| 2 | Discovery and Significance of High CH_4 Primary Fluid Inclusions in Reservoir Volcanic Rocks of the Songliao Basin,NE China显示文摘Comparing compositions of the fluid inclusions in volcanic rocks to the contents and isotopes of the gases in corresponding volcanic reservoirs using microthermometry, Raman microspectroscopy and mass spectrum analysis, we found that: (1) up to 82 mole% methane exists in the primary inclusions hosted in the reservoir volcanic rocks; (2) high CH4 inclusions recognized in the volcanic rocks correspond to CH4-bearing CO2 reservoirs that are rich in helium and with a high 3He/4He ratio and which show reversed order of δ 13C in alkane; (3) in gas reservoirs of such abiotic methane (>80%) and a mix of CH4 and CO2, the enclosed content of CH4 in the volcanic inclusions is usually below 42 mole%, and the reversed order of δ 13C in alkane is sometimes irregular in the corresponding gas pools; (4) a glassy inclusion with a homogeneous temperature over 900°C also contains a small portion of CH4 although predominantly CO2. | 3 | Type I IFN augments IL-27-dependent TRIM25 expression to inhibit HBV replication显示文摘Hepatitis B virus(HBV)can cause chronic hepatitis B,which may lead to cirrhosis and liver cancer.Type I interferon(IFN)is an approved drug for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B.However,the fundamental mechanisms of antiviral action by type I IFN and the downstream signaling pathway are unclear.TRIM25 is an IFN-stimulated gene(ISG)that has an important role in RIG-I ubiquitination and activation.Whether TRIM25 is induced in liver cells by type I IFN to mediate anti-HBV function remains unclear.Here we report that interleukin-27(IL-27)has a critical role in IFN-induced TRIM25 upregulation.TRIM25 induction requires both STAT1 and STAT3.In TRIM25 knockout HepG2 cells,type I IFN production was consistently attenuated and HBV replication was increased,whereas overexpression of TRIM25 in HepG2 cells resulted in elevated IFN production and reduced HBV replication.More interestingly,we found that TRIM25 expression was downregulated in HBV patients and the addition of serum samples from HBV patients could inhibit TRIM25 expression in HepG2 cells,suggesting that HBV might have involved a mechanism to inhibit antiviral ISG expression and induce IFN resistance.Collectively,our results demonstrate that type I IFN-induced TRIM25 is an important factor in inhibiting HBV replication,and the IFN-IL-27-TRIM25 axis may represent a new target for treating HBV infection. | Guangyun Tan Qingfei Xiao Hongxiao Song Feng Ma Fengchao Xu Di Peng Na Li Xiaosong Wang Junqi Niu Pujun Gao F Xiao-Feng Qin Genhong Cheng | 2018 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2018,15,3: | 13 |
| 4 | Discovery of Triassic volcanic-sedimentary strata in the basement of Songliao Basin显示文摘In the Songliao Basin, the existence of lower Mesozoic strata remains a debatable issue. Previous studies indicated the absence of Triassic to Lower and Middle Jurassic strata in northeastern China because of uplift and erosion events associated with the return of geo-synclinal folds and orogenic movement during the Late Permian-Early Jurassic. To date, geochronological studies of intrusive and metamorphic rocks in the basement of the Songliao Basin have also confirmed Carboniferous, Permian, and Late Jurassic ages for the basement formations in general [1-4]. | 7 | Sedimentary Characteristics of the Cretaceous in the Songliao Basin显示文摘The rupture of the lithosphere in Late Jurassic brought about the eruption of basaltic magma in the Songliao Basin. The evolution of the basin in Cretaceous progressed through six stages: pre-rift doming, extensional fracturing, fault subsidence, fault downwarping, downwarping and shringkage, resulting in the deposition of terrstrial facies nearly 10,000 m thick. There are different depositional sequences in these stages: the depositional period of the Early Cretaceous Shahezi and Yincheng Formations is the development stage of the down-faulted basin, forming a volcanic rock-alluvial fan-fan delta-lacustrine (intercalated with episodic turbidites)-swamp facies sequences; the period of the Early Cretaceous Dengluku Formation is the transformation stage of fault subsidence into fault downwarping of the basin, forming a sequence mainly of alluvial plain-lacustrine facies; the depositional period of the Early Cretaceous Quantou Formation-Late Cretaceous Nenjiang Formation is the downwarping stage of the basin, forming an alluvial plain-delta-lacustrine facies sequence; the period of the Late Cretaceous Sifangtai Formation-Mingshui Formation is the shringkage stage of the basin, forming again a sequence mainly of alluvial plain-alluvial fan and small relict lacustrine facies. The complex volcanostratigraphy of the Changbaishan area can be divided into four types of filling patterns from bottom to top. They are lava flows filling in valleys(LFFV), lava flows filling in platform(LFFP), lava flows formed the cone(LFFC), and pyroclastic Flow filling in crater or valleys(PFFC/V). LFFV has been divided into four layers and terminates as a lateral overlap. The topography of LFFV, which is controlled by the landform, is lens shaped with a wide flat top and narrow bottom.LFFP has been divided into three layers and terminates as a lateral downlap. The topography of LFFP is sheet and tabular shaped with a narrow top and wide bottom. It has large width to thickness ratio. It was built by multiple eruptive centers distributed along the fissure. The topography of LFFC, which is located above the LFFP, has a hummocky shape with a narrow sloping top and a wide flat bottom. It terminates as a later downlap or backstepping. It has large width to thickness ratio. It was built by a single eruptive center. The topography of PFFC/V, which located above the LFFC, LFFP, or valley, has the shape of fan and terminates as a lateral downlap or overlap. It has a small width to thickness ratio and was built by a single eruptive center. The filling pattern is controlled by temperature, SiO_2 content,volatile content, magma volume, and the paleolandform. In the short term, the eruptive production of the Changbaishan area is comenditic ash or pumice of a Plinian type eruption. | 15 | Modeling the multi-level plumbing system of the Changbaishan caldera from geochemical, mineralogical, Sr-Nd isotopic and integrated geophysical data显示文摘Changbaishan,an intraplate volcano,is characterized by an approximately 6 km wide summit caldera and last erupted in 1903.Changbaishan experienced a period of unrest between 2002 and 2006.The activity developed in three main stages,including shield volcano(basalts),cone-construction(trachyandesites to trachytes with minor basalts),and caldera-forming stages(trachytes to comendites).This last stage is associated with one of the more energetic eruptions of the last millennium on Earth,the 946 CE,VEI 7 Millennium Eruption(ME),which emitted over 100 km^(3) of pyroclastics.Compared to other active calderas,the plumbing system of Changbaishan and its evolution mechanisms remain poorly constrained.Here,we merge new whole-rock,glass,mineral,isotopic,and geobarometry data with geophysical data and present a model of the plumbing system.The results show that the volcano is characterized by at least three main magma reservoirs at different depths:a basaltic reservoir at the Moho/lower crust depth,an intermediate reservoir at 10-15 km depth,and a shallower reservoir at 0.5-3 km depth.The shallower reservoir was involved in the ME eruption,which was triggered by a fresh trachytic melt entering a shallower reservoir where a comenditic magma was stored.The trachytes and comendites originate from fractional crystallization processes and minor assimilation of upper crust material,while the less evolved melts assimilate lower crust material.Syn-eruptive magma mingling occurred during the ME eruption phase.The magma reservoirs of the caldera-forming stage partly reactivate those of the cone-construction stage.The depth of the magma storage zones is controlled by the layering of the crust.The plumbing system of Changbaishan is vertically extensive,with crystal mush reservoirs renewed by the replenishment of new trachytic to trachyandesitic magma from depth.Unlike other volcanoes,evidence of a basaltic recharge is lacking.The interpretation of the signals preceding possible future eruptions should consider the multi-level nature of the Changbaishan plumbing system.A new arrival of magma may destabilize a part of or the entire system,thus triggering eruptions of different sizes and styles.The reference model proposed here for Changbaishan represents a prerequisite to properly understand periods of unrest to potentially anticipate future volcanic eruptions and to identify the mechanisms controlling the evolution of the crust below volcanoes. | Jian Yi Pujun Wang Xuanlong Shan Guido Ventura Chengzhi Wu Jiannan Guo Pencheng Liu Jiahui Li | 2021 | Geoscience Frontiers2021,12,5: | 2 |

| 20 | A New DOPO-Eugenol Adduct as an Effective Flame Retardant for Epoxy Thermosets with Improved Mechanical Properties显示文摘The development of efficient green flame retardants is an important way to realize more sustainable epoxy thermosets and downstream materials.In this work,a monoepoxide is synthesized through O-glycidylation of eugenol,and then reacted with DOPO(9,10-dihydro-9-oxa-10-phosphophenanthrene-10-oxide)to obtain a new bio-based flame retardant,DOPO-GE.DOPO-GE is blended with a bisphenol A epoxy prepolymer exhibiting good compatibility and DDS(4,4′-diaminodiphenylsulfone)is used as the curing agent to afford epoxy thermosets.Although DOPO-GE leads to the reduced glass transition temperature of the thermosets,the storage modulus increases considerably.The DOPO-GE-modified thermosets exhibit the high thermal stability with the onset thermal decomposition temperature in nitrogen and air exceeding 300℃.When the phosphorus content in the thermoset is 1.0%,the residual yield of the thermosets at 750℃ in nitrogen increases from 13.9%to 30.6%,due to the increased charring ability.More interestingly,when the phosphorus content is only 0.5%,the limiting oxygen index is as high as 30.3%with UL94 V0 achieved.Cone calorimeter results reveals the significantly decreased heat release rate,total heat release,mass loss and total smoke production.Furthermore,DOPO-GE can notably improve the flexural strength,flexural modulus and fracture toughness,whereas the shear and impact strength are reduced to varied extents.In short,DOPO-GE can be obtained via a facile way,and shows the good flame-retardant effect on the epoxy thermosets with an application potential. | Daqin Zhang Chufeng Yang Huayang Ran Juanli Wang Jintao Wan Yuhu Li Pujun Jin Daodao Hu | 2022 | Journal of Renewable Materials2022,10,7: | 1 |
