| 1 | Seismic wave input method for three-dimensional soil-structure dynamic interaction analysis based on the substructure of artificial boundaries显示文摘The method of inputting the seismic wave determines the accuracy of the simulation of soil-structure dynamic interaction. The wave method is a commonly used approach for seismic wave input, which converts the incident wave into equivalent loads on the cutoff boundaries. The wave method has high precision, but the implementation is complicated, especially for three-dimensional models. By deducing another form of equivalent input seismic loads in the fi nite element model, a new seismic wave input method is proposed. In the new method, by imposing the displacements of the free wave fi eld on the nodes of the substructure composed of elements that contain artifi cial boundaries, the equivalent input seismic loads are obtained through dynamic analysis of the substructure. Subsequently, the equivalent input seismic loads are imposed on the artifi cial boundary nodes to complete the seismic wave input and perform seismic analysis of the soil-structure dynamic interaction model. Compared with the wave method, the new method is simplifi ed by avoiding the complex processes of calculating the equivalent input seismic loads. At the same time, the effect of cryogenic cooling was also compared with that of conventional wet grinding. The experimental results indicated that cryogenic cooling is effective in enhancing supporting function of Al matrix to the Si C particles and improving surface quality. | 4 | Interannual variability in soil respiration from terrestrial ecosystems in China and its response to climate change显示文摘Soil respiration is an important process in terrestrial carbon cycle.Concerning terrestrial ecosystems in China, quantifying the spatiotemporal pattern of soil respiration at the regional scale is critical in providing a theoretical basis for evaluating carbon budget.In this study, we used an empirically based, semi-mechanistic model including climate and soil properties to estimate annual soil respiration from terrestrial ecosystems in China from 1970 to 2009.We further analyzed the relationship between interannual variability in soil respiration and climatic factors (air temperature and precipitation).Results indicated that the distribution of annual soil respiration showed clear spatial patterns.The highest and lowest annual soil respiration rates appeared in southeastern China and northwestern China, respectively, which was in accordance with the spatial patterns of mean annual air temperature and annual precipitation.Although the mean annual air temperature in northwestern China was higher than that in some regions of northeastern china, a greater topsoil organic carbon storage in northeastern China might result in the higher annual soil respiration in this region.By contrast, lower temperature, less precipitation and smaller topsoil organic carbon pool incurred the lowest annual soil respiration in northwestern China.Annual soil respiration from terrestrial ecosystems in China varied from 4.58 to 5.19 PgCa-1 between 1970 and 2009.During this time period, on average, annual soil respiration was estimated to be 4.83 PgCa-1 .Annual soil respiration in China accounted for 4.93%-6.01% of the global annual soil CO2 emission.The interannual variability in soil respiration depended on the interannual variability in precipitation and mean air temperature.In order to reduce the uncertainty in estimating annual soil respiration at regional scale, more in situ measurements of soil respiration and relevant factors (e.g.climate, soil and vegetation) should be made simultaneously and historical soil property data sets should also be established. | CHEN ShuTao HUANG Yao ZOU JianWen SHI YanShu LU YanYu ZHANG Wen HU ZhengHua | 2012 | Science China Earth Sciences2012,55,12: | 8 |
| 5 | Enhanced removal of organics by permanganate preoxidation using tannic acid as a model compound-Role of in situ formed manganese dioxide显示文摘The eect of permanganate preoxidation on organic matter removal during the coagulation with aluminum chloride was investigated using tannic acid as a model compound. Results showed that a small amount of KMnO4 (0.75 mg/L) increased the removal eciency of tannic acid up to 20%, as compared to the process of coagulation by aluminum chloride alone. The key factor enhancing the removal eciency of tannic acid in preoxidation process was the in situ formation of a reductant manganese dioxide. The complexation model was used to describe the reaction between MnO2 and tannic acid. Under weak pH condition, tannic acid was dicult to be adsorbed by MnO2 due to the static electrical repulsive forces. | 6 | 2001-2005年中国4省份精神疾病的患病率、治疗情况和相关残疾:一项流行病学调查显示文摘背景在中国和其他中等收入国家,神经精神状况是影响男性和女性健康的最重要的原因,但由于缺乏有关各种精神疾病患病率、治疗情况和相关残疾的高质量的和具有国家特异性的资料,这些国家提高精神卫生服务的工作受到了限制。因此,我们在中国4个省份开展了一系列流行病学研究,以此来估算相关数据。方法采用多阶段分层随机抽样的方法在中国的4个省抽取了96个城市和267个农村作为初级抽样点;1.13亿个年龄≥18岁的成年人的抽样框架涵盖了中国12%的成年人。在抽样点使用简单随机抽样法选取63004例受试者,采用一般健康问卷(GHQ)的扩展版对这些个体进行筛查,并由精神科医生使用中文版的诊断与统计手册(DSM).Iv轴I障碍定式临床检查(SCID)问卷对其中的16577例受试者进行调查。结果所有精神疾病近1个月的校正患病率为17.5%(95%CI16.6%~18.5%)。其中,心境障碍患病率为6.1%(95%CI5.7%~6.6%),焦虑障碍为5.6%(95%cI5.0%~6.3%),物质滥用障碍为5.9%(95%CI5-3%~6.5%),精神病性障碍为1.0%(95%C10.8%~1.1%)。女性的心境障碍和焦虑障碍的患病率比男性高,年龄〉140岁个体的患病率高于年龄〈40岁的个体。男性酒精使用障碍的患病率是女性的48倍。农村居民比城市居民更可能患有抑郁障碍和酒精依赖。在被诊断患有某种精神疾病的人群中,24%存在由所患精神疾病引起的中度或重度残疾,8%曾向专业人员寻求过帮助,5%曾就诊于精神科。结论本研究结果与全球疾病负担分析中使用的中国精神疾病的患病率、残疾和治疗率估计值有相当大的差距,这需要引起中、低收入国家注意,在提高精神卫生服务前需针对国家具体情况进行详细的现状分析。 | Jingxuan Zhang Qichang Shi Zhiqiang Song Zhijie Ding Shutao Pang Xianyun Li Yali Zhang Zhiqing Wang 张亚利(译) 安静(审校) 费立鹏(审校) | 2009 | 世界临床医学2009,,11: | 5 |

| 9 | Poly(N-isopropylacrylamide)-based thermo-responsive surfaces with controllable cell adhesion显示文摘Poly(N-isopropylacrylamide)(PNIPAAm)-based thermo-responsive surfaces can switch their wettability(from wettable to non-wettable) and adhesion(from sticky to non-sticky) according to external temperature changes. These smart surfaces with switchable interfacial properties are playing increasingly important roles in a diverse range of biomedical applications; these controlling cell-adhesion behavior has shown great potential for tissue engineering and disease diagnostics. Herein we reviewed the recent progress of research on PNIPAAm-based thermo-responsive surfaces that can dynamically control cell adhesion behavior. The underlying response mechanisms and influencing factors for PNIPAAm-based surfaces to control cell adhesion are described first. Then, PNIPAAm-modified two-dimensional flat surfaces for cell-sheet engineering and PNIPAAm-modified three-dimensional nanostructured surfaces for diagnostics are summarized. | 10 | Climate and Vegetation Drivers of Terrestrial Carbon Fluxes:A Global Data Synthesis显示文摘The terrestrial carbon(C) cycle plays an important role in global climate change, but the vegetation and environmental drivers of C fluxes are poorly understood. We established a global dataset with 1194 available data across site-years including gross primary productivity(GPP), ecosystem respiration(ER), net ecosystem productivity(NEP), and relevant environmental factors to investigate the variability in GPP, ER and NEP, as well as their covariability with climate and vegetation drivers.The results indicated that both GPP and ER increased exponentially with the increase in mean annual temperature(MAT)for all biomes. Besides MAT, annual precipitation(AP) had a strong correlation with GPP(or ER) for non-wetland biomes.Maximum leaf area index(LAI) was an important factor determining C fluxes for all biomes. The variations in both GPP and ER were also associated with variations in vegetation characteristics. The model including MAT, AP and LAI explained 53%of the annual GPP variations and 48% of the annual ER variations across all biomes. The model based on MAT and LAI explained 91% of the annual GPP variations and 92.9% of the annual ER variations for the wetland sites. The effects of LAI on GPP, ER or NEP highlighted that canopy-level measurement is critical for accurately estimating ecosystem–atmosphere exchange of carbon dioxide. | 14 | Effects of ZnO nanoparticles on perfluorooctane sulfonate induced thyroid-disrupting on zebrafish larvae显示文摘Perfluorooctane sulfonate(PFOS) and ZnO nanoparticles(nano-ZnO) are widely distributed in the environment.However,the potential toxicity of co-exposure to PFOS and nano-ZnO remains to be fully elucidated.The test investigated the effects of co-exposure to PFOS and nano-ZnO on the hypothalamic–pituitary–thyroid(HPT) axis in zebrafish.Zebrafish embryos were exposed to a combination of PFOS(0.2,0.4,0.8 mg/L) and nano-ZnO(50 mg/L)from their early stages of life(0–14 days).The whole-body content of TH and the expression of genes and proteins related to the HPT axis were analyzed.The co-exposure decreased the body length and increased the malformation rates compared with exposure to PFOS alone.Co-exposure also increased the triiodothyronine(T3) levels,whereas the thyroxine(T4)content remained unchanged.Compared with the exposure to PFOS alone,exposure to both PFOS(0.8 mg/L) and nano-ZnO(50 mg/L) significantly up-regulated the expression of corticotropin-releasing factor,sodium/iodidesymporter,iodothyronine deiodinases and thyroid receptors and significantly down-regulated the expression of thyroid-stimulating hormone,thyroglobulin(TG),transthyretin(TTR) and thyroid receptors.The protein expression levels of TG and TTR were also significantly down-regulated in the co-exposure groups.In addition,the expression of the thyroid peroxidase gene was unchanged in all groups.The results demonstrated that PFOS and nano-ZnO co-exposure could cause more serious thyroid-disrupting effects in zebrafish than exposure to PFOS alone.Our results also provide insight into the mechanism of disruption of the thyroid status by PFOS and nano-ZnO. | Jia Du Shutao Wang Hong You Zhongqiang Liu | 2016 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2016,28,9: | 3 |

| 17 | Graph-matching-based character recognition for Chinese seal images显示文摘Recognizing characters in Chinese seal images is important when researching ancient cultural artworks because the seals may contain critical historical information. However, owing to large intraclass variance and a limited number of training samples, recognizing such characters in Chinese seals is challenging.Thus, this study proposes a graph-matching-based method to recognize characters in historical Chinese seal images. In the proposed method, a Chinese seal character is first modeled as a graph representing its underlying geometric structure. Then, two affinity matrices that measure the similarity of nodes and edge pairs are calculated with their local features. Finally, a correspondence matrix is calculated using a graph matching algorithm and the most similar reference is selected as the recognition result. | 18 | Nonswellable hydrogels with robust micro/nano-structures and durable superoleophobic surfaces under seawater显示文摘Hydrogels, composed mainly of water trapped in three dimensional cross-linked polymer networks, have been widely utilized to construct underwater superoleophobic surfaces. However, the swelling nature and instability of hydrogels under complex marine environment will weaken their underwater superoleophobicity. Herein, we synthesize structured poly(2-hydroxyethylmethacrylate)(PHEMA) hydrogels by using sandpaper as templates. The robust non-swelling of PHEMA hydrogel ensures that micro/nano-structures on the surface of PHEMA hydrogels can be well maintained. Moreover, when roughness Ra of about 3~4 μm, the surface has superior oil-repellency. Additionally, even after immersing in seawater for one-month, their breaking strength and toughness can be well kept.
