| 1 | Genome-wide Analysis of Plant-specific Dof Transcription Factor Family in Tomato显示文摘The Dof (DNA binding with One Finger) family encoding single zinc finger proteins has been known as a family of plant-specific transcription factors. These transcription factors are involved in a variety of functions of importance for different biological processes in plants. In the current study, we identified 34 Dof family genes in tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.), distributed on 11 chromosomes. A complete overview of SlDof genes in tomato is presented, including the gene structures, chromosome locations, phylogeny, protein motifs and evolution pattern. Phylogenetic analysis of 34 SlDof proteins resulted in four classes constituting six clusters. In addition, a comparative analysis between these genes in tomato, Arabidopsis (Arabidopsis thaliana L.) and rice (Oryza sativa L.) was also performed. The tomato Dof family expansion has been dated to recent duplication events, and segmental duplication is predominant for the SlDof genes. Furthermore, the SlDof genes displayed differential expression either in their transcript abundance or in their expression patterns under normal growth conditions. This is the first step towards genome-wide analyses of the Dof genes in tomato. | 2 | Bioaccumulation of Heavy Metal in Wild Growing Mushrooms from Liangshan Yi Nationality Autonomous Prefecture,China显示文摘The heavy metal bioaccumulation levels of 13 species of mushrooms were studied. 13 different species of wild mush-rooms growing in China were analyzed for Cu, Zn, Pb, Cd, and As. Contents of Cu, Zn, Cd and Pb in mushroom and Cu, Zn in soil were tested by atomic absorption spectrometer (AAS), and As in samples by atomic fluorescent light (AFL). Contents of Cd and Pb in soil were analyzed by graphite furnace AAS. The results showed that contents of Cu, Pb, Cd, and As in Termitomyces microcarpus were the highest in the tested mushroom samples, which were 135.00, 13.28, 65.30, and 1.60 mg·kg-1 (dry biomass) respectively, and the corresponding bioconcentration factor (BCF) for Cu and Cd was 57 and 1 674 separately, which was the highest data in 13 mushroom species. | 3 | Biosorption of Cu(Ⅱ) and Pb(Ⅱ) by Auricularia polytricha显示文摘For searching biological material for heavy metal removal of waste-water,using macrofungus Auricularia polytricha as biosorbent for Cu2+ and Pb2+ removal was investigated. After shaking and biosorbing Cu2+ and Pb2+ in solution by biosorbents,the filtrates were tested by AAS and the adsorbed quantity of Cu2+ and Pb2+ was calculated . The biosorbents were effective in removal of Cu2+ and Pb2+ on the biosorbents that showed a high-est value around pH 5-6. The biosorption rate of Cu2+ and Pb2+ on A. polytri-cha biomass decreased with increasing the initial concentration of Cu2+ and Pb2+ in the medium. The biosorption of Cu2+ and Pb2+ on the biomasses fol-lows pseudo-second order kinetics. The determined maximum biosorption capacities presented by the fungus biomass were 3.34 and 13.03 mg·g-1 dry weight for Cu2+ and Pb2+,respectively by the biosorption equilibrium with Langmuir adsorption isotherm. According to the whole data analysis in each experiment of studying Cu2+ and Pb2+ biosorption including condition factors and adsorption isotherm,the adsorbed capacity of Pb2+ by A. polytricha bio-mass was bigger than Cu2+. The biosorption by A. polytricha was most effec-tive when pH 5-6. | 4 | Stage Division and Pattern Discovery of Complex Patient Care Processes显示文摘This paper studies the design of a clinical pathway that defines medical service activities within each stage of a patient care process. Much prior research has developed clinical process models that consider the trajectory of services occurring in a care process, by using data mining techniques on process execution logs. A novel approach that provides a more efficient way of clinical pathway design is introduced in this paper. Based on the strategy of TEI@I methodology, the proposed approach integrates statistical methods, optimization techniques and data mining. With the preprocessed data,a complex care process is subsequently divided into several medical stages, and then the patterns of each stage are identified, and thus a clinical pathway is developed. Finally, the proposed method is applied to the real world, using archival data derived from a hospital in Beijing, about three diseases that involve various departments, with an average of 300 samples for each disease. The results of realworld applications demonstrate that the proposed method can automatically and efficiently facilitate clinical pathways design. | 6 | The Effect of Online Channel Addition on Store Performance:Empirical Evidence from Chinese Chain Retailers显示文摘With the rapid development of e-Commerce and takeaway platforms, retailers have gradually developed multi-channel operations. However, limited empirical studies explored the effects of an online channel offered by takeaway platforms on the store performance. Does an online channel addition have a synergy effect or a cannibalization effect on store performance? We empirically investigate these effects by analyzing a large dataset including diverse samples collected from multiple retailers across various regions. The dataset includes 2115 stores across 25 retailers for 10 months that includes two types of retail formats and covers 16 provinces and 21 cities of China. We study the impacts of the newly introduced online channel on the incumbent offline channel and the overall store performance.The empirical results reveal that the online channel addition mainly has a synergy effect. Specifically,for the overall store, it has a positive effect on the sales and product variety, whereas it has a negative effect on the basket size. Surprisingly, an online channel addition also has a positive effect on the offline sales. Our study adds novel values to multi-channel retailing literature by empirically researching the cannibalization and synergy effect of a new type of online channel, offered by takeaway platforms. | 14 | Plasmacytoid dendritic cells promote acute kidney injury by producing interferon-α显示文摘Acute kidney injury(AKI)is a common clinical complication associated with high mortality in patients.Immune cells and cytokines have recently been described to play essential roles in AKI pathogenesis.Plasmacytoid dendritic cells(pDCs)are a unique DC subset that specializes in type Ⅰ interferon(IFN)production.Here,we showed that pDCs rapidly infiltrated the kidney in response to AKI and contributed to kidney damage by producing IFN-α.Deletion of pDCs using DTR^(BDCA2) transgenic(Tg)mice suppressed cisplatin-induced AKI,accompanied by marked reductions in proinflammatory cytokine production,immune cell infiltration and apoptosis in the kidney.In contrast,adoptive transfer of pDCs during AKI exacerbated kidney damage.We further identified IFN-α as the key factor that mediated the functions of pDCs during AKI,as IFN-α neutralization significantly attenuated kidney injury.Furthermore,IFN-α produced by pDCs directly induced the apoptosis of renal tubular epithelial cells(TECs)in vitro.In addition,our data demonstrated that apoptotic TECs induced the activation of pDCs,which was inhibited in the presence of an apoptosis inhibitor.Furthermore,similar deleterious effects of pDCs were observed in an ischemia reperfusion(IR)-induced AKI model.Clinically,increased expression of IFN-α in kidney biopsies was observed in kidney transplants with AKI.Taken together,the results of our study reveal that pDCs play a detrimental role in AKI via IFN-α. | Bo Deng Yuli Lin Yusheng Chen Shuai Ma Qian Cai Wenji Wang Bingji Li Tingyan Liu Peihui Zhou Rui He Feng Ding | 2021 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2021,18,1: | 1 |
