1Investigation of Myocardial Stunning after Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation in Pigs显示文摘Objective To investigate cardiac function and myocardial perfusion during 48 h after cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), further to test myocardial stunning and seek indicators for long‐term survival after CPR. Methods After 4 min of untreated ventricular fibrillation, fifteen anesthetized pigs were studied at baseline and 2 h, 4 h, 24 h, and 48 h after restoration of spontaneous circulation (ROSC). Hemodynamic data, echocardiography and gated‐single photon emission computed tomography myocardial perfusion images were carried out. Results Mean arterial pressure (MAP), coronary perfusion pressure (CPP) and cardiac troponin I (CTNI) showed significant differences between eventual survival animals and non‐survival animals at 4 h after ROSC (109.2±10.7 mmHg vs. 94.8±12.3 mmHg, P=0.048; 100.8±6.9 mmHg vs. 84.4±12.6 mmHg, P=0.011; 1.60±0.13 ug/L vs. 1.75±0.10 ug/L, P=0.046). Mitral valve early‐to‐late diastolic peak velocity ratio, mitral valve deceleration time recovered 24 h; ejection faction and the summed rest score recovered 48 h after ROSC. Conclusion Cardiac systolic and early active relaxation dysfunctions were reversible within survival animals; cardiac stunning might be potentially adaptive and protective after CPR. 2Effect of rolling strain on microstructure and tensile properties of dual-phase Mg-8Li-3Al-2Zn-0.5Y alloy显示文摘This study was conducted to discuss the effect of rolling strain on microstructure and tensile properties of dual-phase Mg-8Li-3Al-2Zn-0.5 Y(wt%) alloy, which was prepared by casting, and then homogenized and rolled at 200℃. The rolling process was conducted with 10% reduction per pass and five different accumulated strains, varying from 10% to 70%. The results indicate that the as-cast and as-rolled Mg-8Li-3Al-2Zn-0.5Y alloys are composed of α-Mg, β-Li, AlLi and Al_2Y phases. After rolling process,anisotropic microstructure was observed. a-Mg phase got elongated in both rolling direction and transverse direction with the addition of rolling strain. Consequently, the strength of the alloy in both directions was notably improved whereas the elongation declined, mainly caused by strain hardening and dispersion strengthening. The tensile properties of the as-rolled alloys in the RD, no matter the YS, UTS or the elongation, are higher than those of the TD due to their larger deformation strain and significant anisotropy in the hcp α-Mg phase. 3Estimation of soil organic carbon storage and its fractions in a small karst watershed显示文摘With few available soil organic carbon(SOC)profiles and the heterogeneity of those that do exist, the estimation of SOC pools in karst areas is highly uncertain.Based on the spatial heterogeneity of SOC content of 23,536 samples in a karst watershed, a modified estimation method was determined for SOC storage that exclusively applies to karst areas. The method is a 'soil-type method' based on revised calculation indexes for SOC storage. In the present study, the organic carbon contents of different soil types varied greatly, but generally decreased with increasing soil depth. The organic carbon content decreased nearly linearly to a depth of 0–50 cm and then varied at depths of 50–100 cm. Because of the large spatial variability in the karst area, we were able to determine that influences of the different indexes on the estimation of SOC storage decreased as follows: soil thickness > boulder content > rock fragment content > SOC content > bulk density. Using the modified formula, the SOC content in the Houzhai watershed in Puding was estimated to range from 3.53 to 5.44 kg m^(-2), with an average value of 1.24 kg m^(-2) to a depth of 20 cm, and from 4.44 to 14.50 kg m^(-2), with an average value of 12.12 kg m^(-2) to a depth of 100 cm. 4Adjunctive sepsis therapy with aminophylline(STAP):a randomized controlled trial显示文摘Background:Sepsis is a serious disease caused by infection.Aminophylline has anti-asthma and anti-inflammatory effects.We aimed to explore the safety and effect of aminophylline in sepsis.Methods:We conducted a clinical randomized controlled trial involving 100 patients diagnosed with sepsis within 48 h after intensive care unit(ICU)admission in two sites.All patients were randomized in a 1:1 ratio to receive standard therapy with or without aminophylline.The primary clinical outcome was all-cause mortality at 28 days.Results:From September 27,2018 to February 12,2020,we screened 277 septic patients and eventually enrolled 100 patients,with 50 assigned to the aminophylline group and 50 to the usual-care group.At 28 days,7 of 50 patients(14.0%)in the aminophylline group had died,compared with 16 of 50(32.0%)in the usual-care group(P=0.032).Cox regression showed that the aminophylline group had a lower hazard of death(hazard ratio=0.312,95%confidence interval:0.129–0.753).Compared with the usual-care group,patients in the aminophylline group had a longer survival time(P=0.039 by the log-rank test).The effects of aminophylline on vasopressor dose,oxygenation index,and sequential organ failure assessment score were timedependent with treatment.There were no significant differences in total hospitalization days,ICU hospitalization days,and rates of serious adverse events(all P>0.05).No adverse events were observed in the trial.Conclusions:Aminophylline as an adjunct therapy could significantly reduce the risk of death and prolong the survival time of patients with sepsis.Trial registration:ChiCTR.org.cn,ChiCTR1800019173.Ruifang Zhang Huan Liu Dongmei Dai Xianfei Ding Dong Wang Yan Wang Xuexiu Shi Shuguang Zhang Xiaoguang Duan Haixu Wang Yonggang Luo Shaohua Liu Bing Han Xiaojuan Zhang Yu Fang Jing Yang Wangbin Xu Tongwen Sun 2022Chinese Medical Journal2022,135,23:2

9Effects of glutamine pretreatment on learning and memory in heat-exposed rats显示文摘BACKGROUND: Glutamine (Gln) pretreatment can protect neural cells from injuries due to heat, ischemia, hypoxia, endotoxemia, and inflammatory factors. OBJECTIVE: To observe the effects of Gln pretreatment on learning and memory, survival time, and rectal temperature in heat-exposed rats. DESIGN, TIME AND SETTING: The present randomized grouping, neurobehavioral experiment was performed at the Laboratory of Department of Pharmacology, Basic School of Medicine, Wuhan University between March and September 2007. MATERIALS: Twenty-four healthy, Wistar rats were included in this study. SPX-160B biochemistry incubator (Shanghai Experimental Equipment Co., Ltd., China), probe electronic thermometer (11000 type, Maikepai Science and Technology Co., Ltd., China), Y-type maze box used in conjunction with MG-2 maze stimulator (Zhangjiagang Biomedical Instrument Factory, China), L-Gln (Batch No. 061218, 5 g/bottle, prepared into 10% aqueous solution, Amresco Company, USA) were used. METHODS: Twenty-four rats were randomly and evenly divided into 3 groups: heat-exposed, Gln low-lose, and Gln high-dose. Following learning and memory testing with the Y-maze, rats in the heat-exposed group were subjected to heat injury (40.5-41.5 ℃) in a biochemistry incubator. Rectal temperature was measured every 5 minutes. Thirty-five minutes after heat exposure, rats were removed and placed in the Y-type maze to test learning and memory again. Subsequently, the rats were returned to the same environment of thermal stimulation until they died. Rat survival time was recorded. Subsequent to learning and memory testing, rats in the Gln low-dose and high-dose groups received an i.p. injection of Gln (0.4 g/kg and 0.8 g/kg, respectively), and were exposed to heat injury. The remaining experimental procedures remained the same as for the heat-exposed group. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Rat learning and memory, rectal temperature, and survival time in heat exposure environment. RESULTS: (1) In the Y-maze experiment, the frequency for the heat-exposed group rats to move 15 successive times through the maze without any mistakes was 13 times greater prior to heat exposure. Thirty-five minutes after heat exposure, rat learning and memory were significantly decreased, i.e., frequency was 9/15 correct trials (P < 0.01). Following Gln pretreatment, rat learning and memory noticeably improved. The frequency of Gln low-dose and high-dose rats maintained 13/15 correct trials, which was not different compared with before heat exposure (P > 0.05). (2) The heat-exposed group required 14 minutes to reach the rectal temperature of 39.5 ℃. After 2 hours of Gln pretreatment, the Gln low-dose and high-dose groups needed 18 and 20 minutes, respectively (P < 0.05). (3) Following 2 hours of Gln pretreatment, the survival time of the Gln low-dose and high-dose groups was 66 and 69 minutes, which was prolonged by 18.2% (P < 0.05) and 21.7% (P < 0.01), respectively, compared with the heat-exposed group (54 minutes). 10Design and test of the arc-shaped nail-tooth roller residual film recovery machine from the sowing layer显示文摘Residual films on the sowing layer produced after mulching in Xinjiang farmland,harm the sowing quality and root growth of crops.In this study,a sowing layer residual film recovery machine based on a radial plate arc-shaped nail-tooth roller structure was designed.Meanwhile,the key device structures were designed and the main working parameters were analyzed.Then,taking the working depth,the forward speed of the machine and the rotation speed of the nail tooth roller as the test factors,and the film collection rate and film intertwining rate as the test indicators,the single factor tests and the Box-Behnken response surface tests were carried out to evaluate the performance of the sowing layer residual film recovery machine.Consequently,the results showed that the order of significant factors was the working depth,the forward speed of the machine,and the rotation speed of the nail tooth roller.Besides,the optimal working parameters were determined,which the working depth,the forward speed of the machine,and the rotation speed of the nail tooth roller were 100 mm,4.8 km/h,and 49.3 r/min,respectively.Moreover,the predicted value of the film collection rate was 69.20%.Finally,the verification test was taken with the optimal working parameter,and the results showed that the film collection rate was 66.84%,and the film intertwining rate was 1.39%.The relative error between the test value and the predicted value of the film collection rate was 3.40%.It indicated that the machine can perform the collection of sowing layer residual films.This study can provide a theoretical basis and reference for the design of new sowing layer residual film machines.Zhiyuan Zhang Xuegeng Chen Xianfei Wang Shuaikang Xue Jingbin Li 2024International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2024,17,1:0
11Characterization of the Protective Surface Films Formed on Molten AZ91D Magnesium Alloy in SO_2/Air Atmospheres in a Sealed Furnace显示文摘Surface films that formed on molten AZ91D magnesium alloy in SO_2/air cover gases at 680 ℃ in a sealed furnace were characterized by scanning electron microscopy,energy dispersive spectroscopy,X-ray diffraction and Auger electron spectroscopy.It is revealed that the film formed on molten AZ91 D alloy surface in cover gas with high air content can prevent the molten AZ91 D alloy from oxidation and ignition.The surface film contained three elements,namely magnesium,oxygen and sulfur,and was mainly composed of MgO and MgS.The properties of the film depended on air content in the cover gas and holding time.Thermodynamic calculation showed that MgSO_4 was the stable phase,and it was concluded that the formation of MgSO_4was important for the formation of the protective surface film in SO_2/air atmospheres.Xianfei Wang Shoumei Xiong 2014Journal of Materials Science & Technology2014,30,4:0
12Optimization of integrated geological-engineering design of volume fracturing with fan-shaped well pattern显示文摘According to the variable toe-to-heel well spacing, combined with the dislocation theory, discrete lattice method, and finite-element-method(FEM) based fluid-solid coupling, an integrated geological-engineering method of volume fracturing for fan-shaped well pattern is proposed considering the geomechanical modeling, induced stress calculation, hydraulic fracturing simulation, and post-frac productivity evaluation. Besides, we propose the differential fracturing design for the conventional productivity-area and the potential production area for fan-shaped horizontal wells. After the fracturing of the conventional production area for H1 fan-shaped well platform, the research shows that the maximum reduction of the horizontal principal stress difference in the potential productivity-area is 0.2 MPa, which cannot cause the stress reversal, but this reduction is still conducive to the lateral propagation of hydraulic fractures. According to the optimized fracturing design, in zone-Ⅰ of the potential production area, only Well 2 is fractured, with a cluster spacing of 30 m and an injection rate of 12 m^(3)/min per stage;in zone-Ⅱ, Well 2 is fractured before Well 3, with a cluster spacing of 30 m and an injection rate of 12 m^(3)/min per stage. The swept area of the pore pressure drop in the potential production area is small, showing that the reservoir is not well developed.
