2RTP payload format for H.264/SVC scalable video coding显示文摘The scalable extension of H.264/AVC, known as scalable video coding or SVC, is currently the main focus of the Joint Video Team’s work. In its present working draft, the higher level syntax of SVC follows the design principles of H.264/AVC. Self-contained network abstraction layer units (NAL units) form natural entities for packetization. The SVC specification is by no means finalized yet, but nevertheless the work towards an optimized RTP payload format has already started. RFC 3984, the RTP payload specification for H.264/AVC has been taken as a starting point, but it became quickly clear that the scalable features of SVC require adaptation in at least the areas of capability/operation point signaling and documentation of the extended NAL unit header. This paper first gives an overview of the history of scalable video coding, and then reviews the video coding layer (VCL) and NAL of the latest SVC draft specification. 3High-resolution multimodal flexible coherent Raman endoscope显示文摘Coherent Raman scattering microscopy is a fast,label-free,and chemically specific imaging technique that shows high potential for future in vivo optical histology.However,the imaging depth in tissues is limited to the sub-millimeter range because of absorption and scattering.Realization of coherent Raman imaging using a fiber endoscope system is a crucial step towards imaging deep inside living tissues and providing information that is inaccessible with current microscopy tools.Until now,the development of coherent Raman endoscopy has been hampered by several issues,mainly related to the fiber delivery of the excitation pulses and signal collection.Here,we present a flexible,compact,coherent Raman,and multimodal nonlinear endoscope(4.2mm outer diameter,71mm rigid length)based on a resonantly scanned hollow-core Kagomé-lattice double-clad fiber.The fiber design enables distortion-less,background-free delivery of femtosecond excitation pulses and back-collection of nonlinear signals through the same fiber.Sub-micrometer spatial resolution over a large field of view is obtained by combination of a miniature objective lens with a silica microsphere lens inserted into the fiber core.We demonstrate high-resolution,high-contrast coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering,and second harmonic generation endoscopic imaging of biological tissues over a field of view of 320μm at a rate of 0.8 frames per second.These results pave the way for intraoperative label-free imaging applied to real-time histopathology diagnosis and surgery guidance.Alberto Lombardini Vasyl Mytskaniuk Siddharth Sivankutty Esben Ravn Andresen Xueqin Chen Jérôme Wenger Marc Fabert Nicolas Joly Frédéric Louradour Alexandre Kudlinski Hervé Rigneault 2018Light(Science & Applications)2018,7,1:6
4What do the recent American Heart Association/American College of Cardiology Foundation Clinical Practice Guidelines tell us about the evolving management of coronary heart disease in older adults?显示文摘Biological aging predisposes older adults to increased cardiovascular disease (CHD) and greater disease complexity. Given the high age-related prevalence of CHDand age-related compounding factors, the recently updatedAmerican HeartAssociation/American College of Cardiology Foundation CHD-related guidelines increased their focus on older patients. These guidelines are predominately evidence-based (using data from quality randomized clinical trials) and are organized to delineate medications and procedures that best treat particular cardiovascular diseases.While such rationale and thought work well in young and middle aged adults, they become problematic in patientswho are very old. Data pertaining to adults aged ≥80 are virtually absent from most randomized clinical trials, and even in the instances when very old patients were included, eligibility criteria typically excluded candidates with co-morbidities and complexities of customary CHD patients. While medications and interventions yielding benefit in clinical trials should theoretically produce the greatest benefits for patients with high intrinsic risk, age-related cardiovascular complexities also increase iatrogenic risks. Navigating between the potential for high benefit and high risk in “evidence-based”cardiovascular management remains a key Geriatric Cardiology challenge. 12Glucocorticoid receptor gene haplotype structure and steroid therapy outcome in IBD patients显示文摘AIM: To study whether the glucocorticoid receptor (GR/ NR3C1) gene haplotypes influence the steroid therapy outcome in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). METHODS: We sequenced all coding exons and flanking intronic sequences of the NR3C1 gene in 181 IBD patients, determined the single nucleotide polymorphisms, and predicted the NR3C1 haplotypes. Furthermore, we investigated whether certain NR3C1 haplotypes are significantly associated with steroid therapy outcomes. RESULTS: We detected 13 NR3C1 variants, which led to the formation of 17 different haplotypes with a certainty of > 95% in 173 individuals. The three most commonly occurring haplotypes were included in the association analysis of the influence of haplotype on steroid therapy outcome or IBD activity. None of the NR3C1 haplotypes showed statistically signifi cant association with glucocorticoid therapy success.
