1Applications of graphene-based materials in environmental protection and detection显示文摘Many efficient adsorbents and sensors based on graphene and functionalized graphene have been constructed for the removal and detection of environmental pollutants due to its unique physicochemical properties. In this article, recent research achievements are reviewed on the application of graphene-based materials in the environmental protection and detection. For environmental protection, modified graphene can adsorb heavy metal ions in a high efficiency and selectivity, and thus reduces them to metals for recycling. High adsorption capacity of graphene-based materials to kinds of organic pollutants in water was also presented. Several graphene-based sensors with high limit of detection were reported to detect heavy metal ions, toxic gases and organic pollutants in environment. 2Qibai Pingfei capsule medicated serum inhibits the proliferation of hypoxia-induced pulmonary arterial smooth muscle cells via the Ca^(2+)/calcineurin/nuclear factor of activated T-cells 3 pathway显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To observe the effect of Qibai Pingfei capsule(QBPF) medicated serum on the proliferation of rat pulmonary arterial smooth muscle cells(PASMCs) under hypoxia conditions and to investigate its key molecular effects on the Ca^(2+)/calcineurin/nuclear factor of activated T-cells 3(NFATc3) signaling pathway.METHODS: QBPF was provided to rats via continuous gavage for 10 days. Primary rat PASMCs were cultured using the direct adherent culture method.Methyl thiazolyl tetrazolium assay was used to eval-uate the effect of QBPF on PASMCs proliferation under hypoxia conditions. Laser scanning confocal microscopy was used to detect changes in intracellular free calcium([Ca^(2+)]_i) in PASMC-loaded Fluo-3-AM.Real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction and western blot were used to detect the transcription and protein expression levels of calcineurin and NFATc3 genes in PASMCs.RESULTS: Compared with normoxia conditions,PASMCs proliferated at 12, 24, 48, and 72 h under hypoxia conditions. QBPF at concentrations of 5%,10%, and 20% could inhibit hypoxia-induced PASMC proliferation to different degrees. The inhibitory effect was most significant in the 20% QBPF group under 24 h hypoxia conditions. The concentration of [Ca^(2+)]_iin PASMCs under hypoxia was increased and [Ca^(2+)]_iwas significantly decreased when co-incubated with QBPF at 5%, 10%, and 20%. Compared with normoxia conditions, the m RNA and protein expression levels of calcineurin and NFATc3 in PASMCs induced by hypoxia were up-regulated.QBPF application significantly down-regulated m RNA and protein expression levels of calcineurin and NFATc3 in PASMCs.CONCLUSION: QBPF can effectively inhibit hypoxia-induced proliferation of PASMCs through down-regulation of key molecular expression via the Ca^(2+)/calcineurin/NFATc3 pathway.Zhu Jie Wang Baoqin Liu Changan Tong Xiangli Li Zegeng 2017Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2017,37,4:2
3Structural whiteness of the multi-component glaze dependence on amorphous photonic crystals显示文摘A kind of enhancing mechanism of structural whiteness dependence on amorphous photonic crystal (APC) structure is introduced in this paper. In the glaze system composed of albite, kaolin, talc, calcite, quartz, titanium dioxide and zinc oxide, the APC structure will be produced by using quartz as a variable to induce the phase separation. Under different polarities between Ti, Zn etc. and Siion, the separated spheres with the core-shell structure can be obtained and then make up opal-like APCs in the glaze layer. In addition to inner and outer layers of core-shell spheres, the calculated results of refractive indices clearly show the great difference between the particles and the matrix. As a result of different refractive indices, the multiple scatting of visible light plays a key rote in the structural whiteness. However, due to the decrease of the cationic content, APCs with the reverse opal structure would be formed in the interface between glaze and body.
