2Autologous fibroblasts induce fibrosis of the nucleus pulposus to maintain the stability of degenerative intervertebral discs显示文摘Lumbar degenerative disc diseases cause low back pain(LBP). The maintenance of the height and stability of the intervertebral disc(IVD) space is an effective treatment for LBP. The following study evaluated the effects of fibroblast injection on intervertebral disc degeneration(IDD) in a preclinical setting. Compared with the IDD group, the fibroblast treatment group demonstrated effective maintenance of IVD height, reduced endplate degeneration, and improved nuclear magnetic resonance signals and overall histological structure. In doing so, fibrotic IVDs maintained the stability and biomechanics of the vertebra. This finding is in agreement with clinical findings that human nucleus pulposus(NP) fibrosis is essential for the maintenance of IVD height and mechanical properties in patients following percutaneous endoscopic lumbar discectomy(PELD). Mechanistically, we demonstrated that injected fibroblasts not only proliferated but also induced NP cells to adopt a fibrotic phenotype via the secretion of TGF-β.Finally, to better mimic human conditions, the efficacy of autologous fibroblast injection in the treatment of IDD was further examined in a nonhuman primate cynomolgus monkey model due to their capacity for upright posture. We showed that the injection of fibroblasts could maintain the IVD height and rescue IVD signals in cynomolgus monkeys. Taken together, the results of our study reveal that autologous fibroblast injection can enhance the natural process of fibrosis during acute and subacute stages of stress-induced IDD. 4Variable scheduling interval task scheduling for phased array radar显示文摘A scheduling algorithm is presented aiming at the task scheduling problem in the phased array radar. Rather than assuming the scheduling interval(SI) time, which is the update interval of the radar invoking the scheduling algorithm, to be a fixed value,it is modeled as a fuzzy set to improve the scheduling flexibility.The scheduling algorithm exploits the fuzzy set model in order to intelligently adjust the SI time. The idle time in other SIs is provided for SIs which will be overload. Thereby more request tasks can be accommodated. 5Suppression intra-channel four-wave mixing by strong dispersion management in 160 Gb/s OTDM RZ 100 km transmission显示文摘The effect of intra-channel four-wave mixing on the performance of a 160 Gb/s OTDM RZ 100 km transmission system is analyzed. Strong dispersion management to suppress the detrimental effects of intra-channel four-wave mixing is presented theoretically and verified experimentally. Results demonstrate that amplitude fluctuation and ghost pulses are well suppressed by strong dispersion management. 9Design and fabrication of erbium doped photosensitive fibers显示文摘A kind of erbium doped photosensitive fiber(EDPF) was proposed and fabricated,whose core was made of double layers named photosensitive layer and erbium doped layer.The double-layer core de-sign can overcome difficulties in fabrication of EDPF with single core design,i.e.the conflict between the high consistency rare earth doping and high consistency germanium doping.A sample was fabri-cated through the modified chemical vapor deposition method combined with solution doping tech-nique.The peak absorption coefficient was 48.80 dB/m at 1.53 μm,the background loss was lower than 0.1 dB/m,and the reflectivity of the fiber Brag gratings(FBG) written directly on the sample fiber was up to 97.3% by UV-writing technology.Moreover,a C band tunable fiber laser was fabricated using the sample fiber,in which a uniform FBG was written directly on EDPFs as a reflector.A single wavelength lasing with a maximum wavelength tuning range of 1555.2―1558.0 nm was achieved experimentally.Within this tuning range,the full-width at half maximum(FWHM) of the laser output was smaller than 0.015 nm and the side mode suppression ratio(SMSR) was better than 50 dB.LI Jian LIU Peng LU ShaoHua WANG Jing MAO XiangQiao WEI Huai FU YongJun ZHENG Kai NING TiGang LI TangJun JIAN ShuiSheng 2009Science China(Technological Sciences)2009,52,5:1

14Quantitative measurement of cerebral blood flow on patients with early syphilis显示文摘To study quantitative change of cerebral blood flow (CBF) on patients with early syphilis, we have estab- lished a method on absolute measurement of rCBF by using SPECT with Ethyl Cysteinate Dimmer (ECD) as imaging agent, and the method was applied to measure rCBF on patients with early syphilis. The rCBF values measured by this method are highly consistent with the values measured by other classical methods such as SPECT (123I-IMP) and PET (15O-H2O). The rCBF values for early syphilis patients and the normal control show some statistical differences. 15Experimental study on pollutant movement in surf zone显示文摘The experiments on pollutant movement in surf zone were conducted on the two gentle beaches(with slope of 1:100 and 1:40, respectively), for diverse wave cases. The movement contours and direction of pollutants, under the action of regular and random waves with diverse wave amplitudes, were provided and studied in this paper. 16Compensating Large PMD by Four Free degrees in an OTDM System显示文摘In this paper, by introducing a two-stages polarization mode dispersion (PMD) compensator after a optical fiber link with a large PMD, we compensated over 270ps first-order and 2000ps2 high-order PMD in a optical fiber link with super high PMD.
