| 1 | Multi-layer Tectonic Model for Intraplate Deformation and Plastic-Flow Network in the Asian Continental Lithosphere显示文摘In a large area of the east—central Asian continent there is a unified seismic network system composed of two families of large—seismic belts that intersect conjugately. Such a seismic network in the middle—upper crust is actually a response to the plastic flow network in the lower lithosphere including the lower crust and lithospheric mantle. The existence of the unified plastic flow system confirms that the driving force for intraplate tectonic deformation results mainly from the compression of the India plate, while the long-range transmission of the force is carried out chiefly by means of plastic flow. | 2 | Effect of rock mechanical properties on electromagnetic radiation mechanism of rock fracturing显示文摘The influence of rock mechanical properties on the electromagnetic radiation(EMR)mechanism of rock fracturing is an important research topic in solid mechanics and earthquake prediction.In this study,an EMR model of rock fracturing considering the fracture factor,elastic modulus,Poisson’s ratio,radiation distance and crack length is derived based on the Hertz oscillator array assumption.An experimental system,including an electromagnetic shielding module,an EMR signal induction and transmission module,a signal recording module and a loading module,is developed to understand the EMR characteristics of four different rocks.The validity of the EMR theoretical model is verified and the relationships between the rock cracking morphology and the EMR waveform,amplitude and frequency are revealed.It is found that rock mechanical properties have obvious influences on the EMR waveform,amplitude and frequency during rock fracturing.This study provides a better understanding on the EMR mechanism of rock fracturing and can help to improve the accuracy of rock disaster prediction based on EMR. | Peng Lin Pengcheng Wei Cheng Wang Shengzu Kang Xin Wang | 2021 | Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2021,13,4: | 2 |

| 4 | Application of sentinel lymph node (SLN) biopsy in breast cancer patients显示文摘Objective: To discuss if the sentinel lymph node (SLN) biopsy is able to reflect the status of the axillary lymph node and the application of this technic in clinic. Methods: Using 99mTc-signed dextran, SLN-biopsy (SLNB) was carried out in 182 cases with breast cancer during May 1999 to September 2006. During the operation, γ-detector was used for orientation. After the SLNB, a modified radical mastectomy or breast conserving surgery were carried out to the patients, then a particular separate pathological examination of the SLN was made. Results: 178 cases of SLNB were carried out successfully, and the success rate was 97.8%, the out-checked SLN of each case ranged from 1 to 4, with an average of 2.5. All SLN was located at the first level of axilla, sensitivity of the SLNB was 93.4%, specificity was 100%, false negative rate was 6.6%, false positive rate was 0, accuracy was 97.8%, positive predictive value was 100.0%, negative predictive value was 96.7%, and Youden’s index was 0.934. Immunohistochemical examination was carried out in 59 cases of SLN, and 14 cases showed the existences of micro-metastasis, however, metastasis had not been found in non-SLN of these cases. Conclusion: SLN is able to reflect the metastasis of the axillary lymph node, and this can suggest the necessity of the axillary dissection in clinic. | 8 | Earthquake-Affected Time-Space Domain, Recurrence Interval and Effective Preparation Time of Earthquakes显示文摘The study shows that earthquake-affected time-space domain (ETSD), i.e. a time-space range in which strong earthquakes are unable to occur owing to the influence of a prior earthquake occurring, shows a hyperbolic margin curve in the t(time)-r(distance) coordinate plane, which has a maximum affected radius r 0 at t=0 and a maximum influence time t 0 (i.e. the in-situ recurrence interval of earthquakes) at r=0. Based on the time-distance distributions of posterior earthquakes relative to prior ones in the regions of North China, Northwest China, Qinghai-Xizang (Tibet) plateau and Southwest China, the optimized and 90%-confidence margin curves are estimated using optimization and statistical analysis methods.
