1Roles of a sustained activation of NCED3 and the synergistic regulation of ABA biosynthesis and catabolism in ABA signal production in Arabidopsis显示文摘ABA, acting as a stress signal, plays crucial roles in plant resistance to water stress. Because ABA signal production is based on ABA biosynthesis, the regulation of NCED, a key enzyme in the ABA biosynthesis pathway, is normally thought of as the sole factor controlling ABA signal production. Here we demonstrate that ABA catabolism in combination with a synergistic regulation of ABA biosynthesis plays a crucial role in governing ABA signal production. Water stress induced a significant accumulation of ABA, which exhibited different patterns in detached and attached leaves. ABA catabolism followed a temporal trend of exponential decay for both basic and stress ABA, and there was little difference in the catabolic half-lives of basic ABA and stress ABA. Thus, the absolute rate of ABA catabolism, i.e. the amount of ABA catabolized per unit time, increases with increased ABA accumulation. From the dynamic processes of ABA biosynthesis and catabolism, it can be inferred that stress ABA accumulation may be governed by a synergistic regulation of all the steps in the ABA biosynthesis pathway. Moreover, to maintain an elevated level of stress ABA sustained activation of NCED3 should be required. This inference was supported by further findings that the genes encoding major enzymes in the ABA biosynthesis pathway, e.g. NCED3, AAO3 and ABA3 were all activated by water stress, and with ABA accumulation progressing, the expressions of NCED3, AAO3 and ABA3 remained activated. 3Advances in luminescent lanthanide complexes and applications显示文摘Luminescent lanthanide complexes have been widely investigated as light emitting materials in bio-imaging and sensing, solid state lighting and display, anti-fake tags and light conversion films, due to their characterized photophysical properties including large Stokes shift, long lifetime, and sharp emission spectrum, arising from the sensitized f-f transitions. In this review, we summarize the most recent advances in luminescent lanthanide complexes and their applications from 2015 to August 2017 concerning of general concepts to potential applications. We first introduce the basic concept of sensitized luminescence of lanthanide complexes and the strategies used for highly luminescent complexes. Then recent varieties of luminescent lanthanide complexes and their hybrid materials are presented. 5Biocompatible carbon dots with low-saturation-intensity and highphotobleaching-resistance for STED nanoscopy imaging of the nucleolus and tunneling nanotubes in living cells显示文摘Many kinds of nano particles and organic dyes as fluorescent probes have been used in the stimulated emission depletion(STED)nanoscopy.Due to high toxicity,photobleaching and non-water solubility,these fluorescent probes are hard to apply in living cell imaging.Here,we reporta new fluorescence carbon dots(FNCDs)with high photoluminescence quantum yield(56%),low toxicity,anti-photobleaching and goodwater-solubility that suitable for live-cell imaging can be obtained by doping fluorine element.Moreover,the FNCDs can stain the nucleolusand tunneling nanotubes(TNTs)in the living cell.More importantly,for STED nanoscopy imaging,the FNCDs effectively depleted backgroundsignals and improved imaging resolution.Furthermore,the lateral resolution of single FNCDs size under the STED nanoscopy is up to 22.1 nm for FNCDs deposited on a glass slide was obtained.And because of their good water dispersibility,the higher resolution of single FNCDs sizein the nucleolus of a living cell can be up to 19.7 nm.After the image optimizati on steps,the fine fluoresce nee images of TNTs diameter with ca.75 nm resolution is obtained living cell,yielding a threefold enhancement compared with that in confocal imaging.Additionally,the FNCDs show excellent photobleaching resistance after 1,000 scan cycles in the STED model.All results show that FNCDs have significant potentialfor application in STED nanoscopy.Hao Li Shuai Ye Jiaqing Guo Huibo Wang Wei Yan Jun Song Junie Qu 2019Nano Research2019,12,12:0
6Efficient green OLEDs achieved by a terbium(Ⅲ)complex with photoluminescent quantum yield close to 100%显示文摘Electroluminescence of f-f transition lanthanide complex is a traditional topic for display over decades.Here we report highly efficient organic light-emitting diodes based on a new terbium(III)complex with novel ligand CPMIP(1-(4-cyanophenyl)-3-methyl-4-isobutyryl-pyrazoline-5-one).The high triplet energy level of CPMIP(3.0 e V)and inhibited quenching effects in the solid-state lead to a nearly 100%photoluminescent quantum efficiency of Tb(CPMIP)3.The best Tb(CPMIP)3 device exhibited maximum external quantum efficiency up to 19.7%,setting a new record of OLEDs based on f-f transition lanthanide complexes.Zifeng Zhao Mengying Bian Chenjian Lin Xuzheng Fu Gang Yu Huibo Wei Zhiwei Liu Zuqiang Bian Chunhui Huang 2021Science China Chemistry2021,64,9:0
