| 1 | Low-cost hybrid integrated 4 × 25 GBaud PAM-4CWDM ROSA with a PLC-based arrayed waveguide grating de-multiplexer显示文摘We demonstrate a low-cost hybrid integrated and compact 100 GBaud four-lane coarse wavelength division multiplexing (CWDM) receiver optical sub-assembly (ROSA) based on an arrayed waveguide grating de-multiplexer in the O band. To achieve the horizontal light coupling between the planar light-wave circuit (PLC) based arrayed waveguide grating de-multiplexer and photodetector array, a 42°polished facet is applied for total reflection.A flexible printed circuit with high-frequency coplanar waveguides is used for a power supply of trans-impedance amplifier and signal transmission.The fabricated CWDM ROSA module, whose size is 18mm×22mm×6mm, shows a 3 dB bandwidth of 21.2,18.4,19.6,and 19.3 GHz,respectively,in each lane. | 3 | A 640×640 ISFET array for detecting cell metabolism显示文摘Ion sensitive field effect transistor(ISFET)devices are highly accurate,convenient,fast and low-cost in the detection of ions and biological macromolecules,such as DNA molecules,antibodies,enzymatic substrates and cellular metabolites.For high-throughput cell metabolism detection,we successfully designed a very large-scale biomedical sensing application specific integrated circuit(ASIC)with a 640×640 ISFET array.The circuit design is highly integrated by compressing the size of a pixel to 7.4×7.4μm^(2)and arranging the layout of even and odd columns in an interdigital pattern to maximize the utilization of space.The chip can operate at a speed of 2.083M pixels/s and the dynamic process of the fluid flow on the surface of the array was monitored through ion imaging.The pH sensitivity is 33±4 mV/pH and the drift rate is 0.06 mV/min after 5 h,indicating the stability and robustness of the chip.Moreover,the chip was applied to monitor pH changes in CaSki cells metabolism,with pH shifting from 8.04 to 7.40 on average.This platform has the potential for continuous and parallel monitoring of cell metabolism in single-cell culture arrays. | Ling Yang Yizheng Huang Zhigang Song Manqing Tan Yude Yu Zhao Li | 2023 | Journal of Semiconductors2023,44,2: | 0 |

| 5 | APPLICATION OF ELECTRICAL IMPEDANCE MYOGRAPHY IN CHARACTERIZING CARPAL TUNNEL SYNDROME显示文摘Background:Electrical impedance myography(EIM)is a non-invasive,painless,and easy-to-perform technique for assessing neuromuscular disorders.We evaluated the potential of EIM for quantitatively characterizing carpal tunnel syndrome(CTS).Methods:Healthy subjects and patients with differing severity of CTS underwent EIM measurement of their small hand muscles.A bioelectrical impedance vector analysis(BIVA)method was first applied to display 50-kHz EIM data in a single plot.Results:Patients with more severe CTS had smaller EIM values in the affected muscle.The reactance and phase parameters differed significantly between any two groups(P<0.05).Their accuracy for differentiating between any two adjacent groups was approximately 80%and for other groups was approximately 90%.There was a strong association between EIM and electrophysiology results.Conclusion:BIVA is convenient and helpful for indicating the differences between healthy subjects and CTS patients.These results demonstrate EIM’s potential for quantitatively characterizing patients with CTS. | Chen Lingfen Li Zhao Zhu Yu Yang Ling Hu Shiming Chai Chunlin Tan Manqing Yu Yude Tian Dong | 2019 | 现代电生理学杂志2019,26,B03: | 0 |
| 6 | Apoptotic vesicles rejuvenate mesenchymal stem cells via Rab7-mediated autolysosome formation and alleviate bone loss in aging mice显示文摘Aging skeletons display decreased bone mass,increased marrow adiposity,and impaired bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs).Apoptosis is a programmed cell death process that generates a large number of apoptotic vesicles(apoVs).Dysregulated apoptosis has been closely linked to senescence-associated diseases.However,whether apoVs mediate agingrelated bone loss is not clear.In this study,we showed that young MSC-derived apoVs effectively rejuvenated the nuclear abnormalities of aged bone marrow MSCs and restored their impaired self-renewal,osteo-/adipo-genic lineage differentiation capacities via activating autophagy.Mechanistically,apoptotic young MSCs generated and enriched a high level of Ras-related protein 7(Rab7)into apoVs.Subsequently,recipient aged MSCs reused apoV-derived Rab7 to restore autolysosomes formation,thereby contributing to autophagy flux activation and MSC rejuvenation.Moreover,systemic infusion of young MSC-derived apoVs enhanced bone mass,reduced marrow adiposity,and recused the impairment of recipient MSCs in aged mice.Our findings reveal the role of apoVs in rejuvenating aging-MSCs via restoring autolysosome formation and provide a potential approach for treating age-related bone loss. | Fangcao Lei Zhiqing Huang Qianmin Ou Jiaqi Li Manqing Liu Lan Ma Lingping Tan Zhengmei Lin Xiaoxing Kou | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,1: | 0 |
