1Segregation analysis of hepatocellular carcinoma in a moderately high-incidence area of East China显示文摘AIM: To explore the mode of inheritance of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) in a moderately high-incidence area of East China.METHODS: A pedigree survey was conducted in 210 families (3315 individuals) ascertained through 210 HCC probands in Haimen, Jiangsu Province. Simple segregation analysis was conducted using SEGRANB software. The probability of ascertainment (π), segregation ratio (p), and the proportion of sporadic cases (x) were estimated. Complex segregation analysis was performed using the REGTL program of S.A.G.E.Models were fitted on the data of 3212 individuals that allowed for personal HBsAg status and variable age of onset in REGTL program.RESULTS: The estimate of segregation ratio was 0.191 by SEGRANB. The probability of ascertainment was 0.0266, and the proportion of sporadic cases was 0.465. The results of complex segregation analysis showed that Mendelian autosomal recessive inheritance of a major gene that influenced the age of onset distribution of HCC, provided the best fit to the data. In the best-fitting recessive model,the frequency of the disease allele was 0.11138. HBsAg seropositive status would significantly increase the risk of developing HCC.CONCLUSION: These results suggest that at least one major gene is involved in the genetic predisposition to develop HCC at an earlier age of onset. 2Expression of some tumor associated factors in human carcinogenesis and development of gastric carcinoma显示文摘AIM: To study the effect of IGF-1/IGF-1R and gastrin/CCK-BR on carcinogenesis and development of human gastric carcinoma and to explore its mechanism and provide a credible theoretical foundation for early diagnosis and molecular therapy of gastric carcinoma.METHODS: mRNA expression levels of IGF-1/IGF-1R and gastrin/CCK-BR were assessed by RT-PCR method in gastric cancer tissues, adjacent mucosa, and tumor-free tissues from 56 patients with gastric carcinoma and normal gastric mucosae from 56 healthy controls. Tissue specimens were obtained by biopsy and confirmed by histological evaluation.RESULTS: The mRNA levels of IGF-1/IGF-1R were increased in gastric cancer tissues compared with normal tissues from healthy controls and successively increased in tumor-free tissues, adjacent mucosa, and gastric cancer tissues. The mRNA levels of gastrin/CCK-BR were increased in gastric cancer tissues compared with normal tissues from healthy controls. There was a significant difference between gastric cancer tissues and adjacent mucosa and tumor-free tissues, but the mRNA levels of gastrin were not significantly increased in adjacent mucosa and gastric cancer tissues compared with tumorfree tissues. The mRNA levels of CCK-BR were increased in gastric cancer tissues and adjacent mucosa compared with tumor-free tissues, but not significantly increased in adjacent mucosa and gastric cancer tissues compared with gastric cancer tissues.CONCLUSION: Overexpression of IGF-1/IGF-1R and gastrin/CCK-BR promotes the disorderly proliferation of gastric mucosa epithelia and it is of great significance in the carcinogenesis and development of gastric carcinoma.Ming-DongZhao Xue-MeiHu Dian-JingSun QunZhang Yu-HaoZhang WeiMeng 2005World Journal of Gastroenterology2005,11,21:8

4Electrolyte-mediated dense integration of graphene-MXene films for high volumetric capacitance flexible supercapacitors显示文摘High conductivity two-dimensional(2D)materials have been proved to be potential electrode materials for flexible supercapacitors because of its outstanding chemical and physical properties.However,electrodes based on 2D materials always suffer from limited electrolyte-accessible surface due to the restacking of the 2D sheets,hindering the full utilization of their surface area.In this regard,an electrolyte-mediated method is used to integrate dense structure reduced graphene oxide/MXene(RGM)-electrolyte composite films.In such composite films,reduced graphene oxide(RGO)and MXene sheets are controllable assembly in compact layered structure with electrolyte filled between the layers.The electrolyte layer between RGO and MXene sheets forms continuous ion transport channels in the composite films.Therefore,the RGM-electrolyte composite films can be used directly as self-supporting electrodes for supercapacitors without additional conductive agents and binders.As a result,the composite films demonstrate enhanced volumetric specific capacity,improved volumetric energy density and higher power density compared with both pure RGO electrode and porous composite electrode prepared by traditional methods.Specifically,when the mass ratio of MXene is 30%,the electrode delivers a volumetric specific capacity of 454.9 F·cm^(−3) with a high energy density of 39.4 Wh·L^(−1).More importantly,supercapacitors based on the composite films exhibit good flexibility electrochemical performance.The investigation provides a new approach to synthesize dense structure films based on 2D materials for application in high volumetric capacitance flexible supercapacitors.Min Zhang Jun Cao Yi Wang Jia Song Tianci Jiang Yanyu Zhang Weimeng Si Xiaowei Li Bo Meng Guangwu Wen 2021Nano Research2021,14,3:2
5Biomarker geochemistry of marine organic matter in the Hushan and Chaohu areas,Lower Yangtze region显示文摘Marine strata are widely exposed in the Hushan and Chaohu areas, Lower Yangtze region. As biomarker geochemistry of the strata has not been well documented, this paper deals with the biomarker composition of representative samples collected from the Silurian, Carboniferous and Triassic systems and their geological implications, thus providing clues to marine organic matter. On the basis of experimental results, it is shown that abundant biomarkers (e.g. n-alkanes, isoprenoids, terpanes and steranes) were detected. As organic matter in the strata is highly to over mature in general based on petrologic microobservation, some biomarkers (mainly n-alkanes) except terpanes and steranes cannot reflect the source, depositional environment and maturity of organic matter. Thus, primarily based on analyses of the terpanes and steranes, it is suggested that organic matter in the Silurian and Carboniferous strata is derived mainly from lower organisms, while higher plants are predominant in the Triassic organic matter. This further indicates that the depositional environment may have transformed from the marine to continental facies in the Late Triassic. These results provide new evidence for the study of regional depositional evolution, and have enriched the study of biological composition of organic matter. 8Effect of Panaxtriol Saponins on synaptophysin and postsynaptic density-95 expression at different periods of cerebral infarction显示文摘BACKGROUND:The change in expression of synaptophysin (Syp) and postsynaptic density-95 (PSD-95) alters after cerebral infarction,and the plasticity of synapses contributes greatly to nerve function recovery. Chinese medicinal substances may play an important role in the expression of Syp and PSD-95. OBJECTIVE: To observe the effect of Panaxtriol Saponins (PTS),an active component in Sanqi tongshu capsules,on the expression of Syp and PSD-95 after cerebral infarction at different time points in rats,so as to examine the cerebral function remodeling mechanism. DESIGN,TIME AND SETTING: A randomized and controlled observation which was performed in Dongzhimen Hospital,Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January to March,2007. MATERIALS: Twenty-six healthy male Sprague Dawley rats were used to establish middle cerebral artery occlusion based on the Longa method. Sanqi tongshu capsules (containing 100 mg PTS per tablet) were provided by the Chengdu Huashen Group and nimodipine tablets (30 mg) by Tianjin Zhongyang Pharmaceutical Co.,Ltd. METHODS: Twenty-six rats were randomly divided into an operation group (n=21) and a control group (n=5). The operation group underwent the EZ Longa procedure to make the middle cerebral artery occlusion model. After surgery rats were randomly divided into a model group,a PTS group and a nimodipine group,with seven rats in each group. Rats were intragastrically administrated with saline (2 mL/d) in the model group,with Sanqi tongshu capsule (5.4 mg/100 g/d) in the PTS group,and with nimodipine (1.73 mg/100 g/d) in the nimodipine group. Rats in the control group did not undergo model establishment and drug administration. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: The expressions of Syp and PSD-95 were measured by immunohistochemical and image analysis at days 3,7 and 28 after the operation. RESULTS: The expression of Syp and PSD-95 in the operation group was significantly lower than in the control group at days 3,7,28 postoperatively (P<0.05). The expression of Syp and PSD-95 in the PTS group and nimodipine group was significantly higher than in the model group at day 28 postoperatively (P< 0.05-0.01). Additionally,after PTS and nimodipine treatment at different intervals,the expression of Syp and PSD-95 at day 28 postoperatively was significantly higher than those at days 3 and 7 postoperatively,respectively (P<0.01). 15Functions of Nitrogen,Phosphorus and Potassium in Energy Status and Their Influences on Rice Growth and Development显示文摘Nitrogen(N),phosphorus(P)and potassium(K)are important essential nutrients for plant growth and development,but their functions in energy status remains unclear.Here,we grew Nipponbare rice seedlings in a growth chamber for 20 d at 30℃/24℃day/night)under natural sunlight conditions with different nutrient regimes.The results showed that N had the strongest influence on the plant growth and development,followed by P and K.The highest nonstructural carbohydrate content,dry matter weight,net photosynthetic rate(Pn),ATP content,as well as NADH dehydrogenase,cytochrome oxidase and ATPase activities were found in the plants that received sufficient N,P and K.The lowest values of these parameters were detected in the N-deficient plants.Higher dry matter accumulation was observed in the K-deficient than in the P-deficient treatments,but there was no significant difference in the ratio of respiration rate to Pn between these two treatments,suggesting that differences in energy production efficiency may have accounted for this result.This hypothesis was confirmed by higher ATP contents and activities of NADH dehydrogenase,cytochrome oxidase and ATPase in the K-deficient plants than in the P-deficient plants.We therefore inferred different abilities in energy production efficiency among N,P and K in rice seedlings,which determined rice plant growth and development.MA Jiaying CHEN Tingting LIN Jie FU Weimeng FENG Baohua LI Guangyan LI Hubo LI Juncai WU Zhihai TAO Longxing FU Guanfu 2022Rice science2022,29,2:0

18A UV cross-linked gel polymer electrolyte enabling high-rate and high voltage window for quasi-solid-state supercapacitors显示文摘Serving as a promising alternative to liquid electrolyte in the application of portable and wearable devices,gel polymer electrolytes(GPEs)are expected to obtain more preferable properties rather than just be satisfied with the merits of high safety and deformability.Here,an easy-operated method is employed to fabricate cross-linked composite polymer membranes used for GPEs assisted by UV irradiation,in which N-doped carbon quantum dots(N-CQDs)and TiO2are introduced as photocatalysts and additives to improve the performances of GPEs.Specifically,N-CQDs participate as a cross-linker to construct the inner porous structure,and TiO2nanoparticles serve as a stabilizer to improve the electrochemical stability of GPEs under high voltage(3.5 V).The excellent thermal and mechanical stability of the membrane fabricated in this work guarantee the safety of the supercapacitors(SCs).This GPE based SC not only exhibits prominent rate performance(105%capacitance retention at the current density of 40A g^(-1))and cyclic stability(85%at 1 A g^(-1)under 3.5 V after 20,000 cycles),but also displays remarkable energy density(42.88 Wh kg^(-1))with high power density(19.3 k W kg^(-1)).Moreover,the superior rate and cycling performances of the as-prepared GPE based flexible SCs under flat and bending state confirm the feasibility of its application in flexible energy storage devices.Yuge Bai Chao Yang Boheng Yuan Hongjie Li Weimeng Chen Haosen Yin Bin Zhao Fei Shen Xiaogang Han 2023Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,1:0
