| 1 | Experimental investigation of Z-pinch radiation source for indirect drive inertial confinement fusion显示文摘Z-pinch dynamic hohlraums(ZPDHs)could potentially be used to drive inertial confinement fusion targets.Double-or multishell capsules using the technique of volume ignition could exploit the advantages of ZPDHs while tolerating their radiation asymmetry,which would be unacceptable for a central ignition target.In this paper,we review research on Z-pinch implosions and ZPDHs for indirect drive targets at the Institute of Nuclear Physics and Chemistry,China Academy of Engineering Physics.The characteristics of double-shell targets and the associated technical requirements are analyzed through a one-dimensional computer code developed from MULTI-IFE.Some key issues regarding the establishment of suitable sources for dynamic hohlraums are introduced,such as soft X-ray power optimization,novel methods for plasma profile modulation,and the use of thin-shell liner implosions to inhibit the generation of prior-stagnated plasma.Finally,shock propagation and radiation characteristics in a ZPDH are presented and discussed,together with some plans for future work. | Zhenghong Li Zhen Wang Rongkun Xu Jianlun Yang Fan Ye Yanyun Chu Zeping Xu Faxin Chen Shijian Meng Jianmin Qi Qinyuan Hu Yi Qin Jiaming Ning Zhanchang Huang Linbo Li Shuqing Jiang | 2019 | Matter and Radiation at Extremes2019,4,4: | 1 |
| 2 | Dispersal of invasive Phytolacca americana seeds by birds in an urban garden in China显示文摘Although seed dispersal is a key process determining the regeneration and spread of invasive plant populations,few studies have explicitly addressed the link between dispersal vector behavior and seedling recruitment to gain insight into the invasion process within an urban garden context.We evaluated the role of bird vectors in the dispersal of pokeweed(Phytolacca americana),a North American herb that is invasive in urban gardens in China.Fruiting P.americana attracted both generalist and specialist bird species that fed on and dispersed its seeds.The generalist species Pycnonotus sinensis and Urocissa erythrorhyncha were the most frequent dispersers.Seedling numbers of P.americana were strongly associated with the perching behavior of frugivorous birds.If newly recruited bird species use seedling-safe perching sites,the P.americana will regenerate faster,which would enhance its invasive potential.Based on our observations,we conclude that the 2 main bird vectors,P.sinensis and U.erythrorhyncha,provide potential effective dispersal agents for P.americana.Our results highlight the role of native birds in seed dispersal of invasive plants in urban gardens. | Ning LI Wen YANG Shubo FANG Xinhai LI Zhanchen LIU Xin LENG Shuqing AN | 2017 | Integrative Zoology2017,12,1: | 1 |

| 5 | Response of wintering waterbird diversity to reclamation history and post-reclamation habitat along Yellow Sea coast显示文摘Waterbird diversity is one of the most important indicators for monitoring wetland quality.However,the increasing intensity of reclamation activities in recent decades caused the change of habitat landscape along coasts,which could affect the diversity of wintering waterbirds.Our study tried to investigate how reclamation history and postreclamation habitats influence the species richness,species abundance,and Shannon–Wiener diversity of wintering waterbirds along Yancheng coastal wetlands.A total of 68 waterbird species were recorded and the abundance pattern of wintering birds changed from 2009 to 2013.Species richness and abundance of wintering waterbirds varied in the different reclamation histories.Most importantly,the general linear mixed model highlighted the importance of reclamation history,post-reclamation habitat type,and their interactions for shaping both species abundance and Shannon–Wiener diversity of wintering waterbirds,but these variables did not affect the species richness of waterbirds.Furthermore,the random forest results also showed a positive association between reclamation history with species richness,species abundance,and Shannon–Wiener diversity of wintering waterbirds.Moreover,three post-reclamation habitat types,Suaeda glauca,bare flat,and fish pond,played important roles for wintering birds.Our results highlighted that reclamation history,post-reclamation habitats,and their interactions determined waterbird diversity.Given the growing threats to wetland ecosystems from reclamation activities,further research should find a balance between coastal reclamation and waterbird biodiversity conservation. | Zheng WANG Ning LI Shuai GAO Shuqing AN | 2020 | Integrative Zoology2020,15,6: | 1 |

| 7 | The research of sea-land breeze (SLB) on the west coast of Bohai Bay based on field observation显示文摘Four automatic meteorological stations were set up in a line from beach to inland perpendicular to the west coast of Bohai Bay. Wind direction and velocity at altitudes of 2 m, 4 m and 12 m were surveyed with 10 minute intervals. On 'Sea-Land Breeze' (SLB) days, the transition from sea breeze to land breeze was very evident in the study area. Direction of sea breeze was basically perpendicular to the coast and mainly from the ENE and E. Duration of sea breeze varied by the stations' distance to the coastline, and the near-coast wind velocity was larger than that of the inland and decreases as it reaches inland. There was increased devel- opment of SLB on sunny days than on overcast days.
