| 1 | Dynamical decoupling of electron spins in phosphorus-doped silicon显示文摘Quantum coherence is an important enabling feature underpinning quantum computation. However, because of couplings with its noisy surrounding environment, qubits suffer from the decoherence effects. The dynamical decoupling (DD) technique uses pulse-induced qubit flips to effectively mitigate couplings between qubits and environment. Optimal DD eliminates dephasing up to a given order with the minimum number of pulses. In this paper, we first introduce our recent work on prolonging electron spin coherence in γ-irradiated malonic acid crystals and analyze different decoherence mechanisms in this solid system. Then we focus on electron spin relaxation properties in another system, phosphorous-doped silicon (Si:P) crystals. These properties have been investigated by pulse electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR). We also investigate the performance of the dynamical decoupling technique on this system. | 2 | Targeted delivery of a STING agonist to brain tumors using bioengineered protein nanoparticles for enhanced immunotherapy显示文摘Immunotherapy is emerging as a powerful tool for combating many human diseases.However,the application of this life-saving treatment in serious brain diseases,including glioma,is greatly restricted.The major obstacle is the lack of effective technologies for transporting therapeutic agents across the blood-brain barrier(BBB)and achieving targeted delivery to specific cells once across the BBB.Ferritin,an iron storage protein,traverses the BBB via receptor-mediated transcytosis by binding to transferrin receptor 1(TfR1)overexpressed on BBB endothelial cells.Here,we developed bioengineered ferritin nanoparticles as drug delivery carriers that enable the targeted delivery of a small-molecule immunomodulator to achieve enhanced immunotherapeutic efficacy in an orthotopic glioma-bearing mouse model.We fused different glioma-targeting moieties on self-assembled ferritin nanoparticles via genetic engineering,and RGE fusion protein nanoparticles(RGE-HFn NPs)were identified as the best candidate.Furthermore,RGE-HFn NPs encapsulating a stimulator of interferon genes(STING)agonist(SR717@RGE-HFn NPs)maintained stable self-assembled structure and targeting properties even after traversing the BBB.In the glioma-bearing mouse model,SR717@RGE-HFn NPs elicited a potent local innate immune response in the tumor microenvironment,resulting in significant tumor growth inhibition and prolonged survival.Overall,this biomimetic brain delivery platform offers new opportunities to overcome the BBB and provides a promising approach for brain drug delivery and immunotherapy in patients with glioma. | Bin Wang Maoping Tang Ziwei Yuan Zhongyu Li Bin Hu Xin Bai Jinxian Chu Xiaoyang Xu Xue-Qing Zhang | 2022 | Bioactive Materials2022,7,10: | 2 |

| 6 | Decorating rare-earth fluoride upconversion nanoparticles on AuNRs@Ag core-shell structure for NIR light-mediated photothermal therapy and bioimaging显示文摘Photothermal therapy(PTT)has presented its inherent application value in cancer treatment.Nevertheless,single-functional photothermal materials cannot meet the precise diagnosis and treatment of cance r.Therefo re,it is important to design a nanocomposite that has both high therapeutic efficiency and multimodal imaging capabilities.In our work,a new nanostructure of gold nanorods(AuNRs)with silver shells decorated by BaGdF5:Yb^(3+),Er^(3+)nanoparticle was synthesized by a simple way.The biostability of AuNRs is increased by coating with silver shells,and the AuNR@Ag nanoparticles can be used as excellent surface enhanced Raman scattering(SERS)probe.Moreover,the modification of BaGdF5:Yb^(3+),Er^(3+)nanoparticles provides the possibility of real-time optical imaging of the tumor area.Under the irradiation of NIR laser,the AuNR@Ag/BaGdF5:Yb^(3+),Er^(3+)nanocomposites(NCs)have strong upconversion emission and excellent photothermal conversion efficiency.Meanwhile,the NCs show low cytotoxicity and good biocompatibility in MTT cytotoxicity test.Moreover,the NCs are also exceptional contrast agents for CT imaging.For in vitro photothermal therapy test,NCs show excellent killing efficiency on tumor cells.Therefore,the multifaceted research of AuNR@Ag/BaGdF5:Yb^(3+),Er^(3+)multifunctional nanomaterials provides a break for high-efficiency tumor photothermal therapy and multimodal imaging. | Jingzhi Dou Bei Chen Guixia Liu Xiangting Dong Wensheng Yu Jinxian Wang Yunxiao Zhang Zhanguo Li Jiang Zhu | 2022 | Journal of Rare Earths2022,40,2: | 1 |
