| 1 | Chemical Compositions and Distribution Characteristics of Cements in Longmaxi Formation Shales, Southwest China显示文摘Shale gas resources have been regarded as a viable energy source, and it is of great significance to characterize the shale composition of different cements, such as quartz and dolomite. In this research, chemical analysis and the multifractal method have been used to study the mineral compositions and petrophysical structures of cements in shale samples from the Longmaxi Formation, China. X-ray diffraction, electron microprobe, field emission scanning electron microscopy, cathodoluminescence microscopy and C-O isotope analyses confirmed that cements in the Longmaxi Formation shales are mainly composed of Fe-bearing dolomite and quartz. Fe-bearing dolomite cements concentrate around dolomite as annuli, filling micron-sized inorganic primary pores. Quartz cements in the form of nanoparicles fill primary inter-crystalline pores among clay minerals. Theoretical calculation shows that the Fe-bearing dolomite cements formed slightly earlier than the quartz cements, but both were related to diagenetic illitization of smectite. Moreover, multifractal analysis reveals that the quartz cements are more irregularly distributed in pores than the Fe-bearing dolomite cements. These results suggest that the plugging effect of the quartz cements on the primary inoraganic pore structures is the dominant factor resulting in low interconnected porosity of shales, which are unfavorable for the enrichment of shale gas. | Wenda Zhou Shuyun Xie Zhengyu Bao Emmanuel John M. | 2 | Geochemical Characteristics of Selenium and Its Correlation to Other Elements and Minerals in Selenium-Enriched Rocks in Ziyang County,Shaanxi Province,China显示文摘Ziyang County, Shaanxi Province, China is a world known selenium(Se)-enriched area, and a severe selenosis incident was reported in Naore Village during the 1990 s. This study investigated the geochemical characteristics of Se and its fractions in Se-enriched rocks from Ziyang. Se distribution is uneven, ranging from 0.23 to 57.00 μg/g(17.29±15.52 μg/g). Se content is higher in slate than chert, and even lower in carbonate rocks. Cd, As and V are enriched but Pb is depleted in Se-enriched strata. Se has different correlations both with TS(total sulfur)(R^2=0.59 for chert) and TC(total carbon)(R^2=0.77 for slate, R^2=0.87 for carbonate). Se has significant positive correlations with V(r=0.65), As(r=0.485), Cd(r=0.459) and Pb(r=0.405). The Se level correlates with mineral content, positively with pyrite, chlorite and illite, negatively with albite. Se associated with sulfide/selenide and elemental Se are the predominant fractions of total recovered Se, suggesting that a reducing environment and the formation of sulfides were significant to Se deposition during its geochemical cycle. | 3 | Combination of anti-PD-1 antibody with P-GEMOX as a potentially effective immunochemotherapy for advanced natural killer/T cell lymphoma显示文摘Advanced natural killer/T cell lymphoma(NKTL)has demonstrated poor prognosis with currently available therapies.Here,we report the efficacy of anti-programmed death 1(PD-1)antibody with the P-GEMOX(pegaspargase,gemcitabine,and oxaliplatin)regimen in advanced NKTL.Nine patients underwent six 21-day cycles of anti-PD-1 antibody(day 1),pegaspargase 2000 U/m^(2)(day 1),gemcitabine 1 g/m^(2)(days 1 and 8)and oxaliplatin 130 mg/m^(2)(day 1),followed by anti-PD-1 antibody maintenance every 3 weeks.Programmed death-ligand 1(PD-L1)expression and genetic alterations were determined in paraffin-embedded pretreatment tissue samples using immunohistochemistry and next-generation sequencing(NGS)analysis.Responses were assessed using 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography(18FDG-PET)and computed tomography or magnetic resonance imaging.Eight patients exhibited significant responses,comprising of seven complete remissions and one partial remission(overall response rate:88.9%).After a median follow-up of 10.6 months,6/9 patients(66.7%)remained in complete remission.The most common grade 3/4 adverse events were anemia(33.3%),neutropenia(33.3%),and thrombocytopenia(33.3%);all of which were manageable and resolved.Immunochemotherapy produced a high response rate in patients with positive PD-L1 expression(5/6,83.3%).NGS analysis suggested that STAT3/JAK3/PD-L1 alterations and ARID1A mutation were associated with immunochemotherapy efficacy.Mutation in DDX3X and alteration in epigenetic modifiers of KMT2D,TET2,and BCORL1 might indicate a poor response to immunochemotherapy.In conclusion,the anti-PD-1 antibody plus P-GEMOX regimen demonstrated promising efficacy in advanced NKTL.PD-L1 expression combined with specific genetic alterations could be used as potential biomarkers to predict therapeutic responses to immunochemotherapy. | Jun Cai Panpan Liu Huiqiang Huang Yajun Li Shuyun Ma Hui Zhou Xiaopeng Tian Yuchen Zhang Yan Gao Yi Xia Xuanye Zhang Hang Yang Lirong Li Qingqing Cai | 2020 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2020,5,1: | 6 |
| 4 | Effects of Driving Mode on the Performance of Multiple-Chamber Piezoelectric Pumps with Multiple Actuators显示文摘Due to the limited output capability of piezoelectric diaphragm pumps, the driving voltage is frequently increased to obtain the desired output. However, the excessive voltage application may lead to a large deformation in the piezoelectric ceramics, which could cause it to breakdown or become damaged. Therefore, increasing the number of chambers to obtain the desired output is proposed. Using a check-valve quintuple-chamber pump with quintuple piezoelectric actuators, the characteristics of the pump under different driving modes are investigated through experiments. By changing the number and connection mode of working actuators, pump performances in terms of flow rate and backpressure are tested at a voltage of 150 V with a frequency range of 60 Hz ?400 Hz. Experiment results indicate that the properties of the multiple-chamber pump change significantly with distinct working chambers even though the number of pumping chambers is the same. Pump performance declines as the distance between the working actuators increases. Moreover, pump performance declines dramatically when the working piezoelectric actuator closest to the outlet is involved. The maximum backpressures of the pump with triple, quadruple, and quintuple actuators are increased by 39%, 83%, and 128%, respectively, compared with the pump with double working actuators; the corresponding maximum flow rates of the pumps are simply increased by 25.9%, 49.2%, and 67.8%, respectively. | 13 | Advances in Research on the ITCZ:Mean Position,Model Bias,and Anthropogenic Aerosol Influences显示文摘The zonal-mean position of the intertropical convergence zone(ITCZ)and its shift in the meridional direction significantly influence both the tropical and even global climate.This work reviews three aspects of the progress in ITCZ-relevant research:1)the mechanism behind the asymmetry of the ITCZ annual-and zonal-mean positions relative to the equator;2)causes of the double-ITCZ problem(pervasive in climate models)and the efforts to solve it;and 3)the physical mechanisms by which anthropogenic aerosols affect the location of the zonal-mean ITCZ.According to recent studies,the north-of-the-equator location of the annual-and zonal-mean ITCZ is mainly driven by the cross-equatorial energy transports in the ocean,induced by the Atlantic overturning circulation.A quantitative relationship between the ITCZ shift and the anomalous cross-equatorial energy transport in the atmosphere has been found.Presently,the double-ITCZ problem is still the most common and pronounced bias in tropical precipitation simulations with climate models.Recently,some studies have found that simply correcting the biases in hemispheric energy contrast does not improve the simulation of the ITCZ with climate models;whereas others have found that improving model resolutions and convective parameterizations in climate models,such as entrainment rate,raindroplet re-evaporation,and convection triggering function,can alleviate the double-ITCZ bias.Therefore,it seems that the double-ITCZ problem in climate models is rooted in the complex physics of the models,which is not yet well-understood.In addition,anthropogenic aerosols are suggested to be able to induce meridional shifts of the ITCZ,but through various physical mechanisms.Absorbing aerosols like black carbon influence the ITCZ position basically via instantaneous absorption of shortwave radiation in the atmosphere,whereas scattering aerosols like sulfate affect the location of the ITCZ through the cloud lifetime effect and the subsequent response of surface evaporation. | Hua ZHANG Xinyu MA Shuyun ZHAO Linghan KONG | 2021 | Journal of Meteorological Research2021,35,5: | 0 |

| 18 | Application of Student Standardized Patient in the Clinical Teaching of Acute Abdomen显示文摘Background:In recent years,with the gradual expansion of the scale of medical education,the shortage of medical teaching resources and the reluctance of patients to cooperate with teaching have become increasingly prominent.Objective:To explore the application effect of student standardized patient(SSP)in the clinical teaching of acute abdomen.Methods:Fifty-four fifth-year general medical students from class 1826 of the general department of The First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Medical University were selected as the research subjects and randomly divided into two groups,with 27 students in the experimental teaching group,and the remaining 27 students in the conventional teaching group.The experimental teaching group adopted the SSP teaching approach.The SSPs were generated from the training students of the hospital through the recruitment and training process of SSP.In this study,seven qualified SSPs were selected for the clinical teaching of acute abdomen.At the end of the course,a periodic assessment was held.The rank sum test was used to compare the excellent and good rates between the two groups,while t-test was used to compare the difference between the two groups.Results:The results showed that the excellent and good rate of the experimental teaching group was significantly higher than that of the conventional group,in which the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(p<0.05).In terms of the assessment results,the theoretical scores and skills scores of the experimental teaching group were better than those of the conventional teaching group,in which the differences between the two groups were statistically significant(p<0.05).Conclusion:Through the training of SSP for acute abdomen and its application in surgical teaching and examination,the superiority of SSP is emphasized.Although there are still some shortcomings in the application of SSP in clinical teaching,it is a relatively new and effective teaching method,and it will play an increasingly critical role in clinical skills training pertaining to the medical specialty. | Xiaowei Chang Yu Cai Yuanyuan Jia Pu Yan Shuyun Ma | 2022 | Journal of Contemporary Educational Research2022,6,8: | 0 |
