated with water quality in Xiao Xingkai Lake. | YU Shuling LI Xiaoyu WEN Bolong CHEN Guoshuang HARTLEYC Anne JIANG Ming LI Xiujun | 2021 | Chinese Geographical Science2021,31,3: | 4 |

| 6 | Shotgun lipidomic analysis of simple lipids in rapeseed oil by electrospray ionization tandem mass spectrometry显示文摘Rapeseed is widely grown in China as an important oil crop. In this study, Shotgun lipidomic methodology based on tandem mass spectrometry but without liquid chromatography was established for simple lipids analysis such as mono-, di-and triacylglycerols(MAGs, DAGs and TAGs) and the derivatives such as free fatty acids(FFAs). Six varieties of rapeseeds belonging to 3 types(B. juncea, B. campestris and B. oleracea) from different areas of China were investigated, with 59 TAG species, 10 DAG species, 5 MAG species and 6 FFA species identified. It was found that erucic acid was mainly present in the form of TAG 62:4(22:1/18:2/22:1), TAG 62:3(22:1/18:1/22:1), and TAG 62:5(22:1/18:3/22:1) in high erucic acid rapeseed oils, while oleic acid was mainly present in the form of TAG 54:2(18:0/18:1/18:1), and TAG 54:4(18:1/18:2/18:1) in high oleic acid rapeseed oils. It was difficult for DAG, MAG and FFA quantification due to their low content with high background content of TAGs. | 9 | n-Octadecanethiol Self-Assembled Monolayer Coating with Microscopic Roughness for Dropwise Condensation of Steam显示文摘Here we presented a novel technology to achieve a Super-hydrophobic coating with microscopic roughness oncopper surface. First, make a layer of verdigris grow on the fresh pure copper surface. Gain it by exposing thecopper to air and the mist of acetic acid solution. The green coating is a mixture of basic copper(Ⅱ) carbonate andcopper(Ⅱ) acetate. Second heat the coating and make it decompose to CuO. Lastly, form an n-octadecanethiolself-assembled monolayers coating on the outermost surface. Contact angle test, scanning electron microscopeanalysis and electrochemical testing were carried out to characterize the surface, and a heat transfer experimentfor dropwise condensation of steam was performed also. Results show that the modified surface bears a few Super-hydrophobicfeatures, the static contact angle is higher than that in literatures, reaching 153.1±1.7°. The microscopicroughness can be seen in SEM images, differing much from H2O2 etched surface and bare copper surface.The condensation of steam on the surface is a typical form of dropwise condensation, in the measured rangeof temperature difference, under 0.1 MPa, the average convection heat transfer coefficients of the vertical surfaceare 1.7~2.1 times for those of film condensation.
