| 1 | Multi-objective Optimization of a Parallel Ankle Rehabilitation Robot Using Modified Differential Evolution Algorithm显示文摘Dimensional synthesis is one of the most difficult issues in the field of parallel robots with actuation redundancy. To deal with the optimal design of a redundantly actuated parallel robot used for ankle rehabilitation, a methodology of dimensional synthesis based on multi-objective optimization is presented. First, the dimensional synthesis of the redundant parallel robot is formulated as a nonlinear constrained multi-objective optimization problem. Then four objective functions, separately reflecting occupied space, input/output transmission and torque performances, and multi-criteria constraints, such as dimension, interference and kinematics, are defined. In consideration of the passive exercise of plantar/dorsiflexion requiring large output moment, a torque index is proposed. To cope with the actuation redundancy of the parallel robot, a new output transmission index is defined as well. The multi-objective optimization problem is solved by using a modified Differential Evolution(DE) algorithm, which is characterized by new selection and mutation strategies. Meanwhile, a special penalty method is presented to tackle the multi-criteria constraints. Finally, numerical experiments for different optimization algorithms are implemented. The computation results show that the proposed indices of output transmission and torque, and constraint handling are effective for the redundant parallel robot; the modified DE algorithm is superior to the other tested algorithms, in terms of the ability of global search and the number of non-dominated solutions. | 4 | Multi-fluid modeling of density segregation in a dense binary fluidized bed显示文摘This paper presents simulation results of the density segregation in a dense binary gas fluidized bed using a multi-fluid model from Chao et al. (2011). The segregation behavior of two types of particles with approximately same particle diameters and different particle densities was studied and validated using the experimental data from Formisani et al. (2008). Some detailed information regarding the gas, particle velocity profiles, the distributions of the particle volume fractions and the flotsam-to-total par- ticle volume fraction ratios is presented. The simulation results show that the simulated axial average flotsam-to-total particle volume fraction ratio distribution agrees reasonably with the experimental data of Formisani et al. (2008). The binary particle velocities are closely coupled though the segregation exists. The segregation behavior and the particle velocity profiles are superficial gas velocity dependent. The number and distribution of particle velocity vortices change dramatically with superficial gas velocity: at a comparatively low superficial gas velocity, the particles mainly segregate axially, and at a comparatively high superficial gas velocity, the particles segregate both axially and radially. | Zhongxi Chao Yuefa Wang Jana P. | 5 | A volume-amending method to improve mass conservation of level set approach for incompressible two-phase flows显示文摘A volume-amending method is developed both to keep the level set function as an algebraic distance function and to preserve the bubble mass in a level set approach for incompressible two-phase flows with the significantly deformed free interface. After the traditional reinitialization procedure, a vol-ume-amending method is added for correcting the position of the interface according to mass loss/gain error until the mass error falls in the allowable range designated in advance. The level set approach with this volume-amending method incorporated has been validated by three test cases: the motion of a single axisymmetrical bubble or drop in liquid, the motion of a two-dimensional water drop falling through the air into a water pool, and the interactional motion of two buoyancy-driven three- dimensional deformable bubbles. | 14 | Boosting charge separation of BiVO_(4)photoanode modified with 2D metal-organic frameworks nanosheets for high-performance photoelectrochemical water splitting显示文摘Water splitting by photoelectrochemical(PEC)processes to convert solar energy into hydrogen energy using semiconductors is regarded as one of the most ideal methods to solve the current energy crisis and has attracted widespread attention.Herein,Co-based metal-organic framework(Co(bpdc)(H_(2)O)_(4)(CoMOF)nanosheets as passivation layers were in-situ constructed on the surface of Bi VO_(4)films through an uncomplicated hydrothermal method(Co-MOF/Bi VO_(4)).Under AM 1.5G illumination,synthesized CoMOF/BiVO_(4)electrode exhibited a 4-fold higher photocurrent than bare Bi VO_(4),measuring 6.0 m A/cm^(2)at 1.23 V vs.RHE in 1 mol/L potassium borate electrolyte(pH 9.5)solution.Moreover,the Co-MOF/BiVO_(4)film demonstrated a 96%charge separation efficiency,a result caused by an inhibited recombination rate of photogenerated electrons and holes by the addition of Co-MOF nanosheets.This work provides an idea for depositing inexpensive 2D Co-MOF nanosheets on the photoanode as an excellent passivation layer for solar fuel production. | Lina Wang Zejun Liu Jinming Zhang Yuefa Jia Jingwei Huang Qiong Mei Qizhao Wang | 2023 | Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,6: | 0 |
