1Annual report on status of cancer in China,2010显示文摘Objective:Population-based cancer registration data in 2010 were collected,evaluated and analyzed by the National Central Cancer Registry(NCCR) of China.Cancer incident new cases and cancer deaths were estimated.Methods:There were 219 cancer registries submitted cancer incidence and death data in 2010.All data were checked and evaluated on basis of the criteria of data quality from NCCR.Total 145 registries' data were qualified and accepted for cancer statistics in 2010.Pooled data were stratified by urban/rural,area,sex,age group and cancer site.Cancer incident cases and deaths were estimated using age-specific rates and national population.The top ten common cancers in different groups,proportion and cumulative rate were also calculated.Chinese census in 2000 and Segi's population were used for age-standardized incidence/ mortality rates.Results:All 145 cancer registries(63 in urban and 82 in rural) covered a total of 158,403,248 population(92,433,739 in urban and 65,969,509 in rural areas).The estimates of new cancer incident cases and cancer deaths were 3,093,039 and 1,956,622 in 2010,respectively.The morphology verified cases(MV%) accounted for 67.11% and 2.99% of incident cases were identified through death certifications only(DCO%) with mortality to incidence ratio(M/I) of 0.61.The crude incidence rate was 235.23/100,000(268.65/100,000 in males,200.21/100,000 in females),age-standardized incidence rates by Chinese standard population(ASIRC,2000) and by world standard population(ASIRW) were 184.58/100,000 and 181.49/100,000 with the cumulative incidence rate(0-74 years old) of 21.11%.The cancer incidence and ASIRC were 256.41/100,000 and 187.53/100,000 in urban areas whereas in rural areas,they were 213.71/100,000 and 181.10/100,000,respectively.The crude cancer mortality in China was 148.81/100,000(186.37/100,000 in males and 109.42/100,000 in females),age-standardized incidence rates by Chinese standard population(ASMRC,2000) and by world standard population(ASMRW) were 113.92/100,000 and 112.86/100,000,and the cumulative incidence rate(0-74 years old) was 12.78%.The cancer mortality and ASMRC were 156.14/100,000 and 109.21/100,000 in urban areas,whereas in rural areas,they were 141.35/100,000 and 119.00/100,000 respectively.Lung cancer,gastric cancer,colorectal cancer,liver cancer,esophageal cancer,pancreas cancer,encephaloma,lymphoma,female breast cancer and cervical cancer,were the most common cancers,accounting for 75% of all cancer cases in urban and rural areas.Lung cancer,gastric cancer,liver cancer,esophageal cancer,colorectal cancer,pancreatic cancer,breast cancer,encephaloma,leukemia and lymphoma accounted for 80% of all cancer deaths.Conclusions:The coverage of cancer registration population had a rapid increase and could reflect cancer burden in each area and population.As the basis of cancer control program,cancer registry plays an irreplaceable role in cancer epidemic surveillance,evaluation of cancer control programs and making anticancer strategy.China is facing serious cancer burden and prevention and control should be enhanced.Wanqing Chen Rongshou Zheng Siwei Zhang Ping Zhao Hongmei Zeng Xiaonong Zou Jie He 2014Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2014,26,1:198
2Cancer incidence and mortality in China, 2014显示文摘Background: National Central Cancer Registry of China(NCCRC) updated nationwide cancer statistics using population-based cancer registry data in 2014 collected from all available cancer registries.Methods: In 2017, 449 cancer registries submitted cancer registry data in 2014, among which 339 registries' data met the criteria of quality control and were included in analysis. These cancer registries covered 288,243,347 population, accounting for about 21.07% of the national population in 2014. Numbers of nationwide new cancer cases and deaths were estimated using calculated incidence and mortality rates and corresponding national population stratified by area, sex, age group and cancer type. The world Segi's population was applied for agestandardized rates.Results: A total of 3,804,000 new cancer cases were diagnosed, the crude incidence rate was 278.07/100,000(301.67/100,000 in males, 253.29/100,000 in females) and the age-standardized incidence rate by world standard population(ASIRW) was 186.53/100,000. Calculated age-standardized incidence rate was higher in urban areas than in rural areas(191.6/100,000 vs. 179.2/100,000). South China had the highest cancer incidence rate while Southwest China had the lowest incidence rate. Cancer incidence rate was higher in female for population between20 to 54 years but was higher in male for population younger than 20 years or over 54 years. A total of 2,296,000 cancer deaths were reported, the crude mortality rate was 167.89/100,000(207.24/100,000 in males,126.54/100,000 in females) and the age-standardized mortality rate by world standard population(ASMRW) was106.09/100,000. Calculated age-standardized mortality rate was higher in rural areas than in urban areas(110.3/100,000 vs. 102.5/100,000). East China had the highest cancer mortality rate while North China had the lowest mortality rate. The mortality rate in male was higher than that in female. Common cancer types and major causes of cancer death differed between age group and sex.Conclusions: Heavy cancer burden and its disparities between area, sex and age group pose a major challenge to public health in China. 4Interactions between life expectancy and the incidence and mortality rates of cancer in China: a population-based cluster analysis显示文摘Background:The relationship between cancer and life expectancy is well established in both developed and developing countries.China is a vast country with significant geographical differences in population structure and healthcare,and thus provides a unique opportunity to analyze the complex relationship between life expectancy and cancer incidence and mortality rates.Methods:Cancer data were extracted for a total of 255 units(cities or counties)from the 2013 National Central Cancer Registry.Life expectancy data at the unit level were obtained from the National Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.Linear regression analysis was used to analyze the relationship between life expectancy and crude incidence and mortality rates of cancer.In a separate analysis,life expectancy was rated as low(<76.0 years),middle(76-80 years),or high(>80 years).Results:Overall,the cancer incidence and mortality rates positively correlated with life expectancy in both sexes(R at 0.37 and 0.50,P<0.001).The correlation was significant for the following cancers:lung,colorectal,prostate,blad-der and pancreas,as well as for lymphoma in men(R 0.36-0.58,P<0.001),lung,breast,colorectal,thyroid,uterus,and ovary in women(R 0.18-0.51,P<0.001).We failed to observe an association between upper gastrointestinal cancer and life expectancy.The number of cities/counties with low,middle and high life expectancy levels were 110,101 and 44,respectively.The highest age-standardized cancer incidence rate was observed in areas with a high life expec-tancy level(192.83/100,000).The highest age-standardized mortality rate was in areas with the lowest life expectancy(118.44/100,000).Cancers of the stomach,liver and esophagus are major cancer types in areas with low and middle life expectancy.In contrast,areas with high life expectancy had high incidence and mortality rates of colorectal can-cer,breast cancer in women and prostate cancer in men.Conclusions:Longer life expectancy is associated with higher overall cancer incidence and mortality in China.The cancer pattern also varies substantially across areas with different life expectancy levels.Life expectancy levels must be considered when developing strategies to prevent and treat cancers.Xiuying Gu Rongshou Zheng Changfa Xia Hongmei Zeng Siwei Zhang Xiaonong Zou Zhixun Yang He Li Wanqing Chen 2018Cancer Communications2018,38,1:12

6Whole-genome resequencing of Osmanthus fragrans provides insights into flower color evolution显示文摘Osmanthus fragrans is a well-known ornamental plant that has been domesticated in China for 2500 years.More than 160 cultivars have been found during this long period of domestication,and they have subsequently been divided into four cultivar groups,including the Yingui,Jingui,Dangui,and Sijigui groups.These groups provide a set of materials to study genetic evolution and variability.Here,we constructed a reference genome of O.fragrans‘Liuyejingui’in the Jingui group and investigated its floral color traits and domestication history by resequencing a total of 122 samples,including 119 O.fragrans accessions and three other Osmanthus species,at an average sequencing depth of 15×.The population structure analysis showed that these 119 accessions formed an apparent regional cluster.The results of linkage disequilibrium(LD)decay analysis suggested that varieties with orange/red flower color in the Dangui group had undergone more artificial directional selection;these varieties had the highest LD values among the four groups,followed by the Sijigui,Jingui,and Yingui groups.Through a genome-wide association study,we further identified significant quantitative trait loci and genomic regions containing several genes,such as ethylene-responsive transcription factor 2 and Arabidopsis pseudoresponse regulator 2,that are positively associated with petal color.Moreover,we found a frameshift mutation with a 34-bp deletion in the first coding region of the carotenoid cleavage dioxygenase 4 gene.This frameshift mutation existed in at least one site on both alleles in all varieties of the Dangui group.The results from this study shed light on the genetic basis of domestication in woody plants,such as O.fragrans.Hongguo Chen Xiangling Zeng Jie Yang Xuan Cai Yumin Shi Riru Zheng Zhenqi Wang Junyi Liu Xinxin Yi Siwei Xiao Qiang Fu Jingjing Zou Caiyun Wang 2021Horticulture Research2021,8,1:5
7Highly efficient K-Fe/C catalysts derived from metal-organic frameworks towards ammonia synthesis显示文摘Fe-based catalysts have been discovered as the best elementary metal-based heterogeneous catalysts for the ammonia synthesis in industrial application during the last century.Herein,a novel and scalable strategy is developed to prepare the K-promoted Fe/C catalyst with extremely high Fe loading (> 50 wt.%) through pyrolysis of the Fe-based metal-organic framework (MOF) xerogel.The obtained K-Fe/C catalysts exhibited superior activity and stability towards ammonia synthesis.The weight-specific reaction rate of Fe/C with K2O as promoter can achieve 12.4 mmol·g-1·h-1 at 350 ℃ and 30.4 mmol·g-1·h-1 at 400 ℃,approximately four and two times higher than that of the commercial fused-iron catalyst (3.4 mmol·g-1·h-1 at 350 ℃ and 16.7 mmol·g-1·h-1 at 400 ℃) under the same condition,respectively.The excellent performance of K-Fe/C can be ascribed to the inherited structure derived from the metal-organic frame precursors and the promotion of potassium,which can modify the binding energy of reactant molecules on the Fe surface,transfer electrons to iron for effective activation of nitrogen,prevent agglomeration of Fe nanoparticle (NPs) and restrain side reaction of carbon matrix to methane.Pengqi Yan Wenhan Guo Zibin Liang Wei Meng Zhen Yin Siwei Li Mengzhu Li Mengtao Zhang Jie Yan Dequan Xiao Ruqiang Zou Ding Ma 2019Nano Research2019,12,9:4

15Multifunctional electroactive bio-adhesive for robustly-integrated wound therapy and postoperative wound-status warning and assessment显示文摘Wound abnormalities such as secondary wound laceration and inflammation are common postoperative health hazards during clinical procedures.The continuous treatment,healing induction,and real-time visualization of wound status and complications,including wound re-tearing,inflammation,and morphology,are key focal points for comprehensive healthcare.Herein,an on-demand quadruple energy dissipative strategy was proposed for the nanoengineering of a physically and chemically synergistic double-layer gelatin-based bio-adhesive(DLGel)by combining a multi-network adhesive layer and a versatile electroactive energy dissipative layer based on contrivable interlocking micro-pillar arrays and crosslinked polymer chains.The subtly multiple energy dissipation designs enable DLGel with robust adhesive strength to omnipotently wet and dynamic tissue,providing a basis for reliable wound closure.DLGel achieves comprehensive wound-healing induction through electrical stimulation and possesses reversible underwater light/thermal adhesion,excellent hemostatic performance,outstanding antimicrobial properties,and self-repair capability.Furthermore,a novel deep-learning strategy is creatively established to respond to mechanical deformation due to wound anomalies.This strategy translates biological information into visual graphics,providing real-time early warning and assessment of postoperative wound-abnormality/-morphology,such as laceration,inflammation,and necrosis.Therefore,DLGel and its associated signal collection and processing protocol enable the integration of reliable wound closure,wound healing,and real-time postoperative wound-status warning and assessment within the unobservable and undetectable“black box”regions in a context of non-clinical comprehensive therapy.Ouyang Yue Xuechuan Wang Mengdi Hou Siwei Sun Manhui Zheng Xiaoliang Zou Zhongxue Bai Chunlin Liu Xinhua Liu 2024Nano Research2024,17,5:0
16Investigation on occupant presence and appliance operation schedules for university campus in south China sub-tropical area显示文摘Building occupant presence during varying periods is crucial to the performance studies of buildings and city regions.However,the understanding of the building occupancies on the university campus remains limited.To address this gap,our study employs field measurements,payment records,course arrangements,and building access systems to depict the occupancy patterns of the canteen,dormitory,library,and teaching and lab buildings during weekdays and weekends.We found that the occupancy rates across different buildings are somehow interrelated,given that the total number of occupants on campus is generally constant.Notably,dormitory occupancy rates tend to be low during the morning and afternoon course hours,which inversely correlates with the high occupancy rates in the teaching and lab buildings during these periods.Similarly,canteens experience surges in occupancy during meal times,which coincide with a decrease in library usage.Moreover,we established appliance operation schedules for dormitories through surveys and on-site investigations.Water dispensers and electronic devices were identified as the primary energy consumers for both male and female occupants,with desk-top fans and hairdryers being significant energy users for male and female occupants,respectively.These findings are essential for energy studies within a campus setting,underlining the importance of considering occupant behaviors on a regional scale.Siwei Lou Zhongyuan Lin Yukai Zou Dawei Xia Yu Huang Zhuohong Li Zhaowen Gu 2024Building Simulation2024,17,2:0
