| 1 | Drug targeting through platelet membrane-coated nanoparticles for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis显示文摘The effective drug treatment of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is hindered by poordelivery efficiency to the diseased site and the serious side effects caused bywide-spread drug distribution. Traditional drug-targeting strategies, such asligand modification, are complex, laborious, and inefficient. Inspired by theintrinsic relationship between platelets and RA, platelet-mimetic nanoparticles(PNPs) were developed for targeted drug delivery in RA. Through plateletreceptor-mediated adhesion, an intact platelet membrane was coated onto poly(lactic-co-glycolic add) nanopartides, endowing the resulting PNPs with variousfunctional receptors. By coating with platelet membranes, the nanoparticleswere stabilized and had a better circulation profile, providing a benefit forpassive targeting. In vitro binding of PNPs to inflamed endothelium, and in vivoaccumulation in joints of a collagen-induced arthritis (CIA) mouse model of RAwere significantly improved via P-selectin and GVPI recognition, indicating thatthe PNPs could effectively target to RA tissues through multiple mechanisms,similar to natural platelets. Moreover, FK506, a model drug, was loaded into thePNPs and used to treat RA. Pharmacodynamic studies demonstrated that theFK506-PNPs had a notable anti-arthritic effect in CIA mice. | 2 | Referred Somatic Hyperalgesia Mediates Cardiac Regulation by the Activation of Sympathetic Nerves in a Rat Model of Myocardial Ischemia显示文摘Myocardial ischemia(MI)causes somatic referred pain and sympathetic hyperactivity,and the role of sensory inputs from referred areas in cardiac function and sympathetic hyperactivity remain unclear.Here,in a rat model,we showed that MI not only led to referred mechanical hypersensitivity on the forelimbs and upper back,but also elicited sympathetic sprouting in the skin of the referred area and C8–T6 dorsal root ganglia,and increased cardiac sympathetic tone,indicating sympathetic-sensory coupling.Moreover,intensifying referred hyperalgesic inputs with noxious mechanical,thermal,and electro-stimulation(ES)of the forearm augmented sympathetic hyperactivity and regulated cardiac function,whereas deafferentation of the left brachial plexus diminished sympathoexcitation.Intradermal injection of the α_(2) adrenoceptor(α_(2)AR)antagonist yohimbine and agonist dexmedetomidine in the forearm attenuated the cardiac adjustment by ES.Overall,these findings suggest that sensory inputs from the referred pain area contribute to cardiac functional adjustment via peripheral α_(2)AR-mediated sympathetic-sensory coupling. | Xiang Cui Guang Sun Honglei Cao Qun Liu Kun Liu Shuya Wang Bing Zhu Xinyan Gao | 2022 | Neuroscience Bulletin2022,38,4: | 4 |
| 3 | KOH-assisted aqueous synthesis of bimetallic metal-organic frameworks and their derived selenide composites for efficient lithium storage显示文摘To solve low efficiency,environmental pollution,and toxicity for synthesizing zeolitic imidazolate frameworks(ZIFs)in organic solvents,a KOH-assisted aqueous strategy is proposed to synthesize bimetallic ZIFs polyhedrons,which are used as precursors to prepare bimetallic selenide and N-doped carbon(NC)composites.Among them,Fe–Co–Se/NC retains the three-dimensional(3D)polyhedrons with mesoporous structure,and Fe–Co–Se nanoparticles are uniform in size and evenly distributed.When assessed as anode material for lithium-ion batteries,Fe–Co–Se/NC achieves an excellent initial specific capacity of 1165.9 m Ah·g^(-1)at 1.0 A·g^(-1),and the reversible capacity of Fe–Co–Se/NC anode is 1247.4 m Ah·g^(-1)after 550 cycles.It is attributed to that the uniform composite of bimetallic selenides and N-doped carbon can effectively tune redox active sites,the stable 3D structure of Fe–Co–Se/NCs guarantees the structural stability and wettability of the electrolyte,and the uniform distribution of Fe–Co–S nanoparticles in size esuppresses the volume expansion and accelerates the electrochemical reaction kinetics. | Shuya Zhang Yanchun Xue Yutang Zhang Chengxing Zhu Xingmei Guo Fu Cao Xiangjun Zheng Qinghong Kong Junhao Zhang Tongxiang Fan | 2023 | International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2023,30,4: | 2 |

| 5 | Step distribution of Yb filling fraction during microstructural evolution in skutterudites显示文摘To achieve a better material for thermoelectric power generation device, filled skutterudite Yb0.3 Co_4 Sb_(12) samples were fabricated by melting-quenching-annealing-spark plasma sintering(SPS)method. Two sets of samples, before and after SPS, were investigated. In both the two sets of samples,the average grain size of the samples increases monotonously with the increase of annealing time,while Yb filling fraction firstly increases and then decreases. Yb not filling into the skutterudite remains at the grain boundaries in the form of Yb_2 O_3 after SPS, which could be quantified by the spatially difference method of energy dispersive spectra. Step distribution of Yb filling fraction was observed in the samples annealed for 1 h, which was caused by the microstructural evolution from the peritectic phases to the skutterudite phase. The sample annealed for 3 days and SPS sintered possesses the maximum value of Yb filling fraction 0.249 and the maximum ZT value of 1.24 at 850 K.
