| 1 | Spectroscopic study on transformations of dissolved organic matter in coal-to-liquids wastewater under integrated chemical oxidation and biological treatment process显示文摘A large amount of wastewater containing various toxic organic contaminants is produced during coal-to-liquids process. In this study, several spectroscopic methods were used to monitor the transformation of organic pollutants during an integrated chemical oxidation and biological process. The results showed that the hydrophobic acid fraction increased after Fenton oxidation, which was likely due to the production of small-molecule organic acids. Soluble microbial products were generated during biological treatment processes,which were degraded after ozonation; meanwhile, the hydrophilic base and acid components increased. Ultraviolet-visible spectroscopic analysis indicated that peaks at the absorption wavelengths of 280 and 254 nm, which are associated with aromatic substances, were detected in the raw water. The aromatic substances were gradually removed, becoming undetectable after biological aeration filter(BAF) treatment. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy analysis revealed that the functional groups of phenols;benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylene(BTEX); aromatic hydrocarbons; aliphatic acids;aldehydes; and esters were present in raw wastewater. The organic substances were oxidized into small molecules after Fenton treatment. Aromatic hydrocarbons were effectively removed through bioadsorption and biodegradation after BAF process.Biodegradable organic matter was reduced and finally became undetectable after anoxic–oxic treatment in combination with a membrane bioreactor. Four fluorescent components were fractionated and obtained via excitation–emission matrix parallel factor analysis(EEM-PARAFAC). | 2 | Stratigraphy of the Triassic-Jurassic Boundary Successions of the Southern Margin of the Junggar Basin,Northwestern China显示文摘The Triassic-Jurassic(Tr-J) boundary marks a major extinction event,which(~200 Ma) resulted in global extinctions of fauna and flora both in the marine and terrestrial realms.There prevail great challenges in determining the exact location of the terrestrial Tr-J boundary,because of endemism of taxa and the scarcity of fossils in terrestrial settings leading to difficulties in linking marine and terrestrial sedimentary successions.Investigation based on palynology and bivalves has been carried out over a 1113 m thick section,which is subdivided into 132 beds,along the Haojiagou valley on the southern margin of the Junggar Basin of the northern Xinjiang,northwestern China.The terrestrial Lower Jurassic is conformably resting on the Upper Triassic strata.The Upper Triassic covers the Huangshanjie Formation overlaid by the Haojiagou Formation,while the Lower Jurassic comprises the Badaowan Formation followed by the Sangonghe Formation.Fifty six pollen and spore taxa and one algal taxon were identified from the sediments.Based on the key-species and abundance of spores and pollen,three zones were erected:the Late Triassic(Rhaetian) Aratrisporites-Alisporites Assemblage,the Early Jurassic(Hettangian) Perinopollenites-Pinuspollenites Assemblage,and the Sinemurian Perinopollenites-Cycadopites Assemblage.The Tr-J boundary is placed between bed 44 and 45 coincident with the boundary between the Haojiagou and Badaowan formations.Beds with Ferganoconcha(?),Unio-Ferganoconcha and Waagenoperna-Yananoconcha bivalve assemblages are recognized.The Ferganoconcha(?) bed is limited to the upper Haojiagou Formation, Unio-Ferganoconcha and Waagenoperna-Yananoconcha assemblages are present in the middle and upper members of the Badaowan Formation.The sedimentary succession is interpreted as terrestrial with two mainly lake deposit intervals within Haojiagou and Badaowan formations,yielding fresh water algae and bivalves.However,the presence of brackish water algae Tasmanites and the marine-littoral facies bivalve Waagenoperna from the Badaowan Formation indicate that the Junggar Basin was influenced by sea water caused by transgressions from the northern Tethys,during the Sinemurian. | SHA Jingeng Vivi VAJDA PAN Yanhong Linda LARSSON YAO Xiaogang ZHANG Xiaolin WANG Yaqiong CHENG Xiansheng JIANG Baoyu DENG Shenghui CHEN Siwei PENG Bo | 2011 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2011,85,2: | 7 |

| 5 | Retrieved lymph nodes from different anatomic groups in gastric cancer:a proposed optimal number,comparison with other nodal classification strategies and its impact on prognosis显示文摘Background:The optimal number of retrieved lymph nodes(LNs)in gastric cancer(GC)is still debatable and previ-ous studies proposing new classification alternatives mostly focused on the number of retrieved LNs without proper consideration on the anatomic nodal groups’location.Here,we assessed the impact of retrieved LNs from different nodal location groups on the survival of GC patients.Methods:Stage I-III gastric cancer patients who had radical gastrectomy were investigated.LN grouping was deter-mined according to the 13th edition of the JCGC.The optimal cut-off values of retrieved LNs in different LN groups(Group 1 and 2)were calculated,based on which a proposed nodal classification(rN)simultaneously accounting the optimal number and location of retrieved LNs was proposed.The performance of rN was then compared to that of LN ratio,log-odds of metastatic LNs(LODDs)and the 8th edition of the Union for International Cancer Control/American Joint Committee on Cancer(UICC/AJCC)N classification.Results:The optimal cut-off values for Group 1 and 2 were 13 and 9,respectively.The 5-year overall survival(OS)was higher for patients in retrieved Group 1 LNs>13(vs.Group 1 LNs≤13,63.2%vs.57.9%,P=0.005)and retrieved Group 2 LNs>9(vs.Group 2 LNs≤9,72.5%vs.60.7%,P=0.009).Patients staged as pN0-3b were sub classified using this Group 1 and 2 nodal analogy.The OS of pN0-N2 patients in retrieved Group 1 LNs>13 or Group 2 LNs>9 were superior to those in retrieved Group 1 LNs≤13 and Group 2 LNs≤9(All P<0.05);except for pN3 patients.The rN clas-sification was formulated and demonstrated better 5-year OS prognostication performance as compared to the LNR,LODDs,and the 8th UICC/AJCC N staging system.Conclusions:The retrieval of>13 and>9 LNs for Group 1 and Group 2,respectively,could represent an alternative lymph node retrieval approach in radical gastrectomy for more precise survival prognostication and minimizing staging migration,especially if>16 LNs is found to be difficult. | Siwei Pan Pengliang Wang Yanan Xing Kai Li Zhenning Wang Huimian Xu Zhi Zhu | 2019 | Cancer Communications2019,39,1: | 1 |

| 9 | Hepatic Zbtb18 (Zinc Finger and BTB Domain Containing 18) alleviates hepatic steatohepatitis via FXR (Farnesoid X Receptor)显示文摘A lasting imbalance between fatty acid synthesis and consumption leads to non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD),coupled with hepatitis and insulin resistance.Yet the details of the underlying mechanisms are not fully understood.Here,we unraveled that the expression of the transcription factor Zbtb18 is markedly decreased in the livers of both patients and murine models of NAFLD.Hepatic Zbtb18 knockout promoted NAFLD features like impaired energy expenditure and fatty acid oxidation(FAO),and induced insulin resistance.Conversely,hepatic Zbtb18 overexpression alleviated hepato-steatosis,insulin resistance,and hyperglycemia in mice fed on a high-fat diet(HFD)or in diabetic mice.Notably,in vitro and in vivo mechanistic studies revealed that Zbtb18 transcriptional activation of Farnesoid X receptor(FXR)mediated FAO and Clathrin Heavy Chain(CLTC)protein hinders NLRP3 inflammasome activity.This key mechanism by which hepatocyte’s Zbtb18 expression alleviates NAFLD and consequent liver fibrosis was further verified by FXR’s deletion and forced expression in mice and cultured mouse primary hepatocytes(MPHs).Moreover,CLTC deletion significantly abrogated the hepatic Zbtb18 overexpression-driven inhibition of NLRP3 inflammasome activity in macrophages.Altogether,Zbtb18 transcriptionally activates the FXR-mediated FAO and CLTC expression,which inhibits NLRP3 inflammasome’s activity alleviating inflammatory stress and insulin resistance,representing an attractive remedy for hepatic steatosis and fibrosis. | Lei Zhang Jiabing Chen Xiaoying Yang Chuangpeng Shen Jiawen Huang Dong Zhang Naihua Liu Chaonan Liu Yadi Zhong Yingjian Chen Kaijia Tang Jingyi Guo Tianqi Cui Siwei Duan Jiayu Li Shangyi Huang Huafeng Pan Huabing Zhang Xiaoqiang Tang Yongsheng Chang Yong Gao | 2024 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2024,9,2: | 0 |
| 10 | Over 18% binary organic solar cells enabled by isomerization of non-fullerene acceptors with alkylthiophene side chains显示文摘Side-chain engineering has been demonstrated as an effective method for fine-tuning the optical,electrical,and morphological properties of organic semiconductors toward efficient organic solar cells(OSCs).In this work,three isomeric non-fullerene small molecule acceptors(SMAs),named as BTP-4F-T2C8,BTP-4F-T2EH and BTP-4F-T3EH,with linear and branched alkyl chains substituted on the α or β positions of thiophene as the side chains,were synthesized and systematically investigated.The results demonstrate that the size and substitution position of alkyl side chains can greatly affect the electronic properties,molecular packing as well as crystallinity of the SMAs.After blending with donor polymer D18-Cl,the prominent device performance of 18.25% was achieved by the BTP-4F-T3EH-based solar cells,which is higher than those of the BTP-4F-T2EH-based(17.41%)and BTP-4F-T2C8-based(15.92%)ones.The enhanced performance of the BTP-4F-T3EH-based devices is attributed to its stronger crystallinity,higher electron mobility,suppressed bimolecular recombination,and the appropriate intermolecular interaction with the donor polymer.This work reveals that the side chain isomerization strategy can be a practical way in tuning the molecular packing and blend morphology for improving the performance of organic solar cells. | Ao Shang Siwei Luo Jianquan Zhang Heng Zhao Xinxin Xia Mingao Pan Chao Li Yuzhong Chen Jicheng Yi Xinhui Lu Wei Ma He Yan Huawei Hu | 2022 | Science China Chemistry2022,65,9: | 0 |
| 11 | Current situation of carbon emissions and countermeasures in China's ironmaking industry显示文摘The iron and steel industry(ISI) involves high energy consumption and high pollution. ISI in China, a leading country in the ISI,consumed 15% of the country’s total energy and produced more than 50% of the global ISI’s carbon emissions. Therefore, in the context of global low-carbon economy and emission reduction requirements, low-carbon smelting technology in the ISI has attracted increasingly more attention in China. This review summarizes the current status of carbon emissions and energy consumption in China’s ISI and discusses the development status and prospects of low-carbon ironmaking technology. The main route to effectively reducing carbon emissions is to develop a gas-based direct reduction process and replace sintering with pelletizing, both of which focus on developing pelletizing technology. However,the challenge of pelletizing process development is to obtain high-quality iron concentrates. Consequently, the present paper also summarizes the development status of China’s mineral processing technology, including fine-grained mineral processing technology, magnetization roasting technology, and flotation collector application. | 12 | Cobalt Doped Titanate Nanotubes:Synthesis and Properties显示文摘Cobalt oxide doped titanate nanotubes are synthesized with a simple hydrothermal treatment of mixed Co_3O_4 and TiO_2 powders. The formed tubular nanostructure, chemical composition,and the elemental distribution are analyzed using TEM, BET, FTIR, XRD, and XPS. The electrocatalytic activity towards oxygen evolution reactions and photodegradation against Rhodamine B are investigated. It has been found out that the oxygen evolutions starts at 0.8 V and reaches 0.98 mA ·cm^(–1) at 1.4 V vs. SCE. For photodegradation of Rhodamine B, the concentration decreased to 24% after 1 h irradiation using the sample with a mass percentage of 5% cobalt.
