| 1 | 东亚零部件贸易影响因素及特点分析:基于引力模型的测算(1992~2006)显示文摘本文根据Jones等人提出的国际垂直分割理论,建立增广引力模型。在区分零部件贸易和传统贸易的情况下,我们利用联合国贸易统计数据,分析了1992~2006年间东亚生产共享和零部件贸易的规模、结构及其变迁情况。我们采用面板数据固定效应两步回归法,揭示了东亚区域内部一体化组织和国家,特别是中国对生产网络的贡献。结果显示,相对于传统贸易,国际直接投资的增加、双边关税及服务联系成本的降低对零部件贸易起到更显著的促进作用。同时,伴随着垂直分工模式的变迁,东亚产业链表现出很强的完整性和不可分割性,技术水平的衔接性在东亚分工格局中起到重要作用。 | 陈静 Somnath Sen 胡昭玲 白雪飞 | 2009 | 世界经济2009,32,11: | 22 |
| 2 | Portal biliopathy显示文摘Biliary ductal changes are a common radiological finding in patients with portal hypertension, however only a small percentage of patients (5%-30%) develop symptomatic bile duct obstruction. The exact pathogenesis is not clear, but an involvement of factors such as bile duct compression by venous collaterals, ischemia, and infection is accepted by most authors. Although endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancrea- tography was used to define and diagnose this condition, magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography is currently the investigation of choice for diagnosing this condition. Treatment is indicated only for symptomatic cases. Portosystemic shunts are the treatment of choice for symptomatic portal biliopathy. In the majority of patients, the changes caused by biliopathy resolve after shunt surgery, however, 15%-20% patients require a subsequent bilio-enteric bypass or endoscopic management for persistent biliopathy. | 3 | Effects of contact lens wearing on keratoconus:a confocal microscopy observation显示文摘AIM: To evaluate the corneal cell morphology of new keratoconus patients wearing two different types of rigid gas-permeable(RGP) contact lenses for 1y.METHODS: Thirty nine eyes of 39 new keratoconus patients were selected and randomly fitted with two types of RGP contact lenses.Group 1 had 21 eyes with regular rigid gas-permeable(RRGP) contact lens and rest 18 eyes were in group 2 with specially designed rigid gas-permeable(SRGP) contact lens.Corneal cell morphology was evaluated using a slit scanning confocal microscope at no-lens wear and after 1y of contact lens wearing.RESULTS: After 1y of contact lens wearing in group 1,the mean anterior and posterior stromal keratocyte density were significantly less(P=0.006 and P=0.001,respectively) compared to no-lens wear.The mean cell area of anterior and posterior stromal keratocyte were also significantly different(P=0.005 and P=0.001) from no-lens wear.The anterior and posterior stromal haze increased by 18.74% and 23.81%,respectively after 1y of contact lens wearing.Whereas in group 2,statistically significant changes were observed only in cell density & area of anterior stroma(P=0.001 and P=0.001,respectively) after 1y.While,level of anterior and posterior stromal haze increased by 16.67% and 11.11% after 1y of contact lens wearing.Polymegathism and pleomorphism also increased after 1y of contact lens wearing in both the contact lens groups.CONCLUSION: Confocal microscopy observation shows the significant alterations in corneal cell morphology of keratoconic corneas wearing contact lenses especially in group 1.The type of contact lens must be carefully selected to minimize changes in corneal cell morphology. | Somnath Ghosh Haliza A Mutalib Sharanjeet Kaur Rituparna Ghoshal Shamala Retnasabapathy | 2017 | International Journal of Ophthalmology(English edition)2017,10,2: | 4 |
| 4 | Garcinol sensitizes human head and neck carcinoma to cisplatin in a xenograft mouse model despite downregulation of proliferative biomarkers显示文摘OBJECTIVE Platinum compounds such as cisplatin and carboplatin are frequently used as the first-line chemotherapy for the treatment of the head and neck squamous cell carcinoma(HNSCC).In the present study,we investigated whether garcinol,apolyisoprenylated benzophenone can chemosensitize HNSCC to cisplatin.METHODS The effect of garcinol and cisplatin on HNSCC was assessed by MTT,Western blotting,real time PCR,FACS,immunohistochemistry,DNA binding assay and xenograft mouse model.RESULTS We found that garcinol inhibited the viability of a panel of diverse HNSCC cell lines,enhanced the apoptotic effect of cisplatin,suppressed constitutive as well as cisplatin-induced NF-κB activation,and downregulated the expression of various oncogenic gene products(cyclin D1,Bcl-2,survivin and VEGF).In vivo study showed that administration of garcinol alone(0.5 mg·kg-1,ip five times/week)significantly suppressed the growth of the tumor,and this effect was further increased by cisplatin.Both the markers of proliferation index(Ki-67)and microvessel density(CD31)were downregulated in tumor tissues by the combination of cisplatin and garcinol.The pharmacokinetic results of garcinol indicated that good systemic exposure was achievable after ip administration of garcinol at 0.5and 2mg·kg-1 with mean peak concentration(cmax)of 1825.4 and 6635.7nmol·L-1 in the mouse serum,respectively.CONCLUSION Overall,our results suggest that garcinol can indeed potentiate the effects of cisplatin by negative regulation of various inflammatory and proliferative biomarkers. | Feng Li Muthu K. | 8 | Application of seminal germ cell morphology and semen biochemistry in the diagnosis and management of azoospermic subjects显示文摘To evaluate whether the study of seminal germ cell morphology (SGCM) and semen biochemistry could be fruitfully utilized for the diagnosis and management of azoospermic subjects. Methods: In the semen, mature and immature germ cells are contributed by the testes, 70% of glycerylphosphoryl choline (GPC) by the epididymis, fructose mostly or solely by the seminal vesicles and acid phosphate (ACP) by the prostate. In 16 normal volunteers, 12vasectomized subjects and 186 azoospermic subjects, these parameters have been studied and the data have been analyzed. Results: Both mature and immature germ cells are absent in the semen of vasectomized subjects as well as in obstructive azoospermia; GPC level is also significantly decreased in both these groups. In cases with non-obstructive azoospermia immature germ cells are present and seminal GPC, ACP and fructose levels are normal. The diagnosis of obstructive and non-obstructive azoospermia based on these parameters correlated well with 'correct' testicular biopsy findings. In some cases of azoospermia due to hypospermatogenesis or spermatogenic developmental arrest, the SGCM studies were very helpful in objectively monitoring the response of the germinal tissue to specific treatments. Conclusion: SGCM and semen biochemical parameters are very valuable non-invasive markers for differentiating obstructive from non-obstructive azoospermia. | 10 | Development of a mixed fruit beverage and pulsed light treatment thereof to obtain a microbially safe and enzymatically stable product显示文摘A mixed fruit beverage was formulated according to D-optimal mixture design using apple ber juice(X_(1),45-59%v/v)-an underexplored fruit,carambola juice(X_(2),1-20%v/v),and black table grape juice(X3,35-40%v/v).The crisp overall acceptability(COA)from 16 semi-trained panelists and overall hedonic score(OSH)from consumers were estimated.The best formulation was apple ber:carambola:black table grape juices=59.0:3.5:37.5 v/v with COA and OSH values of 3.23(on a scale of 5)and 7.55(on a scale of 9),respectively.Further,the efficacy of pulsed light(PL)(18-30 W cm^(-2) for 33-167 s;total fluence 600-5000 J cm^(-2))and thermal treatments(90℃ for 1-5 min)were studied on various attributes of the mixed beverage.The beverages processed at 90℃ for 5 min(thermal treatment)and 5000 J cm^(-2)(PL treatment at 30 W cm^(-2) for 167 s)showed no microbial count with a complete enzyme inactivation.The thermally pasteurized sample(90℃/5 min)was more brown(browning index=70.15)than the PL pasteurized beverage(browning index=65.98).Interestingly,the PL pasteurized(5000 J cm^(-2))beverage showed 25%,27%,and 19% more vitamin C,antioxidants,and phenolic compounds,respectively,than the thermally pasteurized(90℃/5 min)beverage.The PL-treated beverage had a greater sensory appeal than the thermally treated beverage.PL-treatment can be an efficient non-thermal pasteurization treatment for ensuring complete microbial and enzymatic inactivation with maximal retention of nutritional and sensory attributes of the blended beverage. | Snehasis Chakraborty Sagar Mahale Rishab Dhar Somnath Basak | 2022 | Food Bioscience2022,45,1: | 2 |
| 11 | Performance study and kinetic modeling of hybrid bioreactor for treatment of bi-substrate mixture of phenol-m-cresol in wastewater:Process optimization with response surface methodology显示文摘Performance of a hybrid reactor comprising of trickling filter(TF) and aeration tank(AT) unit was studied for biological treatment of wastewater containing mixture of phenol and m-cresol,using mixed microbial culture.The reactor was operated with hydraulic loading rates(HLR) and phenolics loading rates(PLR) between 0.222-1.078m3/(m2·day) and 0.900-3.456kg/(m3·day),respectively.The efficiency of substrate removal varied between 71%-100% for the range of HLR and PLR studied.The fixed film unit showed better substrate removal efficiency than the aeration tank and was more resistant to substrate inhibition.The kinetic parameters related to both units of the reactor were evaluated and their variation with HLR and PLR were monitored.It revealed the presence of substrate inhibition at high PLR both in TF and AT unit.The biofilm model established the substrate concentration profile within the film by solving differential equation of substrate mass transfer using boundary problem solver tool 'bvp4c' of MATLAB 7.1 software.Response surface methodology was used to design and optimize the biodegradation process using Design Expert 8 software,where phenol and m-cresol concentrations,residence time were chosen as input variables and percentage of removal was the response.The design of experiment showed that a quadratic model could be fitted best for the present experimental study.Significant interaction of the residence time with the substrate concentrations was observed.The optimized condition for operating the reactor as predicted by the model was 230mg/L of phenol,190mg/L of m-cresol with residence time of 24.82 hr to achieve 99.92% substrate removal. | Sudipta Dey Somnath Mukherjee | 2013 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2013,25,4: | 2 |

| 18 | The role of phase impurities and lattice defects on the electron dynamics and photochemistry of CuFeO2 solar photocathodes显示文摘CuFeO2 is a promising photocathode for H2 evolution and CO2 reduction reactions.To better understand the complex defect chemistry and role of impurity phases in this material and their effect on the photochemical performance,we employ visible light transient absorption spectroscopy and density functional theory(DFT)calculations to investigate the electron dynamics in electrochemically deposited Cu-Fe oxide thin films.Kinetic analysis of carrier lifetime shows a fast,sub-ps contribution to relaxation followed by persistence of a Iong-lived state to time delays greater than 2 ns.Increasing amplitude of the Iong-lived state is shown to correlate with the rate of fast initial relaxation,and this is explained in terms of a competition between charge carrier trapping and charge separation.Charge separation in CuFeO2 occurs via hole thermalizati on from O 2p to Cu 3d vale nee band states leadi ng to segregatio n of electr ons and holes across layers in the CuFeO2 lattice.Correlation between transient absorption measurements and DFT calculations suggest that Cu vacancies enhanee photochemical performance by facilitating charge separation kinetics.In contrast,O interstitials are predicted to switch the relative positions of O 2p and Cu 3d vale nee band states,which would in hibit charge separatio n by in ter-band hole thermal izatio n.Fin ally,we find no evide nee for electron in jecti on from CuFeO2 to CuO suggest!ng that charge separati on at this heterostructure in terface does not play a role in the carrier lifetime or photochemical performance of the catalysts studied here. | Elizabeth A.
