1Effects of dietary yeast β-glucan on nutrient digestibility and serum profiles in pre-ruminant Holstein calves显示文摘This study aimed to investigate the effects of dietary supplementation of yeast β-glucan on the nutrient digestibility and serum profiles in pre-ruminant Holstein calves. Forty-two neonatal Holstein calves((39.6±4.2) kg) were randomly allotted to six groups, and each was offered one of the following diets: a basal diet(control) or the basal diet supplemented with 25, 50, 75, 100 or 200 mg of yeast β-glucan kg–1 feed(dry matter basis). The basal diet consisted of a milk replacer and a starter feed. The trial lasted for 56 d. Two digestibility trials were conducted from d 14 to 20 and from d 42 to 48. Blood samples were collected on d 0, 14, 28 and 42 for serum profile analyses. On d 56, three calves from each group were slaughtered, and intestinal samples were collected to assess the villous height, crypt depth and mucosal thickness. Although feed intake was not affected by dietary treatment(P>0.05), the average daily gain(ADG) and gain-to-feed ratios were higher(P<0.05) for the calves fed 75 mg of yeast β-glucan kg–1 feed than those in the other groups. The supplementation of yeast β-glucan at 75 mg kg–1 feed increased the apparent digestibility of dry matter(DM), crude protein(CP), ether extract(EE), and phosphorus(P)(P<0.05) and the ratio of intestinal villous height to crypt depth(V/C)(P<0.05) when compared with the control group. No effects of yeast β-glucan on the serum concentrations of total protein(TP), albumin(ALB), serum urea nitrogen(SUN) and glucose(GLU) were observed(P>0.05). Compared with the control group, supplementation of yeast β-glucan decreased(P<0.05) the serum concentrations of triglycerides(TG) and total cholesterol(TC). The serum concentration of immunoglobulin G(Ig G) and immunoglobulin M(Ig M) increased quadratically(P<0.05), whereas the serum concentration of immunoglobulin A(Ig A) was unaffected by dietary treatments(P>0.05). The supplementation of yeast β-glucan stimulated the enzymatic activity of alkaline phosphatase(ALP)(P<0.05) compared with the control group. The lysozyme(LYZ) concentration increased quadratically(P<0.05) with increasing yeast β-glucan levels. 2无创呼吸机辅助治疗急性加重期老年慢性阻塞性肺疾病急性加重期合并呼吸衰竭显示文摘目的探讨应用无创呼吸机双水平无创正压通气(BIPAP)辅助治疗老年慢性阻塞性肺疾病急性加重期(AECOPD)合并呼吸衰竭的疗效。方法将62例AECOPD合并呼吸衰竭的老年患者按随机数字表法分为治疗组和对照组,各31例。2组患者均给与解痉、平喘、氧疗、抗感染、纠正酸碱平衡紊乱等常规治疗,治疗组在此基础上增加BIPAP辅助治疗。治疗完成后比较2组呼吸衰竭动脉血气的改善情况、临床症状缓解率、住院时间、气管插管率及病死率。结果治疗24h后治疗组较对照组PaO2、PaCO2和SaO2明显改善(P<0.05),治疗组和对照组临床症状缓解率(96.8%比83.9%)、住院时间[(17±7)d比(33±13)d]、气管插管率(3.2%比16.1%)及病死率(3.2%比9.6%)比较,差异均有统计学意义(均P<0.05)。结论对于AECOPD合并呼吸衰竭的老年患者,在常规治疗的基础上增加无创呼吸机的辅助治疗,临床疗效确切,可缩短住院时间,降低气管插管率、病死率。刘建民 Qiang Tu 2013南昌大学学报(医学版)2013,53,12:18
3Influence of flue gas cleaning system on characteristics of PM_(2.5)emission from coal-fired power plants显示文摘This study investigated the influence of precipitators and wet flue gas desulfurization equipment on characteristics of PM_(2.5)emission from coal-fired power stations.We measured size distribution and removal efficiencies,including hybrid electrostatic precipitator/bag filters(ESP/BAGs)which have rarely been studied.A bimodal distribution of particle concentrations was observed at the inlet of each precipitator.After the precipitators,particle concentrations were significantly reduced.Although a bimodal distribution was still observed,all peak positions shifted to the smaller end.The removal efficiencies of hybrid ESP/BAGs reached 99%for PM_(2.5),which is considerably higher than those for other types of precipitators.In particular,the influence of hybrid ESP/BAG operating conditions on the performance of dust removal was explored.The efficiency of hybrid ESP/BAGs decreased by 1.9%when the first electrostatic field was shut down.The concentrations and distributions of particulate matter were also measured in three coal-fired power plants before and after desulfurization devices.The results showed diverse removal efficiencies for different desulfurization towers.The reason for the difference requires further research.We estimated the influence of removal technology for particulate matter on total emissions in China.Substituting ESPs with hybrid ESP/BAGs could reduce the total emissions to 104.3 thousand tons,with 47.48 thousand tons of PM_(2.5).Ao Wang Qiang Song Gongming Tu Hui Wang Yong Yue Qiang Yao 2014International Journal of Coal Science & Technology2014,1,1:16
4老年吸入性肺炎60例临床分析显示文摘目的分析老年吸入性肺炎的临床特点,探讨其诊治对策。方法对2011年1月至2013年1月收治的60例老年吸入性肺炎患者的临床表现、基础疾病、病原菌特点及转归情况进行回顾性分析。结果 60例老年吸入性肺炎患者均伴有慢性基础疾病,其中合并脑血管性疾病居首位,共35例,占58.33%(35/60)。首发主要临床表现为食欲不振及精神萎靡的25例(41.66%),咳嗽咳痰20例(33.33%),发热13例(21.66%),呼吸困难6例(10.00%),休克2例(3.33%),双肺可闻及干湿性啰音37例(61.66%),无异常体征2例(3.33%)。感染的主要病原菌是革兰阴性杆菌,且以大肠埃希菌、铜绿假单胞菌、肺炎克雷伯菌多见。治愈35例(58.33%),好转17例(28.33%),死亡8例(13.33%)。结论老年吸入性肺炎起病隐袭,临床表现不典型,病情凶险,病死率较高;要提高患者早期诊断率,避免漏诊和误诊,合理使用抗生素。刘建民 Qiang Tu 2014南昌大学学报(医学版)2014,54,7:10
5痰热清治疗老年卒中相关性肺炎44例显示文摘目的:观察痰热清注射液治疗老年人卒中相关性肺炎的临床效果。方法:对我院2012年1月-2013年1月收治的老年人卒中相关性肺炎患者88例(男性70例,女性18例)进行随机分组,分为观察组和对照组各44例。所有患者均给与同样的常规治疗,观察组增加痰热清注射液30mL加入0.9%生理盐水250mL中静脉滴注,每天1次,疗程7-10天。结果:痰热清观察组可明显改善老年人卒中相关性肺炎患者的咳嗽、咳痰、痰粘稠度和发热等临床症状和肺部体征,明显减少住院时间,总有效率达90.9%。结论:痰热清注射液治疗老年人卒中相关性肺炎临床疗效可靠,给临床医生减少抗生素的应用提供了新的治疗方法。刘建民 Qiang Tu 2014江西中医学院学报2014,26,3:10
6Chemical investigation of the roots of Polygala sibirica L.显示文摘AIM:To investigate the chemical constituents of the roots of Polygala sibirica L.(Polygalaceae) METHOD:The isolation was performed by solvent extraction and various chromatographic techniques,including silica gel,Sephadex LH-20,ODS,semi-preparative HPLC,and preparative TLC.The chemical structures were elucidated based on extensive spectroscopic analysis,including HR-ESI-MS and 1D- and 2D-NMR spectroscopic data.RESULTS:A total of sixteen compounds,including five xanthones(5,7–10),five saccharide esters(1,3,4,12,13),two flavonoids(14,16),two triterpenoids(11,15),one phenylpropanoid(6),and one benzophenone glycoside(2) were isolated.Their structures were determined as sibiricose A7(1),sibiriphenone A(2),polygalatenoside A(3),polygalatenoside C(4),lancerin(5),3,4,5-trimethoxycinnamic acid(6),6-hydroxy-1,2,3,7-tetramethoxyxanthone(7),1,3,7-trihydroxy-2-methoxyxanthone(8),onjixanthone II(9),1,2,3,6,7-pentamethoxyxanthone(10),presenegenin(11),3'-O-3,4,5-trimethoxycinnamoyl-6-O-4-methoxy benzoyl sucrose(12),tenuifoliside C(13),5,3'-dihydroxy-7,4'-dimethoxyflavonol-3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(14),tenuifolin(15),and rhamnetin 3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(16).CONCLUSION:Compounds 1 and 2 are two new compounds from P.sibirica.ZHOU Yu-Hong ZHANG Shui-Ying GUO Qiang CHAI Xing-Yun JIANG Yong TU Peng-Fei 2014Chinese Journal of Natural Medicines2014,12,3:9
7Endothelium-Mimicking Multifunctional Coating Modified Cardiovascular Stents via a Stepwise Metal-Catechol-(Amine)Surface Engineering Strategy显示文摘Stenting is currently the major therapeutic treatment for cardiovascular diseases.However,the nonbiogenic metal stents are inclined to trigger a cascade of cellular and molecular events including inflammatory response,thrombogenic reactions,smooth muscle cell hyperproliferation accompanied by the delayed arterial healing,and poor reendothelialization,thus leading to restenosis along with late stent thrombosis.To address prevalence critical problems,we present an endothelium-mimicking coating capable of rapid regeneration of a competently functioning new endothelial layer on stents through a stepwise metal(copper)-catechol-(amine)(MCA)surface chemistry strategy,leading to combinatorial endothelium-like functions with glutathione peroxidase-like catalytic activity and surface heparinization.Apart from the stable nitric oxide(NO)generating rate at the physiological level(2:2×10^(-10) mol/cm^(2)/min lasting for 60 days),this proposed strategy could also generate abundant amine groups for allowing a high heparin conjugation efficacy up to∼1μg/cm^(2),which is considerably higher than most of the conventional heparinized surfaces.The resultant coating could create an ideal microenvironment for bringing in enhanced antithrombogenicity,anti-inflammation,anti-proliferation of smooth muscle cells,re-endothelialization by regulating relevant gene expressions,hence preventing restenosis in vivo.We envision that the stepwise MCA coating strategy would facilitate the surface endothelium-mimicking engineering of vascular stents and be therefore helpful in the clinic to reduce complications associated with stenosis.Ying Yang Peng Gao Juan Wang Qiufen Tu Long Bai Kaiqin Xiong Hua Qiu Xin Zhao Manfred FMaitz Huaiyu Wang Xiangyang Li Qiang Zhao Yin Xiao Nan Huang Zhilu Yang 2020Research2020,,1:8
8OsSPL18 controls grain weight and grain number in rice显示文摘Grain weight and grain number are two important traits directly determining grain yield in rice. To date,a lot of genes related to grain weight and grain number have been identified; however, the regulatory mechanism underlying these genes remains largely unknown. In this study, we studied the biological function of OsSPL18 during grain and panicle development in rice. Knockout (KO) mutants of OsSPL18exhibited reduced grain width and thickness, panicle length and grain number, but increased tiller number. Cytological analysis showed that OsSPL18 regulates the development of spikelet hulls by affecting cell proliferation. qRT-PCR and GUS staining analyses showed that OsSPL18 was highly expressed in developing young panicles and young spikelet hulls, in agreement with its function in regulating grain and panicle development. Transcriptional activation experiments indicated that OsSPL18is a functional transcription factor with activation domains in both the N-terminus and C-terminus, and both activation domains are indispensable for its biological functions. Quantitative expression analysis showed that DEP1, a major grain number regulator, was significantly down-regulated in OsSPL18 KO lines.Both yeast one-hybrid and dual-luciferase (LUC) assays showed that OsSPL18 could bind to the DEP1promoter, suggesting that OsSPL18 regulates panicle development by positively regulating the expression of DEP1. Sequence analysis showed that OsSPL18 contains the OsmiR156k complementary sequence in the third exon; 5?RLM-RACE experiments indicated that OsSPL18 could be cleaved by OsmiR156k. 9Different dissecting orders of the pulmonary bronchus and vessels during right upper lobectomy are associated with surgical feasibility and postoperative recovery for lung cancer patients显示文摘Background: Right upper lobectomy(RUL) for lung cancer with di erent dissecting orders involves the most vari?able anatomical structures, but no studies have analyzed its e ects on postoperative recovery. This study compared the conventional surgical approach, VAB(dissecting pulmonary vessels first, followed by the bronchus), and the alter?native surgical approach, a BVA(dissecting the posterior ascending arterial branch first, followed by the bronchus and vessels) on improving surgical feasibility and postoperative recovery for lung cancer patients.Methods: According to the surgical approach, consecutive lung cancer patients undergoing RUL were grouped into a BVA and VAB cohorts. Their clinical, pathologic, and perioperative characteristics were collected to compare periop?erative outcomes.Results: Three hundred one patients were selected(109 in the a BVA cohort and 192 in the VAB cohort). The mean operation time was shorter in the a BVA cohort than in the VAB cohort(164 vs. 221 min, P < 0.001), and less blood loss occurred in the a BVA cohort(92 vs. 141 m L, P < 0.001). The rate of conversion to thoracotomy was lower in the a BVA cohort than in the VAB cohort(0% vs. 11.5%, P < 0.001). The mean duration of postoperative chest drainage was shorter in the a BVA cohort than in the VAB cohort(3.6 vs. 4.5 days, P rvival was n= 0.001). The rates of postoperative complica?tions were comparable(P = 0.629). The median overall suot arrived in both cohorts(P > 0.05). The median disease?free survival was comparable for all patients in the two cohorts(not arrived vs. 41.97 months) and for patients with disease recurrences(13.25 vs. 9.44 months)(both P > 0.05). 10Single-cell Immune Landscape of Human Recurrent Miscarriage显示文摘t Successful pregnancy in placental mammals substantially depends on the establishment of maternal immune tolerance to the semi-allogenic fetus.Disorders in this process are tightly associated with adverse pregnancy outcomes including recurrent miscarriage(RM).However,an indepth understanding of the systematic and decidual immune environment in RM remains largely lacking.In this study,we utilized single-cell RNA-sequencing(scRNA-seq)to comparably analyze the cellular and molecular signatures of decidual and peripheral leukocytes in normal and unexplained RM pregnancies at the early stage of gestation.Integrative analysis identifies 22 distinct cell clusters in total,and a dramatic difference in leukocyte subsets and molecular properties in RM cases is revealed.Specifically,the cytotoxic properties of CD8^(+)effector T cells,nature killer(NK),and mucosal-associated invariant T(MAIT)cells in peripheral blood indicates apparently enhanced pro-inflammatory status,and the population proportions and ligand–receptor interactions of the decidual leukocyte subsets demonstrate preferential immune activation in RM patients.The molecular features,spatial distribution,and the developmental trajectories of five decidual NK(dNK)subsets have been elaborately illustrated.In RM patients,a dNK subset that supports embryonic growth is diminished in proportion,while the ratio of another dNK subset with cyto toxic and immune-active signature is significantly increased.Notably,a unique pro-inflammatory CD56^(+)CD16^(+)dNK subset substantially accumulates in RM decidua.These findings reveal a comprehensive cellular and molecular atlas of decidual and peripheral leukocytes in human early pregnancy and provide an in-depth insight into the immune pathogenesis for early pregnancy loss.Feiyang Wang Wentong Jia Mengjie Fan Xuan Shao Zhilang Li Yongjie Liu Yeling Ma Yu-Xia Li Rong Li Qiang Tu Yan-Ling Wang 2021Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics2021,19,2:8

12Determination of rock resistant coefficient based on Mohr-Coulomb criterion for underwater tunnel显示文摘According to the load-structure method, the wall rock with lining can bear the load caused by the surrounding rock, and the rock resistant coefficient (RRC) is a key parameter for evaluating the capacity of this wall rock. Based on the Mohr-Coulomb yield criterion, this paper develops a formula for calculating the RRC, which has been applied to the real engi-neering project, such as Xiamen Xiang’an East Passage Underwater Tunnel Project. 13Age-specific differences in non-cardiac comorbidities among elderly patients hospitalized with heart failure: a special focus on young-old, old-old, and oldest-old显示文摘Background:Despite the growing epidemic of heart failure(HF),there is limited data available to systematically compare noncardiac comorbidities in the young-old,old-old,and oldest-old patients hospitalized for HF.The precise differences will add valuable information for better management of HF in elderly patients.Methods:A total of 1053 patients aged 65 years or older hospitalized with HF were included in this study.Patients were compared among three age groups:(1)young-old:65 to 74 years,(2)old-old:75 to 84 years,and(3)oldest-old:≥85 years.Clinical details of presentation,comorbidities,and prescribed medications were recorded.Results:The mean age was 76.7 years and 12.7%were 85 years or older.Most elderly patients with HF(97.5%)had at least one of the non-cardiac comorbidities.The patterns of common non-cardiac comorbidities were different between the young-old and oldestold group.The three most common non-cardiac comorbidities were anemia(53.6%),hyperlipidemia(45.9%),and diabetes(42.4%)in the young-old group,while anemia(73.1%),infection(58.2%),and chronic kidney disease(44.0%)in the oldest-old group.Polypharmacy was observed in 93.0%elderly patients with HF.Additionally,29.2%patients were diagnosed with infection,and 67.0%patients were prescribed antibiotics.However,60.4%patients were diagnosed with anemia with only 8.9%of them receiving iron repletion.Conclusions:Non-cardiac comorbidities are nearly universal in three groups but obviously differ by age,and inappropriate medications are very common in elderly patients with HF.Further treatment strategies should be focused on providing optimal medications for age-specific non-cardiac conditions.Meng-Xi Yang Hui An Xue-Qiang Fan Li-Yuan Tao Qiang Tu Li Qin Li-Fang Zhang Dong-Ping Feng Yu Wang Li Sun Si Gao Wen-Zhuo Guan Jin-Gang Zheng Jing-Yi Ren 2019Chinese Medical Journal2019,,24:4
14Transurethral resection of the prostate is an independent risk factor for biochemical recurrence after radical prostatectomy for prostate cancer显示文摘Biochemical recurrence(BCR)is important for measuring the oncological outcomes of patients who undergo radical prostatectomy(RP).Whether transurethral resection of the prostate(TURP)has negative postoperative effects on oncological outcomes remains controversial.The primary aim of our retrospective study was to determine whether a history of TURP could affect the postoperative BCR rate.We retrospectively reviewed patients with prostate cancer(PCa)who had undergone RP between January 2009 and October 2017.Clinical data on age,prostate volume,serum prostate-specific antigen levels(PSA),biopsy Gleason score(GS),metastasis stage(TNM),D’Amico classification,and American Society of Anesthesiologists(ASA)classification were collected.Statistical analyses including Cox proportional hazard models and sensitivity analyses which included propensity score matching,were performed,and the inverse-probability-of-treatment-weighted estimator and standardized mortality ratio-weighted estimator were determined.We included 1083 patients,of which 118 had a history of TURP.Before matching,the non-TURP group differed from the TURP group with respect to GS(P=0.047),prostate volume(mean:45.19 vs 36.00 ml,P<0.001),and PSA level(mean:29.41 vs 15.11 ng ml?1,P=0.001).After adjusting for age,PSA level,T stage,N stage,M stage,and GS,the TURP group showed higher risk of BCR(hazard ratio[HR]:2.27,95%confidence interval[CI]:1.13–3.94,P=0.004).After matching(ratio 1:4),patients who underwent TURP were still more likely to develop BCR according to the adjusted propensity score(HR:2.00,95%CI:1.05–3.79,P=0.034).Among patients with PCa,those with a history of TURP were more likely to develop BCR after RP.Kun Jin Shi Qiu Xin-Yang Liao Xiao-Nan Zheng Xiang Tu Lian-Sha Tang Lu Yang Qiang Wei 2020Asian Journal of Andrology2020,22,2:4
15Schisandrol A protects AGEs-induced neuronal cells death by allosterically targeting ATP6V0d1 subunit of V-ATPase显示文摘Diabetes have been shown to cause progressive neuronal injury with pain and numbness via advanced glycation end-products(AGEs)-induced neuronal cell apoptosis;however, the valuable drug targets for diabetic neuropathy have been poorly reported so far. In this study, we discovered a natural small-molecule schisandrol A(SolA) with significant protective effect against AGEs-induced neuronal cell apoptosis. ATP6V0D1, a major subunit of vacuolar-type ATPase(V-ATPase) in lysosome was identified as a crucial cellular target of SolA. Moreover, SolA allosterically mediated ATP6V0D1 conformation via targeting a unique cysteine 335 residue to activate V-ATPase-dependent lysosomal acidification.Interestingly, SolA-induced lysosome pH downregulation resulted in a mitochondrial-lysosomal crosstalk by selectively promoting mitochondrial BH3-only protein BIM degradation, thereby preserving mitochondrial homeostasis and neuronal cells survival. 20SLITRK3 expression correlation to gastrointestinal stromal tumor risk rating and prognosis显示文摘AIM: To assess the influence of SLIT and NTRKlike family member 3(SLITRK3) on the prognosis of gastrointestinal stromal tumor(GIST) and determine whether SLITRK3 can help improve current risk stratification systems.METHODS: We hypothesized that SLITRK3 could be used as a prognostic molecular biomarker for GIST. 35 fresh tumor samples and 417 paraffin-embedded specimens from GIST patients were utilized. SLITRK3m RNA expression in GIST tumor tissue was detected by real-time polymerase chain reaction, and SLITRK3 protein levels were estimated by immunohistochemistry. The correlation of SLITRK3 expression with various tumor clinicopathological characteristics and follow-up data were analyzed.RESULTS: GIST tumors had high expression of SLITRK3 compared with adjacent normal tissues and the expression level gradually increased with risk grade. SLITRK3 protein expression was closely associated with gastrointestinal bleeding, tumor site, tumor size, mitotic index, and National Institutes of Health(NIH) classification. Survival analysis showed that SLITRK3 expression was closely correlated with overall survival and disease-free survival of GIST patients. Multivariate analysis also identified SLITRK3 expression, mitotic index, and NIH stage as significant risk factors of GIST recurrence.CONCLUSION: SLITRK3 expression is a highly significant predictor of GIST recurrence and metastasis.
