1Interaction Between Charge Characteristics and Cu^(2+) Adsorption-Desorption of Soils with Variable or Permanent Charge显示文摘Charge characteristics and Cu2+ adsorption-desorption of soils with variable charge (latosol) and per-manent charge (brown soil) and the relationship between them were studied by means of back-titration andadsorption equilibrium respectively. The amount of variable negative charge was much less in variable-chargesoil than in permanent-charge soil and increased with the pH in the system, but the opposite trend occurredin the points of zero charge (PZCs). The amount of Cu2+ ions sorbed by permanent-charge soil was morethan that by variable-charge soil and increased with the increase of Cu2+ concentration within a certainrange in the equilibrium solution. The amount of Cu2+ ions desorbed with KCl from permanent-chargesoil was more than that from variable-charge soil, but the amount of Cu2+ ions desorbed with de-ionizedwater from permanent-charge soil was extremely low whereas there was still a certain amount of desorptionfrom variable-charge soil. The increase of PZC of soils with variable or permanent charge varied with theincrement of Cu2+ ions added. 3Comparison of the differentiation of dental pulp stem cells and periodontal ligament stem cells into neuron-like cells and their effects on focal cerebral ischemia显示文摘Recent studies have reported an in creasing in cidence of ischemic stroke,particularly in younger age groups.Dental pulp stem cells(DPSCs)and periodontal ligament stem cells(PDLSCs)are the most comm on stem cells acquired from the teeth of adults,even elderly people.However,there are no detailed reports on whether DPSCs or PDLSCs are suitable for the treatment of ischemic stroke.In this study,the in vitro differentiation of DPSCs and PDLSCs into neuron-like cells was evaluated.Then,we established a rat model of cerebral ischemia.DPSCs or PDLSCs were administered to animals,and the therapeutic effects of these two types of cells were investigated.The results showed that PDLSCs had a higher differentiation rate than DPSCs.Immunofluorescence studies showed that the expression of the neuronal differentiation markerThy-1 was higher in PDLSCs than in DPSCs,and other gene markers of neuronal differentiation showed corresponding trends,which were confirmed by western blot analysis.In this process,the Notch and Wnt signaling pathways were inhibited and activated,respectively.Fin ally,rats with transient occlusion of the right middle cerebral artery were used as a model to assess the therapeutic effect of PDLSCs and DPSCs on ischemia.The results showed that rats in the PDLSC-treated group emitted significantly greater red fluorescence signal than the DPSC-treated group.PDLSC transplantation promoted the recovery of neurological function more effectively than DPSC transplantation.Hence,PDLSCs represent an autogenous source of adult mesenchymal stem cells with desirable biological properties and may be an ideal candidate for clinical applications.Tingting Wu Wanting Xu Hanlin Chen Shasha Li Rengang Dou Hongtao Shen Xue Liu Xiaoyu Liu Yongfeng Hong Jiacai He 2020Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2020,52,9:2

8Poly(ether ether ketone ketone) based imidazolium as anion exchange membranes for alkaline fuel cells显示文摘An imidazolium functionalized poly(ether ether ketone ketone)(PEEKK-DIm OH)anion exchange membrane(AEM)readily soluble in certain low-boiling-point solvents(isopropanol)is prepared.The solubility results are consistent with the results of molecular dynamics simulations.By varying the chloromethylation reaction temperature or concentrated sulfuric acid concentration of PEEKK,the degrees of chloromethylation of PEEKK are changed from 54% to 92%,the corresponding PEEKK-DIm OH AEMs with the ion exchange capacities(IECs)of 1.14–1.65 mmol·g^(-1).The PEEKK-DIm OH 92% AEM shows high hydroxide conductivity(31 m S·cm^(-1)),suitable water uptake(94%)and acceptable swelling ratio(39%)at 60°C.In addition,the PEEKK-DIm OH AEMs possess good thermal and alkaline stability.The maximum power density(46.16 mW·cm^(-2))of fuel cell prepared with PEEKK-DIm OH 92%AEM as exchange membrane and ionomer is much higher than that with commercial AHA membranes.All the above results indicate that the PEEKK used in this study is a promising AEM matrix material for alkaline fuel cells.Tiantian Li Xuemei Wu Wanting Chen Xiaoming Yan Dongxing Zhen Xue Gong Jiafei Liu Shaofeng Zhang Gaohong He 2018Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2018,26,10:1
9“1+1>2”:Highly efficient removal of organic pollutants by composite nanofibrous membrane based on the synergistic effect of adsorption and photocatalysis显示文摘Adsorption and photocatalysis are regarded as two desirable technologies for wastewater remediation,but are still unsatisfactory in removal effect,eco-friendly regeneration and facile reusability.In this study,we developed a composite nanofibrous membrane material with excellent removal performance for organic pollutants based on synergistic adsorption and photocatalysis.A novel boron-doped,nitrogen-deficient graphitic carbon nitride(B-C3N4)photocatalyst as well as an amphiphilic copolymer of methyl methacrylate and acrylic acid(p(MMA-AA))were synthesized respectively,and then used to modify polyethersulfone for the fabrication of composite nanofibrous membrane with improved hydrophilicity,negativelycharge property and enhanced visible light response simultaneously.Subsequently,the synergistic effect of adsorption and photocatalytic degradation for organic pollutants were identified especially and resulted in an excellent removal efficiency even superior to the combination of adsorption and photocatalytic degradation,which could be called a“1+1>2”effect.In addition,the regeneration and reusability,the purification ability for multicomponent wastewater,and the photocatalytic mechanism,were investigated and discussed systematically.In this work,we not only prepared the nanofibrous membrane with synergistic effect of adsorption and photocatalysis,but also provided a versatile approach to design dualfunctional support material to ensure the practical applications of powdery photocatalyst in wastewater treatment.Yuanting Xu Wanting Lin Dandan Yuan Shifan Chen Fang Li Yanping Long Chao He Weifeng Zhao Changsheng Zhao 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,29:1

11Lipid carriers for mRNA delivery显示文摘Messenger RNA(mRNA)is the template for protein biosynthesis and is emerging as an essential active molecule to combat various diseases,including viral infection and cancer.Especially,mRNA-based vaccines,as a new type of vaccine,have played a leading role in fighting against the current global pandemic of COVID-19.However,the inherent drawbacks,including large size,negative charge,and instability,hinder its use as a therapeutic agent.Lipid carriers are distinguishable and promising vehicles for mRNA delivery,owning the capacity to encapsulate and deliver negatively charged drugs to the targeted tissues and release cargoes at the desired time.Here,we first summarized the structure and properties of different lipid carriers,such as liposomes,liposome-like nanoparticles,solid lipid nanoparticles,lipid-polymer hybrid nanoparticles,nanoemulsions,exosomes and lipoprotein particles,and their applications in delivering mRNA.Then,the development of lipid-based formulations as vaccine delivery systems was discussed and highlighted.Recent advancements in the mRNA vaccine of COVID-19 were emphasized.Finally,we described our future vision and perspectives in this field.Wanting Zhang Yuxin Jiang Yonglong He Hamza Boucetta Jun Wu Zhongjian Chen Wei He 2023Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2023,13,10:1

13Lignin derived absorbent for efficient and sustainable CO_(2) capture显示文摘High and cost-efficient capture of CO_(2) is a prerequisite and an inevitable path of carbon emission reduction. To address the challenges(high cost, low efficiency, less sustainability, etc.) of existing petroleum-based CO_(2) absorbents, herein, a class of efficient and sustainable lignin-based absorbents were resoundingly prepared by grafting the active amine group on a lignin derived compound vanillin and alkali lignin. The results demonstrated that vanillin modified by acrylamide achieved the excellent absorption capacity among the three absorbents, whose ability was 0.114 g CO_(2) per gram of absorbent under 25 ℃ and 100 kPa. In addition, the absorbent retained stable absorbability of CO_(2) after 6 cycles.The absorbing capacity of the absorbent formed by the coupling of vanillin and acrylamide to CO_(2) was much greater than their own(i.e. 0 g CO_(2) ·g^(-1)vanillin, 0.01 g CO_(2) ·g^(-1) acrylamide, respectively).Detailed information revealed the multi-site synergistic absorption mechanism, in which CO_(2) has C and O double interactions with the amide group of the absorbent, and single interaction with the hydroxyl oxygen on the benzene ring of the absorbent. 14Development and validation of prognostic implications of chromosome abnormalities algorithm for newly diagnosed multiple myeloma显示文摘Fluorescence in situ hybridization(FISH)evaluation is essential for initial risk stratification in multiple myeloma(MM).The presence of specific cytogenetic abnormalities(CA)confers a heterogeneity impact on prognosis.However,the cutoff values among different centers are not uniform.Therefore,we conduct this study to better predict the prognosis of newly diagnosed MM patients based on FISH results.The Kaps method was used to calculate the chromosomal abnormal cutoff values.A total of 533 participants were included in the study.The best cutoff value of overall survival were as follows:17p20.1%,13q85%,1q21+39%,t(11;14)55.5%,t(14;16)87%,and t(4;14)53.5%.The survival analysis showed that 17pand 1q21+were the independent factors affecting both OS and progress free survival(PFS)among CA.The analysis based on the cutoff value obtained by Kaps suggested that 13q,t(14;16),17p,and 1q21+were independent factors affecting OS among CA;t(14;16),17p,and 1q21+were independent factors affecting PFS among CA.The prognostic model was constructed by the Kaps method with the Harrell concordance index(c-index)at 0.719(95%CI,0.683–0.756;corrected 0.707),which was higher than that calculated by the European Myeloma Network criteria(0.714;95%CI,0.678–0.751;corrected 0.696).In conclusion,chromosomal abnormalities in different proportions and combinations can affect the prognosis ofMMpatients.Therefore,effective criteria should be formulated to evaluate the prognosis ofMMpatients better.Tiancheng Luo Wanting Qiang Jing Lu Haiyan He Jin Liu Lu Li Hua Jiang Weijun Fu Juan Du 2021Blood Science2021,3,3:0
15Higher efficacy of oral etoposide for mobilization of peripheral blood stem cells in patients with multiple myeloma显示文摘This study compares the efficacy,toxicity,hematopoietic recovery,and cost of stem-cell mobilization using intermediate-dose cyclophosphamide(IDCy)plus granulocyte colony-stimulating factor(G-CSF)compared with etoposide(VP-16)plus pegylated granulocyte colony-stimulating factor(PEG-rhG-CSF)in multiple myeloma(MM)patients.Two hundred forty-four consecutive patients undergoing mobilization with IDCy(3-3.5g/m^(2))plus G-CSF(n=155)were compared with patients receiving VP-16 plus PEG-rhG-CSF(n=89),including oral etoposide(n=65)and intravenous etoposide(n=24).Compared with IDCy,VP-16 use was associated with significantly higher median peak peripheral blood CD34+cell count(8.20[range:1.84-84]×10^(6)/kg vs 4.58[range:0.1-27.9]×10^(6)/kg,P=.000),and ideal CD34+cell yield of more than 6×10^(6)/kg(56.8%vs 35.1%,P=.001),notably with a higher efficacy in oral VP-16 use compared with IDCy use(CD 34+cell counts:median peak peripheral blood 5.87 vs 4.58?106/kg and≥6×10^(6)/kg[48.4%vs 35.1%]).The median number of apheresis courses was reduced from two in the IDCy group to one in the VP-16 group(P=.000).IDCy use was associated with significantly more frequent episodes of neutropenia(70.2%vs 35.2%;P=.000),intravenous antibiotic use(13.2%vs 11.4%;P=.672),and hospitalization(P=.000).The recoveries of neutrophils and platelets after autologous stem-cell transplantation were significantly faster in the VP-16 group compared with the IDCy group(P=.000).Our data indicate robust stem-cell mobilization in MM patients with VP-16 delivered either orally or intravenously.When compared with intravenous VP-16,oral VP-16 mobilization was associated with significantly more convenient,lower average total costs,and especially decreased the risk of hospital visits and exposure.Wanting Qiang Hua Jiang Pei Guo Jing Lu Jin Liu Lu Li Haiyan He Xiaoxia Hu Weijun Fu Juan Du 2022Blood Science2022,4,2:0
16Comparative Analysis of the Effects of False Low-Price Marketing Strategy on Multiple Platforms显示文摘In order to make full use of the characteristics of commodity prices,merchants on e-commerce platforms have adopted the low-price marketing strategy.Regular promotional discounts can bring new vitality to the commodity sales market,but extreme discount marketing methods would lead to serious impacts on the sales of competing products,thus affecting the stable development of the online shopping market.The sales data of four electrical products using the false low-price marketing strategy on three e-commerce platforms(Taobao,JD,and Amazon)were used in this study.The sales data from different e-commerce platforms and different time periods were analyzed,and one-way ANOVA was used on the factors affecting the effect of marketing strategy.The results showed that there is a significant difference between the direct marketing of high-priced products and low-priced products on Taobao;the difference between the marketing effects of high-priced products and mid-priced products on JD and Amazon is significant.This analysis would help businesses formulate reasonable marketing strategies and promote the stable development of the online shopping market.Wanting He Xixi Zhu Lianghui Zhao 2021Proceedings of Business and Economic Studies2021,4,6:0
17In-Orbit Calibration Uncertainty of the Microwave Radiation Imager on board Fengyun-3C显示文摘This study evaluates the in-orbit calibration uncertainty(CU)for the microwave radiation imager(MWRI)on board the Chinese polar-orbiting meteorological satellite Fengyun-3 C(FY-3 C).Uncertainty analysis of the MWRI provides a direct link to the calibration system of the sensor and quantifies the calibration confidence based on the prelaunch and postlaunch measurements.The unique design of the sensor makes the uncertainty in the calibration of the sensor highly correlate to the uncertainty in the brightness temperature(TB)measured at the hot view,while the cold view has negligible impacts on the calibration confidence.Lack of knowledge on the emission of the hot-load reflector hampers the MWRI calibration accuracy significantly in the descending passes of the orbits when the hotload reflector is heated nonuniformly by the solar illumination.Radiance contamination originating from the satellite and in-orbit environments could enter the primary reflector via the hot view and further impinge on the CU,especially at the 10.65-GHz channels where the main-beam width is much broader than that of higher-frequency channels.The monthly-mean CU is lower than 2 K at all channels,depending on the observed earth scenes and in-orbit environments,and the month-to-month variation of CU is also noticed for all channels.Due to the uncertainty in the emissive hot-load reflector,CU in the descending passes is generally larger than that in the ascending orbits.Moreover,up to 1-K CU difference between the ocean and land scenes is found for the 10.65-GHz channels,while this difference is less than 0.1 K at the 89-GHz channels.Xinxin XIE Wanting MENG Jiakai HE Weimin YU Xue LI 2021Journal of Meteorological Research2021,35,6:0

19A PD-L1-targeting chimeric switch receptor enhances efficacy of CAR-T cell for pleural and peritoneal metastasis显示文摘Pleural and peritoneal metastasis accompanied by malignant pleural effusion(MPE)or malignant ascites(MA)is frequent in patients with advanced solid tumors that originate from the lung,breast,gastrointestinal tract and ovary.Regional delivery of CAR-T cells represents a new strategy to control tumor dissemination in serous cavities.However,malignant effusions constitute an immune-suppressive environment that potentially induces CAR-T cell dysfunction.Here,we demonstrated that the anti-tumor cytotoxicity of conventional 2nd-generation CAR-T cells was significantly inhibited by both the cellular and non-cellular components of MPE/MA,which was primarily attributed to impaired CAR-T cell proliferation and cytokine production in MPE/MA environment.Interestingly,we found that PD-L1 was widely expressed on freshly-isolated MPE/MA cells.Based on this feature,a novel PD-L1-targeting chimeric switch receptor(PD-L1.BB CSR)was designed,which can bind to PD-L1,switching the inhibitory signal into an additional 4-1BB signal.When co-expressed with a 2nd-generation CAR,PD-L1.BB CSR-modified CAR-T cells displayed superior fitness and enhanced functions in both culture medium and MPE/MA environment,causing rapid and durable eradication of pleural and peritoneal metastatic tumors in xenograft models.Further investigations revealed elevated expressions of T-cell activation,proliferation,and cytotoxicity-related genes,and we confirmed that PD-L1 scFv and 4-1BB intracellular domain,the two important components of PD-L1.BB CSR,were both necessary for the functional improvements of CAR-T cells.Overall,our study shed light on the clinical application of PD-L1.BB CSR-modified dual-targeting CAR-T cells.Based on this study,a phase I clinical trial was initiated in patients with pleural or peritoneal metastasis(NCT04684459).Qizhi Ma Xia He Benxia Zhang Fuchun Guo Xuejin Ou Qiyu Yang Pei Shu Yue Chen Kai Li Ge Gao Yajuan Zhu Diyuan Qin Jie Tang Xiaoyu Li Meng Jing Jian Zhao Zeming Mo Ning Liu Yao Zeng Kexun Zhou Mingyang Feng Weiting Liao Wanting Lei Qiu Li Dan Li Yongsheng Wang 2022Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2022,7,12:0
