| 1 | Accelerated Ageing Tests for Evaluations of a Durability Performance of Glass-fiber Reinforcement Polyester Composites显示文摘The paper presented accelerated ageing test results of a durability study on ortho-phthalic anhydride-type unsaturated polyester resin(191#) and its glass-fiber reinforcement polyester composites(GFRPC).The samples were exposed in an artificial xenon arc lamp ageing cell or a thermo-oxidative ageing cell.Morphology and gloss of the specimens were investigated by using a microscope and a gloss-meter,respectively.The tensile strength,bending strength and inter-laminar shear strength(ILSS) of GFRPC were tested before and after exposure,and were considered to evaluate the durability performance of this material.The polyester resin was analyzed by fourier transform infrared(FT-IR) spectroscopy.The results showed that the glossiness of the specimens got worse and some cracks appeared on their surface during the course of ageing,the tensile strength and bending strengths of the specimens first increased and then decreased.The ILSS of the composites decreased after they were aged in the xenon arc lamp cell,but increased while they were aged in the thermo-oxidative cell.The changes of these trends become more obvious during ageing in the xenon arc lamp cell,so the main influencing factor leading to the failure of this material is UV irradiation. | Yunying Wang Jiangyan Meng Qing Zhao Shuhua Qi | 2010 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2010,26,6: | 6 |

| 3 | Effects of injection of anti-corticotropin release hormone serum in the lateral ventricles and electroacupuncture analgesia on pain threshold in rats with adjuvant arthritis显示文摘Rat models of adjuvant arthritis were established, and anti-corticotropin release hormone serum injection in the lateral ventricles and electroacupuncture at right Jiaji (EX-B2) were performed. The pain threshold was decreased at 45 and 60 minutes after injection of the anti-corticotropin release hormone serum. Electroacupuncture at Jiaji can resist this effect. Immunohistochemical staining results showed that the expression of corticotropin release hormone in the hypothalamic paraven-tricular nucleus was greater in the electroacupuncture + anti-corticotropin release hormone serum group compared with the anti-corticotropin release hormone serum group. The expression of corticotropin release hormone was correlated with the pain threshold. The effect of endogenous corticotropin release hormone in pain modulation can be obstructed by anti-corticotropin release hormone serum. The analgesia of electroacupuncture can partially resist the depressed pain threshold caused by injection of anti-corticotropin release hormone serum. | 6 | Molecular genetic analysis of phosphomannomutase genes in Triticum monococcum显示文摘In higher plants, phosphomannomutase(PMM) is essential for synthesizing the antioxidant ascorbic acid through the Smirnoff–Wheeler pathway. Previously, we characterized six PMM genes(Ta PMM-A1, A2, B1, B2, D1 and D2) in common wheat(Triticum aestivum, AABBDD).Here, we report a molecular genetic analysis of PMM genes in Triticum monococcum(AmAm), a diploid wheat species whose Amgenome is closely related to the A genome of common wheat. Two distinct PMM genes, Tm PMM-1 and Tm PMM-2, were found in T. monococcum. The coding region of Tm PMM-1 was intact and highly conserved. In contrast, two main Tm PMM-2 alleles were identified, with Tm PMM-2a possessing an intact coding sequence and Tm PMM-2b being a pseudogene. The transcript level of Tm PMM-2a was much higher than that of Tm PMM-2b, and a bacterially expressed Tm PMM-2a recombinant protein displayed relatively high PMM activity. In general, the total transcript level of PMM was substantially higher in accessions carrying Tm PMM-1 and Tm PMM-2a than those harboring Tm PMM-1 and Tm PMM-2b. However, total PMM protein and activity levels did not differ drastically between the two genotypes. | 7 | Impact of Polymyxin Resistance on Virulence and Fitness among Clinically Important Gram-Negative Bacteria显示文摘Humanity is facing an enormous and growing worldwide threat from the emergence of multi-drug-resistant(MDR)Gram-negative bacteria such as Escherichia coli,Klebsiella pneumoniae,and Acinetobacter baumannii.Polymyxin B and E(colistin)constitute the last-line therapies for treating MDR Gram-negative bacteria.Polymyxin is a cationic antibacterial peptide that can destroy the outer membrane of Gram-negative bacteria.With the increasing clinical application of polymyxin,however,there have been many reports of the occurrence of polymyxin-resistant Gram-negative bacteria.This resistance is mainly mediated by the modification or complete loss of lipopolysaccharide(LPS).LPS is also a virulence factor of Gram-negative bacteria,and alterations of LPS may correlate with virulence.Although it is generally believed that the biological costs associated with drug resistance may enable benign susceptible bacteria to overcome resistant bacteria when antibiotic pressure is reduced,some studies have shown that polymyxin-resistant bacteria are associated with higher virulence and greater fitness compared with their susceptible counterparts.To predict the development of polymyxin resis-tance and evaluate interventions for its mitigation,it is important to understand the relative biological cost of polymyxin resistance compared with susceptibility.The impact of polymyxin resistance mecha-nisms on the virulence and fitness of these three Gram-negative bacteria are summarized in this review. | Yuan Wang Qixia Luo Tingting Xiao Yunying Zhu Yonghong Xiao | 2022 | Engineering2022,8,6: | 1 |
| 8 | Study on catalytic mechanisms of Fe_(3)O_(4)-rGO_(x) in three typical advanced oxidation processes for tetracycline hydrochloride degradation显示文摘This study explored the catalytic mechanism and performance impacted by the materials ratio of Fe_(3)O_(4)-GO_(x) composites in three typical advanced oxidation processes(AOPs)of O_(3),peroxodisulfate(PDS)and photo-Fenton processes for tetracycline hydrochloride(TCH)degradation.The ratio of GO in the Fe_(3)O_(4)-GO_(x) composites exhibited different trends of degradation capacity in each AOPs based on different mechanisms.Fe_(3)O_(4)-rGO_(20wt%) exhibited the optimum catalytic performance which enhanced the ozone decomposition efficiency from 33.48%(ozone alone)to 51.83%with the major reactive oxygen species(ROS)of O_(2)·-.In PDS and photo-Fenton processes,Fe_(3)O_(4)-rGO_(5wt%) had the highest catalytic performance in PDS and H_(2)O_(2) decomposition for SO_(4)·–,and·OH generation,respectively.Compared with using PDS alone,PDS decomposition rate and TCH degradation rate could be increased by 5.97 and 1.73 times under Fe_(3)O_(4)-rGO_(5wt%) catalysis.In the photo-Fenton system,Fe_(3)O_(4)-rGO_(5wt%) with the best catalyst performance in H_(2)O_(2) decomposition,and TCH degradation rate increased by 2.02 times compared with blank group.Meantime,the catalytic mechanisms in those systems of that the ROS produced by conversion between Fe^(2+)/Fe^(3+)were also analyzed. | Heshan Zheng Yunying Hou Shuo Li Jun Ma Jun Nan Nannan Wang | 2023 | Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,1: | 1 |
| 9 | Low-loading gold in situ doped with sulfur by biomolecule-assisted approach for promoted electrochemical carbon dioxide reduction显示文摘For electrochemical carbon dioxide reduction(CO_(2)RR),CO_(2)-to-CO conversion is considered an ideal route towards carbon neutrality for practical applications.Gold(Au)is known as a promising catalyst with high selectivity for CO;however,it suffers from high cost and low mass-specific activity.In this study,we design and prepare a catalyst featuring uniform S-doped Au nanoparticles on N-doped carbon support(denoted as S-Au/NC)by an in situ synthesis strategy using biomolecules.The S-Au/NC displays high activity and selectivity for CO in CO_(2)RR with a Au loading as low as 0.4 wt.%.The Faradaic efficiency of CO(FECO)for S-Au/NC is above 95%at−0.75 V(vs.RHE);by contrast,the FECO of Au/NC(without S)is only 58%.The Tafel slope is 77.4 mV·dec−1,revealing a favorable kinetics process.Furthermore,S-Au/NC exhibits an excellent long-term stability for CO_(2)RR.Density functional theory(DFT)calculations reveal that the S dopant can boost the activity by reducing the free energy change of the potential-limiting step(formation of the*COOH intermediate).This work not only demonstrates a model catalyst featuring significantly reduced use of noble metals,but also establishes an in situ synthesis strategy for preparing high-performance catalysts. | Meijie Tan Xiaoqian Han Sen Ru Chao Zhang Zhouru Ji Zhaolin Shi Guomeng Qiao Yunying Wang Ruixue Cui Qiquan Luo Jiqing Jiao Yaguang Li Tongbu Lu | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,2: | 1 |

| 13 | De novo assembly of the seed transcriptome and search for potential EST-SSR markers for an endangered, economically important tree species: Elaeagnus mollis Diels显示文摘Seeds of Elaeagnus mollis(Elaeagnaceae) produce an edible oil and contain more vitamin E(Ve) than major oil-seed crops. Despite its economic value, there is no information on its genome sequence. Here, we used the Illumina platform to determine the seed transcriptome of E.mollis to identify the genes related to Ve biosynthesis and potential simple sequence repeat(SSR) markers. In total, 100,999 unigenes were obtained with an average length of 605 bp and N50 of 985 bp. Of these unigenes,52,256(51.7%) were annotated in at least one public database(NT, NR, PFAM, Swiss Prot, KOG, KO, and GO)in searches using blastn/x. The unigene annotation identified 15 unigenes encoding six enzymes(GGR, HPPD,HPT/VTE2, MPBQ-MT/VTE3, TC/VTE1, and c-TMT/VTE4) putatively involved in Ve biosynthesis. In addition,16,810 SSRs distributed in 14,057 unigenes were mined.Of these, 2820, 583, and 3423 SSRs were located in the 50–UTR, coding sequence(CDS), and 30–UTR regions,respectively, while the remaining 9984 SSRs had undetermined physical locations. The largest group of repeat motifs comprised mononucleotide repeats(70.76%), followed by dinucleotide(15.59%) and trinucleotide(12.10%)repeats. AG/CT(8.69%) and AAG/CTT(4.15%) were the main dinucleotide and trinucleotide repeats, respectively.Furthermore, 9597 SSR-specific primer pairs were designed. Among 100 primer pairs selected randomly to determine their usefulness, 53 proved to be efficient. To the our best of knowledge, this work is the first study of the E. mollis transcriptome and constitutes valuable genomics data for future genetic engineering studies to alter the amount of Ve. | 15 | Magmatic-tectonic response of the South China Craton to the Paleo-Pacific subduction during the Triassic:a new viewpoint based on Well NK-1显示文摘The Nansha Block(NB)is one of the blocks separated from the southern margin of the South China Craton(SCC)by the western Pacific subduction,which contains rich information of geodynamic and tectonic transformation.To reveal the essence of western Paleo-Pacific subduction during the Triassic period,Well NK-1 in this block was selected for petrographic study,and published research data from other cooperative teams were compared.A double-cycle pattern of basic to neutral magmatic volcanism was established,and 36 lithological rhythmic layers and representative cryptoexplosive breccia facies and welded tuff bands were identified.Combined with a reanalysis of published geochronological data,geochemical elements,and isotope geochemistry,we found that the rock assemblages could be divided into an intermediate-acid dacite(DA)series(SiO_(2)>65%)and basaltic(BA)series(Co<40μg/g),which was formed during the early Late Triassic((218.6±3.2)–(217.9±3.5)Ma).BA exhibits obvious calc-alkaline island-arc magmatic properties:(^(87)Sr/^(86)Sr)_i ratio ranging 0.70377–0.71118(average:0.70645),^(147)Sm/^(144)Nd ratio ranging 0.119–0.193(average:0.168),and chondrite-normalized rare earth element(REE)curves being flat,while DA exhibits remarkable characteristics of subducted island-arc andesitic magma:(^(87)Sr/^(86)Sr)_i ratio(0.70939–0.71129;average:0.71035),εNd(t)value(-6.2–-4.8;average:-5.6)andε_(Hf)(t)value(-2.9–-1.7,average:-2.2)show obvious crust-mantle mixing characteristics.BA and DA reveal typical characteristics of island-arc magma systems and typeⅡenriched mantle(EM-Ⅱ)magma.BA magma was likely resulted from the process whereby the continental crust frontal accretionary wedge was driven by the Paleo-Pacific slab subduction into the deep and began to melt,resulting in a large amount of melt(fluid)joined the asthenosphere on the side of the continental margin.In contrast,DA magma was likely resulted from the process whereby the plate front was forced to bend with increasing subduction distance,which triggered the upwelling of the asthenosphere near the continent and subsequently led to the partial melting of the lithospheric mantle and lower crust due to continuous underplating.The lithospheric thinning environment in the study area at the end of Triassic created suitable conditions for the separation between the NB and SCC,which provided an opportunity for the formation of the early intracontinental rift during the later expansion of the South China Sea(SCS). | Chan WANG Hao LIU Gang LI Zhen SUN Tingting GONG Li MIAO Xiaowei ZHU Yunying ZHANG Weihai XU Wen YAN | 2024 | Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2024,42,1: | 0 |
