| 2 | Folate receptor-mediated boron-10 containing carbon nanoparticles as potential delivery vehicles for boron neutron capture therapy of nonfunctional pituitary adenomas显示文摘Invasive nonfunctional pituitary adenomas(NFPAs) are difficult to completely resect and often develop tumor recurrence after initial surgery.Currently,no medications are clinically effective in the control of NFPA.Although radiation therapy and radiosurgery are useful to prevent tumor regrowth,they are frequently withheld because of severe complications.Boron neutron capture therapy(BNCT) is a binary radiotherapy that selectively and maximally damages tumor cells without harming the surrounding normal tissue.Folate receptor(FR)-targeted boron-10 containing carbon nanoparticles is a novel boron delivery agent that can be selectively taken up by FR-expressing cells via FR-mediated endocytosis.In this study,FR-targeted boron-10 containing carbon nanoparticles were selectively taken up by NFPAs cells expressing FR but not other types of non-FR expressing pituitary adenomas.After incubation with boron-10 containing carbon nanoparticles and following irradiation with thermal neutrons,the cell viability of NFPAs was significantly decreased,while apoptotic cells were simultaneously increased.However,cells administered the same dose of FR-targeted boron-10 containing carbon nanoparticles without neutron irradiation or received the same neutron irradiation alone did not show significant decrease in cell viability or increase in apoptotic cells.The expression of Bcl-2 was down-regulated and the expression of Bax was up-regulated in NFPAs after treatment with FR-mediated BNCT.In conclusion,FR-targeted boron-10 containing carbon nanoparticles may be an ideal delivery system of boron to NFPAs cells for BNCT.Furthermore,our study also provides a novel insight into therapeutic strategies for invasive NFPA refractory to conventional therapy,while exploring these new applications of BNCT for tumors,especially benign tumors. | DAI CongXin CAI Feng HWANG Kuo Chu ZHOU YongMao ZHANG ZiZhu LIU XiaoHai MA SiHai YANG YaKun YAO Yong FENG Ming BAO XinJie LI GuiLin WEI JunJi JIAO YongHui WEI ZhenQing MA WenBin WANG RenZhi | 2013 | Science China(Life Sciences)2013,56,2: | 8 |
| 3 | The Construction of Active Source Repeated Monitoring in the Qilian Mountain, Gansu Province显示文摘The exciting source of the active source repeated monitoring is located in the Xiliushui Reservoir in Zhangye,Gansu Province. The system began operating normally on July 9,2015,and we had completed a period of 40 days of continuous excitation experiment before November 10,2015. Our results reveal that the airgun source has good consistency and repeatability,and the detective system of active source can record signal clearly. The construction of active source repeated exploration projects has achieved some results,which can provide valuable experience for the research of active source repeated exploration. | 4 | Investigation on full distribution CNC system based on SERCOS bus显示文摘A full distribution CNC system based on SERCOS bus is studied in accordance with the limitations of traditional PC-based motion card. The conventional PC-based motion control card is dispersed into several autonomous intelligent servo-control units with the function of servo driver. The autonomous intelligent servo-control units realize the loop control of position, velocity and current. Interpolation computation is completed in PC and the computational results are transferred to every autonomous intelligent servo-control unit by high speed SERCOS bus. Software or hardware synchronization technology is used to ensure all servomotors are successive and synchronously running. The communication and synchronization technology of SERCOS are also researched and the autonomous intelligent servo-control card is developed byself. | 6 | Smart and fast reinforcement design for anti-dip bedding rock slopes显示文摘Rock slopes are usually reinforced by a number of rock bolts due to the high efficiency and low price.However,where should the rock bolts be installed is still a troublesome issue.For anti-dip bedding rock slopes(ABRSs),the installation position of rock bolts is a controlling factor that determines the reinforcement effect.In this work,a theoretical method is firstly proposed for assessing the stability of ABRSs reinforced by rock bolts using a limit equilibrium model.A comparison of theoretical calculations and numerical results was conducted to test the correctness of the theoretical method.Based on the stability assessment of ABRSs,we introduce adaptive moment estimation method(Adam)to optimize the installation location of rock bolts.Using Adam optimizer,the optimal layout of rock bolts with the maximum factor of safety can be determined,and the factor of safety of the slope increases by about 25%using the same amount of rock bolts but with different installation locations.The proposed method enables the fast stability analysis and supporting design for reinforced ABRSs,which paves the way to smart supporting design of slopes. | Yun Zheng Congxin Chen Fei Meng Xiaodong Fu Wei Yuan | 2023 | Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2023,15,11: | 0 |
| 7 | FGF8 signaling sustains progenitor status and multipotency of cranial neural crest-derived mesenchymal cells in vivo and in vitro显示文摘The cranial neural crest(CNC)cells play a vital role in craniofacial development and regeneration.They are multi-potent progenitors,being able to differentiate into various types of tissues.Both pre-migratory and post-migratory CNC cells are plastic,taking on diverse fates by responding to different inductive signals.However,what sustains the multipotency ofCNCcells andderivatives remains largely unknown.In this study,we present evidence that FGF8 signaling is able to sustain progenitor status and multipotency of CNC-derived mesenchymal cells both in vivo and in vitro.We show that augmented FGF8 signaling in pre-migratory CNC cells prevents cell differentiation and organogenesis in the craniofacial region by maintaining their progenitor status.CNC-derived mesenchymal cells with Fgf8 overexpression or control cells in the presence of exogenous FGF8 exhibit prolonged survival,proliferation,and multi-potent differentiation capability in cell cultures.Remarkably,exogenous FGF8 also sustains the capability of CNC-derived mesenchymal cells to participate in organogenesis such as odontogenesis.Furthermore,FGF8-mediated signaling strongly promotes adipogenesis but inhibits osteogenesis of CNC-derived mesenchymal cells in vitro.Our results reveal a specific role for FGF8 in the maintenance of progenitor status and in fate determination of CNC cells,implicating a potential application in expansion and fate manipulation of CNC-derived cells in stem cell-based craniofacial regeneration. | Meiying Shao Chao Liu Yingnan Song Wenduo Ye Wei He Guohua Yuan Shuping Gu Congxin Lin Liang Ma Yanding Zhang Weidong Tian Tao Hu YiPing Chen | 2015 | Journal of Molecular Cell Biology2015,7,5: | 0 |
| 8 | Effects of the Nepal M_S8. 1 Earthquake in 2015 on Seismic Activity in the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau显示文摘We obtained the displacement and deformation caused by the 2015 Nepal MS8. 1 earthquake adopting the finite element method,and analyzed the displacement and deformation characteristics and effect of three large earthquakes on seismic activity in the Qinghai-Tibetan block. Our primary results suggest southward movement of the QinghaiTibetan block is caused by a large earthquake occurring on thrust fault in the Himalayan zone,the displacement direction is reverse to the background displacement. The occurrence of these large earthquakes will result in stress unloading and earthquake activity will be weakened in stress unloading areas. | 9 | Two-dimensional ferromagnetic materials and related van der Waals heterostructures: a first-principle study显示文摘Since the successful fabrication of two-dimensional (2D) ferromagnetic (FM) monolayer CrI3 and Cr2Ge2Te6, 2D FM materials are becoming an exciting research topic in condensed matter physics and materials fields, as they provide a good platform to explore the fundamental physical properties of magnetic materials under 2D limit. In this review, we summarize the theoretical research progress of intrinsic 2D FM materials and related van der Waals heterostructures (vdWHs) including their electronic structures, magnetism, Curie temperature, valley polarization, and band alignment. Moreover, we also summarize recent researches on the methods that used to regulate the above properties of 2D FM materials and vdWHs, such as defects, doping, strain, electric field and interlayer coupling. These studies show that 2D FM materials have broad application prospects in spintronics and valleytronics. | 10 | Analysis of Thermal Infrared Anomalies for the April16,2013M_W7.8of Khash, Iran Earthquake显示文摘After using the 'Time-Frequency Relative Power Spectrum'( T-F RPS) method based on the China Geostationary Meteorological Satellite( FY-2 C/FY-2 E) infrared remote sensing brightness temperature data processing,we rapidly and accurately extracted and identified pre-earthquake thermal infrared anomalies for the April 16,2013 MW7. 8 of Khash,Iran Earthquake. Spatial evolution of anomalies showed the distribution and process. The anomalies were mainly distributed in the east of Khash,Iran. The characteristics of process and distribution presented X-Type model of NE and near NS strip which relates to the geological structure of this region. The epicenter was located near the intersection region of the X-Type abnormal migration process. Besides,the results of time series of anomalies showed that,the duration was more than 40 days and the maximum amplitude was about18 times.
