| 2 | Occurrence, spatial distribution and ecological risks of antibiotics in soil in urban agglomeration显示文摘Antibiotics in soil environment are regarded as emerging pollutants and have introduced increasing risks to soil ecosystem and human health in rapid urbanization areas. Identifying the occurrence and spatial variability of antibiotics in soils is an urgent issue in sustaining soil security. In this study, antibiotics in soils were investigated and analyzed in BeijingTianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration. The occurrence, spatial distribution, and related affecting factors of antibiotics in soils were identified and ecological risks of antibiotics in soil environment were assessed. Results showed that(1) The mean concentration of soil antibiotics in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration was 21.79 μg/kg. Land use substantially affected the occurrence and concentration of antibiotics in soils. Concentrations of antibiotics in cropland and orchard soils were 2-3 times higher than the other land use types.(2)The concentrations of antibiotics in soils in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration presented a spatial pattern of high values in southeast, and low values in northwest. Spatial variability of antibiotics in soils was closely related to the application of organic fertilizer and wastewater irrigation as well as topographical features. Furthermore, soil properties and land management policy had substantial influences on soil antibiotics, and soil heavy metals may aggravate the accumulation of antibiotics in soils.(3) Ecological risks assessment of antibiotics in soils demonstrated that erythromycin(ERY), sulfamethoxazole(SMX), and doxycycline(DOX) may introduce high risks to soil ecosystem health, and more attention should be paid to the areas with intensive human activities that had potential high risk to soil ecosystem health. | 3 | Inhibition of gasdermin D-dependent pyroptosis attenuates the progression of silica-induced pulmonary inflammation and fibrosis显示文摘Silicosis is a leading cause of occupational disease-related morbidity and mortality worldwide,but the molecular basis underlying its development remains unclear.An accumulating body of evidence supports gasdermin D(GSDMD)-mediated pyroptosis as a key component in the development of various pulmonary diseases.However,there is little experimental evidence connecting silicosis and GSDMD-driven pyroptosis.In this work,we investigated the role of GSDMD-mediated pyroptosis in silicosis.Single-cell RNA sequencing of healthy and silicosis human and murine lung tissues indicated that GSDMD-induced pyroptosis in macrophages was relevant to silicosis progression.Through microscopy we then observed morphological alterations of pyroptosis in macrophages treated with silica.Measurement of interleukin-1βrelease,lactic dehydrogenase activity,and real-time propidium iodide staining further revealed that silica induced pyroptosis of macrophages.Additionally,we verified that both canonical(caspase-1-mediated)and non-canonical(caspase-4/5/11-mediated)signaling pathways mediated silica-induced pyroptosis activation,in vivo and in vitro.Notably,Gsdmd knockout mice exhibited dramatically alleviated silicosis phenotypes,which highlighted the pivotal role of pyroptosis in this disease.Taken together,our results demonstrated that macrophages underwent GSDMD-dependent pyroptosis in silicosis and inhibition of this process could serve as a viable clinical strategy for mitigating silicosis. | Meiyue Song Jiaxin Wang Youliang Sun Junling Pang Xiaona Li Yuan Liu Yitian Zhou Peiran Yang Tianhui Fan Ying Liu Zhaoguo Li Xianmei Qi Baicun Li Xinri Zhang Jing Wang Chen Wang | 2022 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2022,12,3: | 5 |
| 4 | Safety and effectiveness of Traditional Chinese Medicinal herbs for diabetic foot:a systematic review and Meta-analysis显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the safety and effectiveness of traditional Chinese medicinal herbs(TCMHs) as an adjunctive treatment for diabetic foot(DF).METHODS: The sources used were Pub Med(1966 to August 2015), the Cochrane Library(1988 to August 2015), the Excerpta Medica Database(1974 to August 2015), Wiley(1807 to August 2015), Ovid(1988 to August 2015), Clinical Trials.gov(1993 to August 2015), the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials(1966 to August 2015), China Science and Technology Journal Database(1994 to August2015), Chi CTR(2007 to August 2015), Sino Med(1978 to August 2015), the China National Knowledge Infrastructure(1984 to August 2015), Wanfang Data Knowledge Service Platform(1998 to August 2015), and the Traditional Chinese Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System(TCMLARS)(1984 to August 2015). Studies were identified and selected, and the data were extracted by two independent reviewers. The Cochrane Risk of Bias tool was used to assess the quality of studies. Revman 5.2 software was used for data synthesis and analysis.RESULTS: Sixteen studies were included based on the selection criteria. Of these, seven studies had low bias risk and one had high bias risk. In the overall analysis, TCMHs resulted in a significantly higher total effective rate(OR 5.08; 95% CI 3.50 to7.36; P < 0.000 01), cure rate(OR 2.12; 95% CI1.63 to 2.77; P < 0.000 01), and shorter time to ulcer healing(SMD-0.64; 95% CI-0.89 to-0.40;P < 0.000 01) when compared with non-TCMHs treated DF. The analysis also revealed that significantly fewer amputations occurred in TCMHs patients(OR 0.36; 95% CI 0.20 to 0.65; P = 0.0007).Sensitivity analysis indicated that the findings of the Meta-analysis were robust to study quality,and the funnel plot of the Egger test showed no publication bias.CONCLUSION: TCMHs intervention appears to be more effective for DF, with a similar safety profile,when compared with non-TCMHs treatments, although this result requires further verification with more well-designed studies. | Chen Shuo Ma Jianwei Xu Limei Niu Tianhui Dong Jing Liu Wenjun Han Qi | 2017 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2017,37,6: | 5 |
| 5 | Collaborative supply chain planning under dynamic lot sizing costs with capacity decision显示文摘Studies show that supply chain cooperation improves supply chain performance. However, it remains a challenge to develop and implement the realistic supply chain cooperation scheme. We investigate a two-echelon supply chain planning problem with capacity acquisition decision under asymmetric cost and demand information. A simple negotiation-based coordination mechanism is developed to synchronize production/order strategies of a supplier and a buyer. The coordination scheme shows how the supplier and the buyer modify their production and order policy in order to find a joint economic lot sizing plan, which saves the overall supply chain cost. The allocation of the cooperation benefit is determined by negotiation. Due to the complexity of the multiple periods, multiple level supply chain lot sizing with capacity decision, a heuristic algorithm is developed to find coordination solutions. | 7 | Enhancing oxygen evolution reaction by cationic surfactants显示文摘Oxygen evolution reaction is critical for water splitting or metal-air batteries,but previous research mainly focuses on electrode material or structure optimization.Herein,we demonstrate that surfactant modification of a NiFe layered double hydroxide (LDH) array electrode,one of the best catalysts for oxygen evolution reaction (OER),could achieve superaerophobic surface with balanced surface charges,affording fast mass transfer,quick gas release,and boosted OER performance.The assembled surfactants on the electrode surface are responsible for lowering the bubble adhesive force (~ 1.03 μN) and corresponding fast release of small bubbles generated during OER.In addition,the bipolar nature of the hexadecyl trimethyl ammonium bromide (CTAB) molecule lead to bilayer assembly of the surfactants with the polar ends facing the electrode surface and the electrolyte,resulting in neutralized charges on the electrode surface.As a result,OH-transfer was facilitated and OER performance was enhanced.With the modified superaerophobic surface and balanced surface charge,NiFe LDHs-CTAB nanostructured electrode showed ultrahigh current density increase (9.39 mA(mV·cm^2)),2.3 times higher than that for conventional NiFe LDH nanoarray electrode),dramatically fast gas release,and excellent durability.The introduction of surfactants to construct under-water superaerophobic electrode with in-time repelling ability to the as-formed gas bubbles may open up a new pathway for designing efficient electrodes for gas evolution systems with potentially practical application in the near future. | Qixian Xie Daojin Zhou Pengsong Li Zhao Cai Tianhui Xie Tengfei Gao Ruida Chen Yun Kuang Xiaoming Sun | 2019 | Nano Research2019,12,9: | 3 |
| 8 | A potential approach to replace sulfurized olefins with borate ester containing xanthate group in lubricating oil显示文摘To develop a potential substitute for sulfurized olefins, a borate ester derivative containing xanthate group (titled BXT) was synthesized and characterized. Meanwhile, its tribological properties in rape-seed oil were evaluated using four-ball tribometer. The results indicate that BXT shows excellent tri-bological capacity such as load-carrying, friction-reducing and antiwear property. Moreover, the syn-thesized compound has no noticeable odor, shows little corrosion to copper, and exhibits better ther-mal stability compared with sulfurized olefins.
