1Linking atmospheric pollution to cryospheric change in the Third Pole region: current progress and future prospects显示文摘The Tibetan Plateau and its surroundings are known as the Third Pole(TP). This region is noted for its high rates of glacier melt and the associated hydrological shifts that affect water supplies in Asia. Atmospheric pollutants contribute to climatic and cryospheric changes through their effects on solar radiation and the albedos of snow and ice surfaces; moreover, the behavior and fates within the cryosphere and environmental impacts of environmental pollutants are topics of increasing concern. In this review, we introduce a coordinated monitoring and research framework and network to link atmospheric pollution and cryospheric changes(APCC) within the TP region. We then provide an up-to-date summary of progress and achievements related to the APCC research framework, including aspects of atmospheric pollution’s composition and concentration, spatial and temporal variations, trans-boundary transport pathways and mechanisms, and effects on the warming of atmosphere and changing in Indian monsoon, as well as melting of glacier and snow cover. We highlight that exogenous air pollutants can enter into the TP’s environments and cause great impacts on regional climatic and environmental changes. At last, we propose future research priorities and map out an extended program at the global scale. 2Creative Industries Agglomeration,Regional Innovation and Productivity Growth in China显示文摘This paper falls into the broad area of economic geography and economics of creativity,and it presents an alternative approach to explain why total factor productivity(TFP)growth is different across China′s regions.It establishes an empirical model to estimate the spatial agglomeration effects of creative industries on regional TFP growth,using China′s provincial panel data during the period of 2003 to 2010.We found that the creative industries agglomeration(CIA)has significant and positive impact on regional TFP growth.The result also implies that the CIA can facilitate regional TFP growth through promoting regional innovation instead of improving regional efficiency.Therefore,we argue that policy makers should take some measures to retain and establish more creative zones.HONG Jin YU Wentao GUO Xiumei ZHAO Dingtao 2014Chinese Geographical Science2014,24,2:18
3Biofunctional magnesium coated Ti6Al4V scaffold enhances osteogenesis and angiogenesis in vitro and in vivo for orthopedic application显示文摘The insufficient osteogenesis and osseointegration of porous titanium based scaffold limit its further application.Early angiogenesis is important for scaffold survival.It is necessary to develop a multifunctional surface on titanium scaffold with both osteogenic and angiogenic properties.In this study,a biofunctional magnesium coating is deposited on porous Ti6Al4V scaffold.For osseointegration and osteogenesis analysis,in vitro studies reveal that magnesium-coated Ti6Al4V co-culture with MC3T3-E1 cells can improve cell proliferation,adhesion,extracellular matrix(ECM)mineralization and ALP activity compared with bare Ti6Al4V cocultivation.Additionally,MC3T3-E1 cells cultured with magnesium-coated Ti6Al4V show significantly higher osteogenesisrelated genes expression.In vivo studies including fluorochrome labeling,micro-computerized tomography and histological examination of magnesium-coated Ti6Al4V scaffold reveal that new bone regeneration is significantly increased in rabbits after implantation.For angiogenesis studies,magnesium-coated Ti6Al4V improve HUVECs proliferation,adhesion,tube formation,wound-healing and Transwell abilities.HUVECs cultured with magnesium-coated Ti6Al4V display significantly higher angiogenesis-related genes(HIF-1αand VEGF)expression.Microangiography analysis reveal that magnesium-coated Ti6Al4V scaffold can significantly enhance the blood vessel formation.This study enlarges the application scope of magnesium and provides an optional choice to the conventional porous Ti6Al4V scaffold with enhanced osteogenesis and angiogenesis for further orthopedic applications.Peng Gao Bo Fan Xiaoming Yu Wenwen Liu Jie Wu Lei Shi Di Yang Lili Tan Peng Wan Yulin Hao Shujun Li Wentao Hou Ke Yang Xiaokang Li Zheng Guo 2020Bioactive Materials2020,5,3:15
4Innovative Group-Decoupling Design of a Segment Erector Based on G_F Set Theory显示文摘The segment erector is a key part of the shield machines for tunnel engineering. The available segment erectors are all of serial configuration which is suffering from the problems of low rigidity and accumulative motion errors. The current research mainly focuses on improving assembly accuracy and control performance of serial segment erectors. An innovative design method is proposed featuring motion group-decoupling, based on which a new type of segment erector is developed and investigated. Firstly, the segment installation manipulation is analyzed and decomposed into three motion groups that are decoupled. Then the type synthesis for the 4-DOF motion group is performed based on the general function(GF) set theory and a new configuration of (1T?1R?1PS&3UPS) is attained according to the segment manipulation requirements. Consequently, the kinematic models are built and the reducibility and accuracy are analyzed. The dexterity is verified though numerical simulation and no singular points appear in the workspace. Finally, a positioning experiment is carried out by using the prototype developed in the lab that demonstrates a 13.1% improvement of positioning accuracy and the feasibility of the new segment erector. 5Electroactive barium titanate coated titanium scaffold improves osteogenesis and osseointegration with low-intensity pulsed ultrasound for large segmental bone defects显示文摘For large segmental bone defects,porous titanium scaffolds have some advantages,however,they lack electrical activity which hinders their further use.In this study,a barium titanate(BaTiO3)piezoelectric ceramic was used to modify the surface of a porous Ti6Al4V scaffold(pTi),which was characterized by scanning electron microscopy,energy dispersive spectroscopy,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,and roughness and water contact angle analyses.Low intensity pulsed ultrasound(LIPUS)was applied in vitro and in vivo study.The activity of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells,including adhesion,proliferation,and gene expression,was significantly superior in the BaTiO3/pTi,pTi+LIPUS,and BaTiO3/pTi+LIPUS groups than in the pTi group.The activity was also higher in the BaTiO3/pTi+LIPUS group than in the BaTiO3/pTi and pTi+LIPUS groups.Additionally,micro-computed tomography,the mineral apposition rate,histomorphology,and the peak pull-out load showed that these scaffold conditions significantly enhanced osteogenesis and osseointegration 6 and 12 weeks after implantation in large segmental bone defects in the radius of rabbits compared with those resulting from the pTi condition.Consequently,the improved osteogenesis and osseointegration make the BaTiO3/pTi+LIPUS a promising method to promote bone regeneration in large segmental bone defects for clinical application.Bo Fan Zheng Guo Xiaokang Li Songkai Li Peng Gao Xin Xiao Jie Wu Chao Shen Yilai Jiao Wentao Hou 2020Bioactive Materials2020,5,4:9

8Fabrication of Fe nanocomplex pillared few-layered Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)MXene with enhanced rate performance for lithium-ion batteries显示文摘Pillaring technologies have been considered as an effective way to improve lithium storage performance of Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)MXene.Nevertheless,the pillared hybrids suffer from sluggish Li^(+)diffusion kinetics and electronic transportation due to the compact multi-layered MXene structure,thus exhibiting inferior rate performance.Herein,the few-layered Ti_(3)O_(2)MXene(f-Ti_(3)C_(2)MXene)which is free from restacking can be prepared quickly based on the NH4^(+)ions method.Besides,Fe nanocomplex pillared few-layered Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)(FPTC)heterostructures are fabricated via the intercalation of Fe ions into the interlayer of f-Ti_(3)C_(2)MXene.The f-Ti_(3)C_(2)MXene which is immune to restacking can provide a highly conductive substrate for the rapid transport of Li+ions and electrons and possess adequate electrolyte accessible area.Moreover,f-Ti_(3)C_(2)MXene can efficiently relieve the aggregation,prevent the pulverization and buffer the large volume change of Fe nanocomplex during lithiation/delithiation process,leading to enhanced charge transfer kinetics and excellent structural stability of FPTC composites.Consequently,the FPTC hybrids exhibit a high capacity of 535 mAh·g^(-1)after 150 cycles at 0.5 A·g^(-1)and an enhanced rate performance with 310 mAh·g^(-1)after 850 cycles at 5 A·g^(-1).This strategy is facile,universal and can be extended tofabricate various few-layered MXene-derived hybrids with superior rate capability.Pengfei Huang Shunlong Zhang Hangjun Ying Wentao Yang Jianli Wang Rongnan Guo Weiqiang Han 2021Nano Research2021,14,4:3

10cis-acting element located in the bovine foamy virus internal promoter possesses the properties of a transcrip-tional enhancer显示文摘Bovine foamy virus encodes a transcriptional transactivitor, Tas or Borf-1, which governs the level of viral transcripts initiated by both the promoter in the long terminal repeat (LTR) and the internal promoter (IP) located in the env gene through their cis-acting targets. We have identified and characterized a 72 bp TBS (Borf-1) responsive element located in BFV3026, internal promoter (TREIP) by deletion mutant and transient expression assay. This cis-acting target element in the internal promoter has the properties of a transcriptional enhancer which functions independently of its orientation, position and also in heterologous promoters (BFV LTR and bovine immunodeficiency virus, BIV LTR). 11Crack-free single-crystalline Co-free Ni-rich LiNi_(0.95)Mn_(0.05)O_(2) layered cathode显示文摘The rapid growth in global electric vehicles(EVs)sales has promoted the development of Co-free,Ni-rich layered cathodes for state-of-the-art high energy-density,inexpensive lithium-ion batteries(LIBs).However,progress in their commercial use has been seriously hampered by exasperating performance deterioration and safety concerns.Herein,a robust single-crystalline,Co-free,Ni-rich LiNi_(0.95)Mn_(0.05)O_(2)(SC-NM95)cathode is successfully designed using a molten salt-assisted method,and it exhibits better structural stability and cycling durability than those of polycrystalline LiNi_(0.95)Mn_(0.05)O_(2) (PC-NM95).Notably,the SC-NM95 cathode achieves a high discharge capacity of 218.2 mAh g^(-1),together with a high energy density of 837.3 Wh kg^(-1) at 0.1 C,mainly due to abundant Ni^(2+)/Ni^(3+) redox.It also presents an outstanding capacity retention(84.4%)after 200 cycles at 1 C,because its integrated single-crystalline structure effectively inhibits particle microcracking and surface phase transformation.In contrast,the PC-NM95 cathode suffers from rapid capacity fading owing to the nucleation and propagation of intergranular microcracking during cycling,facilitating aggravated parasitic reactions and rocksalt phase accumulation.This work provides a fundamental strategy for designing high-performance singlecrystalline,Co-free,Ni-rich cathode materials and also represents an important breakthrough in developing high-safe,low-cost,and high-energy LIBs.Lianshan Ni Ruiting Guo Susu Fang Jun Chen Jinqiang Gao Yu Mei Shu Zhang Wentao Deng Guoqiang Zou Hongshuai Hou Xiaobo Ji 2022eScience2022,2,1:2

13Robust interface layers with redox shuttle reactions suppress the dendrite growth for stable solid-state Li metal batteries显示文摘Designing a durable lithium metal anode for solid state batteries requires a controllable and uniform deposition of lithium, and the metal lithium layer should maintain a good interface contact with solid state electrolyte during cycles. In this work, we construct a robust functional interface layer on the modified LiB electrode which considerably improves the electrochemical stability of lithium metal electrode in solid state batteries. It is found that the functional interface layer consisting of polydioxolane, polyiodide ion and Li TFSI effectively restrains the growth of lithium dendrites through the redox shuttle reaction of I-/I3-and maintains a good contact between lithium anode and solid electrolyte during cycles. 20Ultrasonic Characteristics and Severity Assessment of Lung Ultrasound in COVID-19 Pneumonia:A Retrospective,Observational Study显示文摘The clinical application of lung ultrasound(LS)in the assessment of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pneumonia severity remains limited,Herein,we investigated the role of LUS imaging in CoVID-19pneumonia patients and the relationship between LUS findings and disease severity.This was a retro-spective,observational study at Tongji Hospital,on 48 recruited patients with COVID-19 pneu-monia,including 32 non-critically ill patients and 16critically ill patients.LUS was performed and the respiratory rate oxygenation(ROX)index,disease severity,and confusion,blood urea nitrogen,respira-tory rate,blood pressure,and age(CURB-65)score were recorded on days 0-7,8-14,and 15-21 after symptomonset.Lung images were divided into 12 regions,and the luS score(0-36 points)was calcu-lated.hestcomputed tomography(CT)scores(0-20 points)were also recorded on days O-7.Coelations between the LUS score,ROX index,and CURB-65 scores were examined.LUS detected COVID-19 pneumonia in 38patients.LUS signs included B lines(34/38,89.5%),consolidations(6/38,15.8%),and pleural effusions(2/38,5.3%).Most cases showed more than one lesion(32/38,84.2%)and involved both lungs(28/38,73.7%).Compared with non-critically ill patients,the LUS scores of critically ill patients were higher(12(10-18)vs 2(0-5),p<0.001).The LUS score showed significant negative cor-relations with the ROX indexon days O-7(r=-0.85,p<0.001),days 8-14(r=-0.71,p<0.001),and days 15-21(r=-0.76,p<0.001)after symptom onset.However,the LUS score was positively correlated with the CT score(r=0.82,p<0.001).The number of patients with LUS-detected lesions decreased from 27 cases(81.8%)to 20 cases(46.5%),and the lus scores significantly decreased from 4(2-10)to 0(0-5),(p<0.001) from days O-7 to 17-21.We conclude that LUS can detect lunglesions in COVID-19 pneumo-nia patients in a portable,real-time,and safe manner.Thus,LUS is helpful in assessing COVID-19 pneu-monia severity in critically ill patients.Fengxue Zhu Xiujuan Zhao Tianbing Wang Zhenzhou Wang Fuzheng Guo Haiyan Xue Panpan Chang Hansheng Liang Wentao Ni Yaxin Wang Lei Chen Baoguo Jiang 2021Engineering2021,7,3:1
