3Comparison study on the annealing behaviors of dispersion strengthened copper alloys with different nanoparticles显示文摘The hardness measurement,optical microscopy (OM),and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) microstruc-ture observation on the annealing behaviors of Cu-Al2O3 (2.25 vol.% and 0.54 vol.% Al2O3) and Cu-0.52vol.%Nb alloys were carried out. The results show that with the increase of annealing temperature,the hardness of Cu-Al2O3 alloys de-creases slowly. No change of the fiber structure formed by cold rolling in the Cu-2.25vol.%Al2O3 alloy is observed even af-ter annealing at 900°C,and the higher dislocation density can still be observed by TEM. Less combination of fiber formed by cold rolling and subgrains are observed in the Cu-0.54vol.%Al2O3 alloy annealed at 900°C. With the increase of anneal-ing temperature,the hardness of the Cu-0.52vol.%Nb alloy exhibits a general decreasing trend,and its falling rate is higher than that of the Cu-Al2O3 alloys,indicating that its ability of resistance to softening at elevated temperature is weaker than that of the Cu-Al2O3 alloys. However,when annealed at a temperature of 300-400°C,probably owing to the precipitation strengthening of niobium,the hardness of the Cu-0.52vol.%Nb alloy arises slightly. 8Preparation of Long Alumina Fibers in Aqueous Solution Using Oxalic Acid and Aluminum Nitrate显示文摘Long alumina fibers with 60 cm in length were prepared by sol-gel method. The spinning sol was obtained by mixing aluminum nitrate, oxalic acid, and polyvinylpyrrolidone with a mass ratio of 10∶3∶2. Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectra, X-ray diffraction (XRD), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) were used to characterize the properties of the gel and ceramic fibers. 10Recent progress in additive manufacturing of bulk MAX phase components:A review显示文摘The MAX phases are a group of layered ternary,quaternary,or quinary compounds with characteristics of both metals and ceramics.Over recent decades,the synthesis of bulk MAX phase parts for wider engineering applications has gained increasing attention in aerospace,nuclear,and defence industries.The recent adoption of additive manufacturing(AM)technologies in MAX phase fabrication is a step forward in this field.This work overviews the recent progress in additive manufacturing(AM)of bulk MAX phases along with the achieved geometric features,microstructures,and properties after briefing the conventional powder sintering methods of fabricating MAX phase components.Critical challenges associated with these innovative AM-based methods,including,poor AM processability,low MAX phase purity,and insufficient geometric accuracy of the final parts,are also discussed.Accordingly,outlooks for the immediate future in this area are discussed based on the optimization of present fabrication routes and the potential of other AM technologies.Qiyang Tan Wyman Zhuang Marco Attia Richard Djugum Mingxing Zhang 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,36:0
