1Research progress of disinfection and disinfection by-products in China显示文摘Disinfection is an indispensable water treatment process for killing harmful pathogens and protecting human health. However, the disinfection has caused significant public concern due to the formation of toxic disinfection by-products(DBPs). Lots of studies on disinfection and DBPs have been performed in the world since 1974. Although related studies in China started in1980 s, a great progress has been achieved during the last three decades. Therefore, this review summarized the main achievements on disinfection and DPBs studies in China, which included:(1) the occurrence of DBPs in water of China,(2) the identification and detection methods of DBPs,(3) the formation mechanisms of DBPs during disinfection process,(4) the toxicological effects and epidemiological surveys of DBPs,(5) the control and management countermeasures of DBPs in water disinfection, and(6) the challenges and chances of DBPs studies in future. 2The transient fracture behavior for a functionally graded layered structure subjected to an in-plane impact load显示文摘The transient fracture behavior of a functionally graded layered structure subjected to an in-plane impact load is investigated. The studied structure is composed of two homogeneous layers and a functionally graded interlayer with a crack perpendicular to the boundaries. The impact load is applied on the face of the crack. Fourier transform and Laplace transform methods are used to formulate the present problem in terms of a singular integral equation in Laplace transform domain. 4The chlorination transformation characteristics of benzophenone-4 in the presence of iodide ions显示文摘Benzophenone-type UV filters are a group of compounds widely used to protect human skin from damage of UV irradiation. Benzophenone-4(BP-4) was targeted to explore its transformation behaviors during chlorination disinfection treatment in the presence of iodide ions. With the help of ultra performance liquid phase chromatograph and high-resolution quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometer, totally fifteen halogenated products were identified, and five out of them were iodinated products. The transformation mechanisms of BP-4 involved electrophilic substitution generating mono-or di-halogenated products,which would be oxidized into esters and further hydrolyzed into phenolic derivatives. The desulfonation and decarboxylation were observed in chlorination system either. Obeying the transformation pathways, five iodinated products formed. The p H conditions of chlorination system determined the reaction types of transformation and corresponding species of products. The more important was that, the acute toxicity had significant increase after chlorination treatment on BP-4, especially in the presence of iodide ions. 5Electrochemical Study of Hypophosphite显示文摘Electrochemical behavior of hypophosphite was studied with cyclic voltammogram in acidic solution(pH = 4.6) at 80℃. Two anodic peaks were observed on gold electrode at - 0.44V and - 0.59 V (SCE),respectively, and no corresponding cathodic peaks were obtained. The one at - 0.44 V wits ascribed to the oxidation oftautomeric form of hypophosphite, the other at - 0.59 V was due to the oxidation of absorbed form of hypophosphite. 13High-fidelity structured illumination microscopy by point-spread-function engineering显示文摘Structured illumination microscopy(SIM)has become a widely used tool for insight into biomedical challenges due to its rapid,long-term,and super-resolution(SR)imaging.However,artifacts that often appear in SIM images have long brought into question its fidelity,and might cause misinterpretation of biological structures.We present HiFi-SIM,a high-fidelity SIM reconstruction algorithm,by engineering the effective point spread function(PSF)into an ideal form.HiFi-SIM can effectively reduce commonly seen artifacts without loss of fine structures and improve the axial sectioning for samples with strong background.In particular,HiFi-SIM is not sensitive to the commonly used PSF and reconstruction parameters;hence,it lowers the requirements for dedicated PSF calibration and complicated parameter adjustment,thus promoting SIM as a daily imaging tool.Gang Wen Simin Li Unbo Wang Xiaohu Chen Zhenglong Sun Yong Liang Xin Jin Yifan Xing Yaming jiu Yuguo Tang Hui Li 2021Light(Science & Applications)2021,10,5:1
14Synthesis and Structure Study of Molybdenum Complex Mo[o-NHCOCH_3-m-NO_2C_6H_3COOH]_2_O2Cl_2·PhCl显示文摘The crystal and molecular structures of molybdenum complex, Mo [ o- NHCOCH3- m-NO2C6H3COOH]2O2Cl2.PhCl are reported. The crystal belongs to space group Cc of monoclinic system with unit cell parameters:α= 11. 214 (3) A .b= 19. 544 (4 ) A . c = 14. 091 (6) A .β=94.06(3)°,V’=3080.3 A3 and Z=4. The structure was refined to R=0. 061.The coordination number for the Mo atom Is six. The coordination polyhedron formed by four O atoms and two Cl atoms around the Mo atom is a distorted octahedron. Four O atoms and one Mo atom construct a plane. Two benzyl planes in coordinate groups and the benzyl plane of solvent are almost parallel. The quantum-chemical calculations were carried out. There are hydrogen bonds in the Complex. 15Analysis on Competitiveness of China's Refineries显示文摘The paper reviewed the refining and marketing business of both domestic and international oil companies, and tried to figure out the gap of domestic refining enterprises in terms of the refinery scale,processing unit configuration, stream factor and competitive edge as compared to overseas refineries. 17Intersex is required for female sexual development in Hermetia illucens显示文摘Sex-determination pathways are extremely diverse.Understanding the mechanism of sex determination in insects is important for genetic manipulation of the pest population and for breeding of economically valuable insects.Although sex determi-nation has been well characterized in the model species Drosophila melanogaster,little is known about this pathway in Stratiomyidae.In the present study,we first identified the Drosophila intersex(ix)homolog in Hermetia illucens,also known as the black soldier fly,which belongs to the Stratiomyidae family and which is an important insect for the con-version of various organic wastes.Phylogenetic analyses and multiple sequence alignment revealed that Hix is conserved compared with Drosophila.We showed that Hix is highly expressed in internal genitalia.Disruption of the Hix gene using CRISPR/Cas9 resulted in female-specific defects in external genitalia and abnormal and undersized ovaries.Taken together,our study furthers our understanding of sex determination in insects and could facilitatebreedingof H.illucens.Bihui Chen Zongqing Kou Yuguo Jiang Xingyu Luo Peili Li Kaj Sun Weiwei Wang Yongping Huang Yaohui Wang 2023Insect Science2023,30,4:0
