| 1 | Roadway deformation during riding mining in soft rock显示文摘'Riding mining' is a form of mining where the working face is located above the roadway and advances parallel to it.Riding mining in deep soft rock creates a particular set of problems in the roadway that include high stresses,large deformations,and support difficulties.Herein we describe a study of the rock deformation mechanism of a roadway as observed during riding mining in deep soft rock.Theoretical analysis,numerical simulations,and on site monitoring were used to examine this problem.The stress in the rock and the visco-elastic behavior of the rock are considered.Real time data,recorded over a period of 240 days,were taken from a 750 transportation roadway.Stress distributions in the rock surrounding the roadway were studied by comparing simulations to observations from the mine.The rock stress shows dynamic behavior as the working face advances.The pressure increases and then drops after peaking as the face advances.Both elastic and plastic deformation of the surrounding rock occurs.Plastic deformation provides a mechanism by which stress in the rock relaxes due to material flow.A way to rehabilitate the roadway is suggested that will help ensure mine safety. | Zhao Guozhen Ma Zhanguo Zhu Qinghua Mao Xianbiao Feng Meimei | 2012 | International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2012,22,4: | 7 |
| 2 | Effect and safety of acupotomy in treatment of knee osteoarthritis:a systematic review and Meta-analysis显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of acupotomy in treatment of knee osteoarthritis(OA).METHODS: Extensive literature searches were carried out in PubMed, EMBASE, Cochrane Library(Issue 5, 2017), Chinese Biomedical Literature Database, China National Knowledge Infrastructure Database, China Science and Technology Journal Database and Wanfang Database. All databases were retrieved from their inception until May 31, 2017.Randomized controlled trials incorporating acupotomy versus intra-articular sodium hyaluronate for knee osteoarthritis were included. According to Cochrane Reviews’ Handbook(5.2), two reviewers screened each article and extracted data independently and were blinded to the findings of each reviewer. Meta-analysis was performed by the Cochrane Collaboration’s RevMan 5.3 software.RESULTS: We identified 12 studies involving 1150 patients aged between 40 and 78 years old. The pooled analysis indicated that acupotomy showed a significant improvement for short-term effect[cure rate: odds ratio(OR) = 2.04, 95% confidence interval(CI)(1.46, 2.85), P < 0.01;total effective rate:OR = 2.25, 95% CI(1.55, 3.28), P < 0.01;pain score:standard mean difference(SMD) =-1.02;95% CI(-1.72,-0.31);P = 0.005;Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Questionnaire(WOMAC) score:SMD =-0.74;95% CI(-1.11,-0.37);P < 0.01];and also for long-term effect [total effective rate:OR = 2.99, 95%CI(1.88, 4.76), Z = 4.64, P < 0.01;pain score: SMD =-1.68;95% CI(-2.14,-1.22);P <0.001;WOMAC score: SMD =-0.91;95% CI(-1.40,-0.41);P < 0.001]. In addition, there was no obvious difference between acupotomy group and control group in adverse events [OR = 2.13, 95% CI(0.14, 32.28), P = 0.58].CONCLUSION: Acupotomy is a safe and effective treatment for KOA. | 3 | Balancing Carbon Emission Reductions and Social Economic Development for Sustainable Development: Experience from 24 Countries显示文摘The impact of human carbon emissions on climate has generated widespread global concern. We selected 24 countries as research objects and analysed the changes in carbon emissions in different countries between the establishment of emission reduction actions in 1990 and 2014. Then, we selected 19 factors representing four categories(economy, population, technology and energy) to explore the key factors that led to changes in carbon dioxide(CO2) emissions in different countries. Emission reduction actions since 1990 did not lead to marked improvements, and only five countries(Russia, Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy and France) achieved reductions in carbon emissions. The factors that influenced CO2 emissions varied among countries. In most developing countries, reductions in CO2 emissions were caused by reductions in poverty and inherent natural conditions. Moreover, the extent of influence of a given factor on CO2 emissions differed among countries. The global economic crisis may cause similar fluctuations in CO2 emissions in many countries. Adjustments to energy and industrial structures are the main reason for the reduction in carbon emissions, whereas economic growth and urbanization are the two major contributors to the growth of carbon emissions. | 4 | Schisandrol A protects AGEs-induced neuronal cells death by allosterically targeting ATP6V0d1 subunit of V-ATPase显示文摘Diabetes have been shown to cause progressive neuronal injury with pain and numbness via advanced glycation end-products(AGEs)-induced neuronal cell apoptosis;however, the valuable drug targets for diabetic neuropathy have been poorly reported so far. In this study, we discovered a natural small-molecule schisandrol A(SolA) with significant protective effect against AGEs-induced neuronal cell apoptosis. ATP6V0D1, a major subunit of vacuolar-type ATPase(V-ATPase) in lysosome was identified as a crucial cellular target of SolA. Moreover, SolA allosterically mediated ATP6V0D1 conformation via targeting a unique cysteine 335 residue to activate V-ATPase-dependent lysosomal acidification.Interestingly, SolA-induced lysosome pH downregulation resulted in a mitochondrial-lysosomal crosstalk by selectively promoting mitochondrial BH3-only protein BIM degradation, thereby preserving mitochondrial homeostasis and neuronal cells survival. | 10 | A chromosome-scale reference genome of Aquilegia oxysepala var.kansuensis显示文摘The genus Aquilegia(Ranunculaceae)has been cultivated as ornamental and medicinal plants for centuries.With petal spurs of strikingly diverse size and shape,Aquilegia has also been recognized as an excellent system for evolutionary studies.Pollinator‐mediated selection for longer spurs is believed to have shaped the evolution of this genus,especially the North American taxa.Recently,however,an opposite evolutionary trend was reported in an Asian lineage,where multiple origins of mini-or even nonspurred morphs have occurred.Interesting as it is,the lack of genomic resources has limited our ability to decipher the molecular and evolutionary mechanisms underlying spur reduction in this special lineage.Using long-read sequencing(PacBio Sequel),in combination with optical maps(BioNano DLS)and Hi–C,we assembled a high-quality reference genome of A.oxysepala var.kansuensis,a sister species to the nonspurred taxon.The final assembly is approximately 293.2 Mb,94.6%(277.4 Mb)of which has been anchored to 7 pseudochromosomes.A total of 25,571 protein-coding genes were predicted,with 97.2%being functionally annotated.When comparing this genome with that of A.coerulea,we detected a large rearrangement between Chr1 and Chr4,which might have caused the Chr4 of A.oxysepala var.kansuensis to partly deviate from the“decaying”path that was taken before the split of Aquilegia and Semiaquilegia.This high-quality reference genome is fundamental to further investigations on the development and evolution of petal spurs and provides a strong foundation for the breeding of new horticultural Aquilegia cultivars. | Jinghe Xie Haifeng Zhao Kunpeng Li Rui Zhang Yongchao Jiang Meimei Wang Xuelian Guo Ben Yu Hongzhi Kong Yuannian Jiao Guixia Xu | 2020 | Horticulture Research2020,7,1: | 1 |
| 11 | Anti-oxidant anti-inflammatory and antibacterial tannin-crosslinked citrate-based mussel-inspired bioadhesives facilitate scarless wound healing显示文摘The revolutionary role of tissue adhesives in wound closure,tissue sealing,and bleeding control necessitates the development of multifunctional materials capable of effective and scarless healing.In contrast to the use of traditionally utilized toxic oxidative crosslinking initiators(exemplified by sodium periodate and silver nitrate),herein,the natural polyphenolic compound tannic acid(TA)was used to achieve near instantaneous(<25s),hydrogen bond mediated gelation of citrate-based mussel-inspired bioadhesives combining anti-oxidant,anti-inflammatory,and antimicrobial activities(3A-TCMBAs).The resulting materials were self-healing and possessed low swelling ratios(<60%)as well as considerable mechanical strength(up to~1.0 MPa),elasticity(elongation~2700%),and adhesion(up to 40 kPa).The 3A-TCMBAs showed strong in vitro and in vivo anti-oxidant ability,favorable cytocompatibility and cell migration,as well as photothermal antimicrobial activity against both Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli(>90%bacterial death upon near-infrared(NIR)irradiation).In vivo evaluation in both an infected full-thickness skin wound model and a rat skin incision model demonstrated that 3A-TCMBAs+NIR treatment could promote wound closure and collagen deposition and improve the collagen Ⅰ/Ⅲ ratio on wound sites while simultaneously inhibiting the expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines.Further,phased angiogenesis was observed via promotion in the early wound closure phases followed by inhibition and triggering of degradation&remodeling of the extracellular matrix(ECM)in the late stage(supported by phased CD31(platelet endothelial cell adhesion molecule-1)PDGF(platelet-derived growth factor)and VEGF(vascular endothelial growth factor)expression as well as elevated matrix metalloprotein-9(MMP-9)expression on day 21),resulting in scarless wound healing.The significant convergence of material and bioactive properties elucidated above warrant further exploration of 3A-TCMBAs as a significant,new class of bioadhesive. | Keke Wu Meimei Fu Yitao Zhao Ethan Gerhard Yue Li Jian Yang Jinshan Guo | 2023 | Bioactive Materials2023,,2: | 1 |

The droplet contracts inward and the corresponding contact angle/height increase when voltage increases. When the voltage ranges from 50 V to 140 V, the variation of the relative contact angles and height reach up to 118.78° and 3.194 mm, respectively. | 19 | Exosomes derived from microglia overexpressing miR-124-3p alleviate neuronal endoplasmic reticulum stress damage after repetitive mild traumatic brain injury显示文摘We previously reported that miR-124-3p is markedly upregulated in microglia-derived exosomes following repetitive mild traumatic brain injury.However,its impact on neuronal endoplasmic reticulum stress following repetitive mild traumatic brain injury remains unclear.In this study,we first used an HT22 scratch injury model to mimic traumatic brain injury,then co-cultured the HT22 cells with BV2 microglia expressing high levels of miR-124-3p.We found that exosomes containing high levels of miR-124-3p attenuated apoptosis and endoplasmic reticulum stress.Furthermore,luciferase reporter assay analysis confirmed that miR-124-3p bound specifically to the endoplasmic reticulum stress-related protein IRE1α,while an IRE1αfunctional salvage experiment confirmed that miR-124-3p targeted IRE1αand reduced its expression,thereby inhibiting endoplasmic reticulum stress in injured neurons.Finally,we delivered microglia-derived exosomes containing miR-124-3p intranasally to a mouse model of repetitive mild traumatic brain injury and found that endoplasmic reticulum stress and apoptosis levels in hippocampal neurons were significantly reduced.These findings suggest that,after repetitive mild traumatic brain injury,miR-124-3 can be transferred from microglia-derived exosomes to injured neurons,where it exerts a neuroprotective effect by inhibiting endoplasmic reticulum stress.Therefore,microglia-derived exosomes containing miR-124-3p may represent a novel therapeutic strategy for repetitive mild traumatic brain injury. | Yan Wang Dai Li Lan Zhang Zhenyu Yin Zhaoli Han Xintong Ge Meimei Li Jing Zhao Shishuang Zhang Yan Zuo Xiangyang Xiong Han Gao Qiang Liu Fanglian Chen Ping Lei | 2024 | Neural Regeneration Research2024,19,9: | 0 |
| 20 | The awareness and acceptance of HPV vaccines among parents of primary and junior high school students in China:a meta-analysis显示文摘The awareness and acceptance of the human papillomavirus(HPV)vaccines among Chinese primary and ju-nior high school students is limited.A meta-analysis was conducted to evaluate the awareness of HPV and HPV vaccines,as well as the acceptance of HPV vaccines,providing evidence-based strategies to promote HPV vacci-nation.Based on the databases of CNKI,Wanfang,VIP,PubMed,Embase,and Cochrane library,the literatures about the awareness of HPV and HPV vaccines,as well as the acceptance of HPV vaccines among parents of primary and junior high school students were collected from the inception to June 2023.Subgroup analysis was used to find the source of heterogeneity.Publication bias was evaluated using funnel plots and Egger’s test.Fifteen literatures with 21,853 participants were included.The pooled HPV awareness,HPV vaccine awareness and acceptance rates among parents of primary and junior high school students in China were 42.90%(95%CI:33.34%-52.47%),28.11%(95%CI:18.20%-43.41%),and 55.29%(95%CI:45.85%-64.36%),respectively.The survey period and the proportion of female parents were the heterogeneity in awareness of HPV and HPV vac-cines,as well as acceptance of HPV vaccines by subgroup analysis.Additionally,regional distribution emerged as another significant source of heterogeneity in HPV vaccine acceptance.The primary cause for parents’reluctance to vaccinate their children was theirs worries about the safety of the vaccines(66.21%).Though the awareness of HPV and its vaccines was low among parents of primary and junior high school students in China,the accep-tance of HPV vaccines was relatively high.Strengthening health education and publicity was crucial to enhance awareness and acceptance,promoting HPV vaccination for effective cervical cancer prevention. | Meimei Cui Yun Wang Zhen Liu Congxiao Liu Tianhua Niu Dan Zhou Ming Zhao Min Zhang Jingjing Jia Limei Luo | 2023 | Infectious Medicine2023,2,4: | 0 |
