2EXPERIMENTAL STUDY OF FLOWFIELD STRUCTURE AROUND AN OGIVE-CYLINDER显示文摘The flowfield structure and their aerodynamic characteristics over an ogive cylinder were studied by means of flow visualization and surface pressure measurement in a water tunnel and a wind tunnel. The existence of multi asymmetric vortices over long slender bodies was experimentally confirmed at large angles of attack and in the subcritical Reynolds number range. The spatial 3 D characteristics of the multi vortices system were analyzed and a physical model was developed. The topological structure of different patterns in cross flow plane was studied and the mechanism governing the formation of asymmetric vortices and multi vortices was discussed from the viewpoint of stability of the topological structure. 3Oral berberine improves brain dopa/dopamine levels to ameliorate Parkinson’s disease by regulating gut microbiota显示文摘The phenylalanine-tyrosine-dopa-dopamine pathway provides dopamine to the brain.Iin this process,tyrosine hydroxylase(TH)isthe rate-limiting enzyme that hydroxylates tyrosine and generates levodopa(L-dopa)with tetranydrobiopterin(BH_(4))as a coenzyme.Here,we show that oral berberine(BBR)might supply H^(·) through dihydroberberine(reduced BBR produced by bacterial nitroreductase)and promote the production of BHl from dihydrobiopterin;the increased BH,enhances TH activity,which accelerates the production of L-dopa by the gut bacteria.Oral BBR acts in a way similar to vitamins.The L-dopa produced by theintestinal bacteria enters the brain through the circulation and is transformed to dopamine.To verify the gut-brain dialog activatedby BBR's effect,Enterococcus foecalis or Enterococcus faecium was transplanted into Parkinson's disease(PD)mice.The bacteriasignificantly increased brain dopamine and ameliorated PD manifestation in mice;additionally,combination of BBR with bacteriashowed better therapeutic effect than that with bacteria alone.Moreover,2,4,6-trimethy-pyranylium tetrafluoroborate(TMP-TFB)-derivatized matrix-assisted laser desorption mass spectrometry(MALDI-MS)imaging of dopamine identihed elevated striataldopamine levels in mouse brains with oral Enterococcus,and BBR strengthened the imaging intensity of brain dopamine.Theseresults demonstrated that BBR was an agonist of TH in Enterococcus and could lead to the production of L-dopa in the gut.Furthermore,a study of 28 patients with hyperlipidemia conhrmed that oral BBR increased bloodfecal L-dopa by the intestinalbacteria.Hence,BBR might improve the brain function by upregulating the biosynthesis of-dopa in the gut microbiota through avitamin-like effect.Yan Wang Qian Tong Shu-Rong Ma Zhen-Xiong Zhao Li-Bin Pan Lin Cong Pei Han Ran Peng Hang Yu Yuan Lin Tian-Le Gao Jia-Wen Shou Xiao-Yang Li Xian-Feng Zhang Zheng-Wei Zhang Jie Fu Bao-Ying Wen Jin-Bo Yu Xuetao Cao Jian-Dong Jiang 2021Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2021,6,3:16
4Effects of ultrasonic vibration on plastic deformation of AZ31 during the tensile process显示文摘An investigation on the plastic behavior of AZ31 magnesium alloy under ultrasonic vibration(with a frequency of 15 kHz and a maximum output of 2 kW) during the process of tension at room temperature was conducted to reveal the volume effect of the vibrated plastic deformation of AZ31.The characteristics of mechanical properties and microstructures of AZ31 under routine and vibrated tensile processes with different amplitudes were compared.It is found that ultrasonic vibration has a remarkable influence on the plastic behavior of AZ31 which can be summarized into two opposite aspects:the softening effect which reduces the flow resistance and improves the plasticity,and the hardening effect which decreases the formability.When a lower amplitude or vibration energy is applied to the tensile sample,the softening effect dominates,leading to a decrease of AZ31 deformation resistance with an increase of formability.Under the application of a high-vibrating amplitude,the hardening effect dominates,resulting in the decline of plasticity and brittle fracture of the samples.Tong Wen Li Wei Xia Chen Chun-lei Pei 2011International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2011,18,1:15

7Numerical simulation for determining three zones in the goaf at a fully-mechanized coal face显示文摘According to the theory of ventilation network, a model for a filtration flow field in goaf was built and simulation soft- ware for determining the three zones in goaf has been developed. This software uses no-gap-connection between Visual Basic (VB) and Excel to exchange data, uses Component Object Model (COM) component of MATLAB to plot charts of the three zones and to export the corresponding coordinates of the isolines. An example shows that this software is convenient and simple. By using it, the three zones can be easily determined. 9U–Pb Zircon Geochronology and Geochemistry of the Neoproterozoic Liujiaping Group Volcanics in the Northwest Margin of the Yangtze Block:Implications For the Breakup of the Rodinia Supercontinent显示文摘Investigation of the petrogenesis and the origin of zircons from the volcanic rocks of the Liujiaping Group of the back-Longmenshan tectonic belt in the northwest margin of the Yangtze Block is conducted by analysis of U–Pb geochronology and geochemistry. Results show that selected zircons are characterized by internal oscillatory zonings and high Th/U ratios(0.43–1.18), indicating an igneous origin. Geochronological results of LA–ICP–MS U–Pb dating of the Liujiaping Group zircons yield an age of 809 ± 11 Ma(MSWD = 2.2), implying that the volcanic rocks were formed in the Late Neoproterozoic. Geochemical analysis shows that the rocks are calc-alkaline, supersaturated in Al, and metaluminous to weakly peraluminous. Rare-earth elements are present at high concentrations(96.04–265.48 ppm) and show a rightward incline and a moderately negative Eu anomaly, similar to that of continental rift rhyolite. Trace element geochemistry is characterized by evident negative anomalies of Nb, Ta, P, Th, Ti, inter alia, and strong negative anomalies of K, Rb, Sr, et al. 11Berberine treats atherosclerosis via a vitamine-like effect downregulating Choline-TMA-TMAO production pathway in gut microbiota显示文摘Trimethylamine-N-oxide(TMAO)derived from the gut microbiota is an atherogenic metabolite.This study investigates whether or not berberine(BBR)could reduce TMAO production in the gut microbiota and treat atherosclerosis.Effects of BBR on TMAO production in the gut microbiota,as well as on plaque development in atherosclerosis were investigated in the culture of animal intestinal bacterial,HFD-fed animals and atherosclerotic patients,respectively.We found that oral BBR in animals lowers TMAO biosynthesis in intestine through interacting with the enzyme/co-enzyme of choline-trimethylamine lyase(CutC)and flavincontaining monooxygenase(FMO)in the gut microbiota.This action was performed by BBR’s metabolite dihydroberberine(a reductive BBR by nitroreductase in the gut microbiota),via a vitamine-like effect down-regulating Choline-TMA-TMAO production pathway.Oral BBR decreased TMAO production in animal intestine,lowered blood TMAO and interrupted plaque formation in blood vessels in the HFD-fed hamsters.Moreover,21 patients with atherosclerosis exhibited the average decrease of plaque score by 3.2%after oral BBR(0.5 g,bid)for 4 months(^(*)P<0.05,n=21);whereas the plaque score in patients treated with rosuvastatin plus aspirin,or clopidogrel sulfate or ticagrelor(4 months,n=12)increased by 1.9%.TMA and TMAO in patients decreased by 38 and 29%in faeces(^(*)P<0.05;^(*)P<0.05),and 37 and 35%in plasma(^(***)P<0.001;^(*)P<0.05),after 4 months on BBR.BBR might treat atherosclerotic plaque at least partially through decreasing TMAO in a mode of action similar to that of vitamins.Shu-Rong Ma Qian Tong Yuan Lin Li-Bin Pan Jie Fu Ran Peng Xian-Feng Zhang Zhen-Xiong Zhao Yang Li Jin-Bo Yu Lin Cong Pei Han Zheng-Wei Zhang Hang Yu Yan Wang Jian-Dong Jiang 2022Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2022,7,8:6
12Geochronology, Geochemistry and Tectonic Setting of the Bairiqiete Granodiorite Intrusion(Rock Mass) from the Buqingshan Tectonic Mélange Belt in the Southern Margin of East Kunlun显示文摘This study focuses on the zircon U–Pb geochronology and geochemistry of the Bairiqiete granodiorite intrusion(rock mass) from the Buqingshan tectonic mélange belt in the southern margin of East Kunlun. The results show that the zircons are characterized by internal oscillatory zoning and high Th/U(0.14–0.80), indicative of an igneous origin. LA–ICP–MS U–Pb dating of zircons from the Bairiqiete granodiorite yielded an age of 439.0 ± 1.9 Ma(MSWD = 0.34), implying that the Bairiqiete granodiorite formed in the early Silurian. Geochemical analyses show that the rocks are medium-K calc-alkaline, relatively high in Al2O3(14.57–18.34 wt%) and metaluminous to weakly peraluminous. Rare-earth elements have low concentrations(45.49–168.31 ppm) and incline rightward with weak negative to weak positive Eu anomalies(δEu = 0.64–1.34). Trace-element geochemistry is characterized by negative anomalies of Nb, Ta, Zr, Hf and Ti and positive anomalies of Rb, Th and Ba. Moreover, the rocks have similar geochemical features with adakites. The Bairiqiete granodiorite appears to have a continental crust source and formed in a subduction-related island-arc setting. 13Coriander Genomics Database:a genomic,transcriptomic,and metabolic database for coriander显示文摘Coriander(Coriandrum sativum L.),also known as cilantro,is a globally important vegetable and spice crop.Its genome and that of carrot are models for studying the evolution of the Apiaceae family.Here,we developed the Coriander Genomics Database(CGDB,http://gffzzc8ce0bd092c048a1hx5b9bxx0unxn6qf5.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/)to collect,store,and integrate the genomic,transcriptomic,metabolic,functional annotation,and repeat sequence data of coriander and carrot to serve as a central online platform for Apiaceae and other related plants.Using these data sets in the CGDB,we intriguingly found that seven transcription factor(TF)families showed significantly greater numbers of members in the coriander genome than in the carrot genome.The highest ratio of the numbers of MADS TFs between coriander and carrot reached 3.15,followed by those for tubby protein(TUB)and heat shock factors.As a demonstration of CGDB applications,we identified 17 TUB family genes and conducted systematic comparative and evolutionary analyses.RNA-seq data deposited in the CGDB also suggest dose compensation effects of gene expression in coriander.CGDB allows bulk downloading,significance searches,genome browser analyses,and BLAST searches for comparisons between coriander and other plants regarding genomics,gene families,gene collinearity,gene expression,and the metabolome.A detailed user manual and contact information are also available to provide support to the scientific research community and address scientific questions.CGDB will be continuously updated,and new data will be integrated for comparative and functional genomic analysis in Apiaceae and other related plants.Xiaoming Song Fulei Nie Wei Chen Xiao Ma Ke Gong Qihang Yang Jinpeng Wang Nan Li Pengchuan Sun Qiaoying Pei Tong Yu Jingjing Hu Xinyu Li Tong Wu Shuyan Feng Xiu-Qing Li Xiyin Wang 2020Horticulture Research2020,7,1:4

16Arbitrary cylindrical vector beam generation enabled by polarization-selective Gouy phase shifter显示文摘Cylindrical vector beams(CVBs),which possess polarization distribution of rotational symmetry on the transverse plane,can be developed in many optical technologies.Conventional methods to generate CVBs contain redundant interferometers or need to switch among diverse elements,thus being inconvenient in applications containing multiple CVBs.Here we provide a passive polarization-selective device to substitute interferometers and simplify generation setup.It is accomplished by reversing topological charges of orbital angular momentum based on a polarization-selective Gouy phase.In the process,tunable input light is the only condition to generate a CVB with arbitrary topological charges.To cover both azimuthal and radial parameters of CVBs,we express the mapping between scalar Laguerre–Gaussian light on a basic Poincaré sphere and CVB on a high-order Poincaré sphere.The proposed device simplifies the generation of CVBs enormously and thus has potential in integrated devices for both quantum and classic optical experiments.JUNLIANG JIA KEPENG ZHANG GUANGWEI HU MAPING HU TONG TONG QUANQUAN MU HONG GAO FULI LI CHENG-WEI QIU PEI ZHANG 2021Photonics Research2021,9,6:4
17High-throughput sequencing exclusively identified a novel Torque teno virus genotype in serum of a patient with fatal fever显示文摘Torque teno virus(TTV) has been found to be prevalent world-wide in healthy populations and in patients with various diseases, but its etiological role has not yet been determined. Using high-throughput unbiased sequencing to screen for viruses in the serum of a patient with persistent high fever who died of suspected viral infection and prolonged weakness, we identified the complete genome sequence of a TTV(isolate Hebei-1). The genome of TTV-Hebei-1 is 3649 bp in length, encoding four putative open reading frames, and it has a G+C content of 49%. Genomic comparison and a BLASTN search revealed that the assembled genome of TTV-Hebei-1 represented a novel isolate, with a genome sequence that was highly heterologous to the sequences of other reported TTV strains. A phylogenetic tree constructed using the complete genome sequence showed that TTV-Hebei-1 and an uncharacterized Taiwan Residents strain, TW53A37, constitute a new TTV genotype. The patient was strongly suspected of carrying a viral infection and died eventually without any other possible causes being apparent. No virus other than the novel TTV was identified in his serum sample.
