| 1 | Outline of the Report on Cardiovascular Disease in China,2010显示文摘Major and profound changes have taken place in China over the past 30 years.Rapid socioeconomic progress has exerted a great impact on lifestyle,ranging from food,clothing,working and living conditions,and means of transportation to leisure activities and entertainment.At the same time,new health problems have emerged,and health services are facing new challenges.Presently,cardiovascular diseases (CVD) are among the top health problems of the Chinese people,and pose a serious challenge to all engaged in the prevention and control of these diseases.An epidemic of CVD in China is emerging as a result of lifestyle changes,urbanization and longevity.Both national policy decision-making and medical practice urgently need an authoritative report which comprehensively reflects the trends in the epidemic of CVD and current preventive measures.Since 2005,guided by the Bureau of Disease Prevention of the Ministry of Health of the People's Republic of China and the National Center for Cardiovascular Diseases of China,nationwide experts in the fields of epidemiology,clinical medicine and health economics in the realms of CVD,cerebrovascular disease,diabetes and chronic kidney disease,completed the Report on Cardiovascular Diseases in China every year.The report aims to provide a timely review of the trend of the epidemic and to assess the progress of prevention and control of CVD.In addition,as the report is authoritative,representative and readable,it will become an information platform in the CVD field and an important reference book for government,academic institutes,medical organizations and clinical physicians.This publication is expected to play a positive role in the prevention and control of CVD in China.We present an abstract from the Report on Cardiovascular Diseases in China (2010),including trends in CVD,morbidity and mortality of major CVDs,up-to-date assessment of risk factors,as well as health resources for CVD,and a profile of medical expenditure,with the aim of providing evidence for decision-making in CVD prevention and control programs in China,and of delivering the most authoritative information on CVD prevention and control for all citizens. | HUSheng Shou KONG Ling Zhi GAO Run Lin ZHU Man Lu WANG Wen WANG Yong Jun WU Zhao Su CHEN Wei Wei LIU Ming Bo For the editorial board | 2012 | Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2012,25,3: | 93 |

| 3 | Effect of Heat Treatment on Microstructure and Property of Cr13 Super Martensitic Stainless Steel显示文摘The microstructures and mechanical properties of Cr13 super martensitic stainless steel after different heat treatments were studied. The results show that the structures of the steel after quenching are of lath martensite mixed with a small amount of retained austenite. With the raising quenching temperature, the original austenite grain size increases and the lath martensite gradually becomes thicker. The structures of the tempered steel are mixtures of tempered martensite and reversed austenite dispersed in the martensite matrix. The amount of reversed austenite is from 7.54% to 22.49%. After different heat treatments, the tensile strength, the elongation and the HRC hardness of the steel are in the range of 813-1 070 MPa, 10.1%-21.2% and 21.33-32.37, respectively. | 10 | Autoantibody to MOG suggests two distinct clinical subtypes of NMOSD显示文摘We characterized a unique group of patients with neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder(NMOSD) who carried autoantibodies of aquaporin-4(AQP4) and myelin-oligodendrocyte glycoprotein(MOG). Among the 125 NMOSD patients, 10(8.0%) were AQP4- and MOG-ab double positive, and 14(11.2%) were MOG-ab single positive. The double-positive patients had a multiphase disease course with a high annual relapse rate(P=0.0431), and severe residual disability(P<0.0001). Of the double-positive patients, 70% had MS-like brain lesions, more severe edematous, multifocal regions on spinal magnetic resonance imaging(MRI), pronounced decreases of retinal nerve fiber layer thickness and atrophy of optic nerves. In contrast, patients with only MOG-ab had a higher ratio of monophasic disease course and mild residual disability. Spinal cord MRI illustrated multifocal cord lesions with mild edema, and brain MRIs showed more lesions around lateral ventricles. NMOSD patients carrying both autoantibodies to AQP4 and MOG existed and exhibited combined features of prototypic NMO and relapsing-remitting form of MS, whereas NMOSD with antibodies to MOG only exhibited an 'intermediate' phenotype between NMOSD and MS. | 16 | Study on gob-side entry retaining in fully-mechanized longwall with top-coal caving and its application显示文摘Based on the engineering background of gob-side entry retaining in fully-mechanized longwall with top coal caving(GER-FLTC) on N2105 working face of Yuwu coal mine, by adopting the methods of theoretical analysis and numerical calculation, the control techniques of surrounding rocks in GER-FLTC working face are studied in this paper. The two main difficulties of stability of surrounding rocks at gob-side retained entry in fully-mechanized longwall working face are the stability control of top coal and control of large deformation of GER-FLTC working face. Interaction mechanical model between roofing and roadside backfilling in GER-FLTC is established and the equations for the calculation of roof-cutting resistance of roadside backfilling are derived. Results of numerical calculation show that the damage zones of top coal can be categorized into the delaminating zone of top coal above the backfilling, tensile damage zone of top coal above the retained roadway and shear damage zone of the upper rib of the solid coal. Stability control of top coal is the critical part to success of GER-FLTC. With consideration of large deformation of surrounding rocks of gob-side retained entry in fully-mechanized longwall, the support technique of‘‘roofing control and wall strengthening'' is proposed where high strength and highly prestressed anchor rods and diagonal tensile anchor cables support are used for top coal, high strength and highly prestressed yielding anchor rod support is used for solid coal and roadside prestressed load-carrying backfilling is constructed by high-water material, in order to maintain the integrity of the top coal, transfer load, high resistance yielding load-carrying of solid coal, roof-cutting of roadside backfilling and support,and to achieve GER-FLTC. | 17 | Motor function outcomes of pediatric patients with hemiplegic cerebral palsy after rehabilitation treatment:a diffusion tensor imaging study显示文摘Previous diffusion tensor imaging(DTI) studies regarding pediatric patients with motor dysfunction have confirmed the correlation between DTI parameters of the injured corticospinal tract and the severity of motor dysfunction. There is also evidence that DTI parameters can help predict the prognosis of motor function of patients with cerebral palsy. But few studies are reported on the DTI parameters that can reflect the motor function outcomes of pediatric patients with hemiplegic cerebral palsy after rehabilitation treatment. In the present study, 36 pediatric patients with hemiplegic cerebral palsy were included. Before and after rehabilitation treatment, DTI was used to measure the fiber number(FN), fractional anisotropy(FA) and apparent diffusion coefficient(ADC) of bilateral corticospinal tracts. Functional Level of Hemiplegia scale(Fx L) was used to assess the therapeutic effect of rehabilitative therapy on clinical hemiplegia. Correlation analysis was performed to assess the statistical interrelationship between the change amount of DTI parameters and Fx L. DTI findings obtained at the initial and follow-up evaluations demonstrated that more affected corticospinal tract yielded significantly decreased FN and FA values and significantly increased ADC value compared to the less affected corticospinal tract. Correlation analysis results showed that the change amount of Fx L was positively correlated to FN and FA values, and the correlation to FN was stronger than the correlation to FA. | 20 | Preoperative colonoscopy through the colonic stent in patients with colorectal cancer obstruction显示文摘AIM:To evaluate the feasibility of a preoperative colonoscopy through a self-expendable metallic stent(SEMS)and to identify the factors that affect complete colonoscopy.METHODS:A total of 48 patients who had SEMS placement because of acute malignant colonic obstruction underwent preoperative colonoscopy.After effective SEMS placement,patients who showed complete resolution of radiological findings and clinical signs of acute colon obstruction underwent a standard bowel preparation.Preoperative colonoscopy was then performed using a standard colonoscope.If the passage of colonoscope was not feasible gastroscope was used.After colonoscopy,cecal intubation time,grade of bowel preparation,tumor location,stent location,presence of synchronous polyps or cancer,damage to colonoscopy and bleeding,and stent migration after colonoscopy were recorded.RESULTS:Complete evaluation with colonoscope was possible in 30 patients(62.5%).In this group,adenoma was detected in 13 patients(43.3%).The factors that affected complete colonoscopy were also analyzed:Tumor location at an angle;stent placement at an angle;and stent expansion diameter,which affected complete colonoscopy significantly.However in multivariate analysis,stent expansion diameter was the only significant factor that affected complete colonoscopy.Complete evaluation using additional gastroscope was feasible in 42 patients(87.5%).CONCLUSION:Preoperative colonoscopy through the colonic stent using only conventional colonoscope was unfavorable.The narrow expansion diameter of the stent may predict unfavorable outcome.In such a case,using small caliber scope should be considered and may expect successful outcome. | Jin Su Kim Kang Moon Lee Sang Woo Kim Eun Jung Kim Chul Hyun Lim Seong Taek Oh Myung Gyu Choi Kyu Yong Choi | 2014 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2014,20,30: | 11 |
