1A Review of Mineral Resources and GIS Applications in Mineral Resource Assessment in Northeast China显示文摘Northeast China is one of the regions in China that possesses a great abundance of mineral resources. Coal. petroleum, natural gas, gold, iron, magnesite, graphite, talc, molding sand, glass sand and some others account for large portion in reserves and yields of that in the whole country. The region faced also shortages of copper, molybdenum, oil shale, zirconium, tantalum, rare earth, and beryllium, although they have large reserves, but limited by economical and technical factors. Geological mapping and mineral exploration activities have been intensive. Only the north part of Daxinanling Mountains in the region leaves unexplored. GIS applications in mineral resource assessment in the region start not long. Databases for GIS applications are on the way of construction. Well - trained technical staff and expertise do not meet the demand. This article reviews the situation of mineral resources and GIS applications for mineral resource assessment in the region. 14Residue substitution enhances the immunogenicity of neoepitopes from gastric cancers显示文摘Objective:Neoantigens arising from gene mutations in tumors can induce specific immune responses,and neoantigen-based immunotherapies have been tested in clinical trials.Here,we characterized the efficacy of altered neoepitopes in improving immunogenicity against gastric cancer.Methods:Raw data of whole-exome sequencing derived from a patient with gastric cancer were analyzed using bioinformatics methods to identify neoepitopes.Neoepitopes were modified by P1Y(the first amino acid was replaced by tyrosine)and P2L(the second amino acid was replaced by leucine).T2 binding and stability assays were used to detect the affinities between the neoepitopes and the HLA molecules,as well as the stabilities of complexes.Dendritic cells(DCs)presented with neoepitopes stimulated naïve CD8+T cells to induce specific cytotoxic T lymphocytes.ELISA and carboxyfluorescein succinimidyl ester were used to detect IFN-γand TNF-αlevels,and T cell proliferation.Perforin was detected by flow cytometry.The cytotoxicity of T cells was determined using the lactate dehydrogenase assay.Results:Bioinformatics analysis,T2 binding,and stability assays indicated that residue substitution increased the affinity between neoepitopes and HLA molecules,as well as the stabilities of complexes.DCs presented with altered neoepitopes stimulated CD8+T cells to release more IFN-γand had a greater effect on promoting proliferation than wild-type neoepitopes.CD8+T cells stimulated with altered neoepitopes killed more wild-type neoepitope-pulsed T2 cells than those stimulated with wild-type neoepitopes,by secreting more IFN-γ,TNF-α,and perforin.Conclusions:Altered neoepitopes exhibited greater immunogenicity than wild-type neoepitopes.Residue substitution could be used as a new strategy for immunotherapy to target neoantigens.Huahui Yu Jieyu Li Yuan Yuan Yu Chen Jingwen Hong Chunmei Ye Wansong Lin Huijing Chen Zengqing Guo Bo Li Yunbin Ye 2021Cancer Biology & Medicine2021,18,4:0

17Evaluation of activated sludge properties’changes in industrial-wastewater pre-treatment:role of residual aluminum hydrolyzed species with different polymerization degree显示文摘With the widespread introduction of pre-coagulation prior to the biological unit in various industrial wastewater treatments,it is noteworthy that long-term accumulation of residual coagulants has certains effect on both micro and macro characteristics of activated sludge(AS).In this study,the morphology distributions of residual aluminum salts(RAS)and their effects on the removal efficiency of AS were investigated under different PAC concentrations.The results showed that the dominance of medium polymeric RAS,formed under an appropriate PAC dose of 20 mg/L enhanced the hydrophobicity,flocculation,and sedimentation performances of AS,as well as the enzymatic activity in cells in the sludge system,improving the main pollutants removal efficiency of the treatment system.Comparatively the species composition with monomer and dimer/high polymer RAS as the overwhelming parts under an over-dosed PAC concentration of 55 mg/L resulted in excessive secretion of EPS with loose flocs structure and conspicuous inhibition of cellular activity,leading to the deterioration of physico-chemical and biological properties of AS.Based on these findings,this study can shed light on the role of the RAS hydrolyzed species distributions,closely relevant to Al dosage,in affecting the comprehensive properties of AS and provide a theoretical reference for coagulants dosage precise control in the pretreatment of industrial wastewater.Ziqi Zhao Meng Li Wansong Huang Nuowei Guo Qian Zhang 2023Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2023,17,6:0
18Artificial Macrophage with Hierarchical Nanostructure for Biomimetic Reconstruction of Antitumor Immunity显示文摘Artificial cells are constructed from synthetic materials to imitate the biological functions of natural cells.By virtue of nanoengineering techniques,artificial cells with designed biomimetic functions provide alternatives to natural cells,showing vast potential for biomedical applications.Especially in cancer treatment,the deficiency of immunoactive macrophages results in tumor progression and immune resistance.To overcome the limitation,a BaSO_(4)@ZIF-8/transferrin(TRF)nanomacrophage(NMΦ)is herein constructed as an alternative to immunoactive macrophages.Alike to natural immunoactive macrophages,NMΦis stably retained in tumors through the specific affinity of TRF to tumor cells.Zn^(2+)as an“artificial cytokine”is then released from the ZIF-8 layer of NMΦunder tumor microenvironment.Similar as proinflammatory cytokines,Zn^(2+)can trigger cell anoikis to expose tumor antigens,which are selectively captured by the BaSO_(4)cavities.Therefore,the hierarchical nanostructure of NMΦs allows them to mediate immunogenic death of tumor cells and subsequent antigen capture for T cell activation to fabricate long-term antitumor immunity.As a proof-of-concept,the NMΦmimics the biological functions of macrophage,including tumor residence,cytokine release,antigen capture and immune activation,which is hopeful to provide a paradigm for the design and biomedical applications of artificial cells.Henan Zhao Renyu Liu Liqiang Wang Feiying Tang Wansong Chen You‑Nian Liu 2023Nano-Micro Letters2023,15,12:0
19Tuning the crystallinity of MnO_(2) oxidant to achieve highly efficient pollutant degradation显示文摘Manganese dioxide(MnO_(2)), a commonly find oxidant in both natural environment and industrial application, plays a crucial role for various organic compound degradation. Tuning the MnO_(2) crystal structure is a cost-effective strategy to boost the oxidation reactions, where the challenge remains due to lacking indepth investigation of the crystal properties. Herein, MnO_(2) with different crystalline structures(x-MnO_(2))including α-, β-and δ-was prepared through the hydrothermal synthesis for a typical organic pollutant removal. The structural and degradation analysis indicated that the oxidation capacity was originated from Mn^(3+) and oxygen vacancies(OVs). The intrinsic relationships between oxidation performance and other physiochemical properties such as morphology and electrochemistry were thoroughly discussed,and positive correlations between oxidation capacity and electrochemical properties were found which eventually led to excellent oxidation performance via modulating the above-mentioned properties. 20Nanotandem-rocket releases messenger to disrupt metabolic communication for antitumor immunotherapy显示文摘Metabolic communication between intracellular metabolism and extracellular microenvironment is responsible for celluar metabolism balance and cell survival.Tumor cells adaptively regulate metabolic communication to promote hyperproliferation and immunosuppression.Herein,nanotandem-rockets(hyaluronic acid modified Mg_(5)(CO_(3))_(4)(OH)_(2)(H-MCH))are developed for stepwisely disrupting metabolic communication to activate antitumor immunity.Benefiting from the nanotandem-rocket structure,H-MCH nanoplates successively disrupt the extracellular metabolite transport and intracellular carbohydrate metabolism.Theoretical simulation together with metabolomic analysis discloses the underlying mechanism of H-MCH nanotandem-rockets.The extra-/intra-celluar interruption of metabolic communication provides H-MCH nanotandem-rockets with high efficiency in tumor eradication.Moreover,the interference of metabolic communication reverses immunosuppression to facilitate the intratumoral infiltration of immune cells.With H-MCH nanotandem-rockets as an in situ vaccine,systemic antitumor immunity and immune memory effect are fabricated to eliminate tumor metastasis and recurrence.Different from traditional metabolic poisons(e.g.,arsenic or cyanide),the structure of nanotandem-rockets endows chemical messengers with selective regulation to tumor metabolic communication,but with minimal influence to normal tissues.The nanotandem-rockets provide a powerful paltform to augment the regulating actitiy of chemical messengers in metabolic communication.We expect our discovery of disrupting tumor metabolic communication with chemical messengers will be a powerful strategy for tumor therapy with vast practical applications.Henan Zhao Yuyan Zou Wei Wang Yihong Liu Yuqing Li Bowen Jin Jianghua Li Wansong Chen You-Nian Liu 2023Nano Research2023,16,5:0
