| 6 | Deep-subwavelength light transmission in hybrid nanowire-loaded silicon nano-rib waveguides显示文摘Hybrid plasmonic waveguides leveraging the coupling between dielectric modes and plasmon polaritons have emerged as a major focus of research attention during the past decade. A feasible way for constructing practical hybrid plasmonic structures is to integrate metallic configurations with silicon-on-insulator waveguiding platforms. Here we report a transformative high-performance silicon-based hybrid plasmonic waveguide that consists of a silicon nano-rib loaded with a metallic nanowire. A deep-subwavelength mode area(λ~2/4.5 × 10~5-λ~2/7 × 10~3), in conjunction with a reasonable propagation distance(2.2-60.2 μm), is achievable at a telecommunication wavelength of 1.55 μm. Such a nano-rib-based waveguide outperforms its conventional hybrid and plasmonic waveguiding counterparts, demonstrating tighter optical confinement for similar propagation distances and a significantly enhanced figure of merit. The guiding properties of the fundamental mode are also quite robust against possible fabrication imperfections. Due to the strong confinement capability, our proposed hybrid configuration features ultralow waveguide cross talk and enables submicron bends with moderate attenuation as well. | 18 | Development of a cable-driven redundant space manipulator with large bending angle by combining quaternion joints and segmented coupled linkages mechanism显示文摘A cable-driven redundant manipulator has significant potential in confined space applications, such as environmental exploration, equipment monitoring, or maintenance. A traditional design requires 3N driving motors/cables to supply 2N degrees of freedom(DOF) movement ability.The number of motors is 1.5 times that of the joints’ DOF, increasing the hardware cost and the complexity of the kinematics, dynamics, and control. This study develops a novel redundant space manipulator with decoupled cable-driven joints and segmented linkages. It is a 1680 mm continuum manipulator with eight DOF, consisting of four segmented linkages driven by eight motors/pairs of cables. Each segment has two equivalent DOF, which are realized by four quaternion joints synchronously driven by two linkage cables. The linkage cables of adjacent joints are symmetrically decoupled and offset at 180°. This design allows equal-angle movement of all the joints of each segment. Moreover, each decoupling driving mechanism is designed based on a pulley block composed of two fixed and movable pulleys. The two movable pulleys realize the opposite but equidistant motions of the two driving cables, i.e., pulling and loosening, assuring symmetrical movements of the two driving cables of each segment. Consequently, the equivalent 2N-DOF joints are driven only by 2N motors, significantly reducing the hardware cost and simplifying the mapping relationship between the motor angle/cable length and the joint angle. Furthermore, the bending range of each segment could reach 360°, which is three times that of a traditional design. | 19 | Directly radiolabeled phage with spleen-targeting specificity显示文摘Phage display technique is a powerful approach for discovering new tumor-and organ-targeting ligands,and radiolabeled phage has a potential to analyze the phage-binding sensitivity and specific imaging.In this study,phage Ⅱ (the spleen-targeting phage) in mice was isolated after three rounds biopanning,and labeled by 99mTc using mercaptoacetyltriglycine (MAG3) as chelator to evaluate their binding properties in vivo.The amount of phage Ⅱ eluted from spleen was enriched by plague assay each round.99mTc-MAG3-phage Ⅱ showed the less retention in blood at any time point than half that of 99mTc-MAG3-phage Ⅰ (the radiolabeled original Ph.D-12 phage as control).The accumulation in spleen between 99mTc-MAG3-phage Ⅰ and Ⅱ was of different tendency.The highest uptake of 99mTc-MAG3-phage Ⅱ in spleen was 24.80 %ID/g at 30 min;and of 99mTc-MAG3-phage I,30.93% ID/g at 5 min.After circulating 99mTc-MAG3-phage Ⅱ for 120 min,its accumulation in spleen decreased though higher than that of 99mTc-MAG3-phage Ⅰ.In other organs,the 99mTc-MAG3-phage Ⅱ showed low retention and high spleen-to-organ or tissue ratios.In conclusion,the radiolabeled phage Ⅱ is convenient for studying the binding and specificity of spleen-targeting peptides found via phage display in vivo. | SUN Liyan LIANG Kun WANG Xiangyun CHU Taiwei | 2011 | Nuclear Science and Techniques2011,22,4: | 0 |
