1Variation characteristics of heavy metals and nutrients in the core sediments of Taihu Lake and their pollution history显示文摘The sedimentary environment change, trophic evolution and heavy metals pollution history of the northern Taihu Lake in the last 100 years are studied according to the sedimentary geochemical proxies of the core sediments, such as grain size, nutrients, heavy metals, diatom, etc. The nutrients in the sediments depended mainly on the lake internal circulation and the heavy metals were from natural geogenic sources before the 1920s, which were not influenced by human activities generally, and grain size was one of the key factors influencing heavy metals content in the sediments.The alternation of manner and strength of human activities in Taihu Lake catchment before and after the 1920s made the lake sediments coarser, and hence heavy metals and TP content decreased contrasted with that before the 1920s. TP content in sediments and water increased from the 1950s to late 1970s due to anthropogenic pollutants discharge, and the lake belonging to mesotrophic state.TN and TOC content and C/N ratio increased due to the increasing external pollutants into Taihu Lake by human activities, TP content also increased obviously in water and sediments, and the diatom association was dominated by eutrophic species since the late 1970s, indicating the eutrophication state of Taihu Lake in this period. Meanwhile the increasing in heavy metals content, such as Cu, Mn,Ni, Pb and Zn, and their proportion of valid fractions in the sediments indicates that they all result from human pollutants since the late 1970s. 2Spatio-temporal variations of the bacterioplankton community composition in Chaohu Lake, China显示文摘Despite considerable attention paid to Chaohu Lake in China, the dynamics of bacterioplankton community composition (BCC) on spatial and seasonal scales are poorly understood.In this study, water samples were collected from autumn 2006 to summer 2007 at five positions in Chaohu Lake with difierent trophic status.BCC of these samples was determined by both the PCR amplification of the 16S rDNA gene and the denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis (DGGE).The abundance and diversity of bacterioplankton communities at difierent sampling positions showed similar seasonal patterns.The BCCs in the samples varied substantially, and the pattern of changes indicated that the seasonal difierence might have a significant impact on the BCC's structure in the lake.Canonical correspondence anal-ysis (CCA) on the DGGE patterns and physicochemical parameters indicated that the temperature and the levels of 5-d biochemical O2 demand (BOD5), NH3-N, CODMn, total nitrogen, total phosphorous, and dissolved oxygen significantly infiuenced the BCC, and four of the seven variables were related to the level of eutrophication.Our results indicate that eutrophic status and season are the most infiu-ential factors in determining BCC in Chaohu Lake.Chaoling Wei Sumin Bao Xinyan Zhu Xiangming Huang 2008Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2008,18,9:9
3Quantitative reconstruction of the paleosalinity in the Daihai Lake,Inner Mongolia,China显示文摘Ostracods are small bivalved aquatic crustaceans. They secrete shells of low-Mg calcite that are often preserved in lake sediments. Recent work has shown that the uptake of trace elements (especially Mg and Sr) into the shell may be a function of the salinity and temperature of the host water. We measured Sr/Ca ratios in living ostracod valves from the species of genus Limnocythere cf. inopinata and Sr2+/Ca2+ ratios of the host water to calculate distribution coefficient of genus Limnocythere cf. inopinata in the Daihai Lake. A function for Sr2+/Ca2+ ratio and salinity was established by measuring a series of Sr2+/Ca2+ ratios and salinities of the lake water in different places of the Daihai Lake. 19Effect of fine solid particles on absorption rate of gaseous CO_(2)显示文摘The influence of the properties of solid particles in slurry on the absorption of CO_(2) in the slurry was inves-tigated in a stirred thermostatic reactor.The absorption experiments were carried out in three different slurries con-sisting of water,cyclohexane and soybean oil,respectively,and three kinds of solid particles(active carbon,active alu-mina and silica gel)were incorporated into each of the above mentioned slurries separately.The experimental results show that the active carbon particles could enhance the absorption rate of gaseous CO_(2) in the aqueous slurry,while in the cyclohexane slurry,active carbon particles indi-cated no the absorption enhancement effect.However,it was observed that the active alumina and silica gel particles could enhance the absorption rate of CO_(2) in the cyclohex-ane slurry.These phenomena indicate that the solid part-icles,which could enhance the gaseous CO_(2) absorption rate,should possess two properties simultaneously,i.e.they rejected the solvent and had higher adsorption capacity for the solute.The experimental results also show that,as for those solid particles which could enhance the gas absorption rate,the enhancement increased quickly with the increase of solid concentration in slurry at first,and then reached a constant value gradually.It was also found that the enhancement factor was related to the coverage fraction of solid particles on the gas-liquid interface,and due to the reduction of surface fraction with increasing stirred speed,the enhancement factor decreased.Sumin LU Youguang MA Shuhua SHEN Chunying ZHU 2008Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering2008,2,4:0
20Towards wearable and implantable continuous drug monitoring:A review显示文摘Continuous drug monitoring is a promising alternative to current therapeutic drug monitoring strategies and has a strong potential to reshape our understanding of pharmacokinetic variability and to improve individualised therapy.This review highlights recent advances in biosensing technologies that support continuous drug monitoring in real time.We focus primarily on aptamer-based biosensors,wearable and implantable devices.Emphasis is given to the approaches employed in constructing biosensors.We pay attention to sensors’biocompatibility,calibration performance,long-term characteristics stability and measurement quality.Last,we discuss the current challenges and issues to be addressed in continuous drug monitoring to make it a promising,future tool for individualised therapy.The ongoing efforts are expected to result in fully integrated implantable drug biosensing technology.Thus,we may anticipate an era of advanced healthcare in which wearable and implantable biochips will automatically adjust drug dosing in response to patient health conditions,thus enabling the management of diseases and enhancing individualised therapy.Sumin Bian Bowen Zhu Guoguang Rong Mohamad Sawan 2021Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis2021,11,1:0
