| 2 | From octahedral structure motif to sub-nanosecond phase transitions in phase change materials for data storage显示文摘Phase change random access memory(PCRAM) has been successfully applied in the computer storage architecture, as storage class memory, to bridge the performance gap between DRAM and Flashbased solid-state drive due to its good scalability, 3 D-integration ability, fast operation speed and compatible with CMOS technology. Focusing on phase change materials and PCRAM for decades, we have successfully developed 128 Mb embedded PCRAM chips, which can meet the requirements of most embedded systems.3 D Xpoint(3 D PCRAM), invented by Intel and Micron, has been regarded as a new breakthrough in the last 25 years since the application of NAND in 1989, which represents state-of-the-art memory technology.This technology has some remarkable features, such as the confined device structure with 20 nm size, the metal crossbar electrodes to reduce the resistance variations in PCRAM arrays, and the ovonic threshold switching selector that can provide a high drive current and a low leakage current. A good understanding of phase change mechanism is of great help to design new phase change materials with fast operation speed,low power consumption and long-lifetime. In this paper, we firstly review the development of PCRAM and different understandings on phase change mechanisms in recent years, and then propose a new view on the mechanism, which is based on the octahedral structure motifs and vacancies. Octahedral structure motifs are generally found in both amorphous and crystalline phase change materials. They are considered to be the basic units during phase transition, which are severely defective in the amorphous phase. These configurations turn into more ordered ones after minor local rearrangements, the growth of which results in the crystallization of rocksalt(RS) phase with a large amount of vacancies in the cation sites. Further driven by thermodynamic driving force, these vacancies move and layer along certain directions; consequently, the metastable RS structure transforms into the stable hexagonal(HEX) structure. Based on our results, we find that reversible phase transition between amorphous phase and RS phase, without further changing into HEX phase, would greatly decrease the required power consumption. | 3 | Vitamin B6 regulates IL-33 homeostasis to alleviate type 2 inflammation显示文摘Interleukin-33(IL-33)is a crucial nuclear cytokine that induces the type 2 immune response and maintains immune homeostasis.The fine-tuned regulation of IL-33 in tissue cells is critical to control of the type 2 immune response in airway inflammation,but the mechanism is still unclear.Here,we found that healthy individuals had higher phosphate-pyridoxal(PLP,an active form of vitamin B6)concentrations in the serum than asthma patients.Lower serum PLP concentrations in asthma patients were strongly associated with worse lung function and inflammation.In a mouse model of lung inflammation,we revealed that PLP alleviated the type 2 immune response and that this inhibitory effect relied on the activity of IL-33.A mechanistic study showed that in vivo,pyridoxal(PL)needed to be converted into PLP,which inhibited the type 2 response by regulating IL-33 stability.In mice heterozygous for pyridoxal kinase(PDXK),the conversion of PL to PLP was limited,and IL-33 levels were increased in the lungs,aggravating type 2 inflammation.Furthermore,we found that the mouse double minute 2 homolog(MDM2)protein,an E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase,could ubiquitinate the N-terminus of IL-33 and sustain IL-33 stability in epithelial cells.PLP reduced MDM2-mediated IL-33 polyubiquitination and decreased the level of IL-33 through the proteasome pathway.In addition,inhalation of PLP alleviated asthma-related effects in mouse models.In summary,our data indicate that vitamin B6 regulates MDM2-mediated IL-33 stability to constrain the type 2 response,which might help develop a potential preventive and therapeutic agent for allergy-related diseases. | Songling Zhu Shufen Zhong Kebin Cheng Li-Sha Zhang Jiu-wu Bai Zu Cao Su Wang Wen Chen Shipeng Cheng Liyan Ma Zhiyang Ling Yuying Huang Wangpeng Gu Xiaoyu Sun Chunyan Yi Meng Zhao Shuo Liang Jin-Fu Xu Bing Sun Yaguang Zhang | 2023 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2023,20,7: | 1 |
| 4 | Anti-PD-L1 antibody enhances curative effect of cryoablation via antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity mediating PD-L1^(high)CD11b^(+)cells elimination in hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘Cryoablation(CRA)and microwave ablation(MWA)are two main local treatments for hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).However,which one is more curative and suitable for combining with immunotherapy is still controversial.Herein,CRA induced higher tumoral PD-L1 expression and more T cells infiltration,but less PD-L1^(high)CD11b^(+)myeloid cells infiltration than MWA in HCC.Furthermore,CRA had better curative effect than MWA for anti-PD-L1 combination therapy in mouse models.Mechanistically,anti-PD-L1 antibody facilitated infiltration of CD8^(+)T cells by enhancing the secretion of CXCL9 from cDC1 cells after CRA therapy.On the other hand,anti-PD-L1 antibody promoted the infiltration of NK cells to eliminate PD-L1^(high)CD11b^(+)myeloid cells by antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity(ADCC)effect after CRA therapy.Both aspects relieved the immunosuppressive microenvironment after CRA therapy.Notably,the wild-type PD-L1 Avelumab(Bavencio),compared to the mutant PD-L1 atezolizumab(Tecentriq),was better at inducing the ADCC effect to target PD-L1^(high)CD11b^(+)myeloid cells.Collectively,our study uncovered the novel insights that CRA showed superior curative effect than MWA in combining with anti-PD-L1 antibody by strengthening CTL/NK cell immune responses,which provided a strong rationale for combining CRA and PD-L1 blockade in the clinical treatment for HCC. | Jizhou Tan Ting Liu Wenzhe Fan Jialiang Wei Bowen Zhu Yafang Liu Lingwei Liu Xiaokai Zhang Songling Chen Haibiao Lin Yuanqing Zhang Jiaping Li | 2023 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2023,13,2: | 0 |

| 6 | Study on the Phenotypic Mutation Generated from ^(60)Coγ-ray Irradiated Oxlias triangularis Purpurea Regeneration System显示文摘Mutations induced from tissue culture are easily to be separated,which might be propagated in the same medium,especially for the color-leaf ornamental grass,Oxalis triaggularis purpurea.Mutations of the ornamental traits in the tissue culture bottle could be investigated easily.The 35 d regeneration system group showed the lowest adventitious bud number and adventitious root number among 4 inoculation dates by 50 Gy dose of ^(60)Coγ radiation.More studies were carried out based on the 35d differentiation state of O.triangularis purpurea regeneration system.The 35 d regeneration system was then irradiated by 10,25 and 50 Gy doses of ^(60)Coγ rays.Numbers of adventitious buds and roots induced from the regeneration system were cut down with the increment of radiation doses.Seedling length was not distinctly reduced at the absorbed doses of 10 and 25 Gy,but reduced distinctly under 50 Gy of ^(60)Coγ irradiation.The optimal irradiation dose for 35 d O.triangularis regeneration system survival and mutation induction was approximately 25 Gy.The M_2 phenotypic mutation rate was 2.9%,especially,and the leaf number mutation accounted for 76%of the total mutation.The phenotypic mutations,especially in the 10 Gy group,on 0.1 m M Vc containing MS medium were recovered,which indicated that ROS plays a key role in the phenotypic mutation induced by ^(60)Coγ -rays. | Jie REN Qi ZHU Yanqiong MENG Fei TANG Yun XUAN Dan SHI Jingjing WANG Yongjin DENG Songling FU | 2017 | Agricultural Science & Technology2017,18,5: | 0 |
