3Dynamic characteristics of dwarf Chinese hickory trees under impact excitations for mechanical fruit harvesting显示文摘Mechanical vibration is an effective fruit harvesting method.To evaluate the dynamic characteristics of dwarf Chinese hickory(Carya cathayensis Sarg.)trees and the influence of the tree structure on transmission and attenuation of dynamic response,a new method was proposed based on acceleration admittance measurement on dwarf Chinese hickory trees in orchard environment under impact excitation.The primary resonance frequencies of the tree can be determined based on the acceleration admittance measurement.The effect of the tree structure on the vibratory transmission was quantified using the attenuation ratio of the acceleration admittance.A 5-year-old dwarf Chinese hickory tree sample was tested.The responses at three resonance frequencies(5,9 and 12 Hz)were analyzed because they were identified as the most effective bands of excitation for the main part of the tree specimen.The results reveal that the variation of the dynamic response along the testing tree is greatly related to the Chinese hickory tree structure.The attenuation ratio of the acceleration admittance at the branch crotches indicates the leader top crotch may amplify the acceleration admittance no matter what the crotch angle and the branch diameter is.Unlike the crotches,the branch chain nodes generally have negative influence on the acceleration admittance along the branch chains which heavily depend on the branch chain configuration.The branch chains with a chain angle no less than 150°and a wood diameter ratio close to 1.0 could produce little influence on the vibration transmission.For those branches with chain angle less than 150°,the vibration was generally attenuated at their chain nodes at three resonance frequencies.To impose impact excitations on the tree,high mechanical harvesting efficiency could be achieved on those branch chains which are almost straight and uniform.Du Xiaoqiang Wu Chuanyu He Leiying Tong Junhua 2015International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2015,8,1:8
4Multi-agent modeling and analysis of EV users' travel willingness based on an integrated causal/statistical/behavioral model显示文摘An electric vehicle(EV) centred ecosystem has not yet been formed, the existing limited statistic data are far from enough for the analysis of EV users' travel and charge behaviors, which however tends to be affected by many certain and uncertain factors. An experimental economics(EE)-based simulation method can be used to analyze thebehaviors of key participants in a system. However, it is restricted by the system size, experimental site and the number of qualified human participants. Therefore, this method is hard to be adopted for the behavioral analysis of a large number of human participants. In this paper, a new method combining a questionnaire statistics and the EEbased simulation is proposed. The causal relationship is considered in the design of the questionnaires and data extraction, then a multi-agent modeling integration method is introduced in the EE-based simulation, which enables the integration of causal/statistical/behavioral models into the multi-agent framework to reflect the EV users' travel willingness statistically. 7Effect of glycine addition on the in-vitro corrosion behavior of AZ31 magnesium alloy in Hank’s solution显示文摘This study reports on the effect of the addition of Glycine to Hank’s solution on the in-vitro corrosion behavior of AZ31 magnesium(Mg)alloy at 37℃and a pH of 7.4 studied by using potentiodynamic polarization(PDP),hydrogen collecting techniques and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS)in combination with surface characterization techniques such as optical microscopy(OM),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),energy dispersive spectroscopy(EDS),X-ray diffraction(XRD)and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy analysis(XPS).The results reveal that adsorption of glycine initially subdues the dissolution of AZ31 Mg alloy while in long run it enhances the dissolution of the alloy due to the commencement of the chelation effect of glycine with Ca^(2+) released from hydroxyapatite.The chelation of glycine with Ca^(2+) induces the formation of cracks in the surface film which further promotes the dissolution of AZ31 Mg alloy thereby forming a porous corrosion products layer on the surface of the alloy.As a result,both the continuous dissolution of AZ31 magnesium alloy and the hydrogen evolution rate(HER)are enhanced with increasing the immersion time in Hank’s solution.Durga Bhakta Pokharel Liping Wu Junhua Dong Amar Prasad Yadav Dhruba Babu Subedi Madhusudan Dhakal Lin Zha Xin Mu Aniefiok Joseph Umoh Wei Ke 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,22:4
8Characteristics of ultrafine particles emitted from a dimethyl ether (DME) engine显示文摘Measurements of exhaust particle number concentration and size distribution from a dimethyl ether (DME) engine at different engine loads and speeds were carried out by using a two-stage dilution sys- tem and an SMPS. The results of the DME engine were compared with those of the original diesel en- gine. The fuel composition had significant effects on the exhaust particle size distribution, the total exhaust particle number and mass concentrations. Compared with those of the DME engine, the parti- cle mass emissions of the diesel engine increased 5.7-17.7 times. At high engine speed (n=2200 r/min), compared with those of the DME engine, the total particle number emissions of the diesel engine in- creased 0.75-2.2 times, while the total particle number emissions of the diesel engine decreased by about 50%-80% for middle and high loads at middle engine speed (n=1400 r/min). Compared with those of the DME engine, the total exhaust particle number concentrations in the accumulation mode of the diesel engine increased 4.2-62.6 times and the exhaust particle geometric number mean diameters in the accumulation mode increased by about 10-30 nm. This correlated with higher oxygen level and lack of C-C bonds in DME. 9Electrochemical noise analysis on the pit corrosion susceptibility of biodegradable AZ31 magnesium alloy in four types of simulated body solutions显示文摘Magnesium alloys have been investigated as biodegradable implant materials since the last century. Nonuniform degradation caused by local corrosion limits their application, and no appropriate technology has been used in the research. In this study, electrochemical noise has been used to study the pit corrosion on magnesium alloy AZ31 in four types of simulated body solutions, and the data have been analyzed using wavelet analysis and stochastic theory. 10Second organic aerosol formation by irradiation of α-pinene-NO_x-H_2O in an indoor smog chamber for atmospheric chemistry and physics显示文摘Ozone(O3) and secondary organic aerosol(SOA) are considered to be the most serious secondary air pollutants of concern in most metropolitan areas,as well as for Beijing.In this study,O3 and SOA for-mation potential of α-pinene,the most abundant biogenic VOCs,is investigated at Tsinghua Indoor Chamber Facility.The experiments were conducted under atmospheric relevant HCs/NOx ratios in both presence and absence of ammonia sulfate seed aerosol.A Scanning Mobility Particle Sizer system(3936,TSI) and a Condensation Particle Counter(3010,TSI) were used to study the SOA formation and a gas chromatograph(GC) equipped with a DB-5 column and a flame ionization detector(FID) was used to measure α-pinene simultaneously.The results show that the presence of ammonia sulfate seed aerosol did not change the formation trend of O3,but significantly contribute to SOA formation.A strong linear relationship(r2 = 0.90) between SOA yield enhancement(△Y*) and surface concentration of seed aerosol(PMi,s)has been found,denoting that the PMi,s is the control factor for SOA yield en-hancement.And the possible reason for the enhancement is acid-catalyzed heterogeneous reactions.ZHAO Zhe HAO JiMing LI JunHua WU Shan 2008Chinese Science Bulletin2008,53,21:4
11Influence of transboundary air pollution on air quality in southwestern China显示文摘Air pollution is a grand challenge of our time due to its multitude of adverse impacts on environment and society,with the scale of impacts more severe in developing countries,including China.Thus,China has initiated and implemented strict air pollution control measures over last several years to reduce impacts of air pollution.Monitoring data from Jan 2015 to Dec 2019 on six criteria air pollutants(SO_(2),NO_(2),CO,O_(3),PM_(2.5),and PM_(10))at eight sites in southwestern China were investigated to understand the situation and analyze the impacts of transboundary air pollutants in this region.In terms of seasonal variation,the maximum concentrations of air pollutants at these sites were observed in winter or spring season depending on individual site.For diurnal variation,surface ozone peaked in the afternoon while the other pollutants had a bimodal pattern with peaks in the morning and late afternoon.There was limited transport of domestic emissions of air pollutants in China to these sites.Local emissions enhanced the concentrations of air pollutants during some pollution events.Mostly,the transboundary transport of air pollution from South Asia and Southeast Asia was associated with high concentrations of most air pollutants observed in southwestern China.Since air pollutants can be transported to southwestern China over long distances from the source regions,it is necessary to conduct more research to properly attribute and quantify transboundary transport of air pollutants,which will provide more solid scientific guidance for air pollution management in southwestern China.Xiufeng Yin Shichang Kang Maheswar Rupakheti Benjamin de Foy Ping Li Junhua Yang Kunpeng Wu Qianggong Zhang Dipesh Rupakheti 2021Geoscience Frontiers2021,12,6:4
12Effect of applied potential on the microstructure, composition and corrosion resistance evolution of fluoride conversion film on AZ31 magnesium alloy显示文摘AZ31 magnesium(Mg) alloy was potentiostatic polarized in 0.1 M deaerated KF solution with pH 7.5 from-0.4 V to-1.4 V with an interval of-0.2 V. The polarization process was described by the potentiostatic current decay. The resultant film was analyzed by scanning electron microscopy(SEM), X-ray diffraction(XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS). The results demonstrated that the deposited film included a Mg(OH)_2/MgF_2 containing inner layer and a Mg(OH)-2/MgF_2/KMgF_3 comprising outer layer. The high polarized potential produced high content of MgF_2 but low content of KMgF_3 and thin film. Conversely, the low polarized potential produced small content of MgF_2 but high content of KMgF_3 and thick film. 13Genesis of the Ciemas Gold Deposit and Relationship with Epithermal Deposits in West Java,Indonesia:Constraints from Fluid Inclusions and Stable Isotopes显示文摘The Ciemas gold deposit is located in West Java of Indonesia,which is a Cenozoic magmatism belt resulting from the Indo-Australian plate subducting under the Eurasian plate.Two different volcanic rock belts and associated epithermal deposits are distributed in West Java:the younger late Miocene-Pliocene magmatic belt generated the Pliocene-Pleistocene epithermal deposits,while the older late Eocene-early Miocene magmatic belt generated the Miocene epithermal deposits.To constrain the physico-chemical conditions and the origin of the ore fluid in Ciemas,a detailed study of ore petrography,fluid inclusions,laser Raman spectroscopy,oxygen-hydrogen isotopes for quartz was conducted.The results show that hydrothermal pyrite and quartz are widespread,hydrothermal alteration is well developed,and that leaching structures such as vuggy rocks and extension structures such as comb quartz are common.Fluid inclusions in quartz are mainly liquid-rich two phase inclusions,with fluid compositions in the NaCl-H20 fluid system,and contain no or little CO_2.Their homogenization temperatures cluster around 240℃-320℃,the salinities lie in the range of 14-17 wt.%NaCl equiv,and the calculated fluid densities are 0.65-1.00 g/cm^3.The values of δ^(18)O_(H2O-VSMOW)for quartz range from +5.5‰ to +7.7‰,the δD_(VSMOW) of fluid inclusions in quartz ranges from-70‰ to-115‰.All of these data indicate that mixing of magmatic fluid with meteoric water resulted in the formation of the Ciemas deposit.A comparison among gold deposits of West Java suggests that Miocene epithermal ore deposits in the southernmost part of West Java were more affected by magmatic fluids and exhibit a higher degree of sulfldation than those of Pliocene-Pleistocene.ZHENG Chaofei ZHANG Zhengwei WU Chengquan YAO Junhua 2017Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2017,91,3:2

15Second organic aerosol formation from the ozonolysis of α-pinene in the presence of dry submicron ammonium sulfate aerosol显示文摘An indoor chamber facility is described for investigation of atmospheric aerosol chemistry. Two sets of α-pinene ozonolysis experiments were conducted in the presence of dry ammonium sulfate seed particle: ozone limited experiments and α-pinene limited experiments. The concentration of gas phase and particle phase species was monitored continuously by on-line instruments and recorded automatically by data sampling system. The evolution of size distribution was measured by a scanning mobility particle sizer (SMPS), and α-pinene consumed was measured using GC-FID. Secondary organic aerosol (SOA) produced for seed-free system is 100% organic in content, resulting from a suffcient supersaturation of low volatility organics to produce homogeneous nucleation followed by condensation to the aerosol. Secondary organic aerosol produced in seeded system is a mixture of organic and inorganic constituents, initially forms via condensation onto the inorganic particles, and subsequent growth occurs via absorption into the organic surface coating the inorganic core. Although the formation process and the size distribution for seed-free system and seeded system is di?erent, the ultimate mass of SOA formed is equal, and SOA yield for the two system located in the same regression line when using one-product model, suggesting that the presence of dry ammonium sulfate seed has no measurable effect on the total aerosol yield, and the dry seed particle acts solely as a site upon which organic deposition occurs.Zhe ZHAO Shan WU 2008Journal of Environmental Sciences2008,20,10:2
16Design of Cylindrical Cam with Oscillating Follower Based on 3D Expansion of Planar Profile Model显示文摘Cylindrical cam with oscillating follower is widely applicable and used in many mechanical devices and machines.However,a common error exists in the methods of designing planar profile for oscillating follower cylinder cam.In this study,we propose a new hypothesis to solve this design problem with the inclusion of deviation angle.On the basis of this new concept,equations for planar profile expansion and methods of calculating pressure angle are deduced by applying 3D expansion formula of the follower's motion orbit.When the pressure angle is less than allowable value,the minimum base radius can be determined by using MATLAB software.Accordingly,the planar profile of oscillating follower cylinder cam is generated by CAD software.This new method is practical and can be easily adopted for the design of oscillating follower cylindrical cam with desirable accuracy.We applied the method in the design of cylindrical cam for paper feeding mechanism used in high-speed printers.We calculated the planar profile and used it to direct the NC machine for the manufacture of the groove of cylindrical cam.The improved cylindrical cam met all of the requirements of speed and accuracy demanded by high-speed printers.Therefore,our new method has been validated by practical application.CHEN Junhua LIN Zuan WU Yijie 2009Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2009,22,5:2
17Second phase effect on corrosion of nanostructured Mg-Zn-Ca dual-phase metallic glasses显示文摘Dual-phase metallic glasses(DP-MGs),a special member of the MGs family,often reveal unusual strength and ductility,yet,their corrosion behaviors are not understood.Here,we developed a nanostructured Mg_(57)Zn_(36)Ca_(7)(at.%)DP-MG and uncovered its corrosion mechanism in simulated body fluid(SBF)at the near-atomic scale utilizing transmission electron microscope(TEM)and atom probe tomography(APT).The 10-nm-wide Ca-rich amorphous phases allow oxygen propagation into the DP-MG,resulting in a micrometer thick hydroxides/oxides layer.This dense corrosion layer protects the DP-MG from further corrosion,enabling a corrosion rate that is 77%lower than that of Mg(99.99%purity).Chang Liu Qing Wang Bin Han Junhua Luan Ji-Jung Kai Chain-Tsuan Liu Ge Wu Jian Lu 2021Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2021,9,5:1
